Students from Northern Michigan University are completing awesome internships! 

Noah Beck is a marketing major from Harbor Springs, Mich. He plans to graduate in December 2018. In order to gain valuable work experience, Noah is interning with Kilwins Harbor Springs this summer.

His internship involves training new employees and gaining hands-on experience in helping to plan community events. He also has the opportunity to work with the marketing chief and coordinators this summer.

“Through my different marketing, management and communication classes, I developed a greater understanding of what actually happens in the workplace,” Noah said. “With this knowledge, and a strong retail background, I was able to communicate my interest in this internship through topical discussion and my previous background/knowledge gathered from NMU.”

Noah enjoys his field of study because of the experience and knowledge of the professors at NMU.

“Given the knowledgeable professors and smaller class sizes, being a marketing major gives you a great opportunity to learn about the field and get your opinion out in class,” Noah said. “The marketing classes always offer a comfortable environment where everyone is welcomed.”
