Unspoken Goodbyes (Kili x Y/N)
overview: Kíli’s infatuation with Tauriel jeopardizes his relationship with his partner. During the Battle of the Five Armies, he faces devastating regret as he realizes its too late where his heart truly belongs.
warning: angst?? third-party interference, death
A/N: inaccuracies
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
The forest of Mirkwood loomed around Thorin’s company like a dark omen. You walked beside Kíli, his hand intertwined with yours, feeling the warmth of his presence. Yet, beneath the surface, an unsettling tension brewed. Kíli was captivated by the elves, and it gnawed at your heart like a slow poison.
When the elves appeared, it was as if the vibrant greens of the forest faded, overshadowed by their ethereal beauty. Legolas, tall and regal, commanded with respect, but it was Tauriel who held Kíli’s gaze. You had noticed Kíli's fascination the moment they met, his curiosity did not go noticed. But you hadn’t worried, not at first. After all, you had weathered worse than a fleeting glance, hadn’t you?
Trapped in the cells of the Elvenkings fortress, captured by the elves, you sat beside Fili, the damp stone cold beneath you, exchanging worried glances. The oppressive silence was broken by snippets of conversation from Kíli’s cell, and your breath caught as Tauriel’s melodic voice drifted through the air. You strained to listen as she spoke with Kíli about the rock his mother had given him, a token of comfort he always kept close.
“It reminds me of home,” Kíli said, his voice soft yet filled with an emotion you couldn’t place. “It’s like a piece of her is always with me.”
Your heart dropped at his words. The tenderness in his voice felt like a dagger piercing through your chest. It stung to realize that you had once been the one who brought him comfort, but now it was Tauriel who stood in that place, bright and captivating.
Jealousy and despair swirled within you as Kíli shared memories of his mother, reminiscing with the elf who had captured his attention. You forced yourself to look away, not wanting to hear any more. You had thought the bond you shared was special, that Kíli’s heart was yours, but in that moment, it felt like you were losing him to someone who seemed so much more enchanting.
Fili noticed your distress and placed a reassuring hand on your shoulder, but it did little to ease the heaviness in your heart.
“He doesn’t see you slipping away,” he murmured, his voice a mix of concern and frustration. “He’s lost in the moment.”
But you couldn’t shake the feeling that Kíli was drifting further away with each passing moment. And when Tauriel spoke again, it confirmed your worst fears—he was captivated by her, and you were merely an afterthought.
Day after day, you caught him looking at her. His laughter was lighter in her presence, his eyes sparking with a fascination you hadn’t seen since before this quest began. It was as though the darkness of the journey lifted when Tauriel was near, and the weight of it crushed you instead.
It wasn’t until Kíli had been injured during a skirmish with orcs, poisoned by an arrow, that everything unraveled. You stayed by his side, holding his hand, but his eyes always seemed to drift elsewhere, waiting for someone else. When Tauriel arrived, glowing with the ethereal light of her magic and saving him, your heart shattered. Kíli murmured something to her, his voice soft and raw as if he was confessing, and you knew, deep in your bones, that whatever had bound him to you was slipping away.
You distanced yourself after that. There were no fights, no declarations—just quiet withdrawal. You told yourself you were being silly, that Kíli was just grateful to Tauriel for saving his life. But it didn’t feel like gratitude; it felt like you were being replaced. When Kíli would ask what was wrong, you’d brush him off with a smile that never reached your eyes.
“Nothing’s wrong,” you’d whisper, turning away before your voice could betray you. But Fili noticed, and so did the others.
One evening, as the company sat around a fire, Fili pulled Kíli aside. “You’re blind, brother. You’re so focused on someone who isn’t yours that you’ve forgotten the one who is.”
Kíli scoffed, defensive. “It’s not like that, Fili. Tauriel… she’s just… different.”
“And what about her?” Fili asked, nodding toward you as you sat alone, away from the others, staring into the flames. “Do you see how you’ve hurt her?”
Kíli’s heart tightened as he followed his brother’s gaze. You were different lately—quieter, more distant—but he hadn’t put the pieces together until now. Guilt gnawed at him, but before he could speak, a call to arms rang out.
The Battle of the Five Armies had begun.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
The chaos of battle was overwhelming. Screams echoed across the battlefield, the clashing of metal, and the roars of orcs filled the air. Kíli fought alongside his kin, but a part of him searched for you, needing to talk to you, to apologize. He had been a fool, blinded by something fleeting and neglecting what was real: you.
But you were nowhere to be found. As time passed, his desperation mounted. His strikes grew wilder, fueled by frantic fear for your safety.
When the battle slowed, he found Fili standing over a body, his face ashen. Kíli’s heart dropped into his stomach as he rushed to his brother’s side.
“No…” Fili whispered, his voice shaking.
Kíli followed his brother’s gaze and saw you. Lying there, your once bright eyes now closed, your skin pale beneath the grime of battle. Blood stained your armor and the fallen snow, a fatal wound that had taken you when he hadn’t been there.
“No… no, no, no!” Kíli dropped to his knees beside you, trembling hands cradling your face. “You can’t be… you can’t…” His voice broke, shattered by grief too powerful to contain.
He had lost you. Not to an orc’s blade, not to the chaos of battle, but because he hadn’t been there when you needed him most. He had failed you long before your body had fallen on this battlefield.
Kíli let out a roar, more pain than rage, as his world collapsed around him. The battle, the quest—none of it mattered. Nothing mattered anymore.
Fili knelt beside him, his own tears falling, but Kíli barely noticed. All he saw was you—your face, once full of life, now still. He pulled you into his arms, rocking back and forth, as if he could somehow bring you back by sheer force of will.
“I’m sorry my dove,” Kíli whispered, his voice breaking. “I should’ve… I should’ve been there. I should’ve never let you go.”
But it was too late. The words he should’ve said, the love he should’ve shown, would never reach you now. He had betrayed you long before Tauriel had entered their lives, and now you were gone.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
As the battle’s final moments played out, Kíli fought with a desperation that had nothing to do with winning. He fought because he had nothing left to lose. Tauriel, who had rushed to help him again, found him amidst the carnage, but he barely acknowledged her presence.
She wasn’t who he wanted. She wasn’t who he needed. He realized, too late, that the only person he had ever truly loved was now beyond his reach.
