Holiday ficlets?! May I please have something Hanukkah-themed with any combination of Kylo, Hux and Mitaka?

Kylo was waiting on the sidewalk for him, just like he did every weekday morning.

He was staring up at the apartment so Dopheld waved, almost knocking over the candles he’d set up the night before. He didn’t wave back, but he rarely did, so that didn’t worry Dopheld too much.

That he was waiting for him at all was proof enough that he cared.

It was strange-Dopheld couldn’t pinpoint exactly when happening to meet on the way to work had changed to deliberately walking together, but the ritual had quickly become the highlight of his day.

Dopheld had been living alone in this city for over a year now, a few thousand miles from his family, and while he loved his career his hours made finding friends a little difficult. At least he’d found a sense of community thought the local synagogue- Kylo didn’t even seem to have that.

To say his coworker was enigmatic would be like saying water was slightly damp. Kylo talked very little about himself, though he could talk for hours on any number of other subjects given half a chance. He’d once explained calligraphy so well that Dopheld felt he could do it without ever having held a brush in his life, and yet Dopheld still wasn’t clear about his actual role at the company.

This morning he was being quiet, the collar of his stylish but impractical jacket turned up high around his ears.

One of these days Dopheld was going to ‘accidentally’ bring an extra scarf out with him. He just couldn’t stand seeing those adorably huge ears turning red all because Kylo chose aesthetic over dressing appropriately for the weather.

Dopheld was just about to say something about that when Kylo muttered toward the asphalt, “I really miss my mom’s cooking this time of year.”

Kylo almost never mentioned his mother. From what Dopheld understood she’d passed away just before Kylo had moved here, a year after his father’s death. She’d been a politician or something of that type, and rarely at home when Kylo was growing up. Though that seemed to conflict with what he was saying now.

Just as Dopheld was about to ask a follow up question Kylo sighed and went on, “She hardly ever cooked. Leia wasn’t the cooking type. Han had the kitchen renovated for a wedding present and I swear she only went into once a year. He did all the cooking, him and my uncle Chewie. But man… her latkes were the best.”

Dopheld eyebrows went up at that so fast he almost felt the urge to cover them with his hand, but Kylo glanced at him, and blushed, and wasn’t that just the cutest thing.

6’3” guys with more muscle than a rhino had no right looking so cute.

“My mom’s latkes are good, but you should try her sufganiyot,” Dopheld chuckled in an effort to make him feel at ease. “If you’d lived within five miles of our house you wouldn’t have had a choice, I swear she can’t make less than fifty at a time.”

Kylo smiled though he didn’t meet his eye. A laugh was almost unheard of from him, but a smile was more than good enough.

“Oh the doughnuts…” He said with another sigh. “I used to climb on the counter just to watch them go in the pan. I thought it was almost magic back then.”

They paused as they waited for the crossing signal, Kylo nervously running his fingers back through his long hair.

“I didn’t realise you were Jewish,” Dopheld said quietly. It had never come up in all Kylo’s many monologues, but then he didn’t really talk about himself, just his interests.

The gesture Kylo made was almost a shrug and almost an attempt to hide further into his jacket.

“It’s complicated. Mom… Leia was adopted and Han didn’t really believe in anything specific. I…” He stared off into the distance for a few seconds then shook his head. “Sorry. I saw your menorah, and I guess it brought back some things.”

Dopheld bit his lip while his brain tried to argue itself in circles. They walked to work together every day but they rarely saw one another after work- apparently Kylo had a lot of gym sessions, and Dopheld tended to work late at the beginning of the week. But that didn’t mean Dopheld didn’t want to spend more time with Kylo.

And right now Kylo seemed like he’d appreciate the company.

“You know,” he said with all the bravery he could muster, “Hanukkah is supposed to be a social thing, and I guess I’ve inherited my mom’s cooking skills because I have absolutely no portion control so, well, you know, if you want, you could uh… would you like to come over to my place after work tonight? I could do with someone to help me with all that food…”

Kylo gave him one of those rare bright smiles.

