Meet the Artist: @erysium

Hello, I’m Sarah! I’m a cartoonist, illustrator, and vis-dev artist from Alaska. I’m currently in LA working in tv animation, and drawing the last chapter of my sapphic, fairytale-inspired webcomic Kochab! I make art inspired by folklore, the otherworldly and odd within nature and everyday life, and fantasy/slice-of-life stories.

The bright blue star at the upper right is Pherkad (/fɜrkæd/, γ Ursae Minoris), a blue giant approximately 500 lightyears away.

The orange star at the bottom left is θ Ursae Minoris, a red giant approximately 860 lightyears away, and a suspected binary system.

The blue star at the bottom left is ζ Ursae Minoris, a blue dwarf approximately 370 lightyears away, and also a pulsating variable star.

The blue-white star at the bottom (under the Instagram handle) is η Ursae Minoris, a dwarf star about 100 lightyears away.