Kíli fell on the battlefield, not from an enemy's blade but from the weight of his own heartbreak. As he closed his eyes, the last thing he saw was your face, the memory of you smiling at him before everything faded into darkness.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
In the end, it wasn’t an orc that took Kíli’s life. It was regret.

Kìli Durìn x fem!reader
Restless
Hii, this is my first one shot for Kìli Durìn so please keep that in mind and I hope you all enjoy!
Warnings: Fluff
Word count: 2.1k
Summary: You tag along on the quest of the company with your uncle Bilbo and have trouble sleeping along the way. Kìli is there to comfort you.
Run. Run, run, run. Those words repeated in your head as the pattering of your footsteps and the cracking of sticks and branches could be heard throughout the forest. An Orc pack was quickly on your trail as you endured a dangerous quest along with 13 Dwarves, a Hobbit and a wizard. There was no time to look behind you, the anticipation and fear was killing you.
Looking to your right, you saw your uncle Bilbo just feet away from you. Bofur and Bifur weren’t far from him as your left consisted of Fíli and Kíli. The others trailed behind you as your long legs gave you a bit more of an advantage. Gandalf leading the group, urged everyone to keep running for there was another creature quickly on your trail.
All 16 of you quickly rushed to your destination safely, breathless and tired. There, sat a house filled with animals and a large table and plenty of room for everyone.
“Whose house is this Gandalf?” Bilbo asked as he looked around curiously.
“Beorns.” He replied, and uneasy tone filled his words as you looked over to your shoulder and pulled out your canteen. Thankfully you had found shelter, as the last drop fell into your mouth.
“Need more?” Looking up, you saw the young Dwarf Prince handing you his canteen. A small smirk was plastered on his face as he took a seat next to you. Kíli was different from the others, though he was young and didn’t have much self esteem, you thought he was the most charming dwarf you’ve ever met. You loved a man that could make you laugh, someone who still was passionate about his family, and loyal to those he only had just met. The laughter that oozed from him was contagious, no matter the situation, you could count on him to lighten the mood.
You admired the way he had kept his hair, a small part was pulled back into a beautiful clip. A few pieces had fallen out due to the roughness of the journey but it never seemed to be too messed up or look bad in any way. You adored the way his bangs sat gently on his face, you’ve never seen someone pull off such a hairstyle before. No matter the day or what he went through, it never looked dirty or oily, and how you wished you could be the one to braid his hair.
Shaking the thoughts from your head, you used your peripheral vision, and looked down at the young dwarfs hands as they tapped repeatedly against his trousers. You knew since the moment you met him back at the Shire that Kíli was a restless and daring man, and that excited you. Only, he seemed more anxious than restless right now.
“What’s wrong Kíli?” You said tilting your head towards him, a smile creeping onto your lips for reassurance. The Prince turned to face you, he furrowed his eyebrows playfully and returned the smile.
“Nothing Miss (Y/N), just happy to be here.” He shrugged off the conversation, shaking his head slightly as a way to end it. But before you could say anything else, Fíli motioned his brother to help set up the bedrolls.
You clenched your jaw slightly and let out a soft sigh. The nights with the company had been rough for you, sleepless even. You feared for everyone, worried that some people won’t make it back alive. You had no other family, no where else to go, and the thought of anything happening to Bilbo brought you to tears. In fact, the thought of anything happening to any of your newly found friends made your stomach turn and your body shiver.
The tiredness was certainly there and you wished, hoped, just once you would be able to have a good nights rest. Especially tonight of all nights, being in a house with warmth and some privacy from the cursed world, this would be the best environment. Tonight you will sleep, no matter what it takes; you thought to yourself. Typically you would set your bedroll next to Bilbo except everyone else seemed to have the same idea; great.
Majority of The Company were already fast asleep, the loud snores filled the room but always seemed oddly comforting. Gandalf was smoking pipe weed in a corner, too zoned out to care for Fìli and Kìli who were goofing off near the fire place. Kìli’s brown wavy hair seemed to glisten from the light of the fire, turning into an amber like color as it highlighted certain strands. His eyes looked as though the light was being captured and held in them, the green in his eyes shined as beautiful as the shiniest green aventurine. If jewels were as bright and beautiful as his eyes I’d be obsessed with them too. Was all you could think of as you sat there fantasizing about the young Prince.
When you first met Kìli at the Shire you couldn’t help but be enchanted by his beauty; his charm and charisma. The way he was so adventurous and cheerful. Such a bright soul with so much love and wonder. But how foolish would it be to fall in love with a Prince trying to reclaim his home? There was no time for love, and even if there was, why would he love you? Half human and half hobbit. You didn’t have the height of a hobbit but you weren’t tall either. Your feet weren’t hobbit shaped, but you still were as stealthy as any other hobbit. There was nothing special about you, so why would he want you?
Kìli was to be king someday, there was no chance he would be allowed to be with anyone besides a dwarvin maiden. At least that’s what you told yourself. The mere thought of rejection from him made your heart hurt and became heavy, falling to the floor in sadness. Perhaps this will be another restless night after all.
Kìli turned his head in your direction, still engaging with his brother but paid no attention to the conversation. He was fixated on you as you adjusted your bedroll in the corner, far away from everyone else. At this point, he had completely drowned out any noise and wondered: why is it you were alone? Why did your expression look meek and sad? What could such a pretty girl, with big (y/c/e) be upset over?
“Kìli?” Fìli said, snapping his brother out of his trance. Kìli shot his head back to his brother with a surprised expression, as if he forgot he was in the company of him.
“Hm? Oh, yes! Um-“ Kìli stammered and cleared his throat as he tried to recall the last topic of discussion. Fìli smiled at his little brother and put his hand on Kìli’s shoulder, bringing him in slightly.
“Go.” Fìli whispered, tilting his head in your direction. “Go accompany her.” The words coming from his brothers mouth made Kìli start to sweat in his palms while he looked back and forth between you and him. Taking in a deep breath, Kìli sternly nodded and tensed up his chest. Thinking that if maybe he appeared more confident, he would actually become so.
As Kìli picked up his bedroll and slowly made his way over to you, he studied your body language. Your eyes blankly stared at the ceiling above as you clutched your blanket with both hands. You were lost in thought and hadn’t noticed the Prince making his way over to you.
