The story of superheroes in the age of individualism
The author of the world film hit “Complete Strangers” reveals that the leitmotif of his new achievement is a view of how time affects partnerships, whether it destroys or strengthens them. Want to record a love story, Italian director Paolo Genovese he resisted, aware that it would be “the millionth love story in a row.” However, obsessed with time, abstract, relative and extremely subjective concept, Genovese decided to connect the two and start a new film, which he presented as part of the 50th Fest during his visit to Belgrade, reports the portal for culture of Southeast Europe Seecult.org.The film “Superheroes”, the author of the world hit “Complete Strangers” (Perfetti sconosciuti) from 2016, was presented at a press conference during the 50th Fest and revealed that it is a story of love, transience and relativity of time and pointed out that are “in today’s age of individualism, superheroes are couples who stay together.” “After the pandemic, everything has a completely different meaning than before, even in the world of film and art. My film is about time, about the very existence of time, about the passage, end or end of time. Time was the most important element at the time of the pandemic. In fact, kovid-19 took our time, and on the other hand – we were given time to deal with some new things that we are not used to, “said Genovese at a press conference in Kombank Hall, reports Seecult. He is personally obsessed with the passing of time, and who among us is not – it was a rhetorical question asked by Genovese. In addition, for many years he wanted to make a love film, but he admits that he also wondered “why to make the millionth love story in a row, when it is the most used topic in world cinema”. And then he decided to combine his two obsessions – time and love. “I decided to combine that idea of time with a love story that takes place from the point of view of the passing of time.

2019 is behind us, and there have been many, many beautiful concerts, but there are those who have stood out in the crowd. We decided to single out for you, this time, those prepared by regional bands in concert venues in Serbia. Some stood out for their quality, some for the incredible atmosphere in the audience, and some for the reason they were held.
Take a look at the list of the top 10 regional bands in Serbia in 2019 and write us in a comment your favorites that you think we should have included on the list.

Autopark – Electropioneer
To watch Ognjenko Lakicevic singing with the same, if not greater fervor, as if all this was happening in the band's discography, was simply invaluable. It would be very hypocritical not to mention a perfectly played band and Srdjan Popova (Sergio Lounge) on bass and backing vocals without which any future incarnations of this band would be hard to imagine. Oil's honesty in voice, through the musical arrangements for which the rest of the Serbian scene has been delayed for years, gives a unique feeling. It is indeed worth praising the incredible rawness that no local author has on stage and it is a shame if Autopark fails again, as this really misses us. Read more …
The Strange – Belgrade Youth Center
This figure eight looks like dads from American teen movies having rehearsals in the garage, except that The Strange far more striking and have the gift of bringing the whole room with them to their tunes and harmonies. Their sound is warm and relaxed and reminiscent of California surfers and old movies. And just the name of the song “Nights of Forgotten Films ” it briefly reflects the spirit and character of their music, which would fit perfectly into an older Bond film. In an audience of people of different ages and looks, it seemed as if they happened to be there, like people who happen to be in the street or station until the music starts, when they all come together in a swinging homogeneous whole. Read more …
Eyesburn – Ranko Zeravica Sports Hall
The silence is enormous, but tight because everyone rushed into it, the fence separating the stage from the fanpit was swung by the fans so that the needle could not be pulled through. It was really hard not to collide with the people around you because everyone, without any control, was steadily jumping from start to finish of the hardest tracks of the band. “War control“,”Sun.“,”Agony” and of course “Full Control“. We were glad to be able to see these guys again on stage and hope that this was not only a marketing ploy, but that in the near future we would hear this or even better performance from them again, and it would be nice for some album to be we welcome. Read more …
Gentle Dalibor – Knap
