The Legionary were the soldiers from the ancient Roman Empire until the empire fell.

There were "Legionary" states in the past this is one I know of.

National Legionary Romania, Romania was involved during ww2 fighting on the axis side for most of the war until the king Michael coup happened, and then Romania swapped to a Pro-Allied Government. Of course this would not save Romania from being a Soviet Satellite state

The Iron Guard party, the party/political movement that led Legionary Romania. They were Fascist, anti capitalist, anti communist, anti democratic and anti Semitic. Paramilitary group. The Movement its self was founded by Corneliu Zelea Codreanu in 1927 as the "legion of archangle micheal" the founder was assassinated in 1938. The Movement widely continued after he's death as a "legion" this movement was greatly tied with Romanian Orthodox and Christian mysticism.

How does this tie into ideas of a legion? The Iron Guard referred to them self's as a legion, thinking of them selves as "strong willed" thats what the poster I made refers to, creating a strong willed unstoppable army.

Hey so you know that feeling when you're an Hetalia fanfic writer and you are writing this huge historical piece and you write your beginning that has to do with this obscure event that no one on the internet really knows that much about so you just make most of it up and it ends up being like 5 pages long but you're still pretty happy with it because it's awesome and then you look up information for your next part and then you find it. The ONE source in the ENTIRE INTERNET that knows how that beginning thing went down! And so then you have to write the WHOLE FIVE FUCKING PAGES OVER AGAIN because now it's HISTORICALLY INACCURATE and you have a reputation to uphold!

 Me, after finding out that, not only was my beginning not historically accurate, there was also a ton of necessary information BEFORE that and my writing piece was now useless.

Henrietta and Roman Vale are the grandchildren of Vlad the Impaler, who had sold his soul to Lucifer in exchange for power. Lucifer granted Vlad super strength, speed, and powers, but in order to keep his gifts and keep his eternal life, he had to drink human blood and he couldn’t go into the sunlight. 

The archangel, Michael, couldn’t stand for this imbalance of nature, so he confronted Vlad’s brother, Radu cel Frumos, with a proposition. Gifts similar to his brothers, but remaining pure. He was granted similar gifts, but instead of being sustained with human blood, he must drink the blood of animals. Drinking human blood would bring their kind to insanity. 

These species became known as malum and bonum vampires and a war began between the two for centuries to come. 

After the death of Vlad, his son Micheal took the throne, determined to keep the malum in power. For hundreds of years Micheal ruled and would marry women only to produce heirs, then the women would die in a tragic death. Of these heirs were Roman and Henrietta. 

The two grew up together after Roman’s mother caught wind of Micheal’s treachery, remaining in hiding and going on to remarry and have another son. Micheal soon caught up with them and Roman’s mother, step-father and brother were killed in the fire. Roman was also almost killed, but instead, his father changed him into a malum vampire. Roman’s special gift was he had the ability to make you see what he wanted. He, along with Henrietta and his best friend, Xander and girlfriend, Maria, escaped from Micheal once more, going again into hiding, Xander being a bonum vampire. After a mishap with a panicked horse, Henrietta was trampled and on the brink of death. To save her life, Xander changed her. Henrietta found herself falling in love with Xander. Henrietta’s gift was that she could control minds, much like that of her father. 

While they were travelling, Henrietta found Xander and Maria together, which infuriated Henrietta. She returned to her father to take her place as heir and he even turned her from a bonum vampire into a malum and she took her place on the throne of Transylvania, soon to become Romania. 

Many questioned her leadership being a woman, and many nations would refuse to meet with her due to it, so she took on the nickname Henri for short to fit herself among kings. She is known as a ruthless leader, ruling her nation for over a hundred years.