“Mind if I join you?” Without letting you reply, Kìli had already set down his bedroll next to yours, leaving about a foot of distance between you two. You wondered why he chose to sit so far away but of course, you two were just friends. The thought of that made you roll your eyes as you looked away in annoyance, but seeing Kìli sit next to you with crossed legs and a big smile seemed to cure that annoyance.
“Don’t you want to get some rest?” You smirked, turning onto your side to face him while resting your head on your palm.
Kìli returned the same playful grin, “Don’t you?” He said with a charming laugh. How you loved that laugh of his, making your heart skip a beat and your stomach fill with butterflies each time. It was like a gift, so special and so unique, nothing else could beat his laughter.
“I’d love to, but-“ You paused, biting the inside of your cheek. Kìli furrowed his brows and tilted his head in confusion. “It’s nothing.” You said with a small fake laugh. You thought it would be best to not trouble him with your worries. You quickly looked away from him and went to lay on your back.
Kìli clenched his jaw with frustration, confused as to why you would not trust him. Why you could not open up to him. This entire trip Kìli had tried to get your attention, one way or another, whether it was to make you laugh or helping you fight your battles. Though to you it seemed like he didn’t think you could do it on your own. In reality, he did not want to see you get hurt.
“Confide in me,” Hovering over you as Kìli said that, he smiled so gently. His actions made your eyes widen and cheeks burn red. “Tell me what is on your mind.”
Your heart was beating a million miles an hour as you tried to stammer the words.
“I’ve just had a hard time trying to fall asleep.” You finally mustered the courage to speak, still locked into the young Princes eyes. “This whole trip.” You added. It wasn’t a lie by any means, you just thought it would be embarrassing to truly let him know that you were scared.
“Perhaps I could be of service, Miss Burglar.” His choice of words sent fire down your spine as you squeezed the blanket so tight you thought your hands would shatter.
“H-How so?” Your voice was quiet and shaky while Kìli’s smile never seemed to fade.
“May I?” Kìli’s voice was as sharp but tender and it wasn’t intimidating; instead you found yourself lost in it whenever he spoke. Losing yourself in each syllable, you were too shocked to noticed he had moved his bedroll completely next to yours so that not even a centimeter was between you two. “I know we have not known each other for long, but I cannot get you out of my head (Y/N). Forgive me if this is too much, but, I’m-“
“I loved you since the moment I saw you Kìli Durìn.” These words startled you, for you didn’t mean to have said it out loud. Quickly you covered your mouth, face still piping hot.
Kìli let out a soft chuckle as he looked away for a split moment. He could not believe that a woman of your beauty would love such an immature dwarf as himself. However he was so pleased that you did.
“May I hold you, (Y/N)?”
“Please.” You said, still in disbelief as to what was happening. Kìli smiled to himself as he slowly laid himself down, putting an arm around you securely. He used the arm that held you and pulled you in closely to him with minimal effort. Turning you onto your side as he did so. As the two of you adjusted yourselves, you couldn’t help but graze his forearm and biceps. Despite Kìli being so young, the muscles that he carried were astonishing. So strong and so gentle at the same time.
Kìli noticed your attraction and laughed, pulling you in so close it felt as you two would merge together. He buried his head into the nook of your neck, taking in a deep breath as he smelled your scent of fresh flowers and what appeared to be a hint of mint.
For once throughout the whole trip, you found yourself quickly drifting off without a single toss or turn. It was such a peaceful feeling and knowing the man you loved felt the same made everything seem ethereal. You hoped this night would never end and prayed that when you woke up he would still be right beside you.
Just as you were about to fall asleep, the dwarf Prince leaned in, whispering slightly as he said, “Amrâlimê, you have my heart for eternity.”
With that the two of you fell asleep, smiles carved into your faces as though you were statues. The feeling of pure love and gratitude was the last thing you had felt while you held the Princes large and rough hands in yours.
The end!!! Hope you all enjoyed <3

~ <3 ~
“Well, what do we have here?”
Kaia squeaks in surprise at the new voice, and both she and Kili look over to find the source of the voice.
Fili stands a few feet away, leaning against a tree. He looks down at the two, head tilted slightly.
“Are we having a little tussle?”
Kili scoffs, raising himself onto his elbows.
“No.” He says indignantly, raising his eyebrows at his brother. Fili smirks, and Kili sits back to pull up his trousers, blushing slightly.
Kaia raises herself onto her elbows, looking between the two brothers.
Fili looks back to her, eyes travelling down her dishevelled form. Her skirts are still hitched around her hips, displaying her legs. Fili deeply inhales at the sight of them, before looking over at his brother.
“Well done, Kili. Finally told her you care about her?” Fili asks, his voice tight.
Kili looks at her, and gives her a small smile.
“There wasn’t much talking…” Kaia chuckles, holding Kili’s eyes as he blushed even more. “But I got the gist.”
“Ah, young love…” Fili chuckles, “What would Amad say about you defiling your lady before putting a braid in her hair, Kee?”
Kili scoffs, leaning back slightly. “Amad will be happy I at least found someone... my One. How far have you gotten with that?”
At that, Fili smiles too. He gives Kaia a significant look, and her breath hitches. Fili’s eyes travel down her body.
Kaia watches Fili, before looking over at Kili. She was shocked to hear me call her his One, but her heart fluttered at the thought. She'd had a crush on Kee since the first week of their travels, specifically since he gave her a flower with a blush on his face. And they proceeded to fall halfway down a hill. He was truly one of a king, and she knew she was falling for him.
Fili's next words brought her back to the present.
“As long as you made her cum, I see no problem…” Fili shrugs, crossing his arms across his chest.
Kili and Kaia are silent. Kaia avoids Kili’s eyes, clearing her throat. Fili stands still, looking between the two of them.
“Wait.... you made her cum, didn’t you, Kee?” Fili asks his brother, eyebrows raised.
Kili is silent, playing with a blade of grass next to him. Kaia looks over at Fili, who is staring shocked at his little brother.
“Kili. We were raised better than that!” His disappointment is palpable, and if it wasn’t for the fact that both princes looked completely serious, this conversation would be hilarious.
“Fee, it’s no big deal.” Kaia states, sitting up. She pokes her foot at Kili, who looks at her in confusion and surprise. She shrugs, looking over at Fili.
The golden haired prince gapes at her. “No big deal?!” He says, incredulous. He walks over to the pair, crouching down.
