Yesss I've noticed this in fanart more than once as well! And I love it!! :D Now I can't play or watch Pokémon without making that connection, makes me kinda feel obligated to make it one of my new fave mons <3 But I HAVE to ask. How did y'all come up with that idea of connecting the two? Was there some Anime episode or meme or ANYthing that I don't know of, or did you just go purely by vibes? :D If the latter is the case: did anyone ever think of Pumpkaboo?? The little vampire teeth and the ahoge?? :D

In honor of Hellsing Abridged coming out (and my continued obsession with Pokemon) have a RVW with a Noibat.

ANYWAY: Who is what pokemon!

So first off. All of 1-A are first stage evolution because they're baby.

Izuku - Oh boy. Short version: Mew 3 but thinks he's a Shaymin. Long story will swing back to it eventually

Katsuki - Riolu! I had narrowed it down to Riolu, Cyndaquil, or Mankey, all for appearance and vibes and some in the power category. But then it was pointed out that Riolu evolves through /friendship. and I just. The narrative there? Beautiful.

Ochako - Cleffa! They're from space!

Kiri - Sandshrew! I knew he'd be a ground or rock type and Sandshrew's a vibe and they're all pointy, but also because my AU has Kiri and Tetsutetsu as siblings I wanted something to fit both of them as they'd be the same thing, and main Sandshrew is ground but the Alolan one is part Steel for Tetsutetsu

Shoto - Vulpix, still a Chimera so he's both Kantonian and Alolan.

Denki - Pichu. Like how can I not he already gets the Pikachu jokes but Pichu is extra baby and can't yet control the electricity!

Jiro - Noibat! Just fuckin look at it!

Tsu - Froakie. Frog!!! Will eventually be a Greninja and look at the similarities!

Fumikage - Murkrow. Once again. Obvious choice.

Hagakure - Kecleon! Invisible baby!

Ojiro - Aipom! Monkey! Tail is a hand!

Sato - Milcrey but like. Big one.

Momo - Eevee. Simple but many possibilities!

Himiko - Zorua. Known for disguising!

Mei - Tinkaton. It just. It's pink and it builds weapons!!!!

Monoma - Smeargle. he copies things!

All Might - Palafin. IT'S LITERALLY THE ONLY PERFECT CHOICE

Recovery Girl - Blissey. Nurse pokemon!!

Present Mic - Chatot. I have to make the gay bird be the other gay bird it's a pmd story I have to!!

Going into the Todoroki drama for a second:

Enji is an Incineroar(Seriously LOOK AT IT).

Rei is an Alolan Ninetails, chosen because 1.) compatible with Incineroar and 2.) can make both fire and ice kids.

We're /kinda/ breaking some of how in-game genetics and abilities work for the kids to match their canon powers.

Toya is a Kantonian Ninetails but he got Snow Cloak instead of Flash Fire

Fuyumi is all Alolan

Natsuo is the opposite of Toya, being Alolan but having Flash Fire instead of Snow Cloak.

Shoto, as mentioned above, is a Chimera. So he got both the Kanto and Alola forms in one.

Swinging back to Izuku's bullshit: Basically Dad for One but with me yoinking from my other Monster AU.

AfO being a very pissed off Mewtwo. Has become the thing he hated and tried to make another Mew, resulting in Izuku. Baby Izuku ends up teleporting his ass out of there and is found by Inko(a Shaymin). Imprints on her as a mother figure and unconsciously uses the transform ability to copy her form. Inko does not know what happened there but that is a baby and it's hers now damn it. Izuku knows Inko isn't his mom but isn't aware that he's not a Shaymin.

I saw that fuecoco wasn’t available in this game so I just went mudkip.

My team right now is:marshtomp,trubbish,noibat,igglybuf,munna,and a shiny raticate.

Really considering replacing noibat though,I nearly lost to the mega tangrowth because air cutter couldn’t do enough to take it out(thank goodness for trubbish)

Victoria is pretty cool.she kinda gives me shonen protag vibes.too bad that she got FUCKING SNATCHED BY BOREALIS(when I catch you and your crobat you mother-) but right now she’s my favorite of the rivals.

Cain kinda gave me creep vibes at first,but now he looks more like a kokichi Ouma type character to me,just with less fucking around.(the purple especially rubs this in)

Fern is interesting.i don’t like how much he belittles you but I really like his sass and his dynamic with Florinia.also rowlett.

I LOVE JULIA.i have a soft spot for overly peppy character that have the wrong priorities at all times and she is one of them.

I also love florinia.her matter of speaking is so endearing and the way she bounces off fern and Julia is amazing.

