Specifically thinking about long distance relationships today.
So tell me how you and your f/o would first meet online?
#I feel like Bakugou and I would meet in one of those online games he’s downloaded to mindlessly waste time between shifts#and he’s so foul at first because he thinks I’m weak but we play and he realises that I’m#actually whooping everyone and he’s like well damn okay#and now he’s messaging in the alliance chat and like getting excited when I’m online even tho he tries to hide it#and gets annoyed when other creeps in his alliance try to flirt with me#and then he’s asking for my discord#me and Sanemi get into a fight on discord the first time we interact#in some stupid big server I only joined for the emojis#but he’s a jerk so I tell him to shut up and a message later I find a msg notification and it’s him trying to continue the conversation😭#enjin slides into my dms on Instagram#he finds my post at a concert and hates the fuckboys that are commenting below#ends up messaging me to see if I’m okay but then immediately worries he’s one of those guys#Tamsy I feel like is that mutual I’ve had forever on twt and we like each others posts but we’ve NEVER talked to each other??#it’s not until I’m feeling sad at 2am and I post something self-deprecating that he drops me a msg🥺#and we end up staying up until 5am just talking to each other#Kirishima is ALWAYS the guy that responds to my ‘morning’ with a morning back! every day without fail#and I slide into his DMs one day and ask how he’s ALWAYS awake when I am??? like to say it back so quick#and he admits he’s kinda learned my schedule and he tries to be online for it because it’s one of the best parts of his day#and he likes saying it back😭😭😭 even if he’s off from a night shift and needs sleep he can’t without seeing me msg#Shindou blatantly flirts with me in a gaming discord and I think he’s an incel so I block him#he gets a friend to ping me to beg me to unblock him and I refuse#the friend then sends another message with a screenshot of Shindou basically begging me to unblock him😭#Dot and I meet in one of those AITA Reddit threads#and we end up borderline arguing over whether op is TA#so much that we get told to take it elsewhere😭😭😭#enjo#bakujo#eijo#but also catch me sending Dynamight sassy banter on his official socials😭😂

I really want to thank @batsybeanies so much for helping me with this fic! They helped me edit it and helped me when I got stumped so thank you so much I really appreciate you!
Please enjoy 😊
Bakugo was someone I never really thought I'd fall in love with, in fact I never really thought of it at all. With trying to be a pro-hero and all it just never really seemed possible to have a romantic life, but unfortunately my heart had other plans. It didn't come easy to accept at first, but now it is starting to have its appeal.
Now, of course, being in class 1-A meant everyone knew everything there was to know about your crush on the overly loud blonde. It didn't come as a surprise when everyone knew but him. Now telling him of said feelings was way harder than it sounded, most people would just be blunt about a topic as serious as such. Anyone who knew Bakugo knew he wasn't approachable.
Bakugo always made it known he wasn't afraid to blow someone away if they even attempted to talk to. It didn't matter what the topic was about. He never talked about having a love interest, and he definitely made it overly known how much he hated valentines day. So of course knowing all of that anyone in their right mind wouldn't even try to attempt making a move on him right??
Well, I guess I'm out of my mind because that's what I planned on doing. I just didn't know when, I tried several times to confess to him in person, but once his crimson red eyes burned into mine, I chickened out every time. After all, I didn't want to get blown across the school, cafeteria, or the park. Today was no different from any other failed attempt, but this time I didn't think I could face him anymore.
It was early in the morning, and I was walking down the hallways of UA. Bakugou was at his locker, Kirishima was talking to Bakugou while he propped himself against the locker grunting in response. I wouldn't say I was a member of the Baku-Squad officially, but I was pretty good friends with a few members outside of the blonde. I took a deep breath and walked up to both of them giving them a warm smile.
"Good morning boys, how are you both doing this morning?"
Kirishima parted his lips before Bakugou quickly cut him off.
"What the hell are you so cheery for? It's Monday, eight thirty in the morning. Why the hell are you two extras bothering me?"
I rolled my eyes at his response, and huffed dramatically, putting my hand on my hip. I flipped my hair over my shoulder before quickly responding to him.
"I'm so cheery because I get to see all my wonderful classmates, and I'm bothering you because it's fun."
Bakugou didn't seem to like my response to him; however, he let out a low growl before he narrowed his eyes at me. For a moment I was intimated, but like I said for a moment. His fist clenched tightly, and I softly smirked at him before making it disappear.
"Ttch I don't know what's so damn wonderful about them, and it's gonna be fun when I blow your ass into bits for purposely messing with me."
This time I let out a giggle at his response, I softly put my hand on my chest, and quickly faked a cough as I tried to regain my composure. He was too cute when he got all worked up, but I wouldn't tell him that not in front of Kirishima anyway instead I decided to pout playfully at him.
"Awe you know you love me Bakugou, besides if I were you I'd appreciate my presence. What other girl is going to willingly walk up and talk to you, hmm?"
As soon as I finished my sentence Bakugou made sure to quickly follow back with a response. Kirishima was watching our interaction with a small smile on his face, he knew about my crush on his best friend. At first I refused to talk to him about it in fear that he would tell the hot-headed boy, but after pinky promises and reassurances I ended up caving and telling the hardening hero.
If Kirishima didn't like me before he sure did after my confession to him, I knew he was happy that someone had finally taken a liking to his pal king murder explosion. The red head looked at me with wide eyes before he looked back at Bakugou. His eye twitched in annoyance as he stared me down, he pushed himself off the locker making the distance between us go from a foot or two to mere inches.
He puffed his chest out and stepped into my personal space. The sudden closeness made me blush softly, my fingers started instinctively playing with the bottom hem of my shirt. My eyes looked at the floor as his breath brushed lightly against my forehead, I've really done it this time. Since I've known the ash blonde, he's never stood this close to me; my eyes dance across his covered chest softly.
"How obscure! Love is for the weak, and I'm nowhere near weak! Dont tell me what I need to appreciate, and I couldn't give a shot if girls talked to me or not. That just makes another sappy extra like you getting in my way."
My stomach knotted up at his words, and my smile slowly faltered. I swallowed thickly, my eyes making direct contact with his red ones. My eyes tingled softly at his words indicating that tears were pooling in them. I took in a deep breath, feeling my heart pound in my ears. His scent filled my nostrils, but his words echoed in my mind. My lips parted, and my nails dug into my thigh tightly.
"Yeah, I might be an extra to you Bakugou, but at least I'm not a coward and use anger as a crutch to hide my true emotions."
Kirishima gasped softly at my response, his eyes softened when he looked at me. Bakugou opened and closed his mouth like a fish out of water, he blinked softly as he looked me up and down. His breath became less aggressive, but confusion etched its way on his face.
"Weird face what do yo-"
"Don't worry about it Bakugou. I'll see you at lunch, Kirishima."
Kirishima looked at me with sympathy, but before either of them could respond I walked away quickly. Bakugou looked to Kirishima, but he just shrugged his shoulders not wanting to reveal his friend's secret to her crush. He just put his hands up, and before Bakugou could ask him what was wrong with me the bell for homeroom rang. They both brushed it off before making their way to their homeroom class.
When I turned away from the boys I sighed heavily, my want of confessing to Bakugou slightly went away. Maybe I was being overly sensitive, but I couldn't help it in my mind he just made it overly clear he didn't need anyone. He didn't care about my feelings, nor would he ever so what's the point? Why should I put myself out there when I'm just gonna get called hurtful names?
'What did he experience in life that made him that way? Why did he have to be so dismissive? Why did he always have to act like he doesn't care? Did he really not need anyone but himself?' I quickly shook my head clearing my thoughts as I walked Into homeroom, I felt two pairs of eyes on me almost the whole time in the homeroom. Instinctively I wanted to look towards the two pairs of eyes looking at me, but I shook my head clearing my mind to focus on the day ahead of me.
The school day seemed to rush by quickly, and I avoided Bakugou at all costs. When lunch time came around, I made sure to not sit at the table with the Baku-Squad, when Kirishima sat In Front of me I arched my eyebrow. I was surprised he sat away from everyone he knew, but I didn't let his presence shake me. I continued to pick at the food on the tray.
"Y/N are you okay?"
My eyes drifted from my food tray to Kirishima, and back down to the tray on top of the grey table. When they made eye contact, she nodded her head softly, he didn't look convinced but started eating his lunch. I ate the pasta on my tray, and I watched him through my eyelashes. It usually wasn't this awkward with Kirishima, I found it very easy to talk to him. He was honest, and he was very open no matter the situation.
I shrugged softly, looking up at him sighing loudly. I tossed the plastic fork in my hand on the tray dramatically; I tucked some hair behind my ear a bit too aggressively.
"I'm fine Kirishima, I just don't understand why Bakugou always has to be like that. Will it kill him to be pleasant just once?"
Kirishima let out a breathy laugh, but put his hands up in defense.
"Well, you know how Bakugou is, he's just rough around the edges. He li- ca- enjoys you being around trust me." Kirishima smiled widely at me when he stumbled over his words. He rubbed the back of his neck softly and looked away from me for a second.
I arched my eyebrow at the sudden shift in his behavior, but decided not to question it. I let out a defeated sigh, and deflated in the seat I sat in whining under my breath.
"Yeah well he sure doesn't act like it, his mood seems to worsen when I come around. You and him can hold a conversation for a while, but when I come around everything just explodes."
Kirishima went to speak, but got cut off by a familiar gruff voice. My eyes widened hearing it two seats away from me.
"Oi, why are you damn extras sitting alone? Are you on some kinda date?"
My face dropped into an annoyed scowl, I turned towards the said voice. Bakugou was looking directly at Kirishima, when I turned my head to look towards the red haired boy he was blushing softly. He let out a soft laugh at Bakugou's assumptions before responding.
"Come on Bakubro! You know we aren't on a date."
It was my turn to cut Mister boom boom off, I let out a scoff shifting my body towards him. My eyes narrowed as I spoke with a venomous tone.
"Even if we were on a date, what's it to you? You always say how much I annoy you so why would you care?"
Bakugou opened and closed his mouth once again, and I shook my head, grabbing my tray as I stood up from the table. I looked at Kirishima and smiled softly at him as he just sat there speechless. My eyes looked over Bakugou before turning my attention to Kirishima, I smiled softly at him before turning around.
"It was nice talking to you Kirishima, talk to you later."
Before either boy could say anything I put my tray up, and walked out the cafeteria. I felt eyes on me until the door shut. Bakugo turned towards Kirishima and started eating his food.
***
Kirishima's POV
"The hell is that dumbasses' problem?"
I looked up at my hot-headed friend, and just stared In disbelief. I ate my food with a knowing look, and just shook my head softly.
"Hello? Airhead don't you hear me? She's stormed off, and now you're giving me the silent treatment. The fucks up with you two?"
I couldn't let this go on any longer, in fact if I do I don't think Bakugou will have a chance with her at all. I blinked at him in shock, and I tsked him under my breath. I took a deep breath, and let it out hoping this wouldn't end badly.
"Bakubro I think you're a little too harsh on Y/L/N. I know you like her, but it's not coming off that way. In fact, it's the total opposite. I think she thinks you don't like her at all."
Bakugou quickly looked around and leaned over the table softly. He whispered softly at me before he grew silent, and his cheeks flushed lightly. Before I could call him out in it he cut me off, hissing softly as spoke wildly.
"Don't go around blurting my business, big mouth, of course I like Y/L/N. Her stupid face just annoys me, and I get all nervous. I can't help that."
"then act nervous, not like you hate her guts! She- she's not getting that you like her at all. You're just making this harder on yourself. You have to remember some people are sensitive, and need to be treated tenderly like a small panda stranded in the wild especially if you like them."
3rd POV
Bakugou grunted in response, not wanting to admit his friend was right. He knew he was, he just didn't want to admit it. He knew what he had to do, it was time for him to stop being stubborn. He had to admit his feelings to Y/N, he finally had to tell her how much he wanted her in his life. He decided he would do it after school when you both were walking home.
The bell signaling it was time to head back to class pulled the blond and redhead from the conversation.They both put their tray up, and made their way back to class. As soon as Bakugou walked through the classroom of 1A, he stopped in his tracks looking at his desk. A folded piece of paper was sitting on top of his desk, he cooked his eyebrow as he eyed the note wondering who the hell put something on his desk.
Bakugou’s POV
"What the hell? Who put that on my desk?"
I mumbled under my breath and made my way to my desk. When I got to it I slid into the seat and stared at the small neatly folded squared paper. I decided to finally pick the paper up, and I started to unfold the paper. Once I unfolded it my eyes widened. I recognized the penmanship immediately, my heart started beating faster, as my eyes scanned the beginning of the letter.
Dear, Bakugou
I know you're probably wondering who left a note on your desk, and you're probably wondering why. Well here it goes, I've been meaning to tell you something for a while, but never really knew how to say it. I know you probably don't like me due to how you react to me, but Bakugou Katsuki I think I'm in love with you. I didn't mean for it to happen, and I know you aren't the fondest of the whole Love thing, but if you gave it a shot, I promise I wouldn't let you down. You’re number one in everything, and I'd love it if you were my number one officially. So if you didn't hate the idea too much would you like to call me yours? Only if you wanted of course.
P.S. don't blow me up after reading this
With Love Y/L/N, Y/N
My cheeks flushed as I finished reading the letter, I quickly put it face down on top of my desk. I turned my head towards Y/N’s desk, and she was facing the whiteboard. My heart was pounding in my ears, but I smirked softly at her. I quickly folded the piece of paper into how it originally was before putting it in my pocket, returning back to my schoolwork. I definitely had to talk to Y/N now, I couldn't leave her hanging.
3rd POV
Since Y/N placed the confession she wrote on Bakugou's desk she couldn't stop thinking about it, her stomach was in knots for the rest of the day. She avoided him the best she couldn't until she finally couldn't. Hearing his voice call after her made her stop in the tracks, she turned to face him in the middle of the hallway. She sighed softly to herself, when she saw him walk faster to catch up to her; her heart skipped a beat when he finally reached her she turned back towards the doors.
She walked slowly with him by her side; they didn't say a word. The silence was getting to her, did he read her letter? How did he feel about it? Why did he wanna walk home with her? His voice pulled her out of her thoughts.
"We need to talk Y/N."
She turned her head and smiled at him nervously. She nodded her head, then looked ahead, continuing the way she was walking. Her eyes stayed looking ahead not wanting to look at the red-eyed beauty beside her.
"Okay Bakugou, I don't mind talking to you. What's up?"
He looked around the hall noticing the eyes looking at them both, he ‘ttched’ then stuffed his hands in his pockets grumbling softly. Not at you, but the lingering gazes.
"Not here, wait until we get out of this damn nosy school."
Y/N looked around casually and noticed the lingering gazes and hushed whispers. She snapped her eyes forward and grinned slyly. They were pretty nosy weren't they? Probably wondering what such a brash guy was doing walking with a soft social butterfly. Once they reached the school doors Bakugou quickly opened the door for her, she froze at his gesture, and her heart swelled with adoration.
"Are you gonna walk through, dummy, or just stand there like a deer in headlights?"
She quickly regained her composure, she blushed furiously at his statement. She quickly nodded her head and walked out the door she sighed happily feeling the sun dance on her skin. Bakugou quickly followed her and was once again by her side. They exited UA's schoolyard, and started walking down the sidewalk to their homes. Once they got to the part of the street where they parted ways they stopped their walking.
Y/N faced Bakugou, but waited for him to speak. Once it was silent for a minute or two, she decided to break the comfortable silence.
"So what's up Bakugou? You wanted to talk to me."
He nodded his head at her statement, Bakugou swallowed thickly, and let out a shaky breath. He pulled both of his hands out his pockets, and wiped them on his pants. He grabbed her hands, closing the distance between the two.
Bakugou's POV
This was it, It was now or never. I looked into her e/c and took a mental picture of this moment, he couldn't help himself get lost in her eyes. The way the sun made them shine took his breath away, the way the warm sun lit up your face made his knees weak. The smell of your shampoo and perfume mixed deliciously, was this what love felt like? Did it really make you feel like you were flying high in the sky? Was it always gonna be this easy? To love you that is, he knew relationships had their problems, but he knew as long as he had you he needed nothing else.
"Y/N I read the letter you wrote me, and I just wanted to apologize. I'm not the best at my feelings or words, but I'm willing to try to get better for you. I didn't know you felt the same way I did, and if I did I sure as hell wouldn't have been such an ass to you. You're just always annoying me with your weirdly stupid pretty face, and your gorgeous laugh, your voice alone makes my heart do somersaults. Since we've met, you've been so nice to me, and I've just pushed you away afraid to let you in. Somehow you wiggled your way into my heart, and I regretted it at one point however now I don't. I have feelings for you too little butterfly, I'd love to be your boyfriend if you'd let me Y/L/N."
3rd POV
Y/N's eyes widened at his confession, she was smiling widely. Her cheeks, face, ears and nose were covered in a deep blush. She tucked some hair behind her ear as she bit her bottom lip, her fingers played with the sleeve of her blazer. Her breath picked up a bit, Bakugou was currently a mess. Y/N hasn't said anything since he started talking. What if she didn't want him the way she said in her letter? What if she changed her mind?
Her grabbing his hand made him leave his spiraling thoughts, when he looked at her she was smiling softly at him. His blood rushed to his cheeks, and his knees began to get weak as she leaned towards him. His eyes widened at her, when her soft lips met his cheek he blushed furiously. She pulled her phone out of her pocket and handed it to him.
Bakugou nodded his head, taking her phone from her hands. He quickly typed his number in her phone and handed it back to her. Once she had her phone back, she saved his name as king hot head, He quickly copied her actions fishing his phone out of his pocket, once he had it he handed it to her. Once she typed her number in she gave him his phone back. He saved her name as ‘Weird Face’ and pocketed his phone. Y/N pulled away and turned away from him.
She quickly walked across the street heading to her house. Her calling out to him pulled him from the clouds he was currently floating with. They both walked to their house with each other on their minds, Y/N constantly checked her phone hoping to have a message from him. She knew she shouldn't have been, but she was sad each time she saw nothing had been sent to her. So she bit the bullet and texted him first.
"See you tomorrow, hot head!"
The notification sound pulled him from his thoughts, he was currently standing in the mirror touching his cheek where she kissed him at. When he saw he had a message from her, he smirked cockily. Missed him already, huh? He read the message and quickly replied to her.
"See you tomorrow morning weird face, we're going to be waking with each other from now on."
Y/N sat on her bed and squealed when he responded so quickly. Honestly, she didn't think he would, but she guessed she was wrong. As she read his response she giggled at it and quickly replied back.
"I'll be honored to walk with you from now on, how weird is it to be in a relationship?? It’s not a bad weird though."
Bakugou stared at her response and blushed as he re-read it more times than he'd like to admit. His thumbs danced across the keyboard of his phone and pressed send immediately.
"It is pretty weird, but it could be worse dumbass. You could be with that damn Deku, but thank you for choosing me. Since you did, how about a date? Saturday 2 o'clock? How does that sound?"
Y/N checked her calendar once she got his response, and bit her bottom lip as she replied once she did she pressed the send button.
"Sounds like a plan Bakugou. I look forward to it."
Y/N put her phone on the charger and she let out a squeal. What were the odds of her crush liking her back? She never believed in luck, but now that she experienced it she knew it was real. She thanked whoever was up there watching down on her and finally felt a weight lift off her shoulders. She was on cloud nine, and she didn’t ever want to come down.
A/N: thank you so much for reading my fic I hope you guys enjoyed it, and I hope you continue to come back for more! If you want to be added to my anime tag list just message me! My next fic will be a Levi Ackerman fic. So keep an eye out for that!

♡ masterlist | requests | kofi
“oi! ‘shima! you’re needed in the boss’ office right away, she’s got important business for ya!, wants t’have a word. now.”
eijirou ducks his head politely in a sign of gratitude, thanking his co-worker and superior, keigo— for the heads up. keigo, or better known as hawks around the office ( for his fast speeds in completing work and luring lonely interns into his bed ), was a nice guy— second to the lady in charge and way too chatty. he was a bit of an air head, got the job done when it needed to be but that’s what kirishima was for, the replacement while keigo took his vacation time in the middle of the year like an idiot.
he wasn’t too sure why you kept the blonde around, he supposed it was because he was pretty but eijirou wouldn’t dare question you— he needed this internship if he was going to make it big in the sports news reporting scene. he’d been majoring in sports and healthcare at college, two years away from graduating when the opportunity to work for yn ln, one of the biggest sports journalists in japan had landed right in his lap. of course he was going to take it, of course he was going to do everything he could not to fuck it up.
in the cubicles beside him, the other interns try to muffle their giggles and titters of curious laughter as the red head gathers himself for the meeting.
“oooo, i wonder what you did this time,” kaminari teases from the right, leaning over his side of the cubicle to fiddle with the odd bits on kirishima’s desk. denki kaminari was another person kirishima wondered how the hell he got into the programme, but then again he was pretty to look at and brought a lighter air to boring office days.
“nothing! i’m innocent!” eijirou defends, hands releasing his files to fly up in defence.
the other interns, going by the names of mina ashido, kyouka jirou and hanta sero snicker amongst themselves at the interaction.
“don’t believe it, s’obviously more than nothin’ if you’re always getting called down’ta the boss lady’s office.” bakugou, another intern, grunts out with his nose deep buried in files for upcoming reports. he was a little too rough for the journalism lifestyle but got the job done. his attitude wasn’t for everyone. “they’re probably fuckin’.”
mina giggles and kirishima steps out into the paths between desks. “don’t be such a sourpuss ‘suki, just ‘cause you’re not her favourite.”
a lose ‘shut up’ is huffed, before katsuki turns to face his taller, buffer companion. “just don’t be late, bunch of us are goin’ for lunch later.” he adds and turns back to his paperwork.
“affirmative, catch ya later!”
the group waves the red head off as he heads to the elevator directing him to the main floor— this is where all the higher ups worked. the journey wasn’t unfamiliar to the intern, he wasn’t like the others and had the steps to your office memorised by heart. sometimes it was like walking home, to his comfort and sanctuary away from the stressors of work and the outside world— he knew that was bad, but you were so kind, such a sweet and understanding boss he couldn’t help but develop some level of comfort towards you.
to most, it seemed like eijirou kirishima was just unbelievably close to his boss, that you’d taken him under your wing.
he however, knew what you had, meant more.
a fluttering warmth spreads across the intern’s chest as he approaches the door to your main office and he knocks. behind it lay mountains of secrets upon secrets, things that kirishima knows about you that no one else does. the walls have hidden words, written across them in fonts of passion and admiration and it’s all that he can think about. you’re all that he can think about, and it’s still wrong. there’s a shuffling deep in the room and some flitters of paper here and there before your soft, velveteen voice breaks through the barrier between you. the one thing keeping you apart.
“come in,” you call smoothly and kirishima follows your orders swiftly, if not eagerly, entering the four walls of your office. ruby eyes dart across the room to locate your position and his heart skips a beat when he finds you, body leaning over your dark oak desk, papers scattered across it while you frantically sift through numbers and stocks and nonsense way above the level of a journalism intern. but even amongst the chaos, you’re beautiful— eyes sparkling with productivity, lined in little flecks across the colour of your orbs. the way you dress never fails to steal away eijirou’s breath— a tight fitting leather skirt that hugs your mature curves and a white blouse with the bottoms popped open— just enough for him to get a peek at your cleavage.
the poor intern has to hold himself back from blurring the lines of work and pleasure to shove himself deep into your chest, suck and lick at your plush breasts until he was high off the taste of your skin. but he wouldn’t do that, yet. not without your permission. “oh eiji baby, there you are!” you coo to the red head, bright smile stretching across blood diamond painted lips. you cross the room in three short strides, tall black heels clacking against the smooth white marble until you’re standing in front of and looking up at kirishima. “was starting to think keigo had ditzed like a pretty boy and had forgotten to send you my way, darling.”
eijirou’s cheeks flame at the smoothness in your syrupy voice, like sweet honey to his hears, the pet name striking a familiar heat deep within him. you always had a way with your words— enticing, almost like a siren calling out to him despite the taboo aura that surrounded what you had. whatever it was— he just knew it was more than your typical boss-intern relationship.
“even if he had, ‘m more than happy to be of service to you ma’am,” he responds almost a little too quickly, large hand rubbing the back of his neck and tugging at his baby hairs to ground himself.
you cock your head, eyes sparkling with mischief. “always such a helpful, good boy eijirou,” you hum, lips pulling into a devilish red smile and the praise causing a new spark of lustful electricity to crackle through the air. “i could use a little assistance, please, i have this awful meeting with the board today, spent all night preparing and couldn’t go home, i could use some stress relief,”
kirishima’s gaze becomes hooded as he looks down at you, a familiar and bright desire burning in the pits of his stomach. “oh yeah? sucks that the paperwork kept you up all night ma’am…” he trails off, choosing to let his fingers dance up and down your sides— snaking an arm around your waist to pull you into him. you couldn’t or you wouldn’t go home. he’s not sure if he cares about the answer right now— not when you tremble in his grip, itching for something, anything from him. “how long do you reckon we have ms. ln?”
“ten to fifteen minutes sweetheart, give or take,”
you grin widens, taking an impossibly closer step to your intern— pressing the swell of your breasts against his hard chest. he can feel your nipples pebbling through your blouse, almost visible behind the white fabric and god the way you look up at him— he can no longer wait, he needs you. right here and right now.
“will you be needing my assistance throughout, ma’am?” kirishima asks, voice dropping a few octaves until it falls into a low growl.
“i expect it. you are my intern after all.”
the words laced with deep huskiness, the proximity of your bodies and the rising heat in the room is what leads you both to tumble into the next series of events. before he can’t register it, your mouths are slotted together in a fast paced and sloppy kiss, kirishima’s body manoeuvres you around the office, marking out a familiar pathway to your desk—his tongue remains sliding over yours in rapid movements as he commits your taste to memory, refreshing those from the last time he had you like this. yet every time you kiss and his tongue glides over yours, you taste sweeter than before; like peaches and morning coffee— you feel softer in his grip, every dip and curve to your body like it was built for him.
eijirou can't stop thinking of that last time, tucked away in your office after dark when your dainty hands pawed desperately at his hips to bring him closer or scratched at his back from sheer pleasure— kirishima wants to see you like that against, using his own hands to tear through your shirt and send buttons flying across the room. something in him just wants to do good for you, have you ache for him and earn himself some of your sweet praise. even as you step and stumble towards your work desk, the red-head lets his lips break away from yours, connected by a string of your own saliva before he drops to your neck, lapping tracks over your skin with the temptation to bite down and paint it shades of deep purple and blue.
but there are rules that you both have in place; ways to keep what you have a secret and hidden away from the public eye so that you don’t lose all that you’ve worked for and so kirishima can keep being your precious little intern.