“Lass, I know you’re used to the way of men. But, as we’ve pointed out, our ways are much different.” Fili says, seriously. “Dwarven women are precious to us. More than any gem. Making them happy is one of the most important things to us! This is why dwarrowdams have so many lovers. Satisfaction is a must.”
Kaia stares wide eyed at him, utterly confused. Both he and Kili are looking at her in earnest, expressions grave.
“I’m not a dwarrowdam.”
“If you are a dwarrows love, then you are practically one of us. You have the body of man, but your soul is made of the same stuff as us dwarves.” Fili nods.
“Now. Let us get one thing straight, ‘ibin abnâmul (beautiful gem). If a dwarf cannot satisfy his One, then she is completely within her right to seek satisfaction elsewhere.”
Kaia stares at him, confused once again. Both Fili and Kili are watching her, eyes urging her on.
“What do you mean?” She asks, breaking the silence that had grown.
“Kaia, it would be my honour to be your lover.” Fill says, taking her hand in his own.
Kaia gapes at him, before looking at Kili.
“But-”
“Please, amrâlimê.” Kili pleads, taking her other hand in his own. His eyes and words are sincere. “Let my brother take care of you.”
“You’re… you’re okay with this… your brother, becoming my lover?”
“My heart is yours, ghivashel (treasure of all treasures). After tonight, I would be honoured to put a braid in your hair, if you would put one in mine.” Kaia’s heart warms to this, and beams at Kili. The two share a soft kiss.
Fili watches the two, his own smile gracing his lips. Looking at him, Kaia creases her eyebrows.
“You wouldn’t feel weird… or inferior?” She asks Kili, searching his eyes for any sign of discomfort. But, all she finds is love.
“It is an honour to know your lady is desired, to know she is loved by many. I want you to embrace our ways. I want you to never spend a day unsatisfied.” Kili murmurs, reaching his hand up to cup her face.
He shares a meaningful look with Fili. “It would not be odd for us, as we trust each other completely.”
The brothers share a smile, before pressing their foreheads together, before Kili looks at her and winks.
“Plus, we have always shared everything.” He teased, his hand moving to trace along her bare thigh.
“But.” Fili starts, “If you are uncomfortable, or you do not wish to take a lover, or if you do not wish for me to be one of them, that is completely fine.” He brings her hand up to his mouth, kissing her knuckles. “I care for you as my brothers One, nothing will change that. Please, do not feel pressured, sweet girl.”
Kaia is moved, tears prickling in her eyes. The love she feels from both of these brothers is something she has never dreamt of experiencing. She loves them both, in equal measure but in different ways. And she desires them both...
“I would be honoured to be yours, Kili.” Kaia says, watching as Kili beams, before turning to Fili, “And I would be honoured to have you as my lover, Fili.”
Said prince smiled brightly at her, a dimple forming underneath his moustache braids. He leans forward and presses his forehead to hers. Kili kisses her hand, and Kaia feels her whole body glowing with happiness at this turn of events.
Pulling back, the older Durin prince looks over Kaia’s body. Kaia feels herself blush, her cunt fluttering at his heated gaze.
“Now that we’ve gotten all of that sappy shit out of the way…” Fill murmurs, looking over at his brother, “Let me show you how to properly pleasure a lass.”
Kaia giggles as Fili leans forward and steals a kiss, trailing his lips over her jaw, down her neck and gently bites her shoulder.
File crawls on top of her, gliding his hands over her shoulders, and across her chest. Kaia moans as his fingers touch her breasts over her corset. Fili chuckles into her shoulder.
“Sensitive, are we?”
“Stop teasing me, you fucker.” Kaia groans. Both brothers chuckle lowly at this, and as Fili moves his head down to her chest, Kaia watches as Kili leans back on his elbows, dragging his hand lazily over his crotch. He winks at her, taking his lower lip between his teeth.
The sight of watching him fondle his growing bulge, and feeling Fili drag his teeth over her clothes nipples make Kaia whimper, clenching her knees together to get some friction to her core.
File grabs at the top of her corset, tearing it open to give him access to her tits. She gasps, arching her back. The prince damn near groaned as he eyed her heaving breasts, taking a nipple between his lips. He sucked hard, making Kaia moan and squirm below him. He flicks the other nipple with his finger, his other hand moving to shuck up her skirt even further up her body.
His skilled finger found her cunt immediately, tracing his fingers across her sensitive slit.
“Fili, fuck!” Kaia groans, bringing her fist up to her mouth to bite down on her knuckles.
“Let me hear you, badgûna (lady of my dreams). Tell me what you need.” File groaned around her breast, moving further down her to press kisses along her stomach.
“File please… I need you… touch me…”
“As you wish, sweet girl.”
Fili plunged two fingers into her, pressing into her until he was knuckle deep. She gasped and moaned low, eyes rolling back at the combined feeling of his fingers on her breast, his lips on her stomach and his digits pumping into her.
File scissored his fingers into her, adding a third as her cunt began to grip him harder. She was a moaning, writhing mess as he dropped his mouth lower. Pushing up her skirt, his golden mane disappeared between her legs.
“FILI!” She screamed, as his lips latched onto her clit and sucked, hard. Stars appeared in front of her, as an earth-shattering orgasm hit her. She went silent, unable to form words as Fili continued to suck, four fingers pumping into her pulsing cunt as she came in waves over his face.
Kaia arched off the ground, hand moving to his hair pulling hard as he overstimulated her poor clit. He sucked and licked at her like she was the elixir of life, tasting her and urging her to give him more, he himself groaning as she tugged on his scalp.
Kaia opened her eyes to look at the stars above, vision blurry as her body built up to another orgasm, painfully on the precipice.
She moved her eyes from the sky, travelling across the landscape until they fell on Kili.
He was on his knees a few feet away, slightly hunched over as he fisted his cock. He was red-faced, mouth open wide as he pumped himself hard, his cock red between his white knuckled grip. He watched her writhing body, before turning his eyes to hers.
Immediately, he let out a loud groan, staring her in the eyes as his body shuddered, his cock releasing ropes of cum onto his hand and stomach.
He slumped over, still fisting his cock as he shook.
The sight alone made her cum again. She bit her lip to stop herself screaming out again, arching her back until she could see the world around her turn upside down. Her body erupted, her muscles spasming as she fell into complete bliss.
File gently played with her whilst she came down from her high. Waves of pleasure cascaded through her body like flashes of starlight.
She loosened her grip on his hair, running her fingers through it to bring her back to reality.
