Can’t get over how much deleting Kinito was not the right call.

Not only because I think he’s redeemable and a good little creature deep down who’s been through enough already and is motivated only by a desperate desire for companionship and please he’s just a little guy don’t kill him.

but also because… deleting Kinito doesn’t just delete the malware axolotl himself. It deletes everything stored on his server.

Which includes sealing the fate of every person he’s trapped before. When he says “inside my code, you’ll always be” he means it literally.

The player is not the first person Kinito has done this whole thing to. And every previous “friend” of Kinito is trapped on his server, each with their own personalized world. He makes each of them a part of himself. They go down with him.

Sonny, Kinito’s creator and the one sending you the instructions to delete Kinito, knows this

But we don’t know anything about the others trapped with Kinito, besides their names that scroll by in the command prompt, we don’t know if they’re aware of what Sonny’s planning or how it will affect them. We don’t know if the people trapped in Kinito’s server even have contact with each other. We just know that they’re deleted along with Kinito.

and since the Web World is also part of Kinito’s server, the some of the weird stuff that happens there might be the influence those trapped in said server.

anyway basically when you delete Kinito you are not only deleting him, but also a little under 50 other people.

I’m not sure if Kinito’s pull people into computer powers are one-way or if he just doesn’t want to let anyone go. So it’s unclear if these people ever could get out. But even if they couldn’t, again, Kinito’s not a total monster. He wants to make the comfiest prisons possible because he’s built to be a people pleaser like that. Even if they couldn’t get their old lives back, his collection of “friends” could’ve been given a much kinder fate.

but instead they all died with him.