“jump for me, please ma’am,” he whispers heavily into the junction between your neck and your shoulders, breath laboured and warm against your skin that begins to shine with light perspiration. mindlessly, you follow his orders, jumping up while your fingers curl into the mass of red on kirishima’s head and ankles lock around his waist—his hands meet the backs of your doughy thighs, squeezing the flesh between calloused digits while you toe off your heels.
“eiji, you’re so good,” you manage between feather light breaths as they clatter to the floor as the pair of you somehow make your way to the desk chair, pushing and tearing the clothes from one another’s bodies— including your crisp shirt. now seated and left in nothing but your bra, you tug harshly at your intern’s locks and bring his mouth down to yours, allowing them to move together in a dirty, messy kiss. there’s barely any time for you both to mess around, for him to tease you until your limit and you’re crying out for any type of touch from him, so eijirou quickly
flips down your bra, exposing your chest to cool, air conditioned air—not even bothering to unclip the material as his fingers descend on your nipple, pulling and twisting them until your back arches from the stimulation. “hurry, please eijirou,”
obedient as ever, your favourite boy drops to his knees in front of the chair you stay slumped in and with his height, he still manages to tower over you, practically at eye level with hunger framing the ruby of his own. large hands knead at your plush thighs, hiking your skirt up and up to give you room to spread your thighs, cunt growing sticky from anticipation— all from a few measly touches in familiar places. but this is kirishima, and he knows how your body works from countless hours spent after the office closes up— using one another to blow off extra steam. he knows just what makes you tick and moan his name.
logically, eijirou knows that your meeting could start at any minute and even though you’re both in a stickler for time, he still wants to get a taste at your skin before devouring your most intimate parts. he’ll make time to explore every part of you, to assist you in your stress relief. “‘m sorry miss, yn,” he whines needily, watching your chest rise and fall with want, feeling your body heat up and twitch from the ghost of his fingertips across your blemished skin. “gotta have a taste of you before the real deal, hope’ya don’t mind…”
latching onto the left mound of flesh at your exposed chest, kirishima sinks the point of his teeth into the area around your nipple— just enough to graze your skin and pull a sweet mewl from your mouth. you’re both lucky for the soundproof walls, your head thrown back in a lewd moan he lets his pink tongue roll over your bud in vicious circles. heavy, fat globs of saliva pool over the pink muscle, pouring down kirishima’s chin and painting your skin with a slick shine. “h-how...how could i mind angel, not when you treat me s’good,” you heave, vision fading in and out due to the overwhelming amount of pleasure flashing through your body in waves of hotness. “always doin’ so well for me eiji, aren’t you such a good boy?”
“yes ma’am,” the intern confirms with a erogenous slur, pacified and content on his knees for you— sucking, licking and biting at your chest to his heart’s content. “‘m your good boy,” he corrects you, however. eijirou feels most happy when grazing his tongue over the swell of your breasts, watching your face carefully for any twitches of delirium, it lets him know how hot aroused he makes you feel— that knowledge shoots straight to his cock, rock hard in his slacks while the redhead watches his boss writhe in her seat all for his eyes only.
such a dazzling view, and it’s all for fucking him.
your perfectly manicured nails run through red hair, scratching deliciously at his scalp until you’re forcing his head back and pulling kirishima off of your breast with a pop. “as much as i love seeing a pretty boy suck on my tits like a baby, we’re pressed for time angel, gonna need you to speed it up a little,” despite the softness to your face and the sudden evenness to the tone of your voice, the words that you speak to eijirou are vulgar, nasty, and turn him on to his wits end. “want you to eat me out eiji, can you do that for me?”
shaking his head, yes, beautiful claret eyes shining with acquiescence, kirishima wipes the spit from his chin with the back of his hand— like the tainted, dirty intern he is. you sigh down at him salaciously, ready to tear his innocence apart all over again. eijirou was always so willing to please, both in his work and behind closed doors— you would be a fool to not take advantage of that. with brute force, your intern forces your legs apart, eyes rolling back in his skull from the scent of your sex, dripping with your juices right through your underwear and stockings. overexcited, he rips through the flimsy material at your cunt, exposing your panties for him to see.
“you’re so...so wet ms.ln,” kirishima comments observantly, not even bothering to pull your stockings the rest of the way down your legs, instead opting to pull on the whole until it’s wide enough for his mouth to fit. “smell s’good, bet you taste even better,” there’s a patch on the crotch of your panties, darker than the rest of the material from where you leak and without a second thought, the red head instantly surges forward to lick a stripe over it, letting out a choked gripe as the taste of your cream from over the fabric invades his tongue.
you let out a shrill cry, hips jumping up at the first brush of his tongue against your untouched, clothed pussy. you wriggle even as kirishima holds you down, needing the heat of his mouth against you before your meeting starts. but he’s so good, so well trained, reaching up to your hips to yank your panties down in one fluid motion. leaning forward, kirishima savagely buries his face between your doughy thighs, hiking them over his shoulders from beneath the desk. his nose bumps against your clit, swollen from the lack of touch as he greedily inhales your scent once more— without warning, the intern kicks a stripe up the length of your pussy, sucking your juices into his mouth and smiling against your heat.
“d-don’t tease baby, be good for me,” you remind kirishima, your body trembles with anticipation, craving an orgasm to expel the stress of your work days out. the boy between your legs only hums, the sound running straight though cunt and vibrating against it, causing you to gush and spill your arousal out onto the leather seat beneath your cheeks. eijirou feasts on the slick that seeps from your fluttering hole, gliding his tongue up and down your sex, allowing the occasional pressure from his nose to stimulate your bundle of nerves.
the pads of his thighs burn marks into your legs, using them as leverage to pull your heated core further into his mouth, “can’t help it ma’am, y’got such a pretty pussy...s’only right that i worship you…” eijirou breaths right against your puffy folds, eyes trained on the way your hole clenches around nothing. a primal urge flares in his chest, a desire— no, a need— to see you filled with something, any part of him that can make you see stars and fuck you dumb. “‘m sorry, ‘m sorry you jus look s’fucking pretty miss…”
attaching his lips to your clit, the redhead pushes the spit gathered on his tongue right over your sloppy sit, hazy ruby stare watching as his saliva mixes with your juices and slides over your empty hole. he follows the oozing trail with his tongue, lapping it up and spewing it back into your sex until the pink muscle slips past your entrance— slipping inside of you with no prior warnings. your knuckles that grasp the arms of the chair as you’re spoiled between your legs by your top intern, his hands snaking their way around the tops of your thighs to spread your sticky pussy lips apart in order to bring more of you to the cool air of the office.
“you like this don’cha? dirty little boy,” you tease the poor boy, watching as his cheeks flame with embarrassment. “being a naughty little intern between your boss’ thighs all to keep on pleasing her, keep your position at her company, huh? fuck eiji, you just love miss riding your naughty tongue—ohmygod—“
the way you sound, voice smooth like chocolate over the obscene slurping that fills the thats air heavy with the scent of sex and, makes eijirou’s cock jump up, precum oozing from his tip as he begins to rut against the hard floor beneath your desk. he makes an attempt to respond, but your thighs lock his head in place and his words come out muffled against your core. “mph, luh it, you’re s’sexy, please ma’am—“ he mumbles sordidly against you, practically humping the ground at your feet as you pick on him.
for a brief moment, kirishima pulls away to watch you roll your hips into nothing, hot tears beginning to brew into our hooded eyes from the satisfaction he brings you with every flick and flit of his tongue against where you need him most. written in your eyes is the command to keep going, your hands twistingly sharply in red roots to bring the intern back to your sluice, spasming cunt. so he does as he’s told, shoving his tongue deep inside your ribbed, iron hot walls and dragging tip along them to collect and taste strings of your viscous juices.
biting your lip, you do your best to hold back a voracious howl, bucking your hips feverishly into your intern’s face and staining his cheeks with everything that you have— he thrusts his tongue into you to the pace of your own hips, moaning against your slippery slit until your eyes are rolling. “gonna cum from this eiji, from you eatin’ me out like this...jus need a little more— need your fingers pretty boy,” you can feel the twist of the knot in your lower tummy starting to unravel, signifying your oncoming high, and the room starts to spin while kirishima eats you out with new vigour.
“yeah? miss? you’re gonna cum for me?” the intern practically whines and pulls his tongue from your hear, almost crying as his hips thump against the floor desperate for friction. “wanna see you come undone s’bad, please cum for me, please, please—“ eijirou chants, replacing his tongue with two of his thick digits, watching as your slick cunt stretches around them accommodatingly. he jackhammers them inside of you, grunting lowly underneath the slaps of his palm against the meat of your ass, as he returns to your clit to suckle on it hungrily. his fingers curl instantly in search for the spongy spot inside of you— bearing down hard against it once it’s located.
“oh—hah, right there baby— right fuckin’ there—!” you squeal, only egging him on as white starts to cloud your vision, everything sounds so nasty and wet, while eijirou stimulates both of your pleasure spots. it becomes hard to breath, legs wobbling around his broad shoulders, but your intern doesn’t let up, determined to bring you to cloud nine.
“that’s it ma’am, right there—you’re almost there, can feel you clenching around my fingers...please cum, fuck i want your cum, wanna taste you so bad, cum. cum. cum!” and that’s all it takes, eijirou’s pleading voice between your thick thighs to make the coil inside you snap and for your orgasm to wash over you. you convulse in your chair, nectar gushing freely from your raw and overstimulated cunt, spewing all over the redheads face as he continued to lap at your clit to ride out your high.
but he doesn’t stop there, scissoring his fingers deep within your velvet walls as you continue to cum, making you shake your head and wail from the high levels of ecstasy.
“please eiji—n’more, can’t, no—“
“you can miss, i know you can—fuck you look so pretty when you’re about to squirt for me, please…”
as quickly as your first high ended, another one comes crashing over you in harsh waves— rocking your world as clear liquid floods from your pussy— the sheer force of you squirting, pushing kirishima’s fingers out from your tight, sappy hole. your release hits the floor with a crude slap, both of you moaning loudly almost for the whole world to hear. he doesn’t stop sucking, clearing up your pretty cunt even as you fade in and out of consciousness from pleasure— he stays lapping at you with burning, languid strokes of his tongue between your folds even as you weakly attempt to answer the phone now ringing from your desk.
clearing your throat, you muster up the strength to sound professional over the line before picking up the phone and bringing it towards your ear. “good afternoon, this is yn ln of shinku sports reports, bringing you the latest sporting news, how may i help you?”
‘this is the board, we need to discuss this month's stocks and reports.’
from the corner of your eye, you can see kirishima rise from his place underneath your desk— standing tall over you once more while you converse with the directors on the other end of the phone. as quietly as he can, the redhead tears through the buttons on his shirt in a similar way to you, prior to you fucking and unbuckles his slacks. he pulls down his boxers and pants in one go, revealing his thick, hard girth that stands tall and slaps against his stomach— tip an angry shade of red as precum smears across his lower belly.
you nod into the phone, forgetting that the board can’t see you as kirishima lifts you from the chair and lays you on your back across the desk littered with unread papers. “ah yes, i’ve been expecting a call from you…” you whisper so quietly instead, not caring if they’ve missed what you said. you’re hardly paying attention, choosing to wrap a fist around eijirou’s cock, slickly pumping him to prepare him to take you— he parts your thighs, eyes closing and body shuddering above you while you continue to converse with the board.
spreading the droplets of precum across his slit and iron hot tip, kirishima takes his cock from your grasp— heavily slapping it against your sensitive and swollen clit to see you jolt up the desk. “gonna fuck you so good miss, jus’ be good ‘n stay quiet for me okay?” he says, a whimper catching in the tail end of his words. you nod to him, rushed and way too eager, laying your head back on the hard wood your swimming gaze settles on kirishima as he taps the head of his cock against your hole, teasingly pushing it just past your entrance before withdrawing again.
‘ms. ln, are you still there? we really are pressed for time so we would love to start by discussing interviews for the next issue—‘
you forget that you’re still connected on the line, settling for wriggling impatiently underneath your intern, who’s caramel tinted skin glistens with sweat and his cheeks begin to flush with unadulterated desire— all from watching the way your puffy folds lube up his shaft with every push through them. you can see him losing his resolve, just as sensitive as you since he’s been holding back an orgasm and without the hint of a warning, eijirou’s hips jump forward and drive his cock into the deepest parts of your sex— brushing against your cervix. you gasp out in surprise, finally losing focus and barely manage a more comprehensive response to the board you have waiting on the line. “y-yes!— yes, yes, i’m still here… you may proceed with the meeting.”
he’s big, bigger than anyone you’ve ever had— and you’d seen a lot being a woman of your caliber this high up in the industry...but no one could compare to the way your sweet, doe eyed gentlemanly little intern filled you up, fat cock stretching your walls even with the shallow thrusts into your cunt he gives you to adjust. the weight of his girth sits heavily inside you, twitching as kirishima slides into you easily due to the stickiness lining your gummy walls, breath shaky and uneven as he holds out for you during this time. you can tell the poor boy isn’t going to last long, fingers sinking into your thighs with a harsh grip while he tries to hold himself back.
such a good boy, always waiting for your every command.
‘so we’d like to talk about the main feature for next month’s issue, do you have anyone in mind?’
the monotone voice of the board member is drowned about by kirishima’s shaky breaths above you, his pleading puppy dog eyes while he stills himself inside your spasming, puckered hole— he waits for permission, following orders like a trained pet even though he can hardly stand it, overwhelmed by the flutter of your sex around him and heat from your body despite thrown over the desk. “y-you’re s’warm...god ma’am...need to—need to move,” the redhead huffs weakly in order to keep himself quiet, a line of sweat dotting his brow. “please,”
you sit up on the desk, legs locking around his slender waist to draw him closer, sheathing more of the poor boy inside of you until he’s completely bottomed out and balls deep inside your pretty cunt. he drops his neck to your shoulder, tongue lolling over your salt licked skin before biting down to pacify himself, sharp teeth almost drawing blood while you adjust the cord of the phone. “i was thinking…thinking that we got the hockey player— the oylmpic champion…” your eyes drift to kirishima’s complacent face, giving him a nod to start moving while he sucks another bruise further down his onto your collarbone. “t-touya...touya todoroki—!”
you hiccup but play it off with a cough when kirishima pulls back his hips, so far that his girth completely leaves you, before he drives himself forward with one powerful thrust and fills you right up again. looking down, you see him bulge in your tummy, the line of his girth prominent against your body— slightly dwarfed in kirishima’s arms. you rock your hips, coaxing your intern into your warmth to help him build up a momentum of thrusts.
‘sounds like a good choice, do we have anyone who could interview him? i believe we can have PR set up an interview this week.’
the desk creaks below you, hard wood groaning along with the red head who hides himself in your neck, squeaking pathetically as he moves inside of you— precum smearing along your gummy walls that welcome his hardened shaft. your pussy opens up for eijirou like it’s welcoming him home, still growing used to the pleasure-filled burn and stretch of him pushing in and out of you. the nerves on his head catch amongst your inner ridges, making his toned body shake in ecstasy.
“m-ma’am, feel s’fucking good, so fucking good...” your intern hums against your salty skin mawkishly, large palms dropping to the flesh of your ass— kneading it to bring you closer to his body— cock barely leaving you due to your proximity. with slow strokes, eijirou fills you up, painting you with what leaks from his tip— prodding at your cervix and brushing up against your sweet spot in ways that make sweet nectar dribble from your hole.
your digits curl in his hair once more, the phone slipping from between your neck and creating rustling on your end. “eijirou,” you sigh breathily, humping back his cock while you squeeze around him selfishly, keeping your intern inside of you. “i-i mean eijirou kirishima, he’s an intern— such a… a good one at that…”
a immodest whimper brews in the base of eijirou’s throat, bubbling against his bruised lips while you shower him with praise, indirect to him, hand snaking up to the back of your neck— tangling in your baby hairs as he pulls you up to a sloppy kiss, slotting your mouths together and running his tongue over yours. “f-fuck mommy, ‘m i your good boy? please tell me yes, fuck, yn— ma’am,”
kirishima’s voice rises in octave as it does devoir and pathos, vulnerability stays written across his handsome features as he succumbs to the mind break the heat of your damp, creamy core as he fucks into you. you throb at his use of mommy, shakily pulling the phone away from your ear to reach up to his own, nipping the earlobe and tugging on it gently. “you’re my good boy baby, keep being good eiji, be quiet...you gotta stay quiet if you want to keep fucking mommy okay? you wanna cum inside me right?” you say, words aberrant and low toned on your tongue, your intern hisses and whines in response— nodding his head again and letting out a barely coherent ‘yes’. “then shh, baby, let mommy talk yeah?”
“hm’kay,” he babbles, dropping his ruby framed gaze to where your bodies meet, hiking your skirt further up your thighs to get a better view of your cunt staining his heavy balls with a layer of your slick.
‘ms. ln, are you sure that you want an intern to cover this case—’ the board begins to ask you, muffled from the distance away from you both.
picking up the phone again, you pull the line towards you again— mindful of capturing eijirou’s weak little mewls over the device as he languidly pumps himself in and out of you. “i know what i—fuck, what i want. eijirou, will be—oh— on the case. that's final.” you huff, watching your intern fall into a pussyhaze, his precious mind fogging with thoughts of only painting you white inside and out as a reward for helping relieve you of stress. the slow roll of his hips into yours are accompanied by the soft slaps of his skin against your own, wet and sticky— determination to make you feel good crackling across his mind.
‘there’s no need to curse, ma’am, do you need a moment to recollect yourself before we proceed with discussing the other features.’
“i’m fucking fine,” you growl, in anger or need you don’t know. but kirishima frowns, you can feel it as he start nosing up your cheek— swiping his tongue over areas of skin he hasn’t touched just yet— he grunts possessively , unhappy with the use of your title coming from anyone other than him. to prove his point, he pushes your thighs wider apart, letting you drip all over the documents sitting below your ass and ruining the ink— important or not he starts a brutal pace into your cunt and presses down on your tummy so you can feel exactly where eijirou is inside you and know that only he can make you feel this way.
‘ms.ln—‘
“i’m fine. keep going.” you grit your teeth, biting your lip to hold down your panting— again you don’t know who you’re speaking to. your intern who slows the movement of his hips, postponing in and out of your tightened hole, clamping down on him eagerly or the stupid board member giving you grief on the phone.
they proceed to talk, barking out suggestions to your sports magazine, that you hate— even considering bringing in good for nothing athletes who’d treated you like shit in the past, and you’d sworn to never work for them again.
but it’s almost silly, how kirishima lets out small moans of mommy and ma’am, trying to keep your attention on him like you would give up grinding down on your intern’s dick for some prissy member of the board over the phone— but you love the slight possession eijirou has over you, moulding your iron hot walls into the shape of his fat dick that presses up against your pleasure spots, makes you convulse and drawl and become addicted to everything that is him. eijirou kirishima.
“takin’ me so good, so well ma’am...don’t think i can hold on anymore…please,” eijirou warns you, losing control of his body as he takes you for his own like he’s done many times before after hours— your gazes lock, you can see his desperation to ruin you, moan for you despite the people on the phone and the people outside your office.
if he grows too loud, he could give you away— they could be listening in to your poor needy little intern humping you like a feral dog and whining your name. and as much as that thought makes your hole spasm around his fat cock, make his thrusts stutter and eyes screw shut while you moan in sweet, almost silent harmony, you love your job and so weakly, you take two of your fingers, shoving them deep into eijirou’s mouth as it hangs open in heavy pants of warm air. you press down on his wet tongue, fucking into his mouth in tune with the pace of his hips plunging deep within your walls, churning up your syrupy and sticky insides.
“keep quiet, baby,” you hiss to the redhead, who’s eyes start to brim with fresh hot tears from the overwhelming pleasure. “let mommy take care of this, yeah? finish up so you can let it all out on me.”
he sucks on your fingers to calm himself down, shallow breathing while he paws at the flesh on your sides and circles his hips into yours— letting his leaky tip bare down on your sweet spot and forcing the air out of your body. white hot pleasure flashes through your bloodstream, replacing any air of professionalism flooding through them. you can’t, you physically cannot hold back either of your orgasms— you can’t concentrate as your mind starts to fall away with the world and your gaze hones in on the way kirishima takes your fingers in his hot mouth so deep in an attempt to hush himself.
the coil in your tummy begins to unwind and the room swims once more. ‘ms.ln is everything okay over there— we need to progress with his meeting if we’re—‘ the annoying board member sounds underneath kirishima’s sloppy groans, saliva dribbling down the sides of his mouth. your dirty, good boy.
“i’m going to need to take a rain—hah— a rain check on this meeting. you’ll hear from me when my interns and i are ready—“ you huff, cutting the staff off and quickly throwing the phone onto the hook, you’ll have keigo deal with the consequences later but for now you focus on kirishima who picks you up by the ass, lifting you up and down on his cock in frantic movements as he finally loses all connections to his control. “ohmygod—eiji baby, slow—fuck, down—“
he shakes his head, latching onto your collar bone as he revels in the way you leak down his shaft and drip between his balls, lewd squelching sounds fluttering through the air hot, sex scented air at full volume. “‘m sorry ma’am— i can’t… i’m really close, i really need’ta cum...please ma’am...mommy, i’ve been good—please let me cum...“ eijirou groans heartily, from deep in his chest as if he’s finally releasing what he’s been holding back— arms flexing and the sweat from his body slicking up your own.
limbs shaking you wrap your arms around his shoulders and press your foreheads against one another, while you nod. he worked so hard to make you feel good, all day long to do the best job that he can— pressing small kisses to his lips encouragingly. “you can do it baby, one last thing for me— fill me up eiji, cum for me.” you whisper between bites and sucks on his lower lip, lined with a vibrant shade of red.
“cummin’, cummin’...miss yn, mommy—!” and then his hips come to a halt, his dick pulsing as waves of his cream line your insides with an opaque white, thick and seeping down your thighs. his fingers drop to your sensitive cunt, slipping quick circles over your swollen clit to bring you to your high. his cock never stops pumping in and out of you, pushing his seed further into your sex while you writhe and fall over the edge into your orgasm— gushing so hard you force him out of plugged and full hole.
losing his strength, kirishima collapses on top of you, pressing out both to the hard wood seat which you’re surprised is still standing, his lips pressing fleeting kisses across your face and neck while you both come back down to earth.
and then he looks up at you with a weak smile, “did i do good?” he asks you lazily and almost sleepily— refusing to budge from laying atop you and almost crushing you with his weight.
pushing back his hair to soothe him. “always eiji, you’re not my favourite intern for nothing,” you coo at him, pulling him up to press your lips to him in a soft kiss.
“i sure hope you don’t have any other favourites, i want to be the only one who assists you like this,” kirishima says, remaining tangled with you for a moment more in your office, content with snuggling into your exposed and bruised side.
you share a sleepy giggle, intending to clean up later— eijirou completely forgetting about the lunch he’d promised the other interns after your meeting.
oh well, assisting you was a much better treat than spending time with any one else.

you wanna kiss me so bad, huh?

pairings: katsuki bakugo x reader
length: 5k words
warnings: swearing, mentions of making out (w/ a minor), breach of privacy??
tags: secret relationship, enemies to lovers, high school AU, reader-insert
summary: the mutual agreement between you and your bf to keep your relationship on the DL is about to be ruined when he makes the stupid mistake to leave his phone on the table for the whole class to see
author’s note: i’m so sorry! i really tried to make it gender neutral, but it was female leaning... i apologize! i’m still pretty new to writing dis homie so please be lenient when it comes to character accuracy lol. i also apologize for the messy, unstructured writing. also thank u to bae @izvkos for proofreading!
Just as you were getting ready to doze off, the school bell rang, startling you and making you jerk up from your comfortable position on the desk with your head in your arms. Some of your classmates got up to stretch, since it was the break time between classes. Unfortunately, it had only been the end of third period and you had a long school day to go through. You let out a low groan of disappointment. I guess I’ll have to keep myself awake just a little bit longer.
To be honest, you didn’t mean to stay up all night... it was just that you couldn’t help binge-watching your favorite show last night. You convinced yourself that you were only going to watch one episode before you went to sleep... then one lead to two... then three... and then before you knew it, the birds started chirping. But, hey! It wasn’t your fault that it was so addicting!
“Oi.”
You look up to see Bakugo peering over you with his hands in his pockets and a smirk on his face, “Tch, you don’t look so good today. Didn’t get enough sleep? How are you gonna be a pro hero with those bad habits of yours?”
You scoffed, “Oh, fuck off. Sorry I don’t go to sleep at 8 every night… grandpa.”
“Yeah, yeah. Make fun of me all you want, but who’s gonna be laughing when you fail your exams next week. I see you dozing off in class, you act like Aizawa-sensei doesn’t even notice,” Bakugo grunts.
You coo, “Awe, is blasty-boy watching me during class? I didn’t know you were this deeply in love with me! So cute.”
His face went red for a moment before his usual angry expression returned, “I DON’T HAVE A CRUSH ON YOU DAMMIT! I DON’T HAVE TIME FOR STUPID CRAP LIKE THAT!”
“Y/n! Stop teasing Bakugo like that! You know he can’t handle it...” Mina chimed in, joining the fun.
“WHAT DO YOU MEAN I CAN’T HANDLE IT?! ” screamed Bakugo.
“Quiet down back there.,” threatened Cementoss as he entered the class to prepare his next lesson.
You and Mina were just laughing at your classmate screaming his head off, it was always an amusing sight if anything. Even though Bakugo denies having a crush on you, it wasn’t true. And you knew that. He had a fat crush on you, but it was more than that! He was your boyfriend.
You guys had kept your relationship on the down-low for about a month now, your relationship only became official about a week ago, but you guys had been going on dates prior. Bakugo wanted to keep your relationship a secret, you know, to protect his ego or whatever since there has always been a rivalry between the two of you and everyone in Class 1-A was painfully aware of it. He was too proud to let anyone know that he fell for someone he once vouched as his enemy.
-
There was always constant bickering between the two of you. Whether it be something minute or something that you would argue over for a couple of days. It’s not like the arguments were unintentional because they were started just to spite the other. Bickering would start about each other’s fighting technique in battle or even accusing the other of stealing their food from the shared fridge in the dorms.
The rest of your class was so sick and tired of the ongoing feud so one day, they set out a plan (led by Kaminari and Kirishima) to lock you two in a room just to sort out your differences. They set a date where they would trick you two into thinking that there was a class activity that everyone had to attend, but it would just be you two to show up and you would smash the beef between you two, and BOOM! Problem solved.
