Koyla movie review...

It's a 1997 bollywood movie

I saw this movie today and what a gem it was. It was declared a flop then but dude it was a good movie for that time.

The story has a lot of conspiracy theories, good twists, nice characters, intelligent hero and villain and had good comedy too.

The male lead Shankar is a mute person, who was unable to talk but finally at the end takes the revenge of his family's death from the villains. In between this process he meets the female lead, Gauri who was tricked and trapped into an unhappy marriage by the same villain. Both of them care for eachother and fall in love with eachother as well.

The story was executed well with few twists in the end. The title is justified once you see the climax and the reason why Shankar became a mute person.

Just picked this one up on DVD...definitely worth a watch.

Don't think I've seen another film where SRK gets beaten up so much.