“How do you feel, ghivashel?” Fili asks, resting a hand on her cheek. Kaia lifts her own hand up, resting it atop his own. She is sweating and exhausted, but her heart is filled.
Yet, she still was not completely satisfied.
Looking over Fili’s dishevelled person, she noted his half-lidded eyes and rosy cheeks. His mouth is covered in her release, his moustache braids damp. His clothes are askew, his coat pushed slightly down his arms and his shirt slightly unbuttoned, revealing thick golden hair across his pecs. Travelling her eyes further, she bit her lip taking in the bulge between his legs.
“You’re so good with your mouth, madtubirzu…(golden heart)” Fili’s eyes and smile widened at the pet name, unaware that she had taken time to learn some Khuzdul during their journey.
Kaia smirked mischieously, reaching down to grab at Fili’s erection. “…but how are you with this?”
Fili grins devilishly, leaning down to press his lips to hers. His kiss was slower than his brothers, expertly dancing his lips over her own. She continued to grope him through his trousers, and he ran his hands through her hair in response, as he growled low in this throat.
He rises up to his elbows, looking over his shoulder at his brother.
“Are you watching, Kee?” He calls.
Kaia looks over towards Kili, who is now sat reclined against the soil, trousers done up again as he watched his brother and his lover.
“I thought you were going to show me how to pleasure her, Fee, not how to tease her and act like an ass…” Kili chuckled, winking at Kaia. She bit her lip at the brotherly teasing, enjoying their dynamic.
“Big words from a dwarrow who came the second he got his end away!” Fili sniggers, throwing Kaia a wink. Kili goes to say something else.
“Too much talking , not enough shagging!” Kaia groans, glaring good-naturedly at her boys.
Fili looks down at her, mouth open in faux-shock. “Wow Kaia, you’ve got quite a mouth on you.”
“And she knows how to use it…” Kili drawls, biting his lip.
“Alright, alright. She’s right, too much talking.” Fili leans down slightly to grab her by the backs of her thighs. She squeals as he lifts her legs, bending them and pressing her knees to his chest.
On impulse, she tries to shut her knees together, but Fili slides himself between them, trapping himself against her. He grinds his hard, clothed length against her, rubbing against her clit. Kaia gasps, staring up at him with blown out pupils.
Fili smirks at her reaction, nuzzling his nose to hers in a nose kiss. They share a smile, before Fili sits back on his knees, undoing the ties of his trousers.
“You might want to hold onto something, lass…” He groans, pulling out his cock and stroking it at the sight of her splayed out for him.
His dick is beautiful. Slightly shorter than Kili’s but thicker and curved slightly. Fili grabs her hips, pulling her up slightly as he looms over her.
“…I’m not going to go easy on you.” With that, he thrusts into her fully.
Kaia screams, throwing her head back as he fills her instantly.
He starts fucking her hard and fast, hooking her knees around his arms to open herself fully up to him. He sets a pace which is harsh, pulling her up and down his length in tandem with his own thrusts.
Above her, Fili groans and pants, staring down at her as sweat beads onto his forehead. Kaia stares up at him, mouth hanging open as she takes everything he gives her.
His hips hit her own at an angle, bumping against her sensitive clit every time he thrusts into her. Kaia can feel her head spinning and the coil inside her tightening with every punishing thrust.
Fili lets go of her knees, in favour of grabbing her ankles, lifting and stretching them up to place them against his shoulders. He leans down, foldering her in half under him, hitting her at a deeper angle.
Kaia’s vision goes blurry, digging her fingers into his tunic and becoming a writhing mess beneath this beautiful dwarf.
The new position has Fili hitting a specific spot inside her over and over again, bringing her closer and closer to yet another earth shattering end. Fili holds his forehead against hers, his hot breath fanning her face and their own sweat mingling.
Movement catches Kaia’s attention to her left, and she turns her face to watch as Kili lies down next to the humping pair. He watches her face, biting his lip as she smiles at him with a blissed expression.
“My beautiful girl…” Kili murmurs.
Fili continues thrusting into Kaia, pressing his sweaty forehead into her shoulder as his thrusts became more erratic.
“Kee, play with her clit.” Fili groans, his own hands too busy with playing with her tits and grabbing her hair in a vice like grip.
Kili doesn’t need to be told twice, he reaches between them and starts rubbing her clit in figures of eight, nuzzling into the other side of her neck. One of Kaia’s hands detangles from Fili’s tunic to grasp onto Kili’s unoccupied hand, and she feels him kiss her neck.
The coil inside her tightens almost painfully, and she can feel herself on the precipice once again
“I’m- I’m going to-”
“Cum, ‘ibin abnâmu. I want to feel you cum on my cock.” Fili moans, fucking her with abandon.
“Cum for us, Amrâlimê!” Kili pants, sucking on her pulse point and rubbing his hand against her clit.
Kaia does just that. Throwing her head back and letting out a silent scream, she loses herself in her third orgasm of this amazing night.
Kili kisses up her neck, kissing her cheek, her temple, her forehead and then her nose. She looks back down at him, and he gives her a dazzling smile.
Fili lets out a groan from on top of her, and she feels how his cock pulses inside of her as he finishes, filling her up.
She drags her hand through his hair, forcing his head back to look into her eyes.
Blue eyes meet her own, equally blissed out, ones. He gives her a smile, kissing her gently before pulling out of her, causing them to both sigh.
Both brothers collapse on either side of her, taking each of her hands in their own.
Kaia feels Fili’s seed slipping out of her, covering the ground beneath her. She lets out a contented sigh, excited to have a wash soon…

Angst comfort mega combo
Pairing: Kili x Reader
Rating || Genres || Warnings: T+ Romance. Angst. Comfort. A bit of fighting and a bit of trauma but thats it.
A/N: Moving from one city to the other really takes it out of ya. Anyway! I am now back and writing again. Omg I LOVE this request so much! Much fluff. Much feels. :3
Also I am now taking requests so go ahead and send me stuff. You can find my rules here. Please send me stuff to write!
You couldn’t help but feel giddy. More then once your hand would raise to the newly formed braid in your hair. It rested beside your left temple and you could still feel the warmth of Kili’s fingers where he had braided it not even a few hours ago. It felt strange to have a new braid, but one you were more then proud to wear. The bead and braid both signified your status with the Royal Family. But more then that. It told the world that you and Kili belonged to one another.