Just as the day came for the plan, something was weirdly off about you two. The morning of, you two both came into class at the same time and it was dead silent between you two. No bickering, no petty comments, and no evil stares. As more and more people were arriving, they would immediately notice the weird tension in the air. It was strangely quiet, not just because you and Bakugo were silent, but because everyone else was too. The thought of you guys not constantly at each other’s necks that morning sort of put off the rest of the class. It felt weird to talk over the dead silence when they were so used to your guys’ voices as ambiance while they were in conversation.
As the day went on, nothing changed and you guys were still silent and ignoring each other. Obviously, everyone was suspicious about what exactly happened between you two to make you ignore one another. There was no way that you guys were angry at each other because when you were, both of you made it clear by arguing and yelling loudly.
However, before anyone had the chance to ask why you guys were so quiet, Bakugo decided to approach you for the first time between class periods. At this point, the class was back to normal and having regular conversations with one another during break time, but all of their eyes were on you two, and their voices hushed to pay attention to the tense interaction shared between you two.
“Oi. Let’s talk,” said Bakugo bluntly.
You looked up at his crimson red eyes for a second before looking away as if his presence wasn’t even there. At this point, you didn’t know what to say to him, yet. This fired up Bakugo because within a second he started yelling again.
“HEY DUMBASS! YOU DON’T GET TO IGNORE ME LIKE THAT!” he screamed.
You turned to meet his glare annoyed, “Oh, shut the fuck up. I don’t owe you shit. Leave me alone.”
He tested, “The fuck did you say to me, idiot?!”
“Fuck off, dipshit, all you ever wanna do is yell! And might I add- you do it loudly. Are you such a fucking grandpa that you can’t even hear yourself speak? Can you ever jjust shut. the. fuck. UP!” you yelled back.
The arguing continued and the rest of Class 1-A continued with their previous conversations after seeing you guys back to normal. The tension between you guys soon left their minds as they continued with the rest of their day. Unbeknownst to them, the night before you two were arguing like usual in the kitchen area of the dorms before Bakugo made his first move on you.
-
The argument started with you getting angry at Bakugo for making a mess on the counter after spilling some of his water. It was late at night and no one else was around and you two happened to wake up around the same time to get a drink of water.
“You idiot, clean up your fucking mess. You spilled it all over the counter,” you said as you gestured to the spilled water.
“Tch. I didn’t spill shit. If it bothers you so much, why don’t you go clean it up yourself?” he groaned as he leaned against the counter.
Appalled, you grabbed the roll of paper towels and threw it at his head. He was caught off guard as the roll of paper hit his forehead. It fell and rolled out onto the floor. Now, he was truly annoyed.
“Fuck was that for, huh?!” he said staring at you, smoke practically coming out of his ears.
You laughed, “Just giving you a hand since it seemed like you were too fucking lazy to grab the paper towels yourself. Seems like the grandpa’s getting too old to do stuff for himself, boohoo.”
He growled, rage evident in his face. You laughed to yourself looking away from his face. The next thing you knew, he grabbed you by the shoulders and pushed you against the fridge behind you. You were pinned by his big, rough hands and he was closer to your face than usual, yet still enraged.
You tried to wiggle out of his grip, but it was useless, “Let go of me, idiot! You need to learn how to take a fucking joke.”
He didn’t respond, but he kept his eyes on your face. You tried moving away, but now his grip on your shoulders tightened, making your breath hitch.
“What the fuck is your problem? You want me to say sorry or something? Did the paper towel knock the fucking sense out of you? Let me go!” you argued.
“What happened to all your fucking hero training? Can’t get out of my grip, huh? How pathetic,” he growled in a low tone.
You felt his eyes piercing into your own and it was making you a little bit uncomfortable. He’s never been physical with you, even with the constant bickering between you guys. This was a side of him you’ve never seen.
You started, “Look, did I hurt your feelings or something? Did I hit you really hard on the head? There’s no point in holding me against the fridge. Plus, the handle is kind of hurting my back-”
“Shut up,” he stated plainly.
He looked away, avoiding eye contact with you. Okay.... suspicious much...
You tried moving once again, then he pulled you up from the fridge only to slam you back against it, but this time harder.
“Why can’t you just fucking stay still?!” he started yelling.
“Ow! Because you’re being a fucking weirdo! There’s something fucking wrong with you, it’s starting to creep me out! What the fuck are your intentions anyway, huh?!” you argued back.
His calmness fading, he yelled back, “SHUT THE FUCK UP! ALL YOU EVER DO IS GET ON MY FUCKING NERVES LIKE YOU KNOW EVERY FUCKING THING IN THE WORLD!”
His face was inching closer and closer to your face with each word pouring from his mouth. You smirked at this.
You laughed, teasing, “Oh, you wanna kiss me so bad, huh?”
He immediately froze after hearing that sentence spill from your mouth and avoided eye contact yet again. Oddly enough, he returned to his calmer self... If you didn’t know any better, it was obvious that that sentence held some truth with him.
“Look just-”
Before you could finish your sentence, his lips crashed onto yours. Your eyes shot wide open at the shock of the situation. Bakugo Katsuki fucking kissed you... Bakugo Katsuki. The Bakugo Katsuki who always argued with you. The Bakugo Katsuki who always got on your nerves. THAT Bakugo Katsuki.
Taking you away from your thoughts, he pulled away from the kiss. He examined your face for your reaction, but you were frozen in place with your eyes shot wide open. You didn’t know what to do, as if you were a computer and you were going through some code that you weren’t programmed to handle. He looked away and scoffed at himself, mumbling.
“Of course, she didn’t fucking like that, idiot...” he mumbled.
His grip on you loosened and his hands were brought to his side and he couldn’t bear to look at you in the face again. Breaking from your frozen state, you focused your eyes on him. He pulled his face away from your point of view and was scratching his neck in embarrassment and you could notice the light blush spread on his cheeks. You felt a little tug on your heart that you’ve never felt before when looking at him. At that moment, he was just so freaking cute.
Mentally telling yourself that you’re gonna regret this later, you grabbed his face in your hands and pulled him closer to you again. Your lips locked with his and you closed your eyes to bask in the moment. Only this time, Bakugo’s eyes were shot wide open, but only for a second. Relief soon spread across his face and his eyes rested on your waist, pulling you closer.
Both of you guys wanted nothing more than to stay in that moment forever, the rivalry between you two completely non-existent. As all good things must come to an end, you pulled away from him and your eyes made contact for a second before you both looked away, blushing. Realization soon hit you and you didn’t know what to do next.
“I-”
“Uh-”
You guys stuttered at the same time, making eye contact for a second before looking away. The atmosphere between the two of you was confusing. Before you could think of another thing to say, he spoke up first.
“Good night,” he said.
He walked away swiftly and turned the corner to the hallway towards his dorm. You stood for a few seconds not knowing what to think. You released the breath that you didn’t realize you were holding in and proceeded to walk towards your dorm room. Leaving the kitchen a bit of a mess for the night.
The next day it was Kaminari who was blamed for leaving the paper towel on the floor and some spilled water on the counter. Poor boy.
-
Now, the relationship that you had with ‘blasty-boy’ would probably seem complicated and confusing in the eyes of others, but you two were pretty content with where you guys were at. There was an unspoken agreement that you would keep your relationship under wraps. You knew how Bakugo always tried to upkeep his ego of being the best. You’ve always assumed that he didn’t want anyone to know he had a soft spot for you. And you didn’t necessarily mind not sharing your relationship out in the open, anyway. I mean, you guys only just made your relationship official, but it was a little hard to keep your mouth shut when you desperately wanted to gush about him with the other girls of Class 1-A.
Although, you guys have managed to maintain the rivalry between you guys in front of the others. It’s not like you guys were faking it, though. Only now, you guys saw it as fun, meaningless banter and meant nothing by it. The few times that you’ve got to spend with Bakugo alone were completely different from when you would be with him as a group.
On one of your more recent dates, he invited you to watch a movie in his dorm room and he was so adamant about keeping you close to him throughout the movie. At one point in the night, you tried to get up to use the restroom real quick and his arm around your waist pulled you back down, making you fall onto his lap and you stared up at him. He ignored you and stared at the laptop screen.
“Uh... I need to go pee. Let me go, please?” you smiled up at him.
He gave you a glance and reverted his stare to the screen again, “No.”
“What do you mean no? I drank so much water because the popcorn was too salty... come on. You want me to pee on you or something?” you joked.
He laughed, “So, what if I do?”
You sat up and his gaze finally met yours and his signature smirk was plastered on his face.
You grabbed one of his pillows and hit him with it, “Ew, you’re so fucking gross! I’m going.”
He laughed and finally allowed you to leave, but rest assured, he snuggled up with you when you came back.
-
Right now, you were hanging with the rest of your class in the common room. On Fridays, you guys all agreed to a movie night after a long week of classes. You were sitting with the rest of the girls, settled between Momo and Mina. The movie hasn’t started yet since everyone was starting to get comfortable and settled in. A few of your classmates were grabbing popcorn and other snacks in the kitchen while the rest of you guys were just chatting. Somehow, the conversation between the girls evolved into talking about relationships.
“Oh my god! There was this really cute guy that I accidentally bumped into at lunch and apparently he’s a third-year! I hope I bump into him again, he was seriously cute,” gushed Mina.
“That’s so cute, Mina! I wish I had, like, ANY romantic interactions. My life’s so boring...” groaned Ochaco.
“Same,” said Hagakure.
The rest of the girls sort of nodded in agreement, but you just sat there sipping your juice pouch loudly.
“Y/n? You’re awfully quiet,” teased Tsu as she nudged you with her elbow.
“Well, I mean-”
“What are you ladies talking about over here, huh?” said Denki as he and the other boys inched closer to the girls to join their conversation.
Momo spoke up, “Seems like Y/n over here has a crush!”
You covered your face in embarrassment, “No I do not! It’s... uh... look we’re just... talking?”
Kirishima teased, “Awe so who’s the lucky individual?”
“Yeah, I wanna know who captured our Y/n’s heart,” laughed Sero.
“It’s no one...” you said after trying to recover after digging yourself in a deeper hole.
“Hey, Bakugo. How do you feel about Y/n’s new crush, huh? Maybe your love for her isn’t reciprocated after all...” started Kaminari before Bakugo stood from his seat on the couch and grabbed his shirt to intimidate him.
He growled, “I don’t have a crush on Y/n. How many times do I have to tell you idiots that?!”
“You’re just jealous that Y/n’s significant other is probably hotter than you!” laughed Mina.
Visibly annoyed at the situation, Bakugo walks away rolling his eyes and mumbling, “Tch. Can’t believe I go to school with a bunch of idiots...”
“Awe, can’t take it anymore? Your love for me is so strong that it pains you to listen to this conversation, huh, Bakugo?” you teased.
“Shut up. I’m going to the bathroom,” he said plainly.
The rest of your classmates on the couch got a laugh in before the topic of your potential significant other died down into smaller topics within different people. Those who were in the kitchen preparing the snacks for everyone finally came back and everyone was finding their seats around the TV and your boyfriend had yet to come back.
You pulled out your phone to text him and right as you did, Iida turned off the lights.
“Yo, Y/n. Turn off your phone it’s too bright and the movie’s about to start,” nudged Mina.
You apologized, “Sorry. I’ll turn it off in a minute I just need to text someone.”
You pulled up your boyfriend’s text log and typed in a message for him:
yo blasty boy why arent u back from the bathroom the movies starting
...also i saved u a seat next to me so we can cuddle (lowkey of course hehe)
After sending those two messages, you put away your phone in your pocket. Everyone was concentrated on the movie and you set your attention on the TV screen until...
PING PING
A phone on the coffee table lit up brightly while making two loud notification pings. Everyone lost focus on the movie and looked over at the phone on the table. No doubt that it was your grandpa of a boyfriend’s phone pinging. Before you could do something, Kirishima grabbed it.
“Who the hell didn’t turn off their ringer? And why is it so damn loud..” laughed Sero.
Kirishima’s eyes scanned his phone for a quick second before his eyes widened and he covered his mouth in surprise.
“Holy shit! Bakugo has a girlfriend!” yelled Kirishima.
You couldn’t help but cover your face in your blanket... Bakugo was about to be so mad at you. Your secret would be out and honestly, you were glad, but you know that your boyfriend didn’t want anyone to find out anytime soon. At least, not like this.
Everyone turned to Kirishima, suddenly losing interest in the movie playing in front of them.
“Oh my god, you’re joking!” squealed Yaoyorozu.
Ojiro claimed, “There’s no way that Bakugo has a girlfriend. Not that hothead.”
“Bro, I’m not joking! And guess what... it’s someone in this room!” exclaimed Kirishima.
Everyone starts looking around the class, silently accusing their classmates of being the culprit.
“Look what they said: ‘also i saved u a seat next to me so we can cuddle‘! Someone better start speaking upppppp!” said Kaminari teasingly as he got the phone from the red-haired boy.
“So, who is it?” grinned Ochako.
Sero peeked at the phone in Kirishima’s hands, “There’s no name, it just says ‘dumbass’. That’s so like Bakugo.”
You sighed in relief. You didn’t know that Bakugo didn’t have your contact as your actual name.
“G-guys! I don’t think Kacchan would want us to go through his phone...” protested Midoriya.
“Midoriya is right! This is not respectful behavior, we should respect our classmate’s privacy,” Iida said matter-of-factly.
Kaminari replied, “Aw, come on you guys are no fun! It’s harmless, anyway! If it really is someone in our class, we were bound to find out! It’s inevitable!”
You grab the phone from him and said, “Wow, Kaminari, I didn’t know you had the vocabulary capacity for the word inevitable! Now, let me see this...”
Lo and behold, your messages were shown on the screen under the name ‘dumbass’. You tried to analyze the situation and how you could use this small sliver of anonymity to your advantage. You concluded that just trying to play off the situation would be the best thing to do-
“Woah, woah, woah. What’s that as Bakugo’s wallpaper?” said Mina as she slowly grabbed the phone from your hands.
Right then, a horror scene played out right in front of your eyes. As everyone was standing crowded around the phone (whether they agreed with peering through your boyfriend’s phone or not), they were looking at the brightly-lit device in the pink girl’s hands and she deleted the notifications to show his very-telling wallpaper… you could say there was a slight miscalculation in your plan as you failed to notice earlier that his wallpaper was the two of you... making out.
You couldn’t bear to look at what was on his phone as everyone let out their gasps. It was too embarrassing, everyone seeing such an intimate moment on your boyfriend’s phone. Bakugo had taken that picture on a whim one night when you two were having one of your movie nights. When he did that, you were shocked because there was no way that Bakugo took pictures of himself ever. Honestly, you were shocked to see that he knew how to take a selfie. Nonetheless, you peeked through your fingers at the phone in Mina’s hand just for a bit.
To your surprise, he set the wallpaper to LIVE MODE. Live mode...... Everyone was watching you guys make out in action like it was a fucking movie.
That motherfucker...
The silence of realization was then disrupted as the girls let out their squeals and the whole class was causing a commotion while the boys high-fived each other as if they won a competition or something. Everyone was up and moving, a strong contrast from them mere minutes ago when they were lounging around on the couch and floor. Sero was shaking your shoulders as you covered your face in your hands. Your face was heating up from all the embarrassment and you couldn’t bear to look at any of your classmates after what they just witnessed.
You didn’t know what to think. Half of you were completely embarrassed that your friends just saw you in an embarrassing scenario and half of you were angry at Bakugo because this was all his fault! Who the fuck puts such an intimate moment as their wallpaper?! Why not something cute? And of course, it had to be a live photo…
You finally peered through your hands again to see the scene in front of you. Mina was laughing so hard on the couch that she was on the verge of tears.
“I CAN’T BREATHE! NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS WOULD I EVER EXPECT THIS SHIT!” she cried.
Most of the boys were still jumping up and down like some monkeys due to the sheer excitement and energy in the room. Uraraka walked up to you and smiled widely while placing her hands firmly on your shoulders.
“Wow! Who would’ve thought that you and Bakugo were a thing! I honestly didn’t see that coming… sorry that we all had to find out that way. I was a little too absorbed in the excitement to consider how you felt,” said the round-faced girl.
With your face still red, you said, “Don’t worry about it… it was bound to happen soon enough, right? Although, now I’m a little embarrassed, but I guess I’m kind of relieved that I don’t have to put much effort into hiding our relationship anymore.”
Yaoyorozu chimed in, “Honestly, this is more entertaining than the movie we were just watching!”
You laughed along with the other girls who were nearby. On the other side of the room, the boys were making a train throughout the room and singing.
“Uh, y/n,” interrupted Asui, “Look.”
The man-of-the-hour walked in the room with his hands in his pockets with his usual grumpy expression. He stopped to examine the room and stared quietly at the energetic group of boys.
He scoffed, “What are you nerds doing? Why aren’t you guys watching the fucking movie, huh?”
He looked around the room until his eyes met yours and you quickly looked away, which caught his attention. Your mind was racing a mile a minute trying to think of an excuse. Your gaze averted to the ground, but you could hear his footsteps heading your way.
“Since when did your socks suddenly get so interesting that you can’t look me in the eyes?” teased Bakugo.
He brought his hand up to your chin and lifted your face to meet his gaze. His playful smirk instantly dropped once he saw your expression. Your eyes were borderline teary and seemed lost, like a sad puppy.
He whispered so that only you could hear, “Baby… what’s up?”
You wanted to give in to his touch at that very moment and run into his arms, but you resisted because you knew that it would be too selfish given how you just broke your guys’ agreement. You didn’t deserve to be in his embrace right now, he was seconds away from finding out that your guys’ secret came out accidentally all because you sent a random text. You pulled your face away from his grip and moved away from him.
“W-wait, what-” he started.
“HEYYYYYYYYYYY, BAKUBRO!” said Kaminari and he wrapped an arm around him (much to Bakugo’s dismay), “How come you didn’t tell your buddies that you had a soft side to you, huh?”
Bakugo grunted, “What the fuck are you going on about?”
Kirishima chimed, “You know, you shouldn’t leave your phone out in the open like that… it makes you vulnerable!”
Still confused he said, ”Did worms get in your brains? We’ve been only one day off from school and you start lacking common sense?”
To his surprise, you walk up with his phone in your hand while keeping eye contact, unlike earlier.
“Sherlock, I thought you would’ve connected the dots by now,” you sighed, with a tinge of sadness behind it, “Your wallpaper… really?”
You hold up the phone up to his face and his reaction was almost humorous to you. His eyes widened and his face was painted with a light tint of pink.
For the first time in your life, you witnessed your boyfriend at a loss for words. The rest of your class watched the whole interaction and some restrained laughs were let out and they were all back to square one, laughing like maniacs. You were about to join in and laugh with them when you realized again what the situation at hand was. You were scared of how Bakugo would react since this would be the first rift in your relationship and you didn’t want to have a genuine argument with him, especially with how angry he could get. Suddenly, you felt a pair of hands grasp yours and you look up to see your boyfriend smiling at you.
“I-”
Before you could say a single word, he hauls you on his shoulder, and you yelp in surprise. You don’t know how you ended up in this position, but now you’re dangling off of him and now you’re staring at the ground. (Also, his face was dangerously close to your ass, but you didn’t mention it.) He starts walking away and away from the commotion towards his dorm room. Before you can protest, he leans his head on your body causing you to freeze up. You could feel his warmth from his body heat against your shirt.
“You know… I’m not mad at you. I could never be mad at you,” he says quietly.
Your brain took time to process that sentence… was Bakugo actually not mad? Most importantly, who knew such sweet words could come out of his mouth? You couldn’t help but breathe out a sigh of relief and you relaxed a bit.
Wanting to tease him, you said, “Sorry, you were too quiet. Could you repeat that again?”
He groaned, “I said… I’m not mad at you, I could never be.”
You giggled, “I know. I heard you the first time, but I thought my ears were deceiving me… Katsuki Bakugo is saying something nice for once? Whatttt…”
He shook you a little, “Forget it. You didn’t hear anything.”
Raising yourself a little, you patted your boyfriend on the head, “Nope. Remembering that phrase forever and ever.”
“Whatever.”
You smiled, “Whatever!”

Cable Shocks
⤷ pairing - denki kaminari x reader

Denki Kaminari was a giver.
He gave his help, he gave his laughter, he gave his love, and recently, he was beginning to give himself, too.
It started off innocently: he showed the Class 1-A students his party trick- look at that, he can charge phones! After that, the others had regularly come to him in need of their devices being charged, or electricity constantly pumped into something that only he could provide. And Denki, being a giver, well, he never said no.
It didn’t matter to him that it would make him short circuit, it didn’t matter to him that they would laugh, it didn’t even matter to him that all he could taste every evening was acid.
Denki Kaminari was a giver, and he was prepared to give his life.
Your class common room was never empty. At any given time, there was always at least two of your classmates in there- no exceptions. If you wanted to make tea in the early morning, Iida and Yaoyorozu would greet you with beaming grins unbecoming of such an unnatural time. Alternatively, if you wanted to cry at 3 AM, you would lay your eyes on Tokoyami and Jirou plunged into the darkness, leaving you to wonder whether they were just acting off or if they were summoning a demon to curse those who have wronged them.
At this moment, Denki was sat on the centre sofa, three cables stuck between his teeth. Beside him sat Mina, eagerly chatting to Kirishima who sat opposite to her on a plush chair with Sero lounged over the arm of it. The three looked content, but you couldn’t help but notice the stiffness at which Denki was disposed, concentration knotting his brows as he worked on keeping the sparks flowing through the wires.
You slipped into the room, deciding on the space on the other side of Denki. The other occupants of the room gave you a quick hello before returning to their previous conversations. With the exception of Denki, obviously, who seemingly forgot his task the moment he heard your name mentioned. His eyes sparkled once he saw you, his head turning to the side as he opened his mouth to speak.
“Hey, Kaminari, you’re dropping the wires!” Sero snickered, eyeing up the way Denki looked down in alarm.
“Only 27%? Come on, I need more than that!” Mina whined, shoving the cables back into the spooked boy’s mouth. He looked at you apologetically, attempting to convey something with wild gestures that you couldn’t begin to comprehend. You laughed, patting the top of his head to quell his struggles.
“Don’t worry about it. Let’s just chill, yeah?” He paused, dropping his hands to his lap and nodding. You grinned, bumping your shoulder against his before pulling your phone out. Denki squinted at the object, as if it had personally offended him. Grinning, you shook your head.
“Fully charged. Don’t worry your pretty little head about it.” His expression softened, cheeks glowing a slight pink at your words. You shifted slightly to get more comfortable, ending up slumped against Denki’s side, who in return leaned into you.
“And so basically, I told him he was nuts, right?” The careless ramblings of Mina was enough to get you to relax, scrolling aimlessly through your friend’s Instagram posts. Ochako had posted a weirdly aesthetic picture of mochi, Midoriya had posted a picture of Ochako, Iida was posting about cyber-bullying, the works.
Being in physical contact with Denki while he was in charging mode, you noticed, made your hair float up like static electricity. You didn’t mind this, taking to flattening down your hair every once in a while during your relaxation. It was easy to let go with your classmates- the gentle lull of the voices of the others mixed with the pleasant buzz of Denki’s skin against yours made for a comforting experience that almost made you fall asleep.
“Hey dunce face!” Denki jumped at the sound of Bakugo’s voice, his elbow jutting into your side and forcing you to tense up. He didn’t seem to notice your subtle glare, however, as his attention was focused on the other boy that had slammed open the door (not that Bakugo seemed entirely angry today, but it was just his natural disposition that made every action of his aggressive).
“H-Hey bro! What’s up?” Bakugo didn’t respond to Kirishima’s words, further ignoring the similar muffled greeting that Denki managed to let out.
“I need this charged,” he grumbled, moving to Denki and shoving a fourth wire in his mouth. You frowned, eyeing up the two boys wearily. The screens of the current phones flashed, an indication that he wasn’t putting in enough charge. He gulped as Bakugo stomped back out the room, his eyes squeezing shut as he amped up the electricity.
As if a switch had been flipped, Denki’s blonde locks frizzed up before succinctly falling back down to his head. You stared at him, eyes widened as the wires dropped to the ground.
“Wheeeee!” His body fell into you, thumbs sticking out with a goofy smile painted onto his face. A small smile pushed passed your lips as you grabbed a pillow and placed it under his head just as he fell off your shoulder and into your lap.
“Oh my god! He’s buzzed out!” Mina cackled, grabbing her phone to snap a couple of photos as the others laughed.
“I love the guy, but my god is he dumb.” You bit your lip at Sero’s grin, angling Denki’s head away from the camera and raking your hands through his hair. His arms wrapped around your waist, pulling his face into your stomach as he rambled about something to do with being okay. It was hard to understand him in this state.
“Come on guys, not cool.” You mumbled, using your sleeve to wipe away a bit of drool on Denki’s chin.
“Ah, cheer up (Y/N)! He does this all the time- it doesn’t matter!” Kirishima’s words made a pit coil in your stomach, nausea prickling your throat.
“It doesn’t matter. Leave him alone.” Mina rolled her eyes.
“God, it’s not a big deal. It’s his own fault, anyway.” You couldn’t help the annoyance that fuelled the glare in your eyes, but you pushed it down with a harder bite to the inside of your cheek. There was the burst of something metallic that tinged your tongue, but you ignored it.
“Come on, Denki. Let’s go,” said boy didn’t seem to recognise your words until you propped him up so you could stand up before pulling him off the sofa. Seemingly slightly resigned by your actions, Mina dropped her phone into her lap, looking away. This didn’t stop the other two from laughing, however, the volume of their cackles only increasing as Denki fell into your back.
With a groan, you shoved your shoulder into the door to open it and letting Denki clamber through. You painstakingly led him into his dorm room, redirecting him away from every wall he tried to run into and each piece of furniture he rammed into his abdomen. Your phone was blowing up with notifications, but you elected to ignore that as you made sure he didn’t hit his head as he fell onto his bed.
You wrote him a quick note and stuck it on his door, turning around to make one last check that he wasn’t going to kill himself the moment you stepped out the door.
Come find me when you’re back to normal.
“(Y/N)…” he whined, hands reaching out for you as he rolled onto his side, eyes sparkling once he saw you. You sighed, moving to brush a strand of his hair behind his ear.
“I’ll see you later, yeah?” It didn’t seem like he quite understood what you said, but the compliant nod and shining smile was enough to convince you he would be okay.

TapeMan: nah, (Y/N) got im
You didn’t see Denki for the rest of the day.
When you stirred from your sleep, it was still dark. You felt a warmth building below your skin that spurred you to strip of your blanket, allowing it to fall into a crumpled heap onto the floor before creeping out the room. In the dead silence of the night, each one of your footfalls sounded like a bang to a drum.
