The Expert of Changing Jobs / Tenshoku no Mao-sama (Ep 7)

A disgruntled employee quits her job after she had a burnout from covering others on maternity leave, to the point that she's unable to marry and start her own family, leading her to think how others would suffer covering for her in the future when she herself has children.

The breaking point came when those on maternity leaves made the headlines for working mothers who are able to juggle work and family, when in reality, unmarried staffs like her have to bear the burden, sacrificing their own relationships and hope for marriage.

While the company is doing everything it can to support the employees with children, the company neglects those that do not. Reminds me of a company that I quit. It's not a Japanese company or in Japan, it's something most Asian companies are struggling with.

Happy birthday, Midori Mizuno!

Today in Japan, December 5th, is Midori Mizuno’s birthday! Currently unvoiced, Midori is a 18 year old from Aichi. Refined and calm, Midori is a national archery champion, her archery aspect often being played up as her big, main, non-idol trait. She’s seemingly lived a rather sheltered life, as she didn’t know about alcoholic drinks and the effects they would have on the older idols who drank them.

Midori, of course, enjoys Japanese archery. She’s been known to shatter target boards with her shots, and takes it very seriously with any games involving hitting a bullseye or aiming at a target. Midori is very earnest and beautiful, but despite her appearance being that of a traditional, smart Japanese idol, Midori is actually a complete airhead. She often gets caught up in fun and also enjoys playing darts. Midori is also quite popular in her school’s archery club.

Some units Midori is in include Brilliant Noir (ブリヤントノワール) with Chiaki Kurokawa, Ponytail Girl Alliance (ポニーテール乙女同盟) with Nagisa Aino, Noriko Shiina, Yuko Hori, and Tomoka Wakabayashi, Wonder Rouge (ワンダー・ルージュ) with Reiko Takahashi, Honami Nishikawa, Shino Hiiragi, and Kiyora Yanagi, and Star Arrows (スターアローズ) with Yao Fueifuei and Mary Cochran. To celebrate Midori’s birthday, maybe play some darts or even, if you can, try some archery! Happy birthday Midori!