Placing the last of the packs onto the cart, you gave a small nod to the driver who stirred the ponies into motion and began carting the now loaded goods back to Erebor. You had been traveling with the tradesmen to exchange goods with a nearby village. Your ailing father had not been able to make the trip, and being his only child, the duty had fallen on your head. Two members of the Royal Family, namely Thorin and Kili had decided to accompany the party in hopes of forming some alliance with the village Master.
It had been the night before that Kili had requested your presence. You had been confused at his strange behavior. Normally, Kili would be full of words and he never had a problem to articulate them. That night though, he had been stumbling over his words and when he had finally caught on to your confusion, he had simply held the bead out to you.
To say you were shocked would be an understatement.
It was true your feelings for the young prince were rather strong and deep, but you had never imagined that his ran just as deep as yours. Tears had filled your eyes, but you had blinked them away before reaching up to pull down the hood of your cloak. Kili had stepped closer, his fingers reaching out to take a section of your hair which he then began to braid. The two of you were silent as he expertly attached the bead with his family crest at the end of the now finished braid. The silence made the moment all the more intimate.
As soon as it was done, you gave him no warning before you had jumped into his arms had embraced him tightly. The small clearing now rang with joyous laughter as he spun you around, before setting you down and sealing the moment with a kiss.
You were so lost in reliving the memory of last night that you did not notice the strange dwarf approaching you from behind. Not until it was too late.
Fleeing was not an option, as several dwarfs began to attack the ones she had come with. You could only struggle helplessly as you and several other dwarfs were thrown in the back of a cart and the thieves made quick work of escaping, taking whatever loot they had gathered, and whoever they had captured.
Including you.
-------------------------
It had all happened rather quickly.
The dwarfs had taken several hostages, including you, but it had taken next to no time for the soldiers of Erebor to be dispatched to rescue everyone. However, the few hours you were held hostage was enough for a few things to transpire.
One of the kidnappers was tormenting an old dwarf, kicking him around to make him walk faster. Not being able to sit quietly, you had snapped at the abuser, prompting him to turn his attention to you. He had told you to shut up, before turning back to his previous task. You had picked up a rock and thrown it at his head, the small projectile meeting its mark.
Only once his attention turned to you, did you realize that perhaps you shouldn’t have done that. He marched over to you, before yanking you away from the group of kidnapped dwarfs huddled together for safety. You had kicked and screamed the entire time, yet your cries fell on deaf ears. Multiple kicks were aimed at your torso and face, yet they did not hurt as much as when the dwarf yanked at your hair.
Once his greedy eyes landed on the bead Kili had gifted you, his lips pulled into a menacing smile. Pulling out a wicked looking dagger, the dwarf carelessly chopped off the braid Kili had so lovingly braided. You barely noticed as the steel of the blade cut across your forehead, you cried in despair as the braid with the bead was thrown in a nearby fire where it smoldered to nothing.
It was only seconds later that the warriors sent to rescue you fell upon the enemy emitting blood curdling war cries. Yet you barely noticed as you continued to stare into the depths of the small fire, tears filling your eyes, as you mourned the loss of something so small, yet so significant.
Feeling a warm hand being placed on your shoulder, you glanced up to see Dwalin looking down at you with a kind and gentle expression. Slowly, you allowed him to guide you to where his pony stood waiting. He helped you onto the animal, before getting behind you. You barely noticed anything and anyone around you as the triumphant rescue party began to trek back to Erebor with the kidnappers in tow.
-------------------------
To say Kili was beside himself with worry would be an understatement. The moment he had realized what had happened, and that you had been one of the dwarfs kidnapped, he had wanted to take the first pony and run after you. His uncle, however, had other ideas. Fear of this being a plot to draw the royals of Erebor out in the open, Thorin had decided to send his best warriors, led by Dwalin, to retrieve you and the other dwarfs. Still it did not stop Kili from screaming at his Uncle to let him go, neither did it stop him from telling Fili off for siding with Thorin.
His heart felt as if it would beat right out of his chest. His mind raced with thoughts of you. Every single moment you had both shared, before being replaced by the sight of you broken and hurt lying somewhere out in the open. For hours he paced the ramparts of the mountain, looking over at the horizon, to try and catch a glimpse of the returning warriors.
It was a few hours later that he heard the distant call of a horn. All over the mountain horns began to blow, signalling the return of the rescue party. Kili was the first one at the gates, straining to catch a glimpse of you as the small band of dwarfs approached. Dwalin rode at the very front and reached first. He was quick to dismount, before moving to help lift your trembling body from the back of the pony and set you on the ground.
A wave of dizziness overcame you, as you swayed on your feet, yet the feeling of two familiar arms wrapping around you and supporting your body, was able to give you a little strength. You raised your wide eyes to look at Kili’s face. The sight of him, looking so worried and relieved, broke whatever shred of control you had as you collapsed against him and began to sob over your loss.
“I’m sorry, Kili. I am so sorry. I-I lost the bead you gave me. T-th-they cut my braid and I tried to save the bead but they threw it in the fire. I-I c-couln’t-” Here your strength seemed to fail you as your knees collapsed underneath you. Luckily, Kili was there to catch you. Wrapping his arms more firmly around your frame, he pulled you close. Briefly the world around the two of you disappeared as he comforted you.
His face was buried in your hair as he whispered sweet nothings and reassurances in your ear. Tears streamed down your cheeks and onto his clothes as the trauma finally registered in your mind. So far you had been focused on protecting and helping the other captives. But now? With Kili’s arms around you, you simply could not hold yourself together. Your body shook with each sob as Kili pressed a kiss to the top of your head.
The Dwarf Clan that had decided to attack the citizens of Erebor were more then a little nervous now. They had no idea who you were. No idea that you were the betrothed of a Prince of Erebor. Each dwarf shuffled nervously as Kili finally raised his head to look at each of the dwarfs in turn.
His eyes held a rage that made his hands tremble as his gaze swept over the villains. They would pay. Every single one of them would be held accountable for the horror they had inflicted upon his beloved.
“My son?”
His attention was briefly diverted by the presence of his mother. Behind her stood his Uncle and brother, alongside many other dwarfs who were greeting their own loved ones that had been kidnapped. When they had arrived, Kili had no idea. Dis reached out to gently extract you from his embrace. Kili moved to protest but a look from his mother had him stay silent. “I shall take care of Y/N. See her injuries are not severe.” Her eyes flitted to the captured dwarfs. Kili could see fury in his mother’s eyes as well, mirroring his own. But he knew Y/N needed to be taken away. He had no desire for you to see what he was about to do the captured dwarfs.