The common room was empty that night. You squinted through the darkness, feeling your way to the sink to pour yourself a glass of water. You stilled in the quiet for a moment, letting the movement settle as you took a sip. There was always a sort of ringing once it got quiet enough, a small reminder that despite the fact you were alone in the dark, there was still something going on.
Click.
At the end of the hall, a light turned on, the orange glow a stark contrast from the deep shadows that plagued the area. You heard a quiet shuffling, before a muffled gagging sound rang out.
Eyes widening, you rushed as quietly as you could down the hall, nearly crashing into the door as you shoved your way into the bathroom.
Hunched over the sink, chest racking with coughs and gags was Denki, his eyes teary as they struggled to focus on you. A dark substance, almost completely black if it were not for the slightest translucency, dripped from his parted lips and into the basin, clashing against the pure white marble.
You clapped a hand to your mouth, willing down the tears that welled in your eyes.
“Denki… what?” You choked out, voice hoarse from the dryness that stung your throat. Denki attempted to push himself up, hands trembling and knuckles white as he gripped the side of the countertop.
“(Y/N)…” his voice shook as he reached up to wipe his mouth, taking a step back from you in a vain bid to pass you and leave. You quickly snapped the door shut, no longer caring whether you woke anyone up.
Click.
Denki weakly chuckled at the look on your face. The lock. He closed himself into the corner of the room, pressing his back against the wall.
“Look, I’m fine-“ He was cut off by himself, lurching back over the sink and coughing up more of the liquid.
“What is that?” You questioned, silent horror pinching your features. He turned on the tap, filling his hands with water and washing out his mouth. Darting to the toilet- and struggling to move in such closed quarters- you balled up a handful of toilet paper and wiped his mouth. He leaned into your touch, skin emanating heat and covered by a thin sheen of sweat.
“Battery acid.” You felt your knees go weak.
“What?”
“It’s battery acid. The more I overuse my quirk, the more likely this stuff is to accumulate in my throat,” he looked away from your piercing gaze, “it’s okay, really.”
“What part of this is okay?” You spat, voice wavering. Denki winced at your tone, turning to washing his mouth out with more water, “Does it hurt?” He paused, and that was all the confirmation he needed.
The two of you stood in silence for a moment, only the sound of running water interspersed the atmosphere. You reached over and turned it off, not acknowledging the shrill screech of the metal as you levelled Denki with an even stare.
“It’s from the charging.” He muttered, and your knuckles clenched.
“Of-fucking-course.” He cringed, a clammy palm feebly gripping your forearm. His eyes were desperate, frown twisting his expression into something you couldn’t bear to look at.
“Please, (Y/N), it’s okay,” he begged, a tear slipping out of his eye just at the same time you felt one trail down your cheek.
“It’s not okay, Denki. How long has this been happening?” He fell silent, and you could feel the anxiety coiling in the pit of your stomach.
“Four months.” In a split-second decision, you lunged forward, wrapping your arms around his neck and pushing your body into his. He nestled his face into your neck, hands coming to rest on your hips. Seemingly unable to keep it together any long, he crumbled, chest stuttering with every breath and his tears soaking the skin that was exposed by your nightshirt.
The silence of midnight began to creep in once again, only broken by the soft whimpers and sobs of the boy practically clutching onto you. You waited as long as you needed to until Denki had caught his breath, not counting the minutes yet painfully aware of each one as it passed.
“From now on, if someone asks you to charge anything, you say no, okay?” Denki frowned, rubbing away the tears in his eyes.
“I-“
“From now on, if someone asks you to charge anything, you say no, got it?” You spat, voice much firmer and tone a lot more sharp. He gulped, resigning to nodding with a sullen expression on his face.
“Are you good to go back to sleep? Or is there anything I need to do first?”
“It’s fine. You can go back now, don’t stay up for any longer.”
“I will do what I want, thanks.” you seethed, eyes glinting. Denki looked taken aback, glancing over your expression wearily.
“Uh…” “I am not going back to sleep unless you’re coming with me. You’re such an idiot-” you paused, “-but you’re my idiot, and there’s no way I’m letting the others treat you like this,“ you cupped his face, fingers pressing into pink cheeks as you angled his face to look at you, “if they want anything else from you, they have to go through me first.” Agape, he only nodded again, allowing you to grab his hand and pull him out the room.
Once he flicked the light off, the two of you were awash in darkness once again, but this seemed not to deter you. Rather, you traipsed across the corridor with a ridiculous amount of determination, only narrowly avoiding the various obstructions in the shadows.
“Here, let me light-“ Despite the little he could see, Denki could practically feel your burning glare. Bringing his hand down, he murmured an apology, musing in your little nod of satisfaction he could feel the motions of.
It only took you a few minutes to get to your room, pushing him inside and closing the door behind you. In spite of everything, Denki could feel heat rushing to his cheeks for an entirely different reason than his fever.
“(Y/N)?” He squeaked, hearing you fumble around the room yet not finding courage to stay anything but completely frozen.
“Yeah?” You questioned, voice low but feeling remarkably pleasant to his ears.
“This isn’t my room.”
“I know.”
“So why am I here?”
“Because I’m not leaving you alone. Come on, I’ve got the spare pillow.”
Denki currently didn’t have the energy to feel shame about the sparks excitement that welled up inside of him as he rushed to the sound of you getting on your bed. You held the blanket up for him, and he all but fell down next to you. The pounding of his heart was almost enough to distract him from the acrid burning of his throat.
You were warm, almost too warm as he shifted to be closer to you. Now that his eyes were getting adjusted, he could make out the expression on your face, eyebrows knotted in concern and eyes scanning all over him, as if searching for some sort of answer that he could only long to give you.
“I’m sorry.” He said it as if it meant anything. If it counted, he truly was. Denki didn’t want to make you worry- he wasn’t worth it. But that’s what you did. He would give too much, and you would worry tenfold.
It didn’t help that his eyes were still stinging and red-rimmed, or every once in a while a dry cough would tickle his throat. It didn’t help that he would wince every time he had to swallow, or that his palms were still clammy and he had to try to subtly wipe them on his shorts. It didn’t help that the pain almost became too much to handle, and he loved you too much to even lie about it.
He loved you- of course he did. How could he not? It was you. You, who stared at him with such adoration, even though he knew you were pissed off. You, who stood up for him even to his friends. You, who worried for him the first time he was buzzed out, and a thousand times later, still stayed with him and ran your fingers through his hair when he was barely conscious.
He watched your eyes strain to stay open, to keep watching him as he was watching you. Finally, they fluttered shut, your breathing evening out as you shuffled closer to him.
You, who got up in the middle of the night to protect him from himself.
He tucked your head under his chin, wrapping his arms around you waist with a gentle sigh. Under the cover of darkness, he confessed this. His words fell on deaf ears, but he couldn’t find it in him to care.
You, who, unlike anyone else, was determined to make him stop giving.
He couldn’t help but fall asleep, the sound of your soft breathing and the gentle rise and fall of your chest like a lullaby willing his eyes to close, comforted by the presence of your figure cuddled to his chest.
Denki Kaminari was a giver. And if there was anyone worth giving anything, it was you.
Extra:
Bakugo was not expecting to start his day in a chokehold.
It had started off innocently, Denki was playing a game on his phone, smug grin on his face, you were napping next to him, and the other losers he called his friends were on the sofas, eyes wide and backs straight. Sure, you could say he questioned the strange way his friends were acting, but he didn’t particularly care.
“Pikabitch, I need my phone-“
Bakugo prided himself on his quick instincts, but you were quicker.
In a second, your arm was wrapped around his throat, face dark and pressure increasing through his gasps.
“Say one more fucking word and you’re dead.” You growled, Bakugo’s fingers gripping your arm in a vain attempt to release himself from your hold, “Got it?” The blonde just managed to nod, coughing out once your arm withdrew from his neck. You settled back in your place beside Denki, sending him another sharp glare before returning to your nap.
Bakugo could only stare wide eyed, not quite sure what happened. All he could gather was that Denki was now off limits, and the others seemed to realise that too, if them cringing was anything to go by. With a gulp, he stormed out the common room.
Now he had to go get his charger.

ignoring them for 24 hours ✧ hc
you ignore your boys for 24 hours. or, at least, you try to.
genre: fluff
requested: yes! i added todoroki just cause
as perceptive as he is
izuku probably notices immediately how you’re avoiding him
you two wake up at similar times because you go to sleep at similar times, but this time you woke up before him
he gave you a sweet “good morning” and kissed your cheek, but you only smiled and went to the bathroom
he thought that was strange. you usually say good morning back
but then again, it was such a small thing that he didnt really overreact over it
however, when you left his dorm without saying goodbye or anything like that he got a little worried
once classes were beginning, he went to your dorm to pick you up and walk you to class like usual but
you were already gone.
“what the...” he would murmur to himself, frowning now
what was up with you? were you ignoring him or something?
what even annoyed him further was that you spent the whole day with fucking bakusquad!
bakugo didn’t seem to like it of course, but kirishima and the others accepted your company like it was nothing
he tried to sit next to you at lunch but once bakugo noticed his presence, he immediately yelled at the green haired boy to “fucking beat it!”
“but i-“
“WHAT DID I JUST SAY?!”
the fact that you didn’t even come to his defense kind of hurt him
he didn’t even eat at lunch
he was so bummed out that he just poked at his food with a frown on his face
of course you noticed this. you had been watching him all day and it broke your heart to see your baby like this omg ㅠㅠ
you couldn’t do it anymore. you got up and sat next to him at lunch and you swear he shined brighter than the sun when he saw you
“y/n! i-you-“
“i was trying to praaank you,” you pouted. “but you looked so upset after what that bomb bitch said-i couldn’t do it anymore.”
his pout matched yours.
“don’t do that again... i was seriously worried!”
he makes you stay by him for the rest of the day 😭
ignoring him for 24 hours challenge: failed.
y/n only lasted 5-6 hours.
todoroki literally doesn’t notice at all
he doesn’t talk much, and seeing that you don’t talk to him much in the morning doesn’t really bother him
he just assumed you were tired and didn’t really care
you two usually got coffee together in the morning but as he went to the common room to wait for you, he was a bit peeved that you didn’t show up
he just assumed you fell asleep or something, or maybe you weren’t in the mood
not gonna lie, he was already missing your presence but he wouldn’t push you to interact with him if you weren’t in the mood
when he goes to class though, he sees you laughing and smiling with the rest of dekusquad
having a good time, apparently
he sits with you guys and listens, and his brows furrowed when he heard you say
“i wish i would’ve gotten coffee this morning. really wanted some mocha.”
...?
did you forget that you two got coffee literally every morning?
okay, whatever. something was definitely wrong with you but he wouldn’t push.
you two also sit together during lunch but you sat between tsu and izuku instead
he’s like
what. the fuck.
he stares at you for the entirety of lunch time 😭
he doesn’t even mean to, he’s just so confused?
like why are you ignoring him? you guys didn’t fight or anything last night so ?? why??
the day continues like that
whenever he comes around you leave, whenever he talks you look away from him
he’s a mixture of irritated and annoyed
irritated bc he doesn’t know why you’re acting this way, and annoyed because he wants to fucking talk to you
you’re one of the only people in this class he talks to on a daily basis and you’re pushing him away??
he only says something when it’s kind of late and everyone is tucked away in their dorms
he has a key to your dorm room don’t ask why so he goes ahead and enters
you’re on your bed, giggling about how well the prank is going to mina when you hear the doorknob jiggle and your boyfriend enter the room
“shoto!”
“we need to talk, y/n.”
you make a face. “actually, i-“
“y/n.”
the sternness in his voice makes you look up at him, kinda scared at just how serious he looks
“you’ve been ignoring me all day. why? did i do something?”
“i—“
“if i did, please tell me. communication is important in every relationship and our relationship is very special. if you do not talk to me, i have no way of knowing what i did to hurt you and-“
“shoto! oh my god, it was just a prank!” you tell him quickly, standing up and holding out your arms.
he lowkey makes a 🤨 face.
“a prank...?”
“yeah. ignore your boyfriend for 24 hours prank,” you sigh. “i was so close.”
he sighs with you, walking over to hug you tightly, which feels so good after today.
“it’s a very stupid prank.”
you giggle against his chest.
“yeah. very stupid.”
ignoring him for 24 hours challenge: failed.
y/n only lasted 18 hours.
another one that notices immediately
you went the extra mile as to leave his dorm way earlier than he wakes up, which-
how tf did you do that
he automatically doesn’t fucking like that.
“y/n?!” he’ll yell out into his bathroom and grumble when you aren’t in there, or anywhere else in his room
he doesn’t even see you until class starts, sitting and laughing with fucking dekusquad
not only that, with midoriya
“hey dumbass, why’d you leave my dorm so early today?!” he asks you, and your eyes don’t even meet his.
you just continue scribbling at your desk.
his eyes turn white.
“i’m talking to you!”
“bakugo, please go have a seat. you’re being incredibly too loud.” aizawa would tell him, slipping his face out of his yellow sleeping bag.
he looks at his teacher, then at you, then back at his teacher before cursing and marching to his desk
probably always glancing at you through the day
the fact that you’re smiling and laughing with fucking deku
that just makes his mood even worse
you’re supposed to be smiling and laughing with him, not that crybaby
obviously his friends notice how mad he is
“dude, why so pent up?” kirishima would ask him and bakugo would literally snark
the red head smirks. “oooh—its y/n isn’t it.”
bakugo pauses.
“how the fuck did you know-“
“you know she’s pranking you, right?” kirishima would laugh at the look of anger that crosses bakugo’s face.
you’re ignoring him for a... a...
a PRANK?!
he’s livid.
during training he will not hesitate to march up to you
“you think it’s funny to ignore your boyfriend for a stupid prank, huh?! you think that’s so funny don’t you?!”
“bakugo, i-“
“SILENCEEEE!” he’ll literally roar at you and blast you like 10 feet away 😭
cue him being your partner and beating you up for practice
ignoring him for 24 hours challenge: failed.
y/n only lasted 5 hours.
kirishima understands the concept of “personal space”
he knows that sometimes, you don’t wanna be bothered
and sometimes, he doesn’t wanna be bothered
but sometimes he doesn’t care about that concept.
he will poke and pester at you if you do this challenge.
if you wake up and don’t say anything to him, he’ll yank you down to the bed and whine at you until you manage to squirm out of his arms and go to your own dorm room
he’ll stand right next to you during breakfast
and i mean he will always be standing next to you.
no matter how many times you move around the tables, he’ll somehow end up next to you
like ?? does he have super speed or something 😭
he will not tolerate you ignoring him
like not at all
during class if he cracks a few jokes and you don’t respond to them he’ll probably fake cry
“y/n, you’re making me feel very unmanly right now!”
you swear you didn’t know it would be this hard
he probably notices it’s a prank though when he’s walking next to you in the halls and you’re not even speaking to him, just staring forward
“ahh... you’re trying to play a little joke on me or something? well, we’ll see how long you keep that up!”
retorts to making you jealous the entire day.
hangs out with literally every girl, even the fucking invisible bitch
you can’t take it anymore when it nears 6pm and he asks uraraka to come back to his dorm and watch movies with him
being the amazing girlfriend you are, you get up, land in his lap, and cuddle up to him tightly
he grins at you, preppering you with kisses
“told you you wouldn’t last, y/n.”
ignoring your boyfriend for 24 hours challenge: failed.
y/n only lasted 11 hours.

Second Choice || Katsuki Bakugou x Reader, Izuku Midoriya x Reader
Masterlist
Pairings: Katsuki Bakugou x Reader, and Izuku Midoriya x Reader
Requested by @loxbbg : Hiiiii I was wondering if you can do Izuku x reader x Bakugou where izuku loves reader and Uraraka and reader is tired of being his second choice and pulls herself out of the equation only to see Katsuki was the person for her and she explores that years later Deku tries to ask her out since Uraraka left him and Katsuki steps in telling him he can’t manipulate her or something like that thank youuu!!
Summary: Izuku likes both you and Uraraka, but you’re always the second choice, so after removing yourself from the equation, you fall for Bakugou. But years later, Izuku wants you back.
Word Count: 2.8k
A/n: Thanks for requesting! I tried my best to write this, and I hope I did okay. Anyways, I hope you enjoy this! -Danielle <3
“Thanks, Izuku,” you said, smiling, “I had fun tonight.” You and Izuku were standing in front of his house as you pulled his hoodie tighter around your shoulders. The two of you just got back from a walk on the beach, after spending the day in the park.
“Yeah, I had fun too,” Izuku responded, blushing a bit. You noticed the way his eyes looked to your lips, before looking right back up at your eyes, even if it was only for a few seconds.
“Hey Izuku?” You asked, “Can I kiss you?”
“You wanna what!?” He exclaimed, surprised by your sudden statement, causing him to turn red.
“If you don’t want to-”
“I didn’t say that!” He exclaimed quickly, before calming down a bit, “I’m fine with it.” You smiled, and leaned forward, cupping his cheek, before kissing him. When you pulled away, you both had big smiles on your faces.
“I should probably get inside, before my parents kill me for breaking curfew,” you said, smiling, “See you tomorrow, Zuku.”
“See you tomorrow,” Izuku said, smiling and watching as you walked up the steps and into your house.
You walked into class, smiling, excited to see Izuku today after what happened last night. You opened the door and walked in, looking for the familiar green haired boy. Finally, you spotted him, over by Uraraka’s desk, blushing really bad.
“Finally!” Mina exclaimed, “It took you forever!”
“Took who and what forever?” You asked, approaching the small group of people surrounding Uraraka and Izuku.
“For Uraraka to confess to Deku! We’ve been waiting for this forever, and he even said he likes her back,” Mina explained, but she noticed your face fall at her words, “Hey, why do you look so upset?” You ignored her and tried to hold in your tears as Izuku looked at you. His face immediately fell at the look on your face, because you looked like you were seconds away from sobbing. Mina and a few others noticed as well, so Mina spoke again, “Y/n?”
You didn’t say anything, and instead ran out. You heard a few calls of your name, and suddenly you ran straight into somebody.
“Watch where you’re going, dumbass!” Bakugou yelled, causing you to look at him with your tear filled eyes. You were now letting the tears flow, not bothering to hold them back. Bakugou was taken back by this, “Woah, hey, what the fuck is wrong? Why are you crying?”
“No reason,” you replied, fake laughing and wiping a tear, “I’m just being dramatic.”
“I don’t feel like playing any games, so just go ahead and tell me,” Bakugou said, crossing his arms.
“It’s dumb, I mean why did I even think he would like me back? It’s not like I’m anything special,” you said.
“What the hell are you talking about? Who doesn’t like you back?” Bakugou asked, furrowing his brows.
“Deku,” you replied, making eye contact with him for the first time since he noticed you were crying.
“I’m going to kill that fucking nerd,” Bakugou said, going to move past you, to which you pushed him back.
“No, wait, it’s fine, don’t do anything to Deku. I’ll be fine,” you said, trying to hold back your sobs so you could say what you needed to say, “Just go to class. Tell Aizawa I’m not feeling well.”
You didn’t wait for a response, and walked past him and continued going back home. That day, you ignored all the worried calls and texts from all your friends, wondering what was wrong, but a particular one caught your eye.
Zuku <3: please, y/n, just meet me on the beach where we were last night, I need to talk to you
With a sigh, you wiped the tears from your face and slipped on one of your own hoodies. You made sure to grab Izuku’s hoodie on your way out, to give back to him.
You left and went towards the beach. When you got there, you saw Izuku was already there waiting, sitting in the sand, playing on his phone. Izuku hadn’t expected you to come, so when you approached him and he heard you, he jumped, before realizing it was you.
“Y/n,” he said, quickly standing up. He noticed your tear stained cheeks, puffy red eyes, and even your messy hair.
“What do you want to say to me?” You asked, trying not to cry again.
“I just wanted to apologize. Look, Y/n, I’m really sorry, I didn’t-”
“No, you’re not,” you replied, raising your voice a little, “If you were sorry, you wouldn’t have kissed me and then admitted to liking Uraraka the next day. You don’t care about me, and it’s obvious that you never have.”
“But I do!” He exclaimed, “I just.. I just like Ochaco more.”
“Of course, you do,” you replied, letting out a fake laugh, “Leave it to dumb old me to assume that anybody could love me more than her.”
“Wait, Y/n, I-”
“Here take your hoodie back,” you said, tossing it into his arms, “I don’t want it.” You turned and went to walk away, but Izuku stopped you, grabbing your shoulder.
“Wait, Y/n.” He tried, but you roughly pushed your shoulder back and forced his hand off of it.
“Goodbye Midoriya,” you said, walking away, leaving Izuku alone on the beach. When you got back to your room, you broke down again, and eventually you cried yourself to sleep.
The next morning, you were awoken by your alarm. Once you rubbed away the sleep from your eyes, you could see that you had so many notifications.
3 missed calls and 4 texts from Ochaco 5 missed calls and 10 texts from Mina
Along with a bunch of other missed calls and texts from other members of the class, but once again, one caught your eye. A text and missed call from somebody who you had never thought would text you unless he absolutely had to.
Bakugou: He’s a fucking idiot, don’t let him get to you
After removing all of the notifications, you got up, wiping your eyes and beginning to get ready for the day. You were aware you looked a wreck as you walked into the classroom but at this point you really didn’t care. You walked in the room, and past Izuku, who had tried speaking with you, to sit at your desk. A few people tried talking to you, but after being ignored, they gave up. Ochaco came up and apologized, and she surprisingly sounded like she was actually sorry, so you accepted her apology and told her to just go and be happy with Izuku.
The rest of the day up until lunch, you attended all your classes, trying your best to avoid Izuku or any of his friends altogether. During lunch, instead of going to sit with Izuku, like you normally did, you went to go sit by yourself somewhere, but a voice stopped you.
“Hey! L/n!” Kirishima yelled, gaining your attention, “Come sit with us!” You gave him a small smile and walked over, sitting in between him and Mina. Sero, Kaminari, and Bakugou were also sitting at the table.
“Thanks,” you said, causing Kirishima to smile.
“No problem,” he replied, and went back to talking with Sero about something. You spent the rest of lunch with them, only really talking when one of them asked you a question, or said something to you. Bakugou was the one who spoke with you the most, and every time he did, you thought back to the message he sent you.
Finally, lunch was over, but Kirishima stopped you before you got up and left, to ask a question.
“Do you want to hang out with us after school? We’re going to the arcade,” Kirishima said, looking at you with hopeful eyes.
“I don’t know,” you replied.
“Oh, well, we’re going to be there at like four, so if you’re coming, just text me so we can wait for you,” Kirishima explained, and you nodded.
“Okay, I might come. Thanks,” you said, giving him a small smile, before walking past him and to your next class. After the day was over, you went home and looked to the clock. You had managed to avoid Izuku for the rest of the day, despite him trying to speak with you multiple times. You continued to look at the clock, thinking about if you wanted to meet up with Kirishima and his friends at the arcade or not. You weren’t in the best mood, but it might take your mind off of things.
So, you took out your phone and sent him a quick text, letting him know that you were going to be coming. Then, you changed out of your uniform and into something more comfortable. You looked in the mirror and tried to look a little more presentable than you did throughout the school day. Eventually, you grabbed some money, and your phone, before leaving the house and making your way to the arcade.
When you got there, you opened the door, and entered. You looked around for a moment, before spotting Bakugou, Kirishima, Kaminari, and Mina standing a little ways away from the entrance, talking.
“Hey guys,” you said, approaching them.
“Hey Y/n,” Mina said, smiling at you. She still kind of felt bad for being the one to break the news to you yesterday, even though she didn’t do anything wrong.
“Alright, what are we doing first?” Kirishima asked, looking around at all his friends. They each said something different, so Kirishima turned to you, “What do you wanna do?”
“I really don’t care,” you said, with a shrug.
“Why don’t you go with Bakugou?” Kirishima asked, gesturing to the blonde, who was standing off to the side, crossing his arms and leaning up against the wall.
“Sure,” you said, as Bakugou stood straight up, uncrossing his arms.
“Come on, dumbass,” Bakugou said, making you follow him towards whatever game he wanted to play. You two spent a couple hours playing different games, before you all met back up in front of the arcade. Kirishima had to go home and eat dinner, and so did Mina and Kaminari, leaving you and Bakugou all alone.
“Well, I should probably-”
“Do you wanna get something to eat?” Bakugou asked, startling you.
“W-what?”
“Are you deaf? I asked if you wanted to get something to eat,” Bakugou repeated.
“Oh, uh, I guess, if you want to,” you said.
“Alright, let’s go,” Bakugou said, forcing you to follow him towards a pretty popular fast food restaurant in town. You two got in line and ordered at the counter, before sitting down at a table and waiting for your order number to be called.
“Why did you ask me to get food with you?” You asked, looking around.
“What? Am I not allowed to want to eat food with you?” Bakugou asked.
“Well, no, I mean, you are, but why just me? You didn’t offer for any of the others to get dinner with you, so why me?” You asked.
“Fine,” he said, rolling his eyes, “I like you, a lot. And I wanted to tell you.”
“You,” you said, trying to process it, “Like me?”
“Don’t make me say it twice,” he replied, crossing his arms.
“Oh,” you said, “I-”
“You don’t have to answer right away,” Bakugou said, “I know you’re upset because that damn nerd broke your heart, but once you get over him, maybe we can work something out.”
“Maybe,” you replied, giving him a small smile.
It had been a whole five years since that occurred. Katsuki and you started dating a few months after he confessed, and you had been happy ever since. You two were now engaged, and you couldn’t be happier. Everything was going perfect, until you heard a knock on the door and you opened it to be met with a certain green haired, pro hero, Deku.
“Deku,” you said, “It’s been a while.”
“Yeah,” he said, giving you a small smile, “Can I come in? I wanted to speak with you about something.”
“Oh, uh, sure,” you said, moving aside and allowing him to come in, “Come on, we can sit in the living room.” Izuku nodded, and followed you into the room, where he sat down on the couch.
“What kind of-” Bakugou cut himself off, as he stepped into the room. He had a different type of seasoning in each hand, “Deku.”
“Hey Kacchan, what are you doing here?” Izuku asked, causing you and Bakugou to give each other a look. How did Izuku not know that you two were together? Literally, everybody knew. Bakugou was about to tell him, but you spoke to him.
“Both,” you said, referring to the bottles of seasoning in his hands. Bakugou decided to leave you and Izuku alone, but he gave the hero one last glare for good measure, before stepping back into the kitchen.
