I have a theory about why Krist is doing BL again. It's not news to anyone who's been following BLs for a long time what kind of person he is, some have accepted his apology and some haven't and it's okay, no one is obligated to anything. I personally can't feel comfortable consuming content from a person who made jokes about rape (Singto, I haven't forgotten about you either).

But back to the starting point, I think it's important to point out that before GMMTV 2022 event there were already some rumors circulating among Thai fans that an actor was missing doing BLs, no one knew who he was and of course when it was announced everyone realized who it was that person.

There are a few things I need to reiterate before speaking my theory, so bear with me.

1. No, Krist is not broke. I've seen this meme a lot and I confess I think it's hilarious, but to be honest, Krist is one of the highest paid actors on GMMTV and this year he's starred in several projects and next year he's also going to be in several.

2. I think everyone knows but this year Singto broke his contract with GMMTV, even though SingtoKrist advertise various products together, official GMMTV events related to SingtoKrist will become more and more difficult. Fan meetins, concerts and even participate in shows together (this is one of the reasons why we don't see TayNew together very often as New doesn't have an exclusive contract with GMMTV).

With Singto leaving and the probable break he will take to study abroad, the ship will lose support. It's normal. GMMTV ships are products, they need to be in constant motion for them to be profitable, that's why ships that didn't have or have a significant return don't gain space. Chimon and Pluem is an example. Mike and Toptap is another example of a ship that GMMTV was trying to sell, so whenever they had an opportunity they would put them on the show in order to build a fanbase, but there was a fight and the ship was torn apart. Of course a fanbase the size of SingtoKrist isn't going to die overnight, shippers have a tendency to be quite loyal, but both Singto and Krist have gone their own way. Singto in particular continued in the BL business, where other ships with him began to appear. And being honest since the last situations with them, I believe that in general they have lost some of the fanbase support and to be honest, in some Asian countries fanbase counts a lot.

In the West we don't have official fanbase accounts for actors, events organized to meet fans, this is practically very common in some countries in Asia (I won't say the whole continent because I don't consume content from all countries). Without Singto on GMMTV and the fanbase getting lost, this is the time to introduce a new ship - which by the way, they were already giving some hints at the Safe House and nobody noticed because nobody thought MikeKrist could happen.

To sum up all my hype, Krist back to BLs is a marketing ploy. They just want to sell. Pink money. Capitalism.