I don’t have many thoughts on amaria yet.

Same with any of the meteor admins except for borealis.i want to punt him to the moon and back and then punt him some more.

…is unpleasant a better choice than noivern in the long run?

-Abuela: Nidoqueen! Matriarchal and slightly toxic lol -Julieta: (shiny) Ribombee! Colorful and heals w pollen puff (chansey is kinda bland) -Pepa: Ninetales (drought/sunny day) and pelipper (drizzle/rain dance)! She would always have them follow her around and whenever a weather she (*cough* abuela *cough*) doesn’t want appears they can change it. (castform doesn’t give me pepa vibes) -Bruno: Sigilyph or inkay! Both can (probably) see into the future and are (sorta) outcasts… (plus ratata and stuff)

-Dolores: Whismur or noibat! Both have really advanced hearing and are more quiet. -Camilo: Zorua or zoroark! Ditto is also an option, but the other two play more pranks which fits better. -Antonio: Literally anything, but torrocat or maybe toucannon?

-Isabella: Maractus and cacnea! They’re cacti :) (also, they’re a duo. Isabella will kill u if u separate them) -Luisa: Comfey or galarian rapidash! Comfey is a healer and (sorta) calming. Or unicorn -Mirabel: Eevee! They’ve got potential!

Sticking with the pink theme for c!Taffie he could have a Primarina or a Luvdisc both of which are pinkish watertypes. Luvdisc is also said to be a sign of true love which is ironic considering Taffie and electra’s current strained relationship. For other people I think Isa would have a Crobat and a Noibat, vampire bat theme going strong, as well as some kind of food/baking Pokemon like an Alcreme. For some reason I think Yahi would have a Hoopa, maybe in it’s bound form like not a full on god but still a powerfully being of chaos and mischief. Ruepa gives me Smeargle vibes and Fluctra would have an alolan Meowth/Persian to parallel Electra’s Liepard.

i love luvdisc for taffie, fits so well. mr "brains over brawn" cares not for how strong a pokemon is, but how they match up aesthetically. he trusts in his own battle strategy and ability to train his team enough that he can just choose whatever pokemon he wants i think

i agree with ur isa takes, and may i raise you: gligar. gliscor also works, tho i feel like gligar is cuter and more childishly mischievous than gliscors sorta... maliciousness. i think isa would benefit from having a small vaguely-sentient animal that causes some easily fixable chaos, u know? i imagine they meet immediately after electra disbands the castrators, bc isas in a dark place and the gligar helps her

alcremie works suuuuper well for isa, theres also polteageist that looks super funky and i think isa would like one. she might not keep it in her party at all times but it helps out around the bakery n stuff ^_^

ooo i definitely see yahi with hoopa. i agree that the hoopa should be bound most of the time, but yahi is also an interdimensional being (? to my knowledge?) so... maybe not all the time. maybe sometimes it turns into a god! :D but most of the time it is just causing problems on purpose

i can see ruepa and smeargle! its a pokemon thats obv been inspired by the concept of creativity, and ruepa is nothing if not.... creative? i also think its fun that smeargle cant learn shadow moves, its kinda like, well, 1. shadows and assassins are obv entwined and 2. shadows are dark, and theres that whole phrase about "living in the dark" for when you lack information. since smeargle cant learn shadow moves and hes a very bright guy, yknow, no ones living in the dark. or something

fluctra having alolan meowth makes my heart hurt bc its a dark type. she still hasnt let go of the castrators, as much as she tries to force herself to move on. sorry. uh yeah thats.... thats a good choice gulfie......

Sure, I thought of teams for the 7 plus Nico and Reyna... but once I got going I also had to make ones for Thalia and Will, then other characters too! I’m lucky I stopped myself from making ones for the godly parents.

OK, reasons under here because this is a lot-

Percy; naturally lots of Water types. I think if Kingdra being like a hippocampus, Dewott is basically Percy personified, he obviously had to get Honedge for his sword, Vanillite and Muk are his ice/poison powers, and Houndour is his friendly hellhound. Kyogre is the big bad sea monster, so that fits

Annabeth; if I didn’t give her a Noctowl I wouldn’t be doing this right, Espeon and Ralts are both Psychic types so they work for her brains, Ninetales and (Alola) Raichu kinda go with how she looks (blonde and pretty, but powerful), and Kecleon can disappear just like when she puts on her hat. Uxie is the knowledge legendary, so she’d definitely have one