“Alright, now, what did you need?” You asked, giving Izuku a small smile. You had managed to avoid him for the rest of your time at U.A., and even as a pro hero you managed to not have to work with him, so you were wondering what he was doing here when you made it clear that you never wanted to see him again.
“I’ve really missed you,” Izuku said, catching you by surprise. You weren’t sure what you were expecting him to say but it definitely wasn’t that.
“Uh, I guess I’ve missed you too,” you replied, even though it wasn’t really true. Sure, you missed him in the first few months since you had stopped talking to him, but after that, you barely even thought about him.
“Look, Y/n, I sort of regret what happened when we were at U.A. You know, when I confessed to Uraraka after we kissed. And I want to know if you wanna try again,” Izuku explained.
“You mean try again as in, be friends, right?” You asked, hoping he wasn’t suggesting what you thought he was.
“No, I mean in a romantic way,” Izuku said.
“If you really think she’s going to say yes, then you’re dumber than you look,” Bakugou said, crossing his arms.
“Kacchan, this is a private-”
“It stopped being private the second you tried to get my fiance to give you a second chance,” Bakugou said, “And don’t tell me you didn’t know, because literally everybody knows. Now, you have about one minute to get the hell out of my house before I blow your ass up.”
“I’m not leaving. What makes you think she likes you more than she likes me?” Izuku asked, crossing his arms.
“Are you fucking serious? You actually think that she still likes you after what you did to her?” Bakugou asked, “You know, I-”
“Wait,” you said, causing both men to stop glaring at each other and look at you, “Katsuki’s right, Izuku. I stopped liking you after you did that to me, and I’m not going to start liking you again.”
“But, I-”
“No, you’ve said what you needed to say, get out,” you said, standing up, “Now.”
“Y/n, wait-”
“Are you fucking deaf? She said to get the fuck out!” Bakugou yelled.
“Fine,” Izuku said, standing up and walking out. You and Katsuki followed him and watched as he opened the front door and stepped out. He looked at you with teary eyes, and he almost said something but you interrupted him.
“Goodbye Midoriya,” you said, slamming the door in his face, and then turning to Katsuki, who looked the most pissed you’ve ever seen him, “Well, that was a fun activity for a Saturday night.”
“No, it was not,” Katsuki replied, “Are you good?”
“Why wouldn’t I be good?” You asked.
“Just checking,” he replied, “You used to like Deku, just making sure you’re alright.”
“I stopped liking him five years ago,” you replied, “Trust me, I’m over him.”
“You better be,” Katsuki replied, causing you to give him a kiss.
“I am, now, do you want help with dinner?” You asked, causing Katsuki’s eyes to go wide.
“Shit,” he said, rushing over to the kitchen, “Great, it fucking burnt. All because of that damn nerd.”
“Calm down, we’ll just get take out. How about pizza?” You asked, picking up your phone, and going through your contacts.
“Sure,” Bakugou replied, throwing out the burnt food, before going back to the living room and sitting on the couch. You joined him after ordering the food. You cuddled into his side as he turned the T.V. on.
“I love you,” you said.
“More than Deku?” Katsuki asked, even though he already knew the answer.
“Yes, Katsuki, more than Deku.”

“I Love You” (MHA Boys)
A/N: Here is a wonderful break from the horror genre I usually write. Enjoy!
Prompt: The first time they say they love you
Characters: Some of class 1A and some extras!
━━━━━━━━┓ * ┏━━━━━━━━
Aoyama Yuga: As silly as it may sound, the moment he laid eyes on you he knew you were made for him. After months of him trying to win your heart over, you finally caved and began dating. It wasn’t until you were at the mall trying clothes on for a school dance that he confessed. In the middle of the food court, surrounded by many people, he shouted his undying love for you. “My (Y/N)! My sweet, delicate flower; the light of my life, I love you.” Aoyama was a flashy guy, therefore, he had to be flashy when it came to this, even if it meant you being embarrassed.
Bakugo Katsuki: You’d been right beside him just a second ago and now you were being held hostage; pressed against the blade of a villain who stood behind you. You gave your lover a look that told him to leave but you knew he wouldn’t, not until he had you safe in his arms. Calling his name, his eyes found yours and his heart sank. “I love you.” He whispered so quietly, the villain asked him to speak up. “Don’t hurt her!” Bakugo barked back. Thankfully, in the end, you found his arms safe and sound and returned those three words he never thought he’d hear.
Iida Tenya: Despite his uptight personality in the classroom, Iida’s personality shifted when he was alone with you. The moment he knew he loved you was when he woke up with you in his arms. You were pulled tight against his large frame, sleeping soundly in the morning light. His eyes adjusted to the brightness of the room before he kissed your forehead softly, watching your eyes flutter open. You looked up at him and he smiled, pressing his lips to yours for a split second, “I love you.”
Kaminari Denki: In every drunk statement, there lies the truth. Denki was far from sober and it looked as though half of his buddies were all drunk as well. The karaoke night was something the boys all did every month to catch up on life after UA. Tonight, they had invited some of the girls and Denki’s long time love; you. All it took was for you to move some hair from his eyes while he not-so-noticeably stared at you, and the words tumbled from his lips. “I’ve always loved you, y’know.” It took you by surprise but he was startled when you blushed and said it back.
Kirishima Eijiro: A villain attack had happened so fast, no one was prepared. Kirishima did his best to keep you at his side but at one point you both got separated. When he managed to find you again, he stopped running towards you and his heart sped up. With wide eyes, he watched you body slam one of the villains into the ground, using your quirk to knock them unconscious. “I love you.” He said suddenly, surprising himself and you. Turning to face him, you flashed him a smile and said it back.
Sero Hanta: The arcade lights were beautiful against your skin as you waited in line for laser tag. Sero did his best to brag about how good he was at this but you simply ignored him. Having dated for a while, Sero thought he knew everything about you; but nothing could prepare him for the ass-beating he got when you won the game. You had tackled him from behind, shooting at his vest and smiling down at him. He stared up at you with absolute love and pride in his eyes and heart, “I love you so much.” He grinned, watching you blush before quietly saying it back. “But I will win in the rematch.” He still lost.
Shoji Mezo: It was during the holidays when he realized that he loved you. He took you out one night to the middle of town to watch the tree be lit up. The soft smile on your lips as you drank your hot chocolate made his chest tighten. Shoji didn’t even realize the lights had been turned on until you looked up at him. The gleam in your eyes and the way you smiled at him made his heart ache with so much adoration. “I love you.” He said bashfully, watching your eyes widen in surprise before taking his hand in yours and saying those three little words back.
Todoroki Shoto: The boy was so nervous he thought he’d dig a hole and put himself in it. It was the first time you were meeting his mother and the boy felt sick to his stomach at the thought of her hating you. However, all of those thoughts vanished when he came back from the restroom and saw the two of you laughing. His heart calmed and a small smile graced his lips knowing that you two got along really well. “I love her.” He told his mom, watching your eyes widen slightly before you smiled and responded. His mother one hundred percent approves.
Tokoyami Fumikage: Nothing but the sound of rain could be heard from inside the empty library. You volunteered there and often saw the hero, thus growing a relationship that went from friendly to romantic. It was a gloomy day that prevented everyone from stopping by to return or check out books; except Tokoyami. You sat together in the gothic literature section, his voice carrying out the sentences of the book you were both looking at when all of a sudden he stopped. “(Y/N), if I may, I need to tell you something.” He about gave you a heart attack but he continued, “I do believe that I have fallen in love with you.”
Shinso Hitoshi: He didn’t really want to go to another party that Denki had thrown, but you practically dragged him along anyway. Thankfully, the party consisted of about twenty people and it was pretty laid back, much to his liking. Shinso was busy staring into his cup that most defiantly did not have alcohol in it, when you came up to him. Denki was the king of beer pong, until you showed up and beat him, five times in a row. Shinso couldn’t help but chuckle watching Denki grow irritated that his streak was broken and the purple haired male walked up to you and kissed your head whispering in your ear, “Have I ever told you how much I love you?”
Inasa Yoarashi: The restaurant was too fancy for your liking but you were glad that you got to see Inasa and have a nice, relaxing dinner. You noticed that he had been very quiet during the meal and when you asked him about it, he caved. He took your hands in his from across the table and said your name in a way that you thought he was about to break up with you. “I’ve been waiting for the right time to tell you this; I love you.” He said with a blush on his face. You let out a sigh of relief and smiled at him, returning the phrase. The rest of the dinner was loud on his part, his nerves finally leaving and his usual self returning.
Mirio Togata: You sat by his side, tending to his wounds and not saying a word. You didn’t know what you could say to him that would make him feel better; he’d lost everything. Nighteye, his quirk; you could feel the depressed aura that was floating around him and it hurt you to see him like this. When the festival rolled around, Eri stuck to his like glue and you were happy to see his smiling face again, knowing that he sill carried hope. At one point, he grabbed your hand and faced you, “Thank you for staying with me through all this and not giving up on me. I really do love you, (Y/N).” You blushed at his words and let him kiss you.

first kiss!
w/ deku, denki, bakugo
deku🥦 a/n : n/n= nickname
deku had always respected you and your choices since the beginning of your relationship.
it had only been about a month since you started dating, and he never did anything without getting permission first.
he made sure to look at you questionably with his palm turned upward when wanting to hold your hand.
or waiting with his arms out for you to hug him instead of going in himself.
he just really liked you and never wanted you to feel uncomfortable in the relationship.
but as the months went on and you two began to get a little closer, he couldn’t help but want to do more things with you.
he found himself staring at your lips as you talked way too many times.
resisting the urge to just dive in and place his mouth against yours at that moment.
but he would never instigate it unless he was sure you wanted to as well.
please! give him the hint!
anyways, it was friday.
you and izuku were just chilling in his dorm after a few hours of intense studying. you guys wanted to get all your school work done so you didn’t have to do anything over the weekend.
it was a pretty boring night, and you guys ended up watching a weird pro-wrestling match that just happened to be on the t.v.
“this is so fake.” you giggle, watching the exaggerated movements of the wrestlers. “there’s no way that hurt.”
“i know right. imagine if they went against anyone in our class. they’d be blown to bits!” izuku agrees
“i can’t believe people actually watch this.”
“you’re watching it. aren’t you?”
you side eye your boyfriend at his remark, and silently nudge his shoulder. “i’m right though. you seem interested too.” he teases.
“i’m only watching cause you put it on.” you poke his stomach a few times and he drawls back. “hey! no tickling!” he says, but goes to reach for the space between your shoulder and neck.
you scream, and cover your mouth so no one could hear you outside of the dorm. “please izu! stop it!” you laugh
“what was that n/n? cant hear you over all that giggling.”
“i’m sorry! i’m sorry!” you yell, and after a few seconds, he stops the absolute torture to your neck, and you both fall onto the bed, catching your breaths.
izuku stares at you with a smile, breathing heavily.
he places a hand on your cheek, not really thinking about his actions. you pause, and follow his hand, turning your head towards him.
“you’re so pretty, y/n.”
“thank you. you’re not too bad yourself izuku” you both laugh, staring at each other.
and for a moment, izuku could see your eyes drifting down to his lips.
do something. do something
“y/n, i’ve been meaning to ask you something for a while now. but i didn’t want to make you uncomfortable.” he suddenly says, a light blush forming on his cheeks.
“i doubt anything you’d say could make me uncomfortable. what is it?”
“can i...” he sighed, trying to slow his heart rate. “may i please kiss you?”
your eyes widened, and you laughed a bit. “you don’t have to ask izuku. we’re in a relationship! i’m totally fine with it.” you smiled and he noticeably calmed down. “oh thank god.” he breathes.
the hand on your cheek lingers down to your jaw, and you see him lean in.
with one more questioning look, you nod giving him permission, and he finally presses his lips against yours.
it’s slow and soft. tender and loving as it feels like time goes in slow motion.
after a few seconds, he pulls away, eyes meeting yours in satisfaction. “thank you, n/n.” he says, before leaning in to peck you again.
denki ⚡️
you and denki always had a weird relationship
you both would flirt with each other, make bashful comments and gave each other slight touches every once in a while.
but you guys never talked about what you actually were.
you were just going with the flow, and you both seemed to be fine with that.
but denki really liked you. like a lot. and he never said anything due to the risk of ruining whatever type of relationship you guys had.
being your friend was better than being nothing to you at all.
sometimes he wished he could just drop everything and tell you his feelings for you, but that was nearly impossible to him
it was up to you to actually initiate something.
it was night time at the dorms, and you had just came from the kitchen after grabbing a drink.
you slowly made your way up to your dorm, but paused when you heard your so-called friend denki’s voice coming from kirishima’s dorm.
“come on guys. you know what we have is nothing serious. why would i mess up a great friendship for some stupid feelings?”
you squinted your eyes, wondering who he was talking about. a slight hope in your heart that it was about you.
“dumbass! y/n clearly likes you too!” you heard bakugo’s voice say, and you nodded harshly in agreement, as if anyone could see you.
“don’t you think we would’ve been i a real relationship by now if they actually did like me?” denki asked, and silence was the only response.
you internally groaned and face palmed your forehead.
how could you be so stupid!?
you liked denki too. you have since you both started talking.
but half of you always thought it was just denki being his usual flirty self. you knew he had a thing for a lot of girls in your class in the past, you didn’t think you were any different.
and you definitely didn’t come up with the idea that he may have wanted to be in a relationship.
what you had just heard shocked you, to say the least. and you made a mental note to talk about it with denki soon.
you were about to walk away from the door when it opened, revealing denki and baguko about to walk out.
all three of you froze, and you see the red haired kirishima on his bed pop his head up from behind the other two boys.
“the hell are you doing here?” bakugo asked gruffly. “just...getting a drink.” you held up your glass of water that was starting to precipitate on the sides.
“h-how much of that did you hear?” denki hesitantly asked.
“enough.” you looked down, embarrassed that you had been caught eavesdropping.
denki stepped in front of bakugo, closer to you, “look y/n i know you probably don’t feel the same. i should’ve told you about my feelings the day we started talking. it’s okay if you don’t want to be friends anymore. i know i made this awkward.”
your eyes widened at denki’s statement and you raised your hand without the cup, shaking it in disagreement. “what no!” you said, making all three boys look at you confused.
“denki...i like you too.” you said, looking up to meet his eyes. “i never told you because i thought you didn’t want anything serious, which is stupid. i should’ve known you weren’t that type of person. i can’t believe i thought you’d break my heart-“
your rant was cut off when you felt a pair of lips crash into yours.
the bright yellow hair that dangled in front of your face let you know it was the boy you had been crushing on for years now.
you closed your eyes, falling into the kiss.
it was kind of quick and a spur of the moment type thing, and when he pulled back, you both were panting.
“you have to idea how long i’ve wanted to do that.” denki said as his thumb swiped across your bottom lip.
“you losers! go get a room!” bakugo yelled from behind denki.
“glady.” the electric boy said with a grin, grabbing you hand and pulling you down the hallways
bakugo 💥
you and bakugo’s relationship was always on the slower paced side.
him being emotionally unattached most of his life and being hard at physical touch made for a lot of long and drawn out first times.
he didn’t hug you until about four weeks after you started dating, when you had come back from a long mission with the hero you were interning
and he never held your hand for more than a minute. he always claimed that it was because his hands were sweaty, but you always noticed how his cheeks turned red anytime you tried to cuddle up next to him.
you knew it was hard for him to be vulnerable around someone, even the people he cared about.
so you respected his decision and didn’t push him into doing anything he didn’t want to.
if that meant no cuddles until you were 4 months into the relationship, then that was the price you’d have to pay.
by the time you reached a half year in your relationship, the most you got from bakugo was a quick peck on your forehead. and that’s if he was being generous.
you always wandered when he would just go right for the bag, and place a fat smooch on your more than ready lips.
ugh. that’ll be the day.
speaking of...
it was the middle of the week. lunchtime.
you were in line, getting a school lunch for yourself because you were too lazy to make it that morning.
while you were waiting in line, whistling to yourself, you heard a familiar and almost menacing voice come from behind you.
“y/n!? is that you? ugh what a grand surprise!” monoma said with his hands held high.
“hello monoma.” you greeted tiredly.
“rumor has it, you and a particular boom boom boy seem to be a thing now.” he says.
“we’ve been a thing for a while monoma.”
“well i couldn’t tell, being the way he rarely interacts with you during the day.”
you rolled your eyes at the comment. sure, monoma was being dramatic as always, but you couldn’t help but feel the truth seeping through his words.
“that’s none of your business monoma.”
“awww did i strike a nerve y/n? i sincerely apologize. although...this might have been a wake up call for you, don’t you think?” he asked disgustingly sweet.
you were about to respond when you heard your boyfriend’s voice come from behind you. “shouldn’t you be with class B you weak, annoying little vermin?” he yelled before looking down at you. “this idiot messing with you babe?”
your eyes widened at the pet name he usually refused to call you, but you were even more surprise when bakugo gripped you chin and turned it so you faced him.
you didn’t have a chance to think before his lips was against yours, his tongue quickly sliding against your bottom lip before he pulled away, pulling on your lip with his teeth for an extra umph.
when you both separated, he looked at monoma with a smug smirk, causing the embarrassed boy to run back to his class.
you still weren’t able to find words as bakugo looked at you again. “that was fun y/n. i should do it more often.”
bakugo you sly dog ;) anyways, all your comments or requests would be greatly appreciated here! ->🥀
and if you happen to reblog, plz give credit. have a good day/night my loves!

I Hate it Here
Masterlist
We Were Kids | Next
Moving you into Katsuki’s apartment across town took mere minutes, but everyday you spent there felt like years that you’d never get back. Everything felt too big and nostalgic, and the only thing grounding you to keep you from a panic attack, was Ryu being himself despite being pulled from school and transitioning to home school. He was just happy to be around his father all the time, immediately bombarding him with questions about his day the moment that he stepped through the door.
It wasn’t news that Katsuki wasn’t fond of comforting people, and the thought of him begging for forgiveness was laughable — but that brick wall you put up the moment you stepped through his threshold for the second time was driving him insane. When he was around, you were somewhere else in the house on the phone, or on the laptop you purchased and had shipped to his home as soon as possible. On the rare occasion he did see you for more than a few seconds, you looked drained of life. . and scared.
You were tough even when you two were young — the constant picking at you being quirkless might have made you think he thought otherwise, and he wondered if that contributed to your hardened shell now — but there was the rare occasion when something would break through your tough skin.
And it was always your father that did it.
Katsuki practiced his jabs that he tried out in training with Kirishima on the air, trying to make sure every moment was precise to recreate the amount of damage he dealt everytime. You had tagged along after phoning him and asking what he was doing, receiving the usual ‘I’m training and don’t give a shit if you come or not’ that you always took as a very hostile ‘yes’.
Usually, you’d make small noises of approval as he trained, and after yelling about you messing up his concentration but only getting a tongue stuck out at him in response, he had grown use to your annoying presence. Which is why he stole glances at you today when you were completely silent, and he found himself curious about why you didn’t even look at him as he trained. Bakugou was more aware of your every moment than you’d ever know, and he wanted it to stay that way, so he continued to only steal glances instead of confronting you.
“My dad didn’t tell me happy birthday.” There it was. The moment you’d break the silence and spill your guts to him with no coaxing needed from him.
That’s what drove him crazy about you; how you adapted to his pride and made being there for you so easy.
“He had Jun give me my necklace and money when I woke up, and I asked her if he made any plans to see me today. . She said he’s a busy man and I need to grow up. . Am I asking for too much?”
You looked up at him with every ounce of insecurity on full display, the kind of look he hated seeing on your face more than he hated seeing you in those stupid get-ups your mom bought you. Even he had said happy birthday to you, granted it was though text and there was no gift with it, but at least he had the decency to listen when you said that all you wanted was to hear two simple words from the people you cared about. It pissed Katsuki off even more that he knew you told your dad that’s all you wanted, and it didn’t take a genius to know that he didn’t do it on purpose. Now Katsuki had to be the one to pick up your broken pieces.
“Idiot, it’s not your fault that your old man is trash.” He grunted, turning away from you to stare at nothing so he didn’t have to see that stupid sparkle in your eyes when he said something nice.
That damn sparkle made his heart squeeze.
He was relieved to hear your soft laughter, “I guess you’re right. He’s better at bribing people than caring for them.”
If only he could tell you how true those words were.
“Shit.” Katsuki mumbled under his breathe, the realization of what was happening hitting him like a brick.
That day he went to your office, he hadn’t been there just to get a look at what you had accomplished, and the reason he got so riled up by your secretary was more than just being told he couldn’t see you. He had gotten a tip from Tokoyami that morning about a yakuza organization that was deeply involved in many missing people cases, and also suspects for the assasination of small business companies that were expected to outgrow large corporations.
That organization had your picture on the wall, along with pictures of those who were missing, and ones who had not gone missing but were on police watch due to the likelihood of them being taken next. Katsuki chalked it up to you being seen with him when he was a target for many villains due to his success in taking down and capturing villains with ease, and he let the most obvious point go over his head. He had just immediately wen to go see you to calm his nerves, not even second guessing his own answer that tied this back to the one man he had his own hit on.
The organization that had you targeted, acted under powerful businessmen in Japan. .
Your father was one of those powerful businessmen.
‘It all comes full fucking circle,’ Katsuki thought angrily as he picked up his office phone, knowing that he had to get his least favorite heroes on the case.
“I’m not asking you to take sides, I’m asking you to tell me the truth!” You hissed into the phone, and you could feel every ounce of your patience draining from your body and your tone.
It had been three days. Three days since you moved in with the father of your child, three days of feeling anxious and livid, and three days of trying to get in contact with your mother. For once, you could say that the least of your worries was Katsuki, and now it happened to be the life of your child again. You weren’t stupid — the moment Katsuki mentioned your safety specifically being threatened you knew who had put the hit out on you, and he wanted you to know.
It was your father’s way of warning you that if you even thought of exposing that you were his daughter that ‘went missing’,or tell them what he had done, you and Ryu will never know peace again. The knowledge that you were in his sights again and he still was just as ruthless as ever couldn’t even fully register in your brain, but you knew you had to do something. This was your baby’s life that was in danger again, and this time he isn’t living inside of you so you could have him with you at all times. You didn’t even know how to have this conversation with Katsuki when he didn’t even have the decency to tell you there was someone after your son while he sat in school. In fact, you were doing your best to avoid his presence so you didn’t cause a scene and scare Ryu half to death.
And your mother had the fucking ability to help you, and she decided this was the time to wave the white flag to involving herself in you and your father’s war.
“This isn’t something that I can tell you and your father not disown me too for, Y/N! Do you really expect me to risk my life too?” Your mother responded, and your grip on the phone tightened so much that you weren’t sure how much longer you’d have before it shattered.
“Yes! I expect you to risk your life for me, mom! I expect you to be a mother for just one damn moment in your life to save your grandson! If you can’t tell me what he knows and what you’ve told him, this will not only get ugly for him, but for you too!” You threatened with full intention of making it a reality.
“I can-“ as she spoke you heard a male voice in the background that made your heart sink to the bottom of your stomach before the phone went dead.
You paced the floor with a hand over your mouth to keep from screaming with Ryu napping in the other room, but this situation could only be fully resolved with risks being taken. The company you put blood sweat and tears into — you had long since realized you never wanted to start an entire company, but it was the best thing you knew how to do to make money to give your son the life he deserved — was going to have to be put in jeopardy. Your life, and more importantly your son’s life, would be in immediate danger once you decide to wage this war.
It’s father against daughter, and loser loses everything.
“You were really going to go through this again alone? You really piss me off sometimes.”
You whirled around to the door of the guest bedroom you were in to see not only Katsuki, but Eiji also standing there. It didn’t shock you in the slightest how pissed Katsuki looked, but Kirishima’s deathly stare had you frozen in place. Even though you knew in the back of your mind that their anger was towards your father, you couldn’t help but feel weak when two very famous pro heroes had their murderous gazes on full display for you.
“You don’t have to worry,” Kirishima said and flashed you a hardened arm. “No one is going to touch you or Ryu on my watch.”
Katsuki grunted, “I’ll kill anyone that tries.”
(A\N: So who’s ready to see full on angst, romance, and a badass reader? Cause I am ^_^! Also the amount of love and insight you guys give me on this story is insane and I still can’t than you enough 🥺 I hope you enjoy! <3

Can you do Kiri, Iida, Izuku, and Bakugo with a s/o who goes deaf from a concussion received during a fight or even training. (I lost my hearing and I haven't seen much done for deaf readers. Thank you so much if you do respond hun.)
Severe Silence
Words can’t describe how I feel for you honey, Trust me, you’re not alone. I’ve always had hearing issues since I was born and they’re stating I may or may not lose my hearing in the future which hurts because music is my life and I can’t see myself without it. I hope this makes your day and if you need to talk, I’m always here.
Disclaimer: Slight Gore, Abuse and Acts Of Violence
————————————————————————————————————————
Eijiro Kirishima
* He remembers the whole accident that day because he was the one who carried you to the infirmary.
* It was training to see how you’d withstand during a earthquake and you were one of the following that was instructed to stand in a building.
* Aizawa wasn’t too keen on it but you insisted that you wanted a challenge.
* When the ground started to shake, wood, chunks of cement started tumbling down. You had your practice dummy to your back, running towards the safe exit with Ochacko and Shoji following close behind.
* Apart from the training, a ding would be heard when there’s another victim close by, you guys had the majority of them. Even though the earthquake ended, parts were still falling.
* You handed your dummy off and went off to find another one, and never returned.
* You were eventually sent to the hospital even though Recovery Girl healed you.
* You weren’t heard of for a while which worried your Sharky lover.
* During a free period, Baku-Squad including Deku, Momo, and Ochacko comes over to visit you.
* You were home alone and when you opened the door to see your friends, you couldn’t help but burst into tears because you couldn’t hear their excited voices to see that you’re fine.
* I do see Kirishima as the type to pull out his phone and ask you if you were okay through the notes app.
* You tell them back when you were grabbing the last dummy, you tripped and slammed your head into a large block of cement.
* Being the amazing boyfriend he is, he’s going to learn every possible way to speak to you.
* To sign language to even speaking as slow as he possibly can.
* He’s willing to do everything to make everything easier for you and to keep that gorgeous smile on your face.
* He knows how hard it is to lose something that you’re so used to having and it pains him to see you a tad bit depressed because you can’t hear him anymore.
* Just know he’s going to do anything that would seem impossible to help you through every step.
* This includes training, If you always relied on your ears he’ll help you try to find another way to smell a villain near you.
* He’s going to encourage you to keep going towards your dream and never give up.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Izuku Midoriya
* His feet never ran so fast when you were found unconscious.
* During your first internship, You and Izuku were attempting to save Eri that day. Everyone was soon separated.