What makes their gig quality? Under one, it does not come down to mere agility. Ivica, Ljuba, Davor and Dragan apparently approach the gigs as hedonists. Given that this is a band with perhaps the most expressive playing on the domestic (maybe regional?) Stage, without this factor, their concerts would be pale. Fortunately, the fullness and richness of their live album instruments becomes even more intense and there is no mention of any fading. This band's concerts, even if they are small gigs, are still great concerts. There is something big and worldly about it, no matter how small the space is and the knap. Read more …
Nikola Vranjkovic – Kombank hall
“You'll have to learn to live with it“,”SDSS“And”A day that never came”They aggressively hammered this performance, which lasted over 3 hours. Still, it was not enough for the musicians and the audience. The on-stage crew continued each of the songs with additional music playing, while the audience followed each one, applauding “infinitely” for a long time. In the end, the whole hall was on its feet and greeted the musicians who, together, with Nicole at the helm, heroically pushed out this marathon performance. They provided attendees with a holiday before all the holidays, a gift before January 1 and 3 hours of musical hypnosis and enjoying the concert after which we all just have to wait eagerly for next December and a new voyage with Nikola Vranjkovic's band. Read more …
November – Feedback
Nis punk rock band November held her last concert in her native Nis on April 5th. A year and a half after the death of the frontman Goran Kostic Kosta, the band members decided to honor him in a farewell tour in the country and region and also to promote a new album called “November“. In addition to new songs, the repertoire also featured many old hits such as “I'm traveling alone“,”Deguelo“,”Road without return“,”Watch love die“,”So young and so clean“,”Tell me“. The atmosphere was great. The audience sang with the musicians all the time, and the culmination came when Radule sang the song Atheist rap “Atheist rap 2“.
After twenty-eight years of existence, the band is “so young and so clean”, from the place where it all began, went down in history. Read more …
Laibach – Kombank hall
After a Laibach performance, you feel like you were at a protest, a theater play, an environmental or anti-war rally, a movie theater and a music concert, and you will be overwhelmed by anger, sadness, disappointment, excitement, fear, concern and who knows what other emotions . As they say in the song “Americana“:
If you wanna change the world You better do it with a thrill Cos' if you don't – no one else will
Do it with a feeling You got it to do it with a feeling
Thank them for restoring our power to feel and at least move things a little! Read more …
Bernays Propaganda – CK13
Novi Sad Club CK13 was the scene of a fantastic performance that the Macedonian band prepared for us Bernays Propaganda. From the start, the dancing crowd did not cease to moan for the entire 150 minutes the gig lasted. About a hundred visitors after surviving a music tornado searched for their hips, legs and arms scattered around the hall. How are these musicians engaged in other bands like Xaxaxa, My Tear, 21st Century, and even Vasko solo, the setlist consisted of the greatest hits of all these bands. A two-and-a-half-hour best-concert? Okay, we don't mind. Read more …
Moussaka – Museum of Yugoslavia
Moussaka, created as a one-off creative project by the two, gained its audience very quickly, which inevitably made it a full-blooded band. This foursome holds all the keys in his hands, is able to smash even the biggest grudges, and a few of the little ones, along with the band on the makeshift stage, sniffed at their surf. All this is essentially music itself without any text, but it leaves such music without text, since there are no words that can describe such fascination with the beauty of sound that bursts directly from the amplifier and brings it into a state of ecstasy. In short – it's Moussaka! Read more …
Danilo's experience of Vienna – Banovina
After 11 years of concert and 5 years of studio abstinence, the famous Nis band Danil's Experience of Vienna held a comeback concert to remember in the full courtyard of the University building (popular Banovina). It was difficult to determine who would prefer to see the other side again after 11 years – them or us. Read more …
Bonus: There. – Feedback
There. has dangerously sharpened his sound and shied away from a bunch of post-rock phrases. It would say that what people could hear in Feedback actually found the identity of this band, that sound they were striving to find. The gig itself was almost flawless. Each beat of the drums built a powerful and dynamic groove with the bass guitar, while the guitar made a great deal of noise and together with the piano, created extraordinary harmonies and striking melodies. With this concert, the band presented all their skills, work, effort and creativity and it is a great pity that more, especially interested people, were not present at this performance to witness it.
