I was planning to post this much sooner, but I keep forgetting to lol. I made this before the solo Helga picture, and since I didn't wanna seem like I was slacking off on that and keep true to my word, I decided I wanted to share this after finishing and posting the other picture too. More Shortaki, 'cause I just felt like it. Good thing it was Valentines' Day a while ago. I just wanna draw these two more 'cause that's how much I love 'em, but because I want to get to other characters too, I'll try keeping them few and far between for now.  I dunno what Helga did to make Arnold ambush her with a hug like that, but it must've been something. But uh . . . You better hope that’s not concrete below them or something.  Also just to explain Helga's long sleeves there, I was trying to make a different design for her like I saw others do, but I couldn't think of anything. I was better of just not doing that honestly. Could've even just drawn her TJM version like I did with Arnold, but whatever. I never know how to end things off so just have a good day (and if you celebrated Valentines' Day, I hope you had a good one)!

I'm just a Tweek multi-shipper and barely see any content for stuff like that. I know it's there but it's so much easier to find stuff for Creek, Cryde, Cryle, Staig, Crenny etc. (sorry for the rant)

I guess I'll take this opportunity to explain in full. I was gonna do a Down The Rabbit Hole-style dissection of everything to do with Ric but I guess I'll just summarise normally :P

Long story short, ric122 (Richard Agosto) is a guy with a massive obsession with Stendy and, more specifically, adult Stendy where they have kids. He got pretty infamous a few years ago for going to SP bloggers on tumblr, including many who didn't ship Stendy or did art by commission instead of requests, and asking them 'Will you draw adult Wendy Testaburger Marsh with her son?'

As well as kinda giving Stendy an unfairly bad reputation in the fandom for quite a while, Ric also has a really gross tendency to steal people's writing without credit or slightly rewrite fics about other ships to be about his own ships, including shipping Wendy with his fan kid Sam Marsh, because he's a gross piece of shit like that.

As you might imagine, people in the SP fandom didn't particularly like him for this, so it became a big meme to joke about Ric asking people to draw adult Wendy Testaburger Marsh with her son (which I did my share of XD).

After looking into him more, people found some more screwed up stuff, from his youtube channel where he sang about loving Stendy and Kybe and hating Kyman, to his Twitter where he said homophobic, racist and pro-Trump shit and posted boners he got from watching Riverdale, to his Facebook where he publicly shares his gross incest fanfics despite his mom being one of his few friends on there.

The last big trend to involve Ric before he kinda stopped being talked about so often was when people decided to respond to his drawing requests... by drawing Kyman to piss him off. (I don't remember if people who don't ship Kyman did it too but either way it was pretty hilarious.)

He pops up in conversation occasionally when he does stupid shit (I think he launched a Change.org campaign and changed it to be about getting his fan kids and adult Stendy into the show after a bunch of non-SP fans signed thinking it was something else), but since he originally came to the fandom's attention back in like 2017 he's kinda become an old meme we see again occasionally when he does dumb shit. If you wanna see some of the old posts about him they're all tagged as ric122 on my blog.

Headcanons for Kybe Family?

Eh, probably not. I’m not as big on Kybe as a ship, so it’s harder for me to come up with stuff about them.

The most I can say is they’d probably be a pretty career-driven couple (Because of Bebe’s Boobs Destroy Society, I like to imagine that Bebe would value getting by in the world based on her efforts rather than her looks. And then Kyle is just, you know, Kyle.), with Bebe going into law and Kyle going into medicine. They’d still fit a child into their busy lives, though, because Kyle would definitely want a baby, and Bebe wouldn’t be against one either. And the kid would definitely grow up to be as smart and hard-working as their parents, and do really well in school! (Though they’d probably wish mom and dad had more time to play with them…)

That’s about as far as my headcanons for a Kybe family go though, heh. I hope it was enough for you! ^^;

I actually made both of these a while ago, but I held off on posting them because A: Procrastination, and B: I wasn’t exactly sick yesterday, but overthinking stuff can lead me to making myself feel sick, so I didn’t feel like posting. 

But y’know, it’ll never be off my plate until I do post them, so without further ado, here you go:

Now I know that I said I was doing little character drawings for the time being, but I wasn’t patient enough to wait to draw some Shortaki. I’ll still do those character drawings, I just wanted to please myself too.

The present was originally going to be a bouquet of flowers (which would’ve explained Arnold’s blush there), but it’s the holidays, so a present makes more sense. So now, I don’t even know what’s in the box. so your guess is as good as mine. It’s not flowers though. 

I didn’t realize until after making this, that this was kind of a missed opportunity. I won’t say what I thought of doing instead in case I do it in the future, but it has something to do with the christmas special. 

I know they have different outfits in the Jungle Movie and are also aged up a bit, but it’s been since 2019-2020 since I last saw that movie, as opposed to me watching the whole show in October this year. The show designs are more fresh in my mind, and I admittedly prefer the show outfits as a result.