“I’d like that. Thank you.”

The relief was so palpable Dopheld almost melted into the sidewalk.

“Great,” he said around a grin that was so wide he knew he looked like a fool but was powerless to resist. “We can walk back together.”

Kylo only nodded in reply, but while they waited at the next crossing light he hooked his pinky finger around Dopheld’s own.

This was going to be the best holiday he’d had in ages.

He’d have to text his mom for recipes the instant he got to his desk.

It just hit me:

Like, Hux and Kylo do indeed fuse (by whacky force shenanigans I guess) and they both had always had latent feelings for Mitaka. (And maybe they had agreed to not fight over his affections because things could get too dirty even for them... or something?)

So, being now one and the same person, (best and probably also worst of both worlds tho? I mean, does Hux's control over his emotions help with Kylo's lack over them? But I guess Hux's possessiveness isn't exactly getting better tho.) NOW they go in and flirt the shit out of Mitaka.

Who's confused, intrigued, scared but also 100000000% down to fuck this absolutely gorgeous person. (As if his two commanders hadn't been gorgeous enough in the first place)

Mitaka fought back the urge toclear his throat. It was psychosomatic, he knew. There was no craggy phlegm, notickling itch, no insidious illness creeping up his windpipe. It was ghostpain. A whisper caught in his vocal chords. His nerves’ knee jerk reaction tofear and excitement and.

“Mitaka,”

Oh, yes.

“Supreme Leader,”

And Him.

Mitaka swallowed the sensation; thetitle had made Kylo’s expression twist and stutter before coming to tense rest.Mitaka had fucked up. So badly, in fact, that he’d contemplated throwinghimself out of an air lock not long after it had happened. Not with themoniker. ‘Supreme Leader’ may have still sat ugly and overlarge on Kylo’sshoulders but it wasn’t enough to make him upset with Mitaka.

It had been in the quiet way thatMitaka had let himself fall apart and whisper in the dark corners of their mostrecent liaison that.

That.

For fuck’s sake, he’d told the manthat he loved him and then panicked.The Lieutenant had jerked his boots on and bolted from the room, leaving a halfconscious and fully bewildered Kylo behind him. It was only by the hand of somedivine providence that Kylo hadn’t followed immediately. Mitaka had been leftalone with his thoughts long enough for them to dig deep and begin eating wayat him from the inside out.

They’d been fucking—there reallywasn’t a more appropriate word for it—for such a brief period that even callingone another by their given names seemed odd.

Kylo’s body had been recovered inthe aftermath of the rebel attack and he’d been attended to by medical droidsand Mitaka had been pulling triple duty to keep the other officers in line andsleep walking from responsibility to responsibility. It had been chaotic.Tension and madness. He could hardly remember one day ending and anotherbeginning. And one evening, who knows how many things converged for it tohappen, Kylo and Mitaka had ended up in a private corner in med bay. Whispering. Fumbling and silent and fucking eachother’s brains out without much preamble or aftermath.

Pure anxiety and physical release.Strange comforts.

It became a regular thing, sure.Enough for actual beds to be involved. But there was never conversation—they neverheld each other afterwards and whispered their hopes and dreams and fears and.

And Mitaka had still felt himselffalling for the other man. Fighting back wistful smiles when he saw him on thebridge and wanting all the things that came with soppy heartfelt affections.

Kylo was staring at him.

“Er.” Mitaka wavered. “Goodmorning, sir,” Kylo offered him a silent nod before,

“Are you alright?” His voice waseven and careful; the low rumbling of it made Mitaka’s shoulders clench. Rightto it, then. Shit.

No, no not really. A tide of nausearose up in Mitaka’s stomach. “Yessir,” the lie sounded thin and reedy even ashe worked to cut it off. “Very alright, sir,” he was acutely aware that bytrying to dig his way out of this conversation he was going to end up buriedalive. That knowledge did little to stop him. “Never better,”

The Supreme Leader’s expression didan interesting dance, chewing his words before spilling them out.