Jason; Electric types for sure, like Ampharos and Joltik, and Zebstrika is a bit like Tempest, since Jason flies he also gets some birds like Swablu (who is literally like a cute little piece of the sky) and Pidgeotto, plus Bisharp is like a tough soldier. Zapdos is the perfect blend of Electric and Flying

Piper; she’s resourceful she she gets Linoone (it can learn almost attack), Sylveon is the epitome of beautiful with an edge, it is probably mandatory for all Aphrodite kids to get a Luvdisc, Chespin and Tropis represent the Cornucopia, and Riolu is her inexperience in battle but great fighting capability. Meloetta is the perfect choice for charmspeak

Hazel; Sableye is a Ghost who also loves gems, Mismagius gives off magical mist vibes, Rapidash is for Arion, Cubone is her connection to the earth (also bones for the underworld kid), Amaura is another cute precious stone critter, and Absol is the misunderstood bad-luck. Diancie is everything about the wealth of the earth

Frank; Ditto for obvious shape-shifting reasons, Ursaring and Phanpy for the bear and elephant forms, Machoke for when he goes through Ares puberty, Makuhita because Frank is an adorable fighter, and Decidueye for the archery. Victini is the victory mascot, but also a Fire type, so ironic significance 

Nico; Ghost types for the ghost king, Duskull is just him as a Pokemon, Haunter and Chandelure for his intimidating spooky powers, Yamask and Phantump for the frightened kid he started out as, and Tyranitar (because it can eat its way through a mountain, and Nico literally got out of the deepest depths of Tratarus). Why wouldn’t he have a big goth bat like Lunala 

Will; Solroc because obviousness, also Sunflora for the same reason, Jigglypuff is the sweet side of music Noibat is for the harsher sounds, Blissey is a healer, Blaziken is lanky and athletic. Solgaleo so he matches Nico

Leo; Metagross for the papa Forger god, Sentret because it is a little Swiss-army-knife Pokemon, c’mon it is named Litleo I had to, Magnemite for the machines, Charmeleon and Volcarona for the Fire abilities. Rotom is the perfect thing for a gizmo obsessed kid

Support characters; Skiddo for Grover, Bellossom for Juniper, Bewear for Tyson (I guess I could’ve gone with Dusclops, but Tyson is so lovable), Fletchling for Ella, Meowth and Yungoose for the Stoll brothers, Delcatty for Silena, Scizor for Beckendorf (big strong Steel type made sense), Emboar for Clarisse, Suicune for Calypso (a very pretty Water type that also controlls the wind), and Delphox for Rachel Elizabeth Dare

Reyna; both Lycanroc for her gold and silver dogs, Spearow for it shall become a regal bird, Shuppet for he ability to inspire emotions in others, Minccino because she used to work at the spa, and Gallade because she will wreck you. Verizion might not literally be a unicorn, but it has the same majestic quality

Thalia; Luxray is both Electric and really punk looking so she’d love it, Sudowoodo because it looks like a tree but is not a tree, Unbreon for punk and night time reasons, Elekid for her brash and sparky personality, Aaron for her love of silver, and Lunatone because every Hunter of Artemis needs one. Since she’s more comfortable on the ground than Jason, she gets the Electric beast Raikou

BNHA!Pokemon but this time it's Mystery Dungeon! So they're actual Pokemon instead of just trainers with Pokemon.

It actually works really well because like. Heroes = Explorers. Hero Agencies = Guilds. So on and so forth. UA is basically a training Guild for new Explorers to learn the ropes.

Uh. So who is what Pokemon? Fuck we're gonna get complicated.

One thing of note is that all the kids are first stage Evolutions because ya know. Baby. They're probably going to evolve over the course of the series but I'll list where they start

So like. We're kinda rolling with the fact that the Mystery Dungeon games happen post-Human Apocalypse? (possibly using the events of Detective Pikachu as how that happened?)

Which leads to having AfO being a very old and VERY pissed off Mewtwo.

Part of what he was doing was kind of a cycle of bullshit that involved trying to recreate himself/recreate the original Mew. Which resulted in Izuku being made.

Izuku is unaware of this, as he escaped pretty soon after waking up(probs teleported his ass out lmao). He's lost and confused and his instincts have him use Transform to turn into the nearest other Pokemon, which happens to be Inko who is a Shaymin. Inko thinks she just happened across an abandoned hatchling and goes 'well my baby now!'.

There really isn't a direct translation for being Quirkless with Izuku. I think the best thing would be that since he's not actually a Shaymin and isn't aware he can use transform, Gracidea Flowers have no affect on him. So he gets a bit othered for being a little fucky in that regard. But it's not quite the same.