Nodding, Kili reached out to press a kiss to your forehead. “I will see you soon, my heart.” He whispered to you in Khuzdul. You raised your tear-stained cheeks to meet his gaze as Dis gently pulled you away. You followed the motherly dwarf after a parting look to your betrothed.
Once you had safely entered the mountain, Kili turned his attention back to the Dwarf Clan that had dared take you from him. He glanced at his brother and Uncle. The former’s anger was equal to his own, since he considered you family and hated to see you hurt and in despair. His Uncle simply raised his hand and spoke. “They will be punished however you see fit, sister-son.”
The dark look that crossed over Kili’s features had the Dwarf Clan regretting what they had done, and praying he would show some leniency.
-------------------------
As soon as you had returned to your chambers, Dis had shooed your handmaidens so that they may prepare a warm bath. The older female dwarf had held you close to her side as the handmaidens prepared the bath for you. Though as soon as everything had been laid out and she was in the large tub, you spoke.
"If you don't mind, Mother, I want to be alone."
You didn't want be in anyone's presence at the moment, wanting to grieve the small yet significant loss on your own. Dis seemed to understand the reasoning behind your words and gave a small nod. Once the handmaidens had departed, Dis leaned down to press a motherly kiss to your brow.
"If you need to speak to anyone my dear, let me know." With a parting smile she left.
You had no idea how long you sat in the tub for. Her hand hung around you, unbound and free, floating in the warm water. Taking a small breath, you submerged completely in the water, closing your eyes as you allowed the warmth of the water to envelope your tired aching body. You could've stayed down in the cocoon of safety forever, but you needed to breath.
Emerging from the depths, you took a deep breath.
You didn't know for how long you sat in the water, feeling utterly numb and refusing to let yourself acknowledge what had happened. Perhaps it would be wise to simply move forward from the event.
Pretend it hadn't even happened.
It wasn't until you started to shiver from the now cold water that you stepped out of the bath, and wrapped a warm thick robe around your body. Water trickled from your hair, leaving a small puddle as you walked towards the vanity. Your fingers brushed against the handle of your comb when your gaze shifted to look in the mirror. The sight of your empty eyes, and the lack of the braid Kili had so lovingly put in your hair was the breaking point.
A whimper echoed in your chambers, followed by the sound of sobbing as you let loose the pain and horror. It finally sank in just how frightened you had been. Terrified. And amidst what had happened, you had lost something so so so precious.
The thought only made you sob all the more harder.
You didn't hear the door to your room opening, didn't catch sight of the pained look that overtook Kili's features as he ran to gather you in his arms.
"What is it my heart? What hurts?" He asked, checking you over to make sure there was no serious injury. You shook your head, just clutching to him. It took a little while before your sobs subsided and you calmed down enough to take a deep breath and speak.
"I'm sorry." The word hadn't even left your mouth before Kili cut you off. "You need not be sorry for anything my love. Nothing is your fault." His hand gently caressed the small area near your forehead where your braid had hung just this morning. You averted your gaze, shame coloring your cheeks, but he grasped your chin, and gently turned your head to look at him.
"I ran into Mother on my way hear. And she gave me something." So saying, he reached into a pocket and pulled out a small bead. It was beautifully crafted, and she could see the skill behind it despite the tears still welling in her eyes.
"My father gave this to my mother, when they were betrothed. And now she wants you to wear it." Your eyes widened and you shook your head. "Kili, I couldn't this is your father's gift to your mother." You said, leaning away from him slightly.
He smiled. "She considers you a daughter Y/N, she offered this to you. But should you feel strongly about it you can wear this for a few days while I create another betrothal bead for you." He said, his fingers already grasping a new section of your hair. You were silent as he began to braid your hair anew. With each lock of hair intersecting, you could feel your soul being pieced together once more.
Finally, Kili clicked the bead into place, and smiled at you. "Just as beautiful as ever." He said, his eyes meeting yours.
An involuntary giggle fell from your lips at his shameless flirting. One of the many traits that had won you over. "Thank you Kili." You closed whatever space was left between the two of you and pressed your lips to his.
His fingers buried in the hair at the back of your head as he returned the embrace. It was sweet, slow and seemed to sooth whatever leftovers the both of your had. And as he held you, you couldn't help but feel safe and loved.
"I love you, Kili." You breathed against his lips. You could feel him smile gently in response before he whispered back his response.
"And I you, Y/N."

Wildflower Ch. 1 - The Beginning
Warnings: None
Word Count: 1.1 k
Dear Reader:
The following events have been amalgamated from multiple sources and translated to a language you can understand to the best of our ability. We can only approximate the exact gestures, actions, and emotions of the characters involved, but hope we have done them justice. Songs have been the most heavily changed to make them more lyrical in your preferred language. However, the sentiment remains the same.
Thank you, and enjoy.
The sun rose earlier than expected, and Kíli thought it made the Shire look rather nice. The rolling green hills and wide dirt paths were no match for Ered Luin’s sharp peaks and impressive bridges, of course, but they were nice all the same.
“Ye cannae stare at the dew all day,” Dwalin said gruffly, almost running into him as he exited the Hobbit hole, hauling yet another bag of garbage from the Baggins home.
“I know, I was just coming out to help you,” he smiled easily, and Dwalin huffed in reply.
“Gettin’ the ponies ready is a bit more pertinent.”
“Ah, I see we’ve brought out the advanced vocabulary this morning.”
Dwalin shot him a look that could kill, and if his hands were free, he might have tried.
“Kíli,” a deep voice warned from around the bend.
“I was getting to it!” Kíli exclaimed quickly. “Where’s Fíli, anyway? He’s supposed to be helping me with this.”
“Your brother is writing a letter to his dear wife to let her know he’s safe,” Balin said, already standing by the ponies, loading maps and parchments into his saddlebags.
“Oh,” he said simply. Normally, he would stick his tongue out or something of the sort, but he was rather concerned about his sister-in-law as well.
Thorin nodded gratefully in Balin’s direction—he always seemed to know how to get the two of them under control, much better than he could, anyway.