* When it seemed that it wasn’t going to be well, you sent him to go get Eri while you fought the villains with others.
* The mission was a success but came with painful consequences, You fought with a villain who was a tad bit advanced for you. You fought with all your might while the building warped and swirled.
* The last thing you could remember was the villain's backup appearing behind you and attacking you as everything became black.
* Luckily, One of the pro-heroes rushed over and defended you while their sidekicks quickly took you towards the medic.
* When Deku first found out, not even caring if he was injured or not. He wanted to see you. He wanted to make sure you were okay.
* It took him a while to see you and when he did, he was ecstatic to see you awake and responsive.
* He called your name but..you never responded, which confused him. He had to touch your shoulder, nearly giving you a heart attack as he asked what’s wrong and you just stared.
* Then, he knew..something was wrong.
* Upon finding this out, Izuku being the great and amazing guy he is will also take many precautions to learn to speak to you.
* His sign language is a tad bit rusty and sucks a bit, but give him a chance. He’s trying.
* In each conversation you two have, he’ll always make sure he’s speaking slow and you’re able to see his lips move.
* If he can’t speak or wearing a mask, he’ll either text you or type his words through his phone for you.
* He’s going to tell you that you should keep going on your fight to be a hero.
* Izuku will train with you and see if you two could discover a different method that you could use during battles.
* He will never give up on you and will always help you with your dreams.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Katsuki Bakugo
* Everything happened so fast that even HE couldn’t keep up.
* One minute, You were kicking ass, destroying every villain in your way.
* Even though the attack was extremely random and with the permission from the teachers to fight these villains who interfere with your training for the fifth time in a span of a few years.
* Hell, you had your hero’s license so you had the right to kick their asses.
* You stood up, cracking your neck and fists before punching another villain back to the ground.
* Katsuki saw the purple blur flash past him as a large Nomu appeared to your turned back.
* Before he could even react, his body ran you over. His corrupted face looked down at what he did as Bakugo’s anger boiled over the surface. He grabbed the villain he was originally fighting and launched him into the Nomo before blasting them with his explosion as hard as he possibly could.
* No one hurts you. No one.
* It took Kirishima, Denki, Izuku, and lastly, a time-limited All Might to get him off the Nomo who he SURPRISINGLY knocked out.
* Once he could relax, he walks to your dorm. When he knocks and you don’t answer, it makes him worried.
* He won’t kick the door down..but..knock it off the hinges and discovers you crying on the bed.
* All the banging, knocking he did and you didn’t react while he was standing in front of him, his heart instantly knew that damn Nomu did something to you.
* He already knew sign language, there’s no lie in that.
* He knows it because his quirk has nearly made him deaf at times and it was told that he’d lose it before he would have a chance to be a hero.
* After the attack, he’s always by your side. He corrects people who try to talk to you and demands that they use sign language or their phones. He hates when others talk fast to you as well.
* He’s like this because he wants to help you in every way he can.
* If you decide to be a hero, despite his warnings. He’s going to help you as much as he can. He’ll ask for help from hero’s who has the same disability as yours if not, he’s going to make a method of teaching you with your other senses.
* He may teach you how to use your sight more, smell, or touch to their full potential.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Iida Tenya
* It honestly hurts him every time he thinks about it, It shouldn’t have been that.
* He was supposed to protect you but he was separated from everyone else. You were with one of the members of Wild Wild Pussycats when Dabi attacked with his crew.
* You and Ragdoll were walking back after discussing your training in the morning when everything became extremely terrifying for you two.
* You and Ragdoll fought your best, almost moving in sync with each other Magne knew how to just send you flying into a tree each time.
* He created a negative force between you and Ragdoll when sent you two flying apart at a harsh force as you went flying into the woods and collided with a huge bolder.
* Blood dripped from your head as Ragdoll’s scream came to your ears while you reached out to help. Your knees touched the marshy land while your hand shook, pain rushing through your body.
* When the message came through, you passed out.
* Tetsutetsu and Itsuka discovered you and carried your body to safety away from all the chaos.
* When it was discovered that you were among the ones injured along with two missing individuals, It sent chills down his spine.
* Since you two just started dating and he was sure you and your parents wanted to spend time with each other, he wouldn’t come to see you in the hospital.
* It takes him over two weeks and when Aizawa needed someone to take his homework to your home. He immediately offered himself because he’s been dying to see you again.
* A jump, kick, and step later, he appeared at your door. You were checking the mail as he called out to you from a few feet away.
* You didn’t notice him and walked towards your home, not noticing his presence yet.
* He was taken back by your casualness while you walked to the door until he saw the hearing aid in your ear.
* That’s when he knows now why you didn’t react and just watches you walk away.
* One thing I do admire about this man, he’ll do anything when it comes to you. While he’s taking his brother to the physical therapy sessions for him.
* He’s learning every single possible way to talk to you. I mean every way.
* As strange as this may sound, he loves signing into your hand even though you’re not blind.
* It’s close contact and he adores that with you. For example, private things or him simply saying he loves you, he’ll sign it into your hand while everything else is out to the open.
* He often recommends to others and his friends that they speak slower with you so you can comprehend or try not to speak all at once.
* If you wish to continue your path to being a hero, he’s going to support you but he can’t help but constantly worry.
* The last time he let you go, you became deaf and he doesn’t want anything else to ever happen to you again. He wants to be your knight in white amour but he knows how you like to be independent too.
* Just don’t give this man a heart attack, please.
Fatgum x F!reader "What a Hero SHOULD do"
Whew.
You guys.
I've been gone a long while, life has been a rollercoaster, but I don't really wanna get into all that noise. Just happy to be in a good place right now.
That said, this was painful to write because I had planned the ending very differently...
I'm not officially in the bnha/mha fandom but, I just got into it recently and wanted to show some love to my favorite Pro!
Hope you guys like it!
I haven't written anything in a while, so please go easy on me...
_____________
(WARNING! Mild angst)
"Hey, Fat...can I ask you something kinda personal...?"
Fatgum glanced down at his young intern with an eyebrow raised, tilting his head in curiosity. "Huh? Oh, sure. What's on yer mind?" he gave an encouraging grin to put Kirishima at ease. The red head craned his neck to look up at his boss, his own mouth twisted into a small frown.
"Have you asked _______ on a date yet...?"
He stumbled a bit but keeps walking, caught off guard by the question, a slight blush rising to his cheeks. "Woah, where did that come from?!" he asked in return with a nervous chuckle. "Well..." Kirishima continued "You guys seem really close. The way you look at her when you see her-"
"Hahaha!" the burst of anxious laughter interrupted and Red Riot looked up at Fatgum again in confusion. "You're reading too deep into it, man! We're just friends! Heh..." Toyomitsu tried to act casually, but it wasn't working at all.
Kirishima pouted a bit, deciding to push a little harder.
"...but, I think she has feelings for you, too-" the blonde stopped walking and stared down at him, his blush growing darker and spreading across the bridge of his nose, cutting him off again. "Okay, let's change the topic, huh? Maybe we should go somewhere else for lunch..."
Eyes widening a bit, Red Riot raised both hands defensively and shook his head. "No, no! I'm sorry...I won't mention it again..." his expression became one of defeat and disappointment, shoulders slumping as he continued to walk, staring down at the sidewalk.
With an inward wince, Toyomitsu followed close behind, his own gaze dropping to the ground as well. Silence passed between the Pro and his sidekick for several minutes before Fatgum spoke up again.
"Honestly, she deserves better..." he mumbled.
This was a surprise to Kiri, his mentor was always inspirationally self-confident, it was disheartening to hear such a comment from the man he so deeply admired. He opened his mouth to argue, but stopped himself when he remembered that he had already promised to drop the subject.
He felt bad for bringing it up now.
_______ was a sweet lady, she was funny and friendly, vivacious and beautiful, generous, tough and a fantastic cook. All Kirishima wanted was to see them both happy together. When they spotted each other through the window of the diner, their eyes lit up, a smile instantly formed on their lips, they would practically start glowing.
She always ran to jump into his arms, hugging around his neck, never failing to say how she missed him. He caught her every time, hiding his face in her hair as he hugged her back and would say he had missed her too, but especially her cooking!
If that isn't true love, Kiri thought, then what is...?
They finally made it to the diner and stopped outside. Fatgum looked through the window, and when he didn't see ______ anywhere, glanced at Red Riot again with a frown. "Listen, can I count on you to keep that little conversation between us? I don't want ______ to know how I feel..."
"You're not sick, are you??" a soft voice piped up from beside Toyomitsu.
It made both of them jump, startled. Fatgum whipped his head around to see ______ standing there, instead of her pretty smile, her face was flooded with worry at the thought of her Hero being ill or injured.
The Pro forced a crooked grin as the blush returned to his cheeks. "N-no, no, I'm fine! How's it goin'...?" he stuttered weakly.
She was clearly not convinced, the concern in her bright (e/c) eyes only deepened. "C'mon...all this time we've known each other, you think I can't tell when something's bothering you...?" he started to panic a bit but Red Riot swooped in to save the day like the rising star he was.
"Aw, he just had a big breakfast, that's all...he doesn't wanna hurt your feelings if he can't finish lunch." Kirishima answered casually with a lightly teasing undertone, arms crossing over his chest. She looked from him up at Fatgum who responded to her questioning expression with a sheepish grin and shrug.
At this, her smile bloomed in place, eyes twinkling mischievously as she playfully elbowed his broad, squishy belly. "Oh, c'mon! When have you ever left here without takeout, even after filling up?! As if it matters..." she giggled, hopping up into his arms as always, chin resting on his shoulder as she nuzzled against him sweetly.
"I'm just happy you're okay...I missed you!"
Bending at the waist with his arms extended, the blonde caught her effortlessly when she hopped up for the hug, sighing and closing his eyes as he rises to his full height, squeezing the small girl gently.
"Ahh, I'm fine, I'm fine...I missed you too..."
Kirishima gave a soft smile as he watched the exchange, dropping himself into the patio chair where he always sat when they came to the diner.
When he set her down, ________ smiled from him to his sidekick. "Your food should be done soon. It's a new recipe! I hope you guys like it!" then she waved over her shoulder as she walked back inside. Exhaling softly, Fatgum turned to sit as well. He glanced over at Red Riot, blushing a bit, only for it to get worse when he notices the toothy grin he's being flashed.
"...Oh, knock it off..." the pro grumbles, arms crossing and lowering his eyes to the tabletop.
"I didn't SAY anything...~!" Kirishima taunted childishly, arms folding behind his head as he leans back and closes his own eyes. "You didn't have to, punk." Tai shot back in typical big-bro style, reaching out across the table to muss the teens perfectly sculpted hair. "Aw, quit! It takes 40 minutes to set every morning!"
Fatgum chuckled, eyes rolling.
After some minutes passed, _______ returned with another server, both carrying trays of food which they placed on the table in front of the two heroes. "Wow! It looks so good!" they said simultaneously, earning a laugh from her.
"Well, I hope you like the taste even more. It's a cheeseburger-tater-tot-casserole. Dig in!" wasting no time, Kirishima and Toyomitsu start chowing down, both groaning happily around mouthfuls of the meal and nodding in approval. "Mmm...!" _______ laughed again, giving a thumbs up.
"Glad to hear it! I'll be right back with your drinks."
She left again but came back quickly with two pitchers and a cup, putting them between their plates. "Yer an angel, _____." Fatgum said with a grin, taking one of the pitchers and starting to drink from it. Red Riot snickered quietly before sipping his own drink.
"Oh, I just remembered! Check this out!" she said cheerfully, reaching behind her neck and starting to untie her apron. Upon glancing at her and noticing this, Fatgums eyes grew wide and a dark blush pooled in his cheeks, choking slightly on the ice water. "...?!"
Kiri froze, his eyes getting big as well and blushing slightly.
She dropped the top, revealing...
A tank top. With a picture of a sombrero. It said "If you don't like TACOS, I'm NACHO type"
Red Riot started laughing, covering his eyes with a hand as he tipped back his head. "Cute, right?!" she asked enthusiastically, looking from one to the other. Smiling weakly, Fatgum gave a slow nod. "It's great...really clever..." he wondered if steam would rise off him if he poured the rest of the water down his neck.
"Yeah, I knew I had to have it when I saw it. Anyway," she started to fix her apron again. "I'll let you guys finish eating. Let me know if you need boxes and your takeout oughtta be done before you get done with those. Enjoy!" with that, she walked off.
The blonde watched over his shoulder as she left before sliding his plate out of the way, folding his arms on the table and burying his face in them.
Grinning, Kiri nudged his foot under the table. "DON'T. SAY. A WORD." this reply only got him to laugh again, head shaking as he resumed eating. "Whatever you say, boss..." the red head hummed.
Between them, they were able to clear their dishes, waiting by the front door for the takeout, both content and full of tasty food. "Alright, guys. Here ya go! I'm glad you liked lunch, lemme know when you wanna try it again." Tai smiled down at her when she came out, taking the bags gratefully. "Yeah, definitely. Will do!"
______ hugged Kirishima tightly, pulling him down to place a kiss on his forehead, surprising him and making him blush faintly since she hadn't done it before. "Be safe, young man, you hear me?" she demanded. He answered with a broad smile and a nod. "Gotcha!"
"Ooh, do I get one of those?" Fatgum asked half jokingly, blushing too. Some color rose up on her cheeks as well, giving him a warm smile as she reached up for the BMI hero.
He put down the food to pick her up again for another hug, chuckling softly when she pressed a tender kiss against his cheek. "Aw, that was sweet!" Kirishima called up to them, earning a swift kick to the ass. "Ow! Hey!" the red head complained, rubbing the spot.
He set her down carefully with a deep sigh. She didn't let go of his arms and he looked at her in confusion. "Please be careful out there, Taishiro...I don't know what I'd do if anything happened to you..." he grinned, placing a hand on her head. "I will. I'll be back before ya know it!"
She pressed herself into his tummy, coming nowhere close to being able to wrap her arms around him but she gives him her best hug anyway. The pro didn't have to look at his intern to know he was smirking smugly. He hugged her back before stepping away to grab his bags again. "Well...see ya, _____."
He waved, smiling, then turned so they could head back out. They only took a few steps before Fatgum stopped and glanced back at her over his shoulder.
She was still there, offering another small smile and wave of goodbye.
"C'mon, man! Just go for it! You TOTALLY got this!" Kiri urged desperately. But he was still hesitant. It wasn't an issue of his own self-confidence, but his career. He was so busy that he would hardly have time for you, and the way Toyomitsu saw it, you deserved to be waited on hand-and-foot.
He dreamed about being with you, which meant his worst nightmare would be a villain or criminal using you as leverage against him. It was best to leave things the way they are. It's what he SHOULD do.
A real Hero isn't so selfish as to put their own desires ahead of the safety of those they cherish, he reminded himself. With a heavy heart, he forced a smile to hide the pain and waved back before looking down at the ground and sighing, eyes closing slowly.
"...I just...can't...
Youngblood
Summery: You and Bakugo had just broken up, and you are in pain because of it. Your friends try to make you feel better, but the memories of your relationship haunt you. You didn't know what to do
Notes:Hey guys! I wrote this on the side of my other works. I was listening to Youngblood by 5SOS and was heavily inspired to write this fic. You should listen to it while reading. Or before. Or after. It might be a little f!reader, but I tried to keep in GN
Pairing: Bakugo/Reader
Warnings: Swearing, Drinking, Unhealthy Relationship
You don’t remember how many days it’s been since you and Bakugo broke up. Your heart still hurts every time you look at the photos you’ve taken. The clothes he left at your apartment still smell like him.
The words that were said still stung. You tried not to think about it.
After mopping in your bed, you got up to see one of your favorite photos on your dresser. You went to the beach with Bakugo.
“Katsuki! Quit moving. If I don’t apply it all, you’re going to get sunburnt!”
“Yeah, yeah I know.” He was grumpy. Bakugo didn’t really care for the beach, but he saw how excited you were for the trip, “You sure you want to hang out here?”
“Of course! We can collect seashells, and we can play in the water,” you finish rubbing the sunscreen on his skin. The shade protected you until you ventured out to begin your vacation. Even though he didn’t want to be here, he followed you pretty quickly.
You walked across the shoreline picking up every pretty shell that you saw. You remembered a crab being under one of those shells, and you freaked out, running to Bakugo for protection. He got a smirk on his face, picked up the crab, and began to chase you with it.
“Katsuki, stop it!” You laughed through your panting breath. You knew he wouldn’t really let the crab hurt you, but this is just how he was. One minute he’d be grumpy and unenthusiastic about anything; but with you, it was different. Bakugo was sweet and playful.
He dropped the crab and sprinted. He was faster than you, so he caught up. You were swept off your feet, being held in his arms. You were surprised thus you let out a shriek. It quickly became laughter though.
“That’s not funny, Katsuki,” You hit him on his chest, but he just shook his head.
“Your too cute in your bathing suit for me not to pick you up and cuddle.” You blushed. Though you didn’t know he walked into the ocean until the warm water hit your legs.
By the time you realized, he threw you in.
“Katsuki!” You were playfully mad, and you started to splash water at him.
“This is childish.”
“You’re the one who started it.”
The rest of the day was filled with the same kind of fun and excitement. You ate at so many good restaurants and went to the carnival. He got you a bear to which you said it looked like him. A big ol grumpy bear.
You still had it.
You place the photo back on the dresser, trying to suppress the memory of being with him.
You heard your phone ding, and you saw that it was from Mina.
You still doing ok?
It sucked that she was still in Bakugo’s friend group. So was all of your friends. Even though they would still be friends with him, you didn’t want to lose them.
Yeah, I think so
Well, you want to go out tonight?
Will Bakugo be there?
Of course not! It’ll be just us and everyone else. We just want to cheer you up.
That sounded like fun. It might help you take your mind off of Bakugo. Sending a text back to Mina, you threw your phone on the bed. After a couple of days, you finally took your first shower.
After finally trying to get the depression off of you, you put fresh clothes on yourself. Looking at yourself in the mirror, you saw your eyes were still red and puffy. There wasn’t anything you could do about it, and you fought back tears already. Bakugo would be here to tell you how sexy you looked. It didn’t matter what you wore. He would tell it to you every time.
Rubbing your eyes, you went into the kitchen and finally ate your first healthy meal in a while, reliving your stomach from digesting terrible food.
For once, you started to feel better.
--
You met up with Mina in front of the bar. She waved you down. Walking over to her, you gave her a big hug. It felt like an eternity, but it had only been a few days. You gave small talk, mainly telling her you were alright. It was a half-truth and a half-lie.
Walking in, you saw familiar faces that made you smile: Kirishima, Kaminari, and Sero.
“Hey guys! It’s been a while.”
“Yeah, I know. Long time no see,” Kirishima gave you a comforting hug. Kaminari and Sero gave you a pat on the back. You and Mina sat next to them on their left. You looked over at Kaminari, and he looked panicked, like he was scared the world was about to end.
“Hey Kaminari, you’ve missed me that much? Why do you look like I’m about to bite you?”
“Because you are.” A familiar voice that made your heart drop to your stomach. It was Bakugo that came back from what you presumed the bathroom, “What the hell are you doing here?”
“Kaminari!” Mina shouted also panicked.
“I thought we were meeting up with (y/n) on another night!”
“No, it’s fine. Me and Bakugo can be civil about this.”
“Yeah, fucking right, you’ll just break down and cry. Just like you did at everything else.”
You bite your lip, trying to hold back venomous words. His face made you sick, and you felt like you were about to vomit.
“We can go to another bar!” Mina said trying to save it.
“No, I want to hang out with my friends. It’ll be his fault if we have a bad night.”
“Whatever bitch.” It stung. The Bakugo you knew would never call you that. You guessed people do change.
You both sat back at the bar. It became awkward; no one said anything. The bar tender asked what you wanted.
“A dirty shirley, please.”
“I see you still drink that shitty drink.”
“Why don’t you shut up for once?”
“Guys!” Kirishima interjected this time, “Hey, have you seen that new superhero movie? All Might is such a great character.”
That seemed to steer the conversation away from an argument. You turned to Mina, and the group became segregated. You only talked to her for most of the night, but you could still hear Bakugo’s voice. You missed it so much.
--
“Thank you for bringing me out tonight Mina; I had a good time.” A lie. You wanted to go back to your apartment and just break down in bed again. Going out was a mistake.
“Yeah,” Mina didn’t sound convinced, “hey, why don’t we go shopping tomorrow? Get away from these boys.” She said the last line jokingly, but a part of you didn’t want to leave the boys tonight.
“Sure.”
“Yay, girls day!” Kaminari jokingly said, pretending as if he was going with you.
“Why would you want to go with her?” Bakugo finally pushed you over the edge.
“Why don’t you get your head out of your ass and act normally?”
“I am acting normally. You’re the one who’s too sensitive. Always upset about something.”
“You’re insulting me! You think I’ll take that lying down.”
“You take a lot of stuff lying down.” You saw red when he saw that. You walked over and slapped him across the face.
“Shut the fuck up Bakugo!” He looked at you. You could tell he was more upset about you calling him by his last name. You quickly walked out of the bar with Mina following you. There was someone else following you.
“Why the fuck are you still here?” It was Bakugo, following you into the street, “Why do you have to hang out with my friends? Oh wait, you’re too much of a bitch to make more friends.”
“I don’t know why they’re still friends with you. You’re nothing but a big dick who doesn’t have a single ounce of empathy.”
You turned around to walk away from the bar, wanting to anywhere but there. The tears were already falling down your cheek. Your voice was starting to crack and waver.
“I don’t even know why you’re still here if I hurt you that much.” You stopped at that line and turned around to face Bakugo. His face was softer, “Tell me to fuck off. You want me out of your life”
You couldn’t. You wanted him to be here with you.
“Or tell me you want me back in your life.” You started to breath heavy, unable to get any words out. You didn’t know how to answer.
“Figures,” Bakugo walked away at your lack of response. You crumbled to the ground, squatting down with your head in your hands. Mina was quick to comfort you; the sound of her high heels brought you out of your anxiety attack.
“Come on, let’s get you home,” She said helping you to stand up. She called a taxi and both of you got in.
The tears finally stopped. You were able to see the passing streetlights on the way back to your apartment.
Mina walked up with you and helped you get ready for bed. She tried to find a t-shirt that wasn’t Bakugo’s, but she was having a hard time. Finally, she settled on this shirt you got from high school. It was a little tighter than it used to be, but it was the only thing you could wear.
“Give me a call if anything happens. I’m only a phone call away. I’ll come get you in the morning so we can go to the mall.” Mina leaned down to give you a kiss on the forehead. It was comforting. Bakugo used to do it to you.
She left. For now, she had Bakugo’s spare key to make sure she could check on you.
You rolled around your bed, before you checked your phone. It was apologies from the rest of the group. They thought you would hang out with them another night and should’ve remined Mina. You responded to each of them so they wouldn’t worry about you.
You scrolled down social media and got a dumb idea. You scrolled down Bakugo’s, trying to find something to give you closure. It didn’t. You saw he didn’t even change his relationship status. You knew he didn’t use it much, but it still surprised you that he hasn’t put it to single.
You fell asleep, only to wake up to your phone ring. You must’ve fallen asleep with it in your hands.
It was Bakugo’s number. You’re heart became elated that he called you.
“What do you want?” You said, cursing yourself for sounding a bit to mean.
There was some silence. You could hear people in what sounded like a bar. Bakugo must not have left. You checked the time, seeing that a couple of hours have passed.
“Hello? What do you want?” You asked again, hoping to get a response this time.
“Nothing.” The word was slurred, then the line disconnected.
Your heart deflated. You couldn’t even cry more than you already had that night.
--
You arrived at the mall. Mina tried her hardest to make you happier. She would take you to a store that sold bath bombs, and you bought some that smelt nice. Ones that didn’t remind you of Bakugo.
Eventually, you ended up at one of Mina’s favorite department stores. It was a nice one, where someone was actually playing a piano in the store. Mina picked out some clothes out and dragged you to the dressing room where she promptly went in to try some of the dresses.
“Isn’t this cute?” Mina said coming out of the dressing room with a sundress on. You nodded in agreement. She tried to give you clothes for you to try on, but her efforts were futile.
She noticed that you still weren’t happy. Going back to take the clothes off, she came back out to clasp your hands in hers, “Why don’t we get some ice cream? We can get wine on the way back to your apartment?”
You nodded your head. You felt bad for staying quiet the entire trip to the mall.
You both walked to the food court and wait in line to get some ice cream. Mina was talking to you (or you should say at you).
In a moment, your heart stopped. You saw Bakugo, and you could say what you wanted to say to him. When you turned around, it wasn’t him.
“What’s wrong?”
You shook your head at a worried Mina, “It’s nothing.”
It wasn’t nothing. You kept seeing him in the strangers around you, causing you to feel like you’ve gone crazy.
You both decided to grab the ice cream to go and grab wine in the convenience store by the mall.
You tried to make small talk, but your words felt superficial.
They felt empty once more.
When you got back to the apartment, you both decided to order a pizza, watch shitty chick flicks, and cuddle under a fuzzy blanket. It was comforting.
So was the wine. Mina got a big bottle of it, and you kept drinking glass after glass.
“Hey, shouldn’t you slow down?” Mina’s voice was full of concern. You shrugged your shoulders in response.
“Maybe I should, but it’s nice,” you said. It finally gave you a nice, fuzzy feeling in your core. It was something other than pain.
Eventually it got too much, the pain came back full force, and you became a crying mess. You fell down into Mina’s lap wailing.
“Why doesn’t he want me anymore? Why does he hate me now?” You screamed. Mina just petted your hair, trying to give some comfort, “I want him so bad.”
“I know baby,” she said; her voice was full of concern, “No more wine for you. I should put you to bed.”
And that’s what she did. Once more, she put you to bed, but this time she stayed with you. It wasn’t unusual for her to stay over and sleep in your bed. The place where Bakugo used to sleep.
Your eyes that were sore started to close. You felt yourself sleep but not dream.
When you woke up, it was still dark. You felt more oriented and aware. The alcohol must have worn off. Your phone read it was around 2AM. You didn’t want to disturb Mina, so you left the bedroom.
When you saw the bottle, you were surprised how much you drank and how you weren’t sick right now.
You sat down on the couch, covering yourself with the fuzzy blanket that was left there.
You took your phone to scroll down your social media feed. There were so many pictures of your friends who were in happy relationships, but you kept seeing Bakugo’s face. No matter what photo, he was there.
The pain kept coming back to stab your heart. You felt like you were bleeding out. You then remembered that Bakugo called you yesterday.
Mina would be so upset, but you clicked his name to dial him back. You kept hearing rings and then voice mails. You kept calling, over and over.