But admittedly, the second reason I made this is also because I kinda liked drawing Arnold that first time and wanted to draw him more. He’s one of my favorite characters, tied with Helga because I can’t choose between the two. The reasons for them both being my favorites is for entirely different reasons, and I want to explain them both when I draw Helga alone, because I feel like I’ll have a better place to talk about it rather than a holiday drawing.

As far as I know, that’s all I have to say about this drawing, so here’s the second one:

Oh boy . . . How do I explain this.

Basically, I was thinking about how annoyed he’d be if he could actually hear all those times Helga calls his name in the intro. I know it’s out of character, but for the most part I just wanted to draw a joke thing (though the out of character part of it did make it a little jarring to draw, mostly the text). 

And if you’re wondering why his eyes look different this time, it’s because I’m still not sure how I should do the eyes are the HA! characters, and was trying something else out. Not sure if I’ll keep it, but expect the eyes to be inconsistent as we go further. At least until I can settle on something that works for me.

so my grandpa's family is all russian jews that came over to new york in the 1910s, and they were involved in some of the mob stuff. someone in my family is related to a dude named harry teitelbaum, who worked under bugsy siegel, aka the fuckin man. i met that side of the family once, they're very wealthy & no one knows why or how they made their fortune. it's p fuckin cool.

so as far as i know, my great grandpa stayed outta trouble, but his cousin (who's actually a relatively famous old actor, john garfield! p cool) who he grew up with got into some stuff. according to his wikipedia, "He would later say of his time on the streets there, that he learned 'all the meanness, all the toughness it's possible for kids to acquire.' ... [in the west bronx he] joined a series of gangs. Much later, he would recall: 'Every street had its own gang. That's the way it was in poor sections... the old safety in numbers." He soon became a gang leader."

-main plot will probably revolve around tensions between the italians & jews, maybeee the irish if they're tryna get in on it. maybe over land in vegas, if that's gonna be a thing? maybe they're all founding rival casinos. i know the flamingo was founded by siegel, and moe dalitz was the uhhhhh desert inn i think? both jewish...hm...ok im doin some searchin & i found: "By 1948, the Strip contained several casinos, including the El Rancho, Last Frontier, Fabulous Flamingo, and Thunderbird (later renamed Silverbird)." so when i get around to it, ill look into the origins of all those & find who they were founded by. surely the italians singlehandedly managed some of them. vegas being completely built by jewish criminals is fun but a little too stereotypical for my taste hahah, dont want antisemites to get a hold of that. cartman would have a field day w that, psh.

ok like i said, an issue is, do i rewrite history in this au? or do i insert the sp characters into history? do i wanna write fanfic about actual mobsters, so it's more historical nonfiction fiction with some "ocs", or just pretend they didn't exist? i think in the end ill have to completely change things to fit the needs of the plot. which isn't firmly established yet, so that's ok. shit, i might have to make a whole ass mythos abt this shit. fucken lore. oh boy.

i wanna so bad! i find organized crime fascinating, & i’m also a big movie nerd, with crime films being my fav genre, so im super into that sorta thing. definitely would love to see it, but o boy, maybe ill jus write it myself?? gotta do everythin myself haha

i’d def go the historical route, so it’d be interesting to try to both apply characters that are firmly rooted in 90s/2000s behaviors & beliefs, and stick them in the 1900s. oh, boy, writing historical stuff is a pain. so much research. worth it tho, if it’s done well. aye, and it’ll be cool to try to keep it as nonfictional as possible. like, attempting to insert the kids (as adults, obvs) into crime history. i wonder if i could do tht? it’d be fun. it’s definitely uncharted waters. there’s a lot of potential there.

but, hmm, i think mafia aus are so rare in fandom (not just the sp fandom, but across the board) bc they contradict everything that’s popular in fanfic. mob aus would feature violence, business, finances, and corruption. whereas fics prefer cuddles, leisure time, a world where money aint an issue, and wholesomeness. and considering the majority of fic is written by horny and/or love-starved teenage girls who dont know or care about the aforementioned subjects, it makes sense. kinda a bummer, but understandable. in the defense of like everyone, lmao, those sorta fics take a lot of planning, & aint nobody got time. so i get it.

oof i think a major thing too is how gay-centric fic/fandom is, when the mobster world is undeniably a heterosexual one. thats an issue. shit, i wonder how many gay characters i could get away with while keeping it realistic. i mean, im sure there were gay mobsters, in fact i’ve read about a couple, but the lifestyles did not go hand in hand, lol.

kyle would get wrapped up in the jewish mob (which existed, and which i’d personally l o v e to be a part of lol - if i was born 100 years ago), maybe while trying to protect ike from getting involved? that’d be cool. maybe he’d demonstrate his brains & be offered a job as an accountant or an attorney, and he’d be forced to comply, either bc 1) his fam was threatened if he declined, or 2) his fam was doing bad financially & needed it. maybe both. hell, maybe he avoids the jewish mob & gets involved with the others. MAYBE IKE IS THE ONE IN THE JEWISH MOB & WANTS HIS BROTHER BACK FROM THE ITALIANS. OOOOOOOOO also they’d be from brooklyn, likely, bc that’s where jews were primarily located back then. u kno there was 400k jews in new york in 1899?? including my great great great grandparents. that’s a shit ton of jews lol. lil fun fact for ya. 

