In 2010, I watched this movie called Kotha Bangaru Lokam. In that @prakashraaj while talking about his son, who he feels is slipping away, says "should I scold him? Should I beat him? That's something I don't know... But I know only one thing. To love. I will do that even now. I'll love him even more now. He might understand me then."

This line has stuck with me for years now. I didn't know why. I was a kid back then. I definitely couldn't understand what it all meant. But I knew something was something different. It's unimaginable for us Indian kids. To do something wrong and not get proper shakedown. If nothing, we would get shouted at for straight one hour atleast. Maybe I remembered this line all that time because it was an approach I could have never imagined my parents or any parent I knew using. To not scold or shout at your kid?? When they have done something wrong?? Impossible.

But when I grew up I realised how wonderful and true this approach is. For all relationships. I loved everyone who left me. I loved them even more when they were leaving me. I gave them all. They were slipping away. I didn't try and grab them. I gave them a longer rope to hold on to me.

Some did. Many didn't. But I knew I gave them all I had. All my love, all my heart. They still left. They left after I did all I could. They will leave me even if I do all I can. Even if I do more. Many will leave me. I don't care. I care about you. Why will you leave? Why?

I loved them all. I love them all. I love you. Please don't go. I will love you even more.