Finally, you got an answer.
“Yes?” He was fully awake and didn’t sound concern.
“I miss you.” Was all you said, then he hung up on you. You expected as much.
--
“Well, I gotta go to work,” Mina said holding your hands. You both were standing in the archway of the entrance to your apartment, “Will you be ok?”
“Yeah, I will be.” Another lie. Even though she didn’t look convinced, she left. You closed the door and fell on the couch, burying your head in one of the cushions. Instead of good memories like the other day, you remembered the fight that started this all.
Bakugo tried to love on you. He was kissing your neck. You enjoyed it, but you didn’t want it to go where he wanted it to go.
“Hey Katsuki,” you started. He gave a hum in response, letting you know he was listening, “Can we do this another night?”
He got off you and rolled his eyes, sitting up. “What’s wrong?”
“It’s nothing.” His voice sounded annoyed. You furrow your brows, getting frustrated yourself.
“It’s obviously not nothing. What’s wrong?” Your voice was stern. Sitting up on the couch, you looked at him with intent. He stayed silent, “Goddamn it Katsuki, out with it.”
“’Out with it’” he mocked you, “Why do you always need to know why I’m frustrated? You should be able to figure it out yourself.”
“Well sorry I want clarity. Is this over sex?”
“Fuck no. I just hate you never thinking about me. You always pry at me when you need something. You need me for this. You need me for that.” He motioned his hands to match his words, “Do you ever ask what I want?”
You didn’t realize that you hadn’t. “That doesn’t mean I don’t care Katsuki.”
“I know you care, but my god isn’t it fucking annoying,” he got up off the couch to storm off. You followed him.
“Where are you going?”
“Isn’t obvious, I’m in the bedroom.” You felt more warmth building in your body, feeling it warmest and tightest in your core.
“I know that, but why are you walking away from me?”
“You want to know everything don’t you. You can’t figure anything out for yourself?” Your mouth slacked open not knowing how to respond. He paced around the room, running his hands through his hair.
“At least I care,” you started shouting, “What’s wrong with you Katsuki?”
“Sometimes I just want to be left alone, but no you have to come follow my ass like puppy.”
You started feeling tears well up in your eyes, “Are you calling me a dog?”
“No, I just-“ He clenched his fists, “You just don’t understand me.”
“I do understand-“
‘No you fucking don’t. You’re only concerned about what you want in this relationship. Maybe I should compare you to a dog, because you’re a bitch!”
“You’re calling me a bitch? Why don’t you look at yourself in the mirror and see what a massive dick you’re being?” Your voice was starting to break. You felt pins and needles in your arms, shaking them unconsciously as well, “I put a lot of care in this relationship. And you’re saying I don’t?”
“You know what, you don’t. I’ve been telling you that you only care about yourself, and look what you do. You’re only concerned about you.”
“Oh my god, you keep blaming me. You’re the one who started this all!”
“No, it was you! You’re the one who chased after me, thinking you could solve this now.”
The tears were now falling down your cheeks, and your jaw started to clench. “I care about this relationship. You think I want this to fall apart.” Your words were said through your teeth.
“Yes, I actually think you fucking do.” Bakugo shouted even more. You’re sure your neighbors were going to put in a noise complaint in the morning, “I do most of the work in this relationship, and you just pretend everything is ok. You didn’t even notice how I was fucking feeling this entire time. You were just in your own little world. You know why, cause you’re a bitch, and you’ll always be one.”
You walked up to him and smacked him across the face; he then grabbed your arms and pinned you against the door, “You think you’re so tough?”
You spit on his face, and that was it. He stormed out and never came back.
You wished you could take it all back. You wish you could do it over.
Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. You open it to see Bakugo.
“Kat- I mean, Bakugo, what are you doing here?” He looked annoyed and started to lean against the door frame.
“You called me last night. Well, I’m here.” His words were softer than you expected.
“Well, I don’t know what to say-“ you started.
“You’re the one who said you missed me.” He didn’t look you in the eye, “So what do you want?”
You didn’t know what to say. He mumbled something under his breath and started to walk away. You panicked.
“Wait! Don’t go.” You reached out to him. He came back and looked you in the eye.
“What do you want?” he repeated. You swallow the knot that developed in your throat.
“I don’t know.”
“Then it’s over.” He said walking away again. This time, he didn’t come back.
You closed the door and cried about your relationship finally being over for good
A/N: Two chapters in one month?? Your super nice and amazing comments always want to make me write so much more! I’m glad I had some extra time this week to get things out. PLEASE READ NOTE BELOW:
With the recent chapters of the manga in mind, I want to make note that this story is non-canon. I want to keep this story cohesive and not spoil anything that is not in the anime. However, there may be discrepancies or differences because I started writing during the overhaul arc. I understand a lot of people don't read the manga and some things have happened that could impact what I plan to do with this story. So, please keep in mind that this is not canon, but is set in the second year. My main goals are clarity within this story and not spoiling anything. Thank you!
(series masterlist)
The next few weeks passed in a blur because your schedule was now much more packed with various activities. You had cooking on Monday, training with Aizawa-sensei and Shinsou every Tuesday and Friday, and training with Bakugou every Wednesday and Sunday.
On top of that, physical training had increased throughout the class because of the approaching sports festival and many people were asking to train with you. So far, you had trained with the girls a couple of times as well as in other small study groups when the spaces were rented out. Everyone was rather nice about inviting when they could, although you didn’t always say yes.
As of now, it was the Wednesday before the Sports Festival. Class ended with a big endurance workout and then some stretches. Each student was breathing heavily and slowly making their way back to the lockers to change. Knowing you would be training with Bakugou in the next hour, you didn’t want to shower, but also didn’t want to switch back into your school uniform because it would become dirty.
However, you immediately changed your mind as you saw how sweaty you were in the mirror. Strands of hair were stuck to your face from sweat and your face was clearly flushed.
“Did I look this bad all of class?” You frantically asked Momo and Jirou who were ruffling through their own lockers.
Jirou let out a few snickers at your reaction while Momo shook her head and smiled sweetly.
“You don’t look bad at all,” Momo explained while she applied deodorant.
“You’re too nice,” You replied, waving hero off sheepishly before looking to Jirou, “Tell me the truth, Jirou-san.”
“You don’t look too bad,” She responded, “All of us look like a mess. I don’t think anyone would really notice if that’s what you’re worried about.”
You hummed a response, not quite satisfied with her response, but also not about to beg her to call you either gorgeous or hideous. You turned back to your locker, deciding last minute to take a shower. You weren’t going to wash your hair, but you would borrow the hairbrush you knew Ashido has in order to fix your hair.
Once finally clean, with hair neatly brushed and tied back from your face, you leisurely walked back with Ashido and Hagakure to grab your school bags.
“So, now that I am officially in a relationship,” Ashido began, “I figured it was time I played matchmaker for you two hopeless romantics,” The kindred girl skipped ahead of you and Hagakure with a wide smile.
You chuckled low in your throat. “I don’t think that really describes us well,” You retorted, trailing behind slightly.
Ashido simply waved you off and moved around to throw her arm around Hagakure. “What about you, Toru-chan? Do you want me, who is in a steady relationship, to help you and Ojiro?”
“Um,” The invisible girl tentatively started. She was clearly unsure how Ashido would be able to help. “I’m okay with my relationship with Ojiro right now…”
“Really?” Ashido inquired. “You’re okay with just being his friend?” Your small group rounded the corner, approaching the classroom.
“Well,” You were sure Hagakure would be blushing if she wasn’t invisible. “I don’t want to push him into anything because he is shy and likes to go slow. I think it is best if it happens naturally.”
Ashido visibly harrumphed before looking back at you. “Y/L/N-chan!” She explained, moving from Hagakure to you. “Let me be your wing-woman!”
You slid open the classroom door, head turned to reply to Ashido. “I’m pretty sure Bakugou would blow you up before you even had a chance to be my wing woman.”
“Meanie,” The pink-haired girl pouted before pushing past you to go to her desk and grab her bag.
“I just don’t know if Bakugou would want anyone to meddle in the too-small relationship we have now,” You explained, walking over to your own desk. Everyone else’s desks were empty, meaning you were the last three people left.
“Yeah, but you are barely spending any time with him. Not only do I know Bakugou well, but I can help you because I’m dating Kirishima,” Mina countered. “I could talk you up, or lowkey make us go on a double date. It would work perfectly.”
You all walked out of the classroom, closing the door after Ashido and Hagakure both exited, and walking toward the lockers at the entrance to change shoes.
“I feel like I spend plenty of time with him,” You reasoned, adjusting your backpack up higher. You were trying to explain yourself without being too descriptive. You saw him every day at school, ate lunch with him, spent time with him three days out of the week, and saw him in the halls occasionally.
“You mean lunches with all of us and cooking dinner once a week with him and Sero?” Ashido countered. “That’s maybe more time than half the class, but it isn’t very much for a romantic relationship.”
You rolled your eyes and laughed loudly. Personally, you weren’t sure if Bakugou would really spend much time with his partner. He wasn’t a very outgoing person to begin with and you imagined that he would want someone who respected his privacy.
After a short debate, you decided it was best to tell your friends about the additional time you had spent with Bakugou. The time you spent with him was more heavily focused on training than anything else, meaning this information wouldn’t change too much about what your relationship with him meant. “You can’t say anything, okay?” You began your confession. You felt safe telling them but wanted to make sure it stayed in your small circle of friends.
Both girls turned towards you. Ashido’s eyes were wide with curiosity.
“Bakugou and I have been training together every Wednesday and Sunday,” You simply said.
“Huh?” Hagakure spoke up, “Like, you guys happen to be at the gym at the same time?”
“No,” You clarified, “Like, we meet up every Wednesday and Sunday for hours to train together.”
“What?” The pink-haired girl screeched. She turned and moved to be in front of you in order to stop you in your tracks. “Really?”
“Why would I lie?” You replied, shrugging easily.
“I don’t know,” She shot back with a cheeky smile. She looked down and nervously bit on her lip. “I just can’t believe it.” Before you could say anything else, she looked up at you. “I don’t think you even need my help, Y/L/N-chan!”
“Thanks,” You laughed out.
The three of you began walking again before separating to go to each of your respective lockers. You grabbed a couple of textbooks, put a few things from your bag away and into the locker, as well as switched your shoes. You met back up with Hagakure and Ashido at the door and exited together.
The silence was quickly ended by Ashido. “I can’t believe you are training with him.”
“Is it really that unheard of?” You inquired.
“I mean, he doesn’t really train with anyone. The fact that he is training with you is a good sign,” Ashido explained. “But that is also giving you an insane opportunity to spend time with him that almost no one else gets.”
“Wow,” Hagakure finally added. She turned to face you. “You really are lucky huh?”
You felt your cheeks flush. “Oh, well, um,” You stuttered, “I don’t think I’m that lucky. It’s probably just a coincidence.”
Ashido scoffed, “Yeah, we’ll see.”
You simply rolled your eyes at the girls and followed Ashido as she went on to talk about Kirishima while leading you all back to the dorms.
As subtly as possible, you pulled out your phone to check your notifications. Bakugou would often text you after class or in the morning to let you know where he wanted to meet that day. Frequently, it would be in the cityscape, because it was best for his quirk.
In reflection, you were often mostly working for his benefit. Although you definitely improved through practice, small details like the location of the training, or discussion on what to improve often revolved around the blond boy.
You bit your lip, debating if it was bad.
On one hand, you were happy to spend time with him, help him, and still improve yourself.
On the other, is it a bad sign that he is unwilling to help improve your skills?
Well, it’s not like he is unwilling. I’ve never asked, you reasoned. And maybe he doesn’t know how to help me like I know how to help him because I grew up in a hero family.
You sighed at the predicament just as your phone vibrated with Bakugou’s decision on where to meet.
Let’s meet right outside the dorm room. No hero costume necessary.
That’s new. Sure, the first time you met outside the dorms so he could show you where the cityscape was, but he hadn’t done that since.
You shoved your phone back into your pocket as Ashido opened the door to the dorm house. You each quickly went your separate ways. Hagakure rushed to the bathroom, Ashido went to grab a snack, and you went upstairs to change and get ready.
You did your best to tidy up quickly. You didn’t need your hero costume, but you still might be doing some form of combat or exercise so you needed to dress in workout clothes. You dressed in comfortable, dark leggings and a sports bra to match. On top, you wore a sweat-resistant shirt and styled your hair to keep it out of your face.
You bit your lip as you looked in the mirror and thought over what you could do to make your appearance any better. This probably isn’t even something Bakugou thinks about, you thought as your forced yourself to look away and grab your phone.
You had just enough time to pack a small bag with your belongings and go downstairs to fill up your water bottle. When done, you popped your head outside the front door to see if Bakugou was waiting. With five minutes to spare, you were here before the short-tempered boy. And so, you sat down at the large couches by the door and waited for Bakugou to come down while scrolling through your phone.
“I thought I told you to wait outside,” You heard a gruff voice say. You looked up from your phone to see Bakugou walking towards the kitchen to fill his own water.
“I didn’t know how long you would take,” You reasoned and smiled at the blond before getting up to meet him in the kitchen. In reality, you were waiting no more than two minutes before he came down.
“You know I would never be late,” He retorted while screwing the cap onto his bottle.
You shrugged in response, not bothering to reply verbally. The conversation died down as you followed behind Bakugou and out of the house. “So, where are we going?” You asked as you closed the door behind the both of you.
“The library,” Bakugou explained. “I want to do some theorizing stuff, maybe some combat after.”
You hummed and followed behind him on the short trek to the library. “Is there anything specific on your mind?” You inquired, considering this isn’t something Bakugou had wanted to do before.
“The sports festival is this weekend and I want to win. I was thinking we could watch old highlights and strategize what the possible challenges could be and how to approach them,” Bakugou described.
“And we can’t just do this in the dorms?” You shot back.
“Shuddup,” He responded. “It’s always easier to study in a computer lab rather than our rooms.”
“I guess,” You simply replied, not really caring about where you were when you would be analyzing old clips from sports festivals in the past.
“I guess,” Bakugou mimicked back, a habit he formed quickly when you began to talk more. Anytime your accent sounded a little off, just slightly weird, the blond would repeat it, emphasizing the mistake, and snickering at it.
“Oh shut up, you idiot,” You snapped back, not too harshly slapping his name on his arm.
“What?” He loudly reasoned while still laughing. “I’m trying to help you speak better Japanese.”
“No, you aren’t,” You rolled your eyes at him shrugging, “You are just laughing at me.”
Bakugou feigned surprise, gasping and putting his hand onto his chest. “How dare you? I am in the top 10 of our grade academically, and your accent has only gotten better since I started doing this.”
“Yeah, well you suck ass at English,” You mumbled in response.
“I don’t need to have a perfect accent if I am speaking English in Japan,” He retorted before pulling open the door to the school. It led to the library and computer lab that was a few stories up.
“When you speak English here, you will most likely be doing hero work with tourists that unfortunately got caught in something,” You reasoned, “They won’t be able to understand you well if at all when you don’t study tonal English.”
Realistically, yes, they would be able to understand Bakugou. However, you were currently butt-hurt and unwilling to compliment him.
“Then I will leave the talking to you.” Bakugou pressed the elevator door button and waited until it dinged and the doors opened to walk in.
“And you expect me to just be there in the field with you?” You questioned, following behind him.
“What?” Are you going back to America?” He asked back. His voice had a different tone to it. He was no longer teasing you and instead of asking a genuine question.
You pushed away the want to analyze this difference in inflection, knowing it would make you look like an idiot for pausing to reply for so long. “Not anytime soon,” You finally replied, “But we can’t predict the future, and I have no clue where I will go after graduation.”
“Well, you should stay here,” Bakugou simply said.
You couldn’t help but shoot him a shocked and curious look. “Does the Bakugou Katsuki really want me to stay in Ja—”
“It’s not like that, you idiot!” He interrupted you. “Japan is just a lot better for heroism than America so you will learn more and be better if you stay here.”
He had a pout on his face that begged you to not tease him.
So, you didn’t.
However, you weren’t sure what to say so you simply followed behind Bakugou as he entered the library and beelined it to a table.
“And my name isn’t Ka-TSU-ki,” He finally spoke while placing his belongings onto the table.
You shot him a confused look, “What do you mean?” You placed your own things down to his right.
“Put more accent on ‘Ka’,” He explained easily. “You should rush through it to sound more like KA-tski.”
Bakugou shot you a look as if he was waiting for you to say his name. “What?” You curiously asked.
“Practice,” He motioned for you to speak.
“Uhhh, Ka-tski, KA-tski, Katsuki,” You awkwardly attempted. You felt the heat spread from the bottom of your neck to your cheeks and finally to the tops of your ears.
You weren’t a fool. You knew what using a first name meant in Japanese culture and also knew that no one except Midoriya referred to him by any other name besides Bakugou. For him to so casually have you repeat his first name over and over made your stomach flip.
“Good,” He spoke, voice deep and almost raspy. It made butterflies erupt in your stomach. His tone was… different and it made your head spin crazily. The blond sat down and pulled out his laptop.
“I didn’t bring my computer,” You awkwardly explained.
“That’s fine,” Bakugou immediately replied. “I can rent one out from the library if need be, but we can share earbuds and watch videos on my laptop.”
You gulped down the quickly forming lump in your throat and simply kept watching the blond unpack his bag.
From being able to say his first name without him yelling at you to his tone and his willingness to share, Bakugou was acting unusually. And you were clearly flustered by it. You were sure that if Ashido was here, she would practically be stabbing you with her elbow while she winked at you repeatedly.
Luckily, however, it was just the oblivious and preoccupied Bakugou who was currently opening a tab on his laptop and pulling up videos. You were free to push your chair back, gulp down too much water, and attempt to manage your breathing pattern without him noticing.
Or at least that’s what you hoped.
“Here.”
You looked up from the desk and saw Bakugou holding out an earbud to you. Before grabbing it, your eyes trailed down the wire that inevitably connected it to Bakugou’s own ear. Bakugou had moved the laptop to be evenly between you two on the desk, he was also leaning in slightly to give your more room with the earbud wire. Finally, he also had a notebook and pen to his left so he could write down notes.
You moved closer to the blond and put in the earbud. You tried your best not to move too close, but Bakugou easily moved closer once you stopped adjusting and his own shoulder was now brushing against yours.
Oh, great, you thought. You felt a tinge of nerves from Bakugou push into you. Because your shoulders were only brushing, sometimes not touching at all, you could really only see his surface-level emotions. More than anything, he was focused and determined.
Bakugou opened a document that already had a plethora of notes. “These are the past 11 years of sports festivals and what challenges were done each time,” He explained as you scanned your eyes over the expansive document. It was organized by year, then by class year, and finally, by challenge done.
You hummed to simply let Bakugou know you heard him as you searched for patterns.
“The most common one is a race,” Bakugou began, “But it is different every time.” He moved his cursor to open a video. “This is a compilation of the 17 races or marathons that were done.”
Without waiting, Bakugou began playing the video. They were short clips, the teacher hosting the sports festival explaining what each step of the race was as well as a few highlights. You took mental notes while Bakugou scribbled away in his notebook. You immediately noticed him angrily grumbling when last year’s highlights came up, it showed Midoriya expertly soaring into first place.
“These definitely favor flight abilities,” You mumbled as the video came to a close. The notation wasn’t so good for your quirk, but you knew Bakugou would have little trouble.
“Yeah,” Bakugou simply replied, well aware of the disadvantage you would have if it was a marathon-based challenge.
“How are you feeling about your maneuverability?” You asked Bakugou, knowing there was little you could do. Well, except hope that a marathon challenge wasn’t in this year’s sports festival.
“I’m fine,” Bakugou responded, before changing the subject, “Races are least common for second years though, so I’m not sure if we should expect it.” Bakugou leaned back in his chair, “I know that U.A. does some stuff to help prevent repetitiveness between the classes within a year, but also between the same class each year.”
“Damn,” You commented, “You really know your stuff.”
“Yeah, well it makes sense to analyze past stuff,” Bakugou explained, “I can train all I want, but analyzing last year definitely helped me too.”
“I wonder if anyone else is doing this,” You thought out loud.
Bakugou simply shrugged and turned back to his computer. “Usually, every second round is a group-based challenge, but they vary a lot.” You nodded in understanding, “The most common one in the past 11 years is a mini-disaster situation. They love doing this for second-years, but it costs a lot so it has only happened 9 times between all three grade levels.” Bakugou once again pulled up a video and began playing clips from the 9 previous disaster situations.
The first time it was ever done, the teachers played it off as a real situation. It made for great television and a realistic view of how heroes work in the field, but the audience was unaware of the decision and it terrified them. There were actors in place as villains and civilians, but U.A. ended up apologizing and doing it the next year with multiple variations and adjustments to be more family-friendly.
“They didn’t do this last year,” Bakugou elaborated, “So I think they will this year.” He moved back to a new document. It had each year’s disaster detailed on it. It listed hat was the problem, the main highlights, as well as who won and the quirks the team had.
“The grading of this challenge is based on the team’s ability to work well together, how they work against the villain, and how they help rescue the designated civilians.” Bakugou paused for a beat, “I know you haven’t done the hero provisional license, but it is similar to the task during that test, just on a smaller scale.”
You nodded in understanding while reading over the group’s quirks. “Do you know if the students got to pick their teams?” You asked.
“I couldn’t find anything on it, but for our team-based challenge last year, we were allowed to pick groups,” Bakugou replied.
“Who would you pick then?” You asked him, partially out of curiosity for his strategy and partially hoping he would say your name.
Bakugou hummed in thoughts, “Most teams in the past were five people, and I don’t know how great I would be with helping civilians.” Bakugou paused in thought, “I think you, Kirishima, and Ashido would be great with that.”
And there go the butterflies once again erupting in your stomach.
“You would also allow us to communicate across the field, Kirishima would be great for defense if the villains ever attacked the civilians, and Ashido has a great offensive attack and personality that would keep people calm.” He paused for a few moments, “I also think Sero would be great with saving civilians and then moving to help in the offensive.”
“Isn’t that the same team you had last year?” You questioned. You wanted to tease him for being so willing to compliment people, but you knew he would react badly. You made a mental note to tell Ashido later.
“Well, I added you!” Bakugou defended, voice rising in volume slightly.
The librarian shushed him and you snickered at his angry face. “Calm down,” You reassured, placing your hand onto his own.
It was a habit to touch people and help them, you weren’t even thinking about how it would change his feelings. However, you immediately felt the heat from his hand warm your cool skin without processing exactly what you were doing. Although your mind wanted you to snatch your hand back once you felt his warmth, you knew it would only make the situation weirder. Instead, you pushed away his anger and calmed him just slightly, trying not to push your own nerves onto him.
Bakugou looked at you with wide eyes before his face relaxed. Similar to before, you felt his nerves rush into your body. It honestly made you more nervous. Knowing that your focus on nerves would only worsen both of yours, you pulled your hand back, trying your best to seem casual. Thoughts rushed through your head as you tried to figure out why he became so nervous when you touched his hand with your own.
You weren’t an idiot.
You knew what type of nerves he had.
It wasn’t sickness-related and it definitely wasn’t an anxiety-induced nerve. It was the same type of nerves you felt when your stomach would flip at the rare sight of Bakugou smiling. It was the same flutter of your heart when you saw Bakugou dressed in his hero costume.
You could even see the small blush forming on the tips of his ears and cheeks, only helping to confirm your assumptions.
If you didn’t stop yourself, you would have already stumbled out an apology before grabbing your belongings and rushing out of the library. Except, if you did do that, it would be a dead giveaway that you understood his nerves.
Something you reminded yourself over and over was that if anything was going to happen with the blond, you would need to be patient. Over the past few weeks, as you two have grown closer, it was patience and understanding that made him more comfortable around you.
“Sorry,” You apologized after a moment, moving to grab your water and take a few sips.
Bakugou pulled back from you, “It’s okay.”
He knows.
He knows I know.
He knows that I know that he knows.
You closed your eyes tightly to push your anxious thoughts away.
How could he know? He’s just as nervous as I am if not more!
“Sometimes I forget my quirk will just go off, I didn’t mean to change your feelings,” You explained. Although helpful, sometimes it was best for people to feel out their emotions and learn to change them on their own.
“It’s okay,” Bakugou repeated, “It’s for the best anyways. I’d hate to be kicked out of the library…again.”
“Again?” You questioned, quirking your eyebrow at the blond.
Bakugou nodded, laughing at himself slightly. “Yeah, it was when I was tutoring Kaminari last year. That idiot can be so stupid sometimes, I couldn’t hold back my screams when he told me the 4 squared was 8.”
You chuckled at Bakugou’s story, covering your mouth slightly to muffle your laughs. “Oh my god,” You exclaimed in surprise.
“I know,” Bakugou confirmed. “I don’t think he would have passed last year if I wasn’t there to tutor him,” Bakugou smirked while watching you giggle at his joke. Once your laughter died down with a deep breath, Bakugou adjusted himself in his chair to face his laptop once again. “Anyways,” He began, “I think the team I mentioned earlier would be great. We would have well-balanced defense and offense.”
You nodded, “I’ll make sure to keep that in mind if we all make it to the second round.”
“Oh, you better,” Bakugou pointed his finger at you. “I don’t care what the first round is, your better be ready to be the second person at the finish line.”
“Second?” You asked, already knowing where this would go.
“Yeah, obviously I am first,” Bakugou said seriously.
You held back your laugh but smiled all the same. “I’m sure you will be first, Bakugou-san. Now, let’s get back to review so we can make that possible.”
Bakugou nodded and began another small speech about the other team challenges. You listened diligently, watched the videos intently, and provided notes and feedback when you had some to say.
You both started a consistent pattern, reviewing each section before talking about how it could be positive or negative for each person. You theorized different abilities and moves you each had that could assist in a challenge. For example, a less common first challenge was a multi-round skills test.
It was much more used in the past but featured small rounds within the challenge that would add up to give people overall grades. Previous rounds featured breathing tests or aim with weaponry of choice.
“And that’s it!” Bakugou sighed, pushing himself back to rest against his chair. At this point, you and Bakugou had been in the library for over three hours with only one break to get up, stretch, and use the restroom.
You quietly whooped and took out the earbud so you could also lean back into your chair. “My back hurts, but this was definitely worth it.”
Bakugou chuckled at your comment, twisting in his chair to crack his back. “Happy to help.”
“If you are so happy to help, are you going to share this with anyone else?” You asked, looking at him from the corner of your eye.
“No,” Bakugou began, “Probably not.” He grabbed his water. “But you grew up in a hero family so you could help strategize more than the other class members.”