wait ok so oof this is hard now, bc the mob was primarily divided into three chunks - the italians, the jews, & the irishmen. there was also the puerto ricans, but that was, like, a different division. i’m mentioning this because nationality was important to mobsters, to all organized crimes groups actually, but south park doesn’t make a habit of mentioning what countries each character’s ancestors came from, lol. so it’d be a lot of writer interpretation. and that’s cool and all, but doesn’t give me much to work with, considering most of the kids are white and likely german/england-descended. 

i could make kenny & butters irish. that’d work. i think kenny’s last names irish, actually. they could be from hell’s kitchen, which had a p hefty irish-american population. maybe i could make stan irish, too. wendy might be able to pass for italian (little italy manhattan??? maybe the bronx??? im tryna think geography lol. for scale.). that’d work, if i wanted to put some stendy in there, bc i love making stan the token het guy, haha. maybe wendys dad marries her off to stan to form an alliance between the italians & irish. that’d be interesting. maybe cartman was rallying to get wendy to marry him, bc he needed to marry someone bc of, like, societal expectations, & she was the only girl who caught his interest. maybe he declares war on stan, to win back the bride he wants. maybe kyles best friends w stan, tht happened somehow, & interjects. goes to meet cartman to discuss a way out - ohhhhh theres my kyman babay!!! oooooo!!!

omg. plot forming. this is def an interesting concept. maybe i can use it as a chance to write a plot-oriented fic that doesn’t rely heavily on ships. that’d be awesome. i’ve wanted to do that for ages.

maybe we can squeeze christophe in as a french immigrant, maybe an associate of someone. same with gregory, but, like, british. that’d be fun. craig & tweek can be somewhere in there, too. associates of cartman or something. maybe they own a brothel. oooh. who else. bebe! maybe she can be a cabaret dancer who someone falls for. nothin wrong w hetero nonsense if it’s done right & if it aint nonsense. yah? maybe she can be ken’s love interest. also maybe token & nichole can be in there somewhere, from harlem?

this sounds fun as fuck, though, def. im really obsessed with new york right now, so maybe writing this could be a love letter to its history. that’d be dope. ooh, and im from las vegas actually, born & raised, so maybe i could do a chapter set there, considering the mob was very influential in the strip’s development. that’d be rad. holy heck. im excited abt this now. gotta finish oboitd asap & get into this, haha.

If there is one thing you should know about me (other than what’s in my pinned post of course), it’s that I’m lazy. I finished this in December to prepare for when I post it on January 1st, and I only posted it to DeviantArt that day. And I could say it’s because I was busy and didn’t have the time to post it here, or I got distracted, but the truth is I was too lazy to post the same drawing twice on two difference websites, because I didn’t wanna say the same things again, even though all the buttons I need to do that are CTRL+C and CTRL+V. There’s even something else I’ll have to post later that I finished a while before December, and the same problem implies to that too.

Long story short: This would’ve been my way of wishing you all on Tumblr a happy new year if I wasn’t lazy.

But yeah, main sona update. It’s only small changes, but there isn’t a lot I wanted changed to begin with. Mostly her reference sheet needed updated.

I’m a bit late, but I drew her! Finally. How long ago did I say I would? Yeah, it was a while ago, but I did it and I suppose that’s all that matters.

I would’ve drawn her listening to music (specifically rock music, because I guess she likes that genre according to that one episode, and it’s also my favorite genre), and I said I would in one post, but since I already drew Arnold doing basically the same thing, I’ll save that for later. She deserves to rock out, it just won’t be today.

Also she isn’t reading a specific book, it’s basically up to you what she’s reading. 

I also said that once I drew Helga on her own that I’d tell you why she and Arnold are tied as my favorite characters from HA!, so I shall do that now. Helga’s up there because she kind of reminds me of myself personality-wise. I’m not openly mean to anyone I meet, and I don’t think I would be to my crush either, but other than that, I relate to her in some ways. . . One of them isn’t her past though, just so that part’s clear. I don’t have nearly as dark or sad of a backstory as she does. But she’s the one in the show I relate to the most.

Also I apparently really like the jerky characters in media (whether they’re villains or not depends on the character), so I guess it’s no surprise I’d favor her.

As for Arnold, he reminds me of my old best friend (which sounds weird based on everything I said before. I swear I didn’t like them like that lol). In a nutshell, it feels right calling them my old best friend, because they were a real best friend. Which made me feel conflicted when I was watching all of HA! back in October last year, and Arnold made me think of them a lot. We stopped being friends at that point, so it gave me a bittersweet feeling anytime he’d say something I felt like my old friend would say to me. Like I watch TV to get away from real life for a moment, and this little shit keeps reminding me of someone who I don’t talk to anymore. I can’t be too mad about that though. In some way, it almost feels like my old friend is still there . . . in the form of a cartoon football-headed kid. 

Also Arnold looks flippin’ adorable to me. . . I have not seen anyone say that before, so I dunno how I feel admitting to that.