“If you don’t want to talk aboutwhat happened, then say so,” he took a step closer and if Mitaka had been in aclearer state of mind he may have thought to step back. “Don’t just lie,” hiseyes were narrowing and the sight sent a jolt of terror through Mitaka’s core. “Don’tjust say it’s fine,”

The next few words out of Mitaka’smouth came from somewhere besides his brain; his mouth refused to fess up.

“I owe you an apology,” he couldn’tlook Kylo in the eye, but he could see how the tension in Kylo’s body changed. “…Sir,I am so sorry that I…did that,”. He went to continue when a pulse of something radiated off the force user.Mitaka glanced up in time to see the line of Kylo’s shoulders relax down andhis body move in close enough to touch.

“Accepted,” he said easily. And hishands were on Mitaka’s shoulders and he was pressing in a kiss to Mitaka’scheek and.

Smiling. And?

What the fuck was happening?

“Just don’t run out next time? Ithought I’d done something wrong,” he nuzzled up against Mitaka’s temple,breathing slow and steady.

Mitaka floundered, drowning in air.

“Oh. I,” Kylo pulled back and waslooking calmly down at him, as though the wildly inappropriate declaring ofaffection was a minor detail that didn’t bother him in the slightest. Perhapsit didn’t, said a hopeful part of Mitaka’s brain. “I won’t,”

Continuation drabble from college au?

Thankfully for Mitaka his textbook arrived before the end of the week so he no longer had to share with his lab partner. Kylo had tried during those first few days to make conversation but Phel didn’t let it go on.

He kept his sentences clipped and it worked for a time. He only spoke to the guy when it was about the assignments they were working on. His coldness was mostly out of spite but also lack of surety. What was Phel supposed to say to Kylo?

If he talked too long he was sure he would yell at him about what he had done to him those years past. His self-esteem hadn’t recovered unlike the thin white scars on his skin that he kept hidden under long sleeves and foundation. He hadn’t touched a blade in years but the stress made him glace to the box he kept them in his dorm room.

When Mitaka didn’t show up to lab Kylo was a bit worried. He’d always known Mitaka as a straight A student and perfect attendance, so for him to be absent must have been something serious. Even though he knew the other would push him away he decided to try anyway so after lab finished for the day he got Phel’s copy of the work and took it too his dorm.

He told the front desk that he was Dopheld’s lab partner and he had the work he missed that day. The RA escorted Kylo to the right door and knocked twice. Phel didn’t answer so he tried again. Still no answer. Both a bit worried they knocked a last time before the RA unlocked the door and let Kylo in.

They saw him resting on the bed and the RA took his leave. As quiet as he could Kylo left the work on the desk and wrote a note for Phel. he was about to leave when he noticed it out of the corner of his eye. The blade sat on the bathroom sink along with bandages, peroxide, and butterfly bandages (ones used for deep gashes).

In a panic then Kylo rushed to where Phel was sleeping ans saw the gauze on his wrist and also one on his inner thigh. Yes he looked when the wrist wounds were not deep enough for the other bandages. He didn’t know what to do, or who he should contact. The councilor? The Medical Center? It wasn’t his business but he felt he needed to do something so after a steadying breath he gently shook the other awake.

I’ve found an amazing story with Kylo as Matt (the radar technician) fell in love with Mitaka and this story is so cute! I want more, but there is no more (well, there is, the next part by the same author, it’s just obviously not enough). Then I’ve found other fics with them (hot as hell), but this was the first so it impressed me deeply.

I can’t stop thinking about this ship now. Mitaka and Kylo as Matt especally, though Kylo as Kylo is sweet too. All the plots, all the intrigues, all the kink stuff... um, sorry.

Just try to imagine:

Kylo *thinking while kissing Mitaka*: I am a powerful Force-user. Supreme Leader’s apprentice. Magister of the Knights of Ren. Sith. If I want more, I should take it without doubts. I should do it!

Mitaka: Matt, sweetheart, is everything fine?

Kylo: *deep breath* *You can do it, Kylo.*
