DC AU! Where it's an open secret in the magic society that if a place exist long enough, it will manifested itself in some form.

Usually, they live in isolations, not interacting with its people but constantly observing them as they live. Some eccentric lands prefer to live closer to its people but nevertheless, doesn't intervene any misconduct its people may do.

It doesn't matter how sick their action made it become. In the end, it will be one last standing either in its original name or bestowed upon a new one as the prior residents return to them in the soil.

In any case, any supernatural or magic adjacent being worth their salt knows better than interacting with any of them than strictly necessary.

As one eloquently puts it, "To give a shit, is to be chained up and getting leashed."

Unless you're solemnly accepts being its lapdog, it was better to keep your distance.

Then again, cults always exist.
