Your biggest inspiration in music has been LOVE. You always try to tell us what love is with your lyrics. And for that I’m humble towards your talent. Over the course of this year Taylor Swift has met probably nearly 1,000 fans or more, and not one fan has paid a dime to meet her, not now and not ever. You meet Taylor because Taylor wants to meet You. From finding fans through social media or in the stands, she invites us to secret shows, fan events, pre and post show meet and greets, and listening sessions at her houses.

One year ago I was one of those lucky enough to be sitting on the floor in her house, listening to her unreleased album. She was really happy and excited to share her music and the stories behind the songs with us and you could tell she was extremely proud of her artwork. She trusted us, strangers, with her music, to not leak song titles or lyrics before the album was released.

She has a special way of connecting with her fans, knowing their names before they even say hi, knowing what is going on in their lives. She took the time for individualized attention and made you feel like you mattered. Like you were the only two people in the room.

I’ll never know exactly what post I made that got her attention, but I do know that it made some sort of impact on her life. I never thought I would get to meet her again with her world wide known fame, but she is just as grounded as she ever was, as 10 years ago when I met her for the first time. People may not understand my love for Taylor, but that’s okay, that’s for me to worry about. I will never forget that special night and the memories we made. Thank you Taylor. 🖤

So Taylor honestly has the sweetest most adorable smile and like I knew that already but being in a room with her and seeing her smiling in person is still making my heart swell with love. Best birthday present! 9 years ago today you wished me a happy early 20th birthday on MySpace. Flash forward 9 years and here we are again the eve of my 29th birthday receiving my photo. Trying to remember this night when it was all a blur, her excitement, my excitement, our reunion from giving her the Fearless Bracelet, and tears nearly forming moments before this memory was snapped from the past 11 years and all the walls we’ve crashed through. She said I was pretty. Thank you for this moment Taylor! @taylorswift

A year ago today, I was invited to an amazing night and sometimes I still can’t believe it. This night was something that I needed after so many hardships I’ve gone through. In 2014, I unexpectedly lost my dad and I struggled through depression, various anxiety attacks, and just not wanting to be where I was. Before Taylor released her 1989 album, I was contacted by Taylor Nation for an event. I couldn’t go because of transportation but also because I was still in mourning and couldn’t bring myself to do much. When the album came out, I did go out and buy it and it was the album that brought my spirits up. I listened to it for months and months that it was always playing in my car and at home. In 2015, my sister and I went to the 1989 world tour and I was a night we both needed. We sang, we danced, and had fun all night. Then to 2017, I was doing better than the past years. Financial troubles and some up and downs but I am staying strong for my mom and my sister. Then the secret sessions began to happen for reputation and I remember my sister asking if I would get invited. I told her that honestly it would be really cool but if I didn’t, it would fine as well. The next day I got a message from Taylor Nation.

I wish I could’ve told Taylor that I was invited to the 1989 session, but the nerves got the best of me. But I am still so grateful for this moment, this grand memory.