“I guess, but you don’t know that.” You turned to face him as he sipped on his drink. “Not only are you making assumptions about my past, but you are making assumptions about the other students as well.”
Bakugou dropped his head and rolled it to the side to look into your eyes with his own, vibrant scarlet orbs. He had a slight smirk on his lips that made you not quite gasp, but a breath in quickly and suddenly. However, it only got worse when his tongue appeared, slowly swiping across his upper lip. You wondered if the action was intentional, or if he could really look this good unintentionally.
“How many times is it now that you’ve come after me for assuming things about you?” He asked, his eyes squinting slightly at you.
You looked away, knowing you couldn’t respond if you continued to watch him. You were tempted to tell him not to look at you that way but also knew that would make him even more conceited and only edge him on. “Often enough for it to bug me and for you to remember. I think that’s a sign you should have learned by now,” You shot back.
“Oof,” Bakugou replied, moving in his seat to be sitting up straighter, he turned to face you more head-on and lay his right arm across the chair. “Why don’t you just clarify your past for me then?”
You eyed Bakugou closely. “Do you not remember what happened the first time you asked that?”
“You mean when you stormed out like you had a temper worse than mine? Of course, I do,” Bakugou shot back. He paused for a moment and you watched him think over his next words carefully, “Aren’t I your closest friend here?” You could tell it was to more so tease you, but you also wondered, due to his pause, if he was hoping you would say yes.
You scoffed at his comment, “Shouldn’t that be Ashido or Hagakure?” There was a fine line between complimenting Bakugou, revealing your feelings, and just making him more conceited. You feared that if you played into his idea about you two being close, it would give him an upper hand in your relationship. You were not willing to let Bakugou tease you and make you blush like a fool.
Well, it's not like you had too much of a choice in the matter though.
“Oh, please!” Bakugou retorted, “You spend so much more time with me than you do with them.”
“I also spend a lot of time with Shinsou,” You replied.
It was almost like a tug of war. Bakugou wanted you to admit that you spent so much time with him that he was practically your default best friend while you were trying to prove that you weren’t reliant on him. It’s not that the amount of time you spent with him was bad, not at all. You just didn’t want to tell him the truth because it would make him too confident.
“Who?” Bakugou asked, looking at you with a confused expression.
“Are you serious?” You laughed, “Are you really that unbelievably bad with names?” When Bakugou didn’t bother to reply, you continued, “Purple hair? Mind control quirk?”
“Him?” Bakugou exclaimed once realization dawned on him, “How are you spending so much time with that guy?”
“I’m interning with him and Aizawa-sensei,” You explained. “I’m sure I’ve mentioned this before.”
Bakugou slumped over his chair and pouted, “I would have remembered that. Why are you even interning with him?”
“Well, if you must know Bakugou-san,” You began, “I don’t have my provisional license and need a way to train. Plus, our quirks work well together. Aizawa-sensei wants us to get our licenses as soon as possible because he wants to see how well we work together in the field.”
Bakugou grumbled something you couldn’t quite hear so you simply ignored it.
“Are you actually upset?” You asked him, noticing his telltale signs of jealousy, but not quite believing he could be the jealous type. Or if you were worth being jealous over.
“No!” He immediately shot back, earning him another shush from the professor. “I just didn’t know you were training with other people too.”
You didn’t believe this was jealousy over you training with other people but knew pushing the subject would make Bakugou irritated. Forcing someone to share their feelings and emotions was never ideal. You could push slightly to see if they would open up, but if the situation isn’t severe, and you receive push back, it is best to let it go for the time being.
You saw the pout on his lips and simply laughed at his cute and childish actions. “What’s gonna make you feel better, huh? Should I tell you about my family’s deep, dark past?”
Bakugou scoffed and turned his body away from yours slightly. “Don’t tease me.”
“What do you mean?” You asked. “You doubt that my family has a dark past? Doesn’t every hero family have one?”
Bakugou called your bluff, “Then go ahead, tell me yours.”
You paused, not sure what to do. “Okay, w-well,” You stumbled over your words slightly, “It’s not that I don’t have one. I just didn’t expect you to actually ask me to tell you.”
You felt nerves erupt in your stomach, wondering how Bakugou would react to you backing out.
Bakugou laughed lightly, moving in his chair to sit up straight and look at you. “I’m never going to force you to tell me anything, but I’ll be here whenever you are ready.”
Oof.
There goes your heart rate, skyrocketing at Bakugou’s words. You did not at all expect a reaction like this. You didn’t know him for long, and you were well aware that you were on a good side that very few saw, but that comment was out of character for him. Or maybe, rather than being out of character, it was a new side of Bakugou even fewer people saw. You wondered if Kirishima had ever seen this side, or if this kind and patient attitude was reserved for the people he was most fond over.
Could this comment really be the key indicator in demonstrating that Bakugou had feelings for you? The anxiety and doubt that was ever so prominent in your life washed over you like a wave trying to rationalize why Bakugou would say something like that without concluding the specialness it held.
While you panicked, Bakugou began packing up his bag, putting away his laptop and notebook. He could see the gears turning in your head, and he knew that his comment pushed past the walls each of you set up in your friendship.
But maybe he didn’t care. However, it’s not like you could tell with the earbuds in that prevented you from reading his mind.
“You ready to go?” He asked while you stared into space like an idiot. He leaned into your line of view to bring you out of it.
“Huh?” You blinked a few times before locking eyes with the blond. “Yeah,” Your hoarse voice croaked out. Your throat had gone drier than you expected. You grabbed your bag and water quickly, “Do you want to go train at all?”
Bakugou looked out the windows, watching the sun start to set. “It’s a bit late, and I’m sure dinner is ready by now.” He looked down at his phone, “I can’t believe it’s almost 7:00.”
“Really?” You inquired, leaning toward him to check the time on his phone. “Damn, I didn’t expect us to be here so long.” You moved back to give yourself room to stretch. “We’ve been sitting for so long, I feel like I should do yoga and go on a run just to make up for it.”
Bakugou smiled at you, much kinder than you would expect him to. You felt the butterflies once again flutter in your stomach as you turned away to hide your face. Your cheeks were hot, and your mind was rushing quickly with ideas of what today meant. You definitely needed to talk to Ashido.
“If you’re still up for it after dinner, I’d love to go with you to the gym,” Bakugou offered.
“Is the gym usually busy at night?” You asked, trying to brush past his proposition. The idea that Bakugou wanted to spend more time with you than he already did was driving you crazy.
“Hmm, good question.” Bakugou started. “There are a few different ones on campus so that some can be reserved for groups or training sessions with teachers, but I don’t think a lot of people go after dinner. If you’re worried about that, we can always go to the track and use the yoga room which is always quiet and chill.”
You shrugged your shoulders and smiled at the red-eyed boy, “Either sounds good! Now let’s get back so I can eat.” You pouted and rubbed your stomach.
Bakugou snorted at your behavior before leading the way and opening the door for you. The conversation between you two flowed easily, with it mainly revolving around the class and the sports festival.
When you arrived home, you were each greeted by your classmates. Bakugou didn’t bother to reply to their greetings and instead rushed upstairs to drop off his things. You, on the other hand, immediately went to Ashido’s side.
“Bathroom, now.”
You pulled her away from Kirishima’s side and led her into the bathroom before checking to make sure no one else was in there.
“You and Bakugou didn’t even hide that you came home together, literally in front of everyone,” Ashido said before you even had a chance to speak.
“I know!” You exclaimed, smiling widely at the idea. You looked from Ashido to the mirror and checked your appearance, luckily, you still looked just as good when you left. “We literally hung out in the library for over 3 hours, talking about the sports festival, other shit, and being way too close to each other.” You turned back to your friend.
Ashido shook you in excitement while she squealed. “Are you going to give me details or what?” She asked after finally letting you go.
“Yes, of course, okay.” You tried your best to collect your thoughts. “First off, we were watching videos on his laptop, so we were sharing his earbuds and sitting so close that our shoulders were touching.”
“Oh my god!”
“Not only that,” You continued, “But anytime our shoulders did brush, I could tell that, although he was focused on the videos, he was also nervous because of how close he was to me.”
“No fucking way!”
“I know!” You practically shouted. “And you know how I am interning with Shinsou,” She nodded, “He literally was jealous when I brought it up. I didn’t even have to touch him to know because he was pouting, getting defensive, and just clearly upset.”
From per excitement, Ashido practically jumped around the bathroom. “Y/L/N-chan! I think Bakugou likes you!” She spoke in a sing-song voice. The smile on her face was just as wide as yours and you felt your cheeks heat up again.
“You think?” You asked.
She nodded fervently in response.
“Well, guess what?” You began, “I brought up doing yoga and running after dinner and he literally asked to join me.”
“You are literally going on a date,” Ashido immediately insisted.
“No, I’m not!” You sheepishly replied, scratching at your face and looking away. “That’s a little much.”
“Sure,” Ashido mocked you. “And sky totally isn’t blue.”
You rolled your eyes at the girl and waved her off. “I just want to take things slow,” You explained.
Ashido leaned in closer to you, “And that is why you are a great match for him.” She smiled widely, “I totally bet you guys will be together before the end of the year.”
You laughed, “Don’t make a bet on my relationship.”
“Okay, okay,” Ashido held her hands up in defeat. “But just know I’m in your corner.”
You smiled at your friend fondly before changing the subject. “Anyways, I’m hungry. Do you know what is for dinner?”
HELP WANTED (PART 2)
WOLF QUIRK F!READER x HANTA SERO x EIJIRO KIRISHIMA WORD COUNT: 2,997 TW/CW: ABSENT PARENT MENTION (I know some people get really bothered about absent parents)
NOTES: No banner yet. And yes, I posted two parts in one day BECAUSE I’M LIVING FOR THIS. The next part I’ll include things from Kiri and Sero’s POV. I got tired toward the end of this one and wanted to finish and post it before going to sleep.
Your alarm went off at 6:45 AM, allowing you more time to actually get ready and look like a decent human being.. well, sort of. You laid there for a moment, though, thinking that if this really went well, you could be leaving within the next week. You’d have to tell your father and though he’d be hurt, it wasn’t like you wouldn’t come back to visit. With a deep breath, you threw your legs off the side of the bed, holding your arms over your head to stretch. The stretch was so good that you almost fell back into your mattress and went back to sleep but you shook your head and rose to your feet, proceeding to your bathroom to shower.
After you took your shower from Hell, you walked out of your bathroom and back into your room, making your way to your closet to browse over the clothes you had. You realized quickly that you should probably do some upgrading to your wardrobe but you’ll worry about that another day. Your eyes scanned over everything and nothing really stood out to you so you pulled out your phone to check the weather, seeing that it was pretty cold out— roughly 23 degrees. Coffee definitely sounded luxurious right now and that thought alone made you check the time to see that it was now 7:15 AM. You took a little longer in the shower but the scorching water felt like Heaven to you.
You sighed, taking a long-sleeved, burgundy turtleneck half-shirt off of a hanger along with a pair of black high-waisted jeans. You tossed both articles of clothing onto the bed then went to your small dresser in the corner of your room to open the top drawer, pulling out a white colored bra and a matching pair of panties to go with it. You closed that drawer then opened the second drawer, getting some black socks that rose to just under your knee. Once you had everything, you dropped your towel then threw your undergarments on, along with your socks.
During your dressing, you received a text message from the Kiri person so you rushed over to it, hoping they weren’t cancelling the get together. Relief washed over you whenever you read the message.
FROM KIRI: Morning! Wanted to send you a text to tell you that me and my roommate are getting ready and should be at the coffee shop closer to 8:30 AM. We still on?
You replied rather quickly, it was almost creepy.. like you were waiting for a text.
TO KIRI: Good morning! Yes, of course! I’m getting ready right now as well.. I may be there earlier than you both since it’s right around the corner from me!
Once the message delivered, you threw your phone back onto your bed then put on your shirt and pants, which had a special made hole just for your tail, then walked over to your full body mirror hanging on the wall. “Not bad.. Not bad at all.” It was almost like you were hoping these were men that you were meeting. You scoffed at your thought, nah. You walked back to the bathroom to grab your hair brush, one for the hair on your head and another for the fur on your tail. It was weird in a way.. you had to color coordinate what you used for your tail because the fur wasn’t as soft as your actual hair was. Once you finished grooming yourself, you put on a pair of flat-bottom, over-the-knee, black boots.
Time, what was the— shit! Your damned tail, taking so much time to brush through. It was now 8:05 so you had to rush a little bit if you wanted to be extra early and order what you needed so you grabbed your black trench coat off your coat rack, grabbed your phone then your backpack that held your wallet and other necessities that you may need throughout the day and booked it out of your room and out of your front door. Your dad must have had to work this morning, considering his car wasn’t out front but nonetheless, you expected as much from a police officer.
NO TIME TO THINK, you thought so you turned in the direction of the coffee shop and started walking. Your walking turned into walking fast then into.. running, which doesn’t affect you much considering it’s part of who you are. You thankfully had a bottle of perfume with you, just in case you smelt like a wet dog and you sprayed a few pumps amongst your coat and a few on your neck. You took a minute to catch your breath right outside Camille’s front door then walked in.
“My, my.. Look who it is! If it isn’t my dear Y/N! I haven’t seen you in a few weeks, must be pulling extra shifts at the animal shelter, huh?” Camille practically rushed to you, bringing you into a hug. All you could do was smile and accept her embrace then return it. If you were being honest, you really needed the hug. “Hi, Camille! I’m sorry I haven’t been visiting like I normally do. I have picked up a few more shifts so I can save up for a place of my own.” You took a seat at your usual spot, right up close to where she made most things. There was a small little bar, in which, Camille practically saved your seat every morning when you started coming in. She was like a mom to you, which was nice in its own way considering yours wasn’t worth a shit.
Camille knew just about everything about your life so you felt awful knowing that you hadn’t been around in a few weeks but you had to do what you need to first. “You know, darling, whenever you stopped coming in, these two very handsome boys started coming in every morning. It was almost fate in a way. They kept me company while you were gone, but don’t get me wrong, I’m glad my favorite girl is back.” Boys? Was this elderly woman really trying to hint at hooking you up right now? All you could do was shake your head and laugh as she set your usual in front of you— hot hazelnut coffee, extra sweet. You lifted the glass mug to your lips, speaking from behind it, “Boys, huh? Camille, are you trying to set me up?” A smirk formed along your face as you took a sip of the coffee, humming softly in satisfaction, your ears falling back some. She always did make the best coffee, it never failed.
The older woman laughed then leaned back onto the counter opposite from the one you were at, “Now, you know I wouldn’t meddle into your love life, dear. All I’m saying is, they are complete gentleman.” She leaned forward on her elbow, whispering her next statement. “If I was year and years younger, I’d probably take both of them.” This made you snort then double over in laughter, “Camille! Shame on you!” All she did was shrug then before she could respond, her eyes lit up when she realized who was entering her shop. You noticed this look and raised an eyebrow, sipping your coffee. Camille realized your eyes were on her and she nodded toward the door, mouthing that’s them. You tried your best not to make it obvious but you turned your head just enough to the side to peer over your shoulder and boy, she was not kidding. However, these were definitely not boys.. they were pure men.
You quickly turned your head before they realized you were ogling them, your insides heating up. All you could think of was how the good Lord above took his sweet time crafting both of them. Your heightened sense of hearing allowed you to listen in on what was being said between both of the guys and Camille so you just barely turned your left ear to the side, lifting your coffee again to take another sip.
“My boys! Where have you been? Fighting crime as usual?” Camille greeted both with a big hug each before one of them answered her. “Yes ma’am, you know us. We have to make sure nothing happens to your wonderful coffee shop.” Your heart skipped a beat at that statement. Smooth. “Always such sweethearts, come. I want you to meet another regular of mine.” Please don’t, please don’t, plea— “Y/N?” Your face was probably as red as a beet at this point but you turn anyway with a smile that was semi-forced. You hadn’t much prepared well on talking to… very, very attractive men. “Boys, this is Y/N. Y/N, this is Eijiro and Hanta.” You shook each of their hands, your insides felt like they were being lit on fire at this point.
The man known as Kirishima smiled, “You can call me either Ei, Eiji or Kiri, though.” The fire was immediately put out by his statement. You were thanking all the Gods that you didn’t have your coffee in your hand because you would have dropped it. “D-Did you say Kiri?” You cleared your throat, scratching the back of your head nervously.
“Yeah, do you know me? I mean, I’m a pro-hero but do you know someone I know or—“ You cut him off, not meaning to, but you had to get it out. “No, I.. I inquired about the roommate ad you had put up. We texted this morning and last night?” Kirishima and Sero’s eyes widened and they looked at each other. Something tells you they really weren’t expecting the person they were meeting to be a woman, but you were in the same boat because you didn’t expect for the two people you were meeting to be two gorgeous piece of asses either.
Sero spoke this time as he looked back at you, “So you are looking to be our roommate?” You blushed a soft shade of pink, not really knowing how to properly answer that but you did anyway. “Well, I-I didn’t really plan on you guys being, well… guys.” Both men laughed then Kirishima sat next to you, Sero sitting next to him on the other side. Camille put their coffees in front of him, Sero’s was partnered with a bagel. She gave you a wink then rushed back to the kitchen, peering out the little window in the door. All you could do was shake your head with a grin. “If it makes you uncomfortable, you definitely don’t have to move in with us but we’d like to be your friend.”
You smiled at that but thought of the trouble you’d get yourself in just by being their friend. It was almost impossible not to yank both by their collars to the bathroom and— “Wolf quirk, eh?” Sero’s voice shook you out of your inappropriate thoughts. It’s almost like he knew where your head was spiraling to. “Y-Yeah. My dad is also part wolf as well.” You nodded, clearing your throat even though you really didn’t need to as there was nothing to clear.
“What about your mom?” Sero pressed, not knowing that talking about your mother was something you hated doing. You sighed quietly, eyes darting in front of you to a blank space on the white wall in front of you. Your ear fell back, tone filled with… hatred when you spoke, which you didn’t intend for, but your burning rage for her was not controllable. “Don’t know her. She left not too long after I was a baby. Just up and left in the middle of the night and nobody has seen her since.”
Kirishima looked at Sero, eyes saying way to go, idiot. He wanted to lighten the mood so he changed the subject quickly, “So, uh.. about your quirk..” You three sat there for what felt like hours just talking, having casual conversation. They asked about your quirk, showing high interest in every aspect of it. You reassured them that you didn’t shed hair so they didn’t need to worry about any of that. You didn’t realize that they were pro-heroes until they told you their hero names and you almost choked on your semi-hot coffee. You had heard of both but you never really are around the action to put a face to the name. They both do a lot of good work around your city, in which, you are thankful for with your father being on the police force. Without them, your dad would probably have been hurt or worse.
Your anger about your mother had withered away and you were really enjoying yourself with the two men next to you. Your tail was moving to-and-fro the entire time, meaning you were happy. It got silent at one point and that prompted to Sero clear his throat then bump his elbow into Kirishima’s own, basically trying to push on this conversation. Kirishima turned his body a little toward you, his tone was soft, “Um.. This roommate thing.. It’s obvious you aren’t a serial killer, unless you’re a really good actor. You don’t have to give us an answ—“ You held your finger up with a smile because it was clear he was about to start rambling on due to nerves and not wanting to overstep. “You don’t have to say anymore. I’m super down for being your roommate.” It seemed like relief washed over the both of them because they smiled at you. “Hell yeah, you can move your stuff in at any time. Just let us know when so we can help you.” Sero nodded in your direction and you nodded back with a smile.
Moving in.. with two insanely attractive men.. What could go wrong, right?
Sero nods. “It’s the chance of a lifetime, really,” he says. “We want you to date Bakugou, for the sake of his reputation with the press. Some public appearances, a few ‘candid’ photos. For at least a couple of months.”
“Bakugou sent you to ask me to date him?” Kirishima asks, baffled.
“Of course not. We, his people, are asking you to date him. He’s going to have to get on board, if he wants his career to survive. And in the bargain, Riot will get all sorts of publicity, because their lyricist will be dating one of the industry’s hottest stars. A win for everyone.”
When Kirishima Eijirou's band hits the big time, he's not prepared for his newfound fame. He's even less prepared to meet the actor he's been crushing on for years, or to start dating him as a publicity stunt. The closer Kirishima gets to Bakugou Katsuki, the more he realizes he's in over his head. But it's hard to stop, once his heart is in it.
“Are those soba noodles?” Kirishima asked.
Again Bakugou’s only reply was a grunt. He offered no further explanation—not that Kirishima honestly expected one—as though making soba noodles from scratch at half past four in the morning wasn’t at all a bizarre occurrence and made complete and total sense. For a fleeting moment, Kirishima even wondered if maybe he was the odd one here. Besides, he’d already decided it was generally not in his best interest to question these types of things with Bakugou, especially when it was something essentially harmless.
When Kirishima has a nightmare and is unable to fall back asleep, he accepts defeat and decides to study in the common area of the dorms. What he doesn't expect to find is Bakugou, also very much awake, and Kirishima can't help but think that maybe they're both having the same problems with sleeping. If he's worried, it's just because they're friends. (Right?)
the weight of your hand by kamin
That night, to the citizens, the explosions were a jolt of fear at every blast, but to the heroes and the students of UA, they were punches and swings, fierce fighting and loud strength. The explosions were the pulse of the battle, and the power of a boy that would never back down.
One after another, explosions set a chorus through the shuddering city.
And then, suddenly—the explosions stopped.
(In which Bakugou’s kidnapping goes a little differently, and just a few seconds could change so much.)
When a stranger shows up at the ice rink during Bakugou's usually private training sessions, Bakugou expects to hate him. He doesn't expect to develop feelings that become increasingly difficult to deny, or for them to help each other sort through their emotional baggage. - Bakugou really didn't like Kirishima's smile. There was something about it that made his stomach hurt, something about it that made it difficult to focus. He definitely hadn't thought about that smile on his way to the ice rink that day. He definitely hadn't.
When Bakugo and Kirishima get hit by a quirk that forces them to literally stick together or face the less then desirable consequences, how the fuck is Bakugo supposed to keep his crush hidden?! Well, turns out he never needed to.
-- “Well, this fucking sucks, how are we supposed to train?!” "Really closely?"
Bakugou was a comet, blazing out of reach. Kirishima knew he was stupidly lucky that his furious trajectory went by close enough that his fingertips got to graze the cowl of fire. It was enough.
During Christmas Class 1A and 1B spend a laid-back week learning about extreme environment hero work in the Alps. Kirishima was used to keeping part of his feelings for Bakugou hidden, and had every intention of keeping it that way, but things don't always go according to plan.
Bright red, spiky hair. Annoyingly bright smile. Clothes that radiate ‘look at me’ vibes. Neon yellow tank top with black shorts. And those were definitely crocs on his fucking feet.
Yeah, Katsuki hated this guy.
“We’ve been taking the same way to and from school for weeks,” Kirishima grinned, and then when Bakugou frowned at him he put on an affected pout, tilted his head so that he was looking at him through his thick, long lashes, “you never noticed? Am I that easy to miss?”
He could barely finish the sentence before a laugh escaped his lips, and Bakugou rolled his eyes, hit him with a shoulder a little more violently than necessary.
“You stick out like a sore thumb, broom-head,” he grumbled, promptly ignoring Kirishima's whining about his hairstyle when it started coming, “I didn’t notice ‘cause I didn’t care.”
“And now you do?”
Eijirou enjoys his job, working the graveyard shift at a 24/7 coffee shop. His daemon Riot is always there to keep him company, and he likes meeting the early-morning patrons and giving them the best possible kick-start to their day. It's been his routine for about a year now.
Then one day, a grouchy guy with a daemon in the form of a lion walks into the shop in the dead of night, and Eijirou decides to strike up a conversation with him.
“So you want to use me to piss off your mom?” Kirishima summarized, raising one pierced eyebrow at Katsuki.
“Look, if you want to be all fucking judgy about it, I take cash,” Katsuki said, dropping his hand palm up on the table.
“Hey now,” Kirishima said, raising his hands in surrender, “I didn’t say I wasn’t doing it. I’m always down for a little chaos.” He flashed a grin, showing off his ridiculous shark teeth.
“Good,” Katsuki said. “We start tomorrow."
He was starting to feel depressed. Life was so uninteresting. It was so mundane and forgettable. He had no one to hang out with besides Kota, his family didn’t even live in the city.
He grew his hair out as some sort of rebellion, some sort of stand to make his life the slightest bit more interesting. But he could already feel himself giving in to the pressure of cutting it. He needed to work to live. Without a job, he’d truly have nothing.
Katsuki Bakugou, one of the brightest rising stars on wall street, is in need of a new personal assistant. Again. Could Eijirou Kirishima finally be the one to last more than two months?
Katsuki's long suffering HR department sure hope so.
Four years after a classmate nobody seems to remember is kidnapped by the League of Villains, Kirishima drags an amnesiac hobo he found washed up on the beach into his apartment, attempts to teach him how to adult (with varying degrees of success), and discovers along the way that the line between heroism and villainy is quite fine indeed. Plot-divergent after episode 45, the Forest Training Camp arc.
Kirishima from a universe with no quirks is mind-swapped with an alternate universe version of himself where there are superpowers.
And in that universe he’s a super villain.
And Bakugou is the superhero who caught Evil-Kirishima and put him in prison.
“You’re the first guy friend I’ve had that I can just like, be friends with. You’re either the most unthirstiest boy ever...” Camie shrugged and made another wobbly illusion appear between her hands. It looked like a sparkly rainbow with the word ‘friendship’ beneath it, accompanied by what Bakugou assumed was supposed to be a twinkling sound effect, but it had a tinny quality to it and sounded far away. “...or I just ain’t got the kinda straw you like to ssssip.”
Carefully, Bakugou considered the strange turn this conversation had taken.
He had never been asked, point blank, if he was gay before. And he honestly had never thought about how he would respond. Lying about himself didn’t sit right with him. But he’d always wanted to wait until he was the number one hero - when he stood above everyone else - before coming out. Though he’d had times when he’d thought about doing it before then and had almost gone through with it once. But being the number one hero came first. It wouldn’t matter what people would say about it then as long as he’d risen to the top.
Bakugou knew his lack of a response would give Camie all the answers she needed.
“I’m telling you now, Shitty Hair,” the blonde growled, “I am not gonna play house with you. We will cart this stupid flour around for a week like the assignment says. But some of our idiot classmates are naming the thing and setting up ‘playdates’ and dressing it and I am not doing anything that stupid. Got it?”
Kirishima and Bakugou are paired up to take care of a flour sack for a week. It would be so simple, except nothing with Bakugou is ever simple. Also Kirishima might be kinda sorta completely head over heels for him.
