Women’s performance can sometimes be a bit of a hot topic bc technically the scene isn’t designed for cis women but they have always been there and participating in the scene (it’s one of my fav categories to watch now) - Inxi and Axou are amazing and represent Europe rlly well

Also channels like Ballroom Throwbacks, Paris Ballroom TV, Kendrick Mugler, Open To All, and other ones for the different European scenes (bc they are the ones I’ve been getting into more as they are closer to me 🤪) document whole balls - I rlly recommend watching a lot of the old Vogue Nights clips bc they r rlly good as well

A lot of learning about the scene is trying to get as immersed in it as possible just because it is so underground so it’s hard to find like a ballroom manual as it were there are so many other names that I haven’t mentioned here that are Legends and Icons 🥰🥰🥰

Ok so I’ve been getting into ballroom more seriously over the past like year (not officially but like brushing up on history) and there are some uncanny similarities between vogue fem and rhythmic gymnastics - they both uphold femininity in a way that many other art forms and styles don’t.