The company was underway just before daybreak, and Kíli found himself squinting against the sun as they left.
The morning was too quiet.
“Anyone care to make a bet or two?”
* * *
“Wait! Wait!” The cry came from behind them. One by one, the dwarves reigned in their ponies, turning to see the aforementioned potential burglar running up to them rather comically, waving the contract as he did. “I signed it!”
Kíli smiled broadly—he had won his bets. He had seen a peculiar look in the Hobbit’s eye. That, and Gandalf betted that Bilbo would come to his senses. The young prince figured it would be pure foolishness to bet against a wizard.
Balin glanced at the Hobbit skeptically as he pulled out his reading glass, carefully inspecting the paper. “Everything appears to be in order; welcome, Master Baggins, to the company of Thorin Oakenshield.”
The company cheered; they had a burglar! Maybe not a very good one, but at any rate, a burglar. After a small fuss concerning the use of ponies as their primary mode of transportation, they were once again on their way, now a company of fourteen.
“Stop! Stop! We have to turn around!” Bilbo’s calls did indeed cause the company to halt.
Kíli could see the look on his uncle’s face without looking at him; he had seen the man exasperated often enough, and he was beginning to feel the same way.
“What on earth is the matter?” Gandalf asked before either of them had the opportunity to.
“I forgot my handkerchief,” Bilbo complained.
“Here!” Bofur called helpfully, tearing off a portion of his rather soiled outer coat. “Use this!’
“Bilbo?” At the call, the entire procession stopped in their laughter, turning to see another Hobbit coming up to their trail.
Kíli immediately noticed something different about the Hobbit, not in her appearance—though, that may have been a factor—no, but rather in the effect she had on him. She was beautiful in a way he had difficulty explaining: her hair long and fastened back with several clips, save for the curls on her forehead; her long, pale green skirt and loose white blouse; her blue eyes that shone in the sunlight.
“Where are you going? Who are these people?” Kíli was jerked out of his reverie by the question, momentarily panicking as though it was he who was expected to answer.
“Who is this?” Thorin grunted, and the Hobbit simply glanced at him curiously before returning her gaze to Bilbo.
Kíli wished her eyes had not simply flicked over him.
“Oh, um, gentlemen, this is May Bramble, my cousin, who happens to live just west of this path we're using,” Bilbo explained, his hand awkwardly fiddling with the reins of his newly acquired pony.
At Gandalf's lightly confused expression, May chuckled. “It's very distant, but, somehow, we're both Tooks. One more than the other.”
The wizard nodded thoughtfully and went back to his pipe.
The dwarves gave each other looks of barely disguised humor—these Hobbits and their family trees!
“A bit far out of town, is it not?” Thorin asked, eyeing the maiden with a kernel of suspicion.
“My great-great-grandfather was one of the more... eccentric Hobbits of his generation,” she answered seriously. “He thought it better to rely more on the land, as our ancestors had, and it has served us well. Now, Bilbo, are you going to answer my question or not?”
Before Bilbo could answer, Gandalf took it upon himself to explain the journey, and its reasoning, despite Thorin's protests—“We do not need everyone in the Shire knowing our business!”
“Oh,” she furrowed her brow seriously. “That sounds... very noble. And exciting.”
Thorin stared at her, hoping that would be the end of it and they could be on their way.
“Would you mind the addition of another to your company?”
“We don't need any dead weight,” Thorin said bluntly. “This is hardly a jolly quest.”
“We could use an extra pair of hands, always,” Kíli argued, and Thorin raised a brow at him. “And I hardly think she's so eager to join this company for gold when no payment has been offered.”
“No, no, I would never assume that I was entitled to any of your gold,” she shook her head quickly. “I'm only joining for the adventure.” She smiled at Kíli, a bright grin that was easily returned.
“And we do have an extra pony,” Fíli pointed out, seeing the look on his brother's face. It was certainly one he had not quite seen before.
“Have both of you gone mad? We cannot—”
“Let her come!” Gandalf interrupted. “I have a wizard's intuition about this one.” He gave a not-so-subtle wink in her direction.
Thorin spared her another glance.
“Fine. But we will not be waiting; we've wasted enough daylight as it is.”
May jumped excitedly, running back to her front door and grabbing a large leather bag before jogging back to the company that had indeed already begun to move on.
“Here’s a pony, lass,” a red-haired dwarf offered kindly.
“I’ve always wanted to ride one,” she cheered, quickly moving to ride sidesaddle.
“Did you just… have a bag of your things ready for a journey like this?” Bilbo asked as she rode alongside him.
“Did you not?” Her quick response was followed by the brightest laugh Kíli had ever heard.
He was in trouble.

Character Personality...by song!
With my new Hobbit fanfic's first chapter releasing on Friday, I thought perhaps a tiny look into my head would help get you all as excited about it as I am (plus bump my inspiration again, haha!).
And what better way to get inspired but by song!
These are the main 'themes' if you will for each of the main pairing in my story. Please enjoy and tell me what you think!
---
Ravnáriel - Out of the Shadows by Ely Eira (Not only is this song epic as hell but the opening line is just... *chef's kiss* for Raven.)
Thorin - Enemy by Imagine Dragons (covered by Colm R. McGuinness - just imagine it's Thorin singing) + Bonus Video Edit (not by me)
Fili - Princesses Don't Cry by Aviva (In my mind all the genders mentioned in the song are swapped so Fili is the 'prince that doesn't cry' and all the boys that are around him are women vying for the attention of the crown prince.)
Kili - Teenage Dream by Katy Perry (I don't know many of her songs, but this one fit Kili perfectly because the man is just such an adorably cute and rambunctious darling + he's a horn dog, lol!)
---Honorable Mentions---
Ravnáriel and Thorin share this song: 12 Rounds by Bohnes
Fili: Dangerous Hands by Austin Giorgio (Only in this case, Fili is the one with dangerous hands...yum.)
Kili: Reckless by Jaxson Gamble
---
And Bofur - just because :P

An Unexpected Blue Wizard (9)
Summary: Another brush with death on the road has tempers flaring and Thorin questioning both his judgment and feelings.
Cross posted to AO3. Chapter 1 on tumblr.
Chapter 9: Crossing
Bofur was just dishing out the first servings of their breakfast as he sensed a hush fall over the group. He looked up to see the other members of the company all looking subtly over in the same direction, toward Bilbo and Andréa.
Bilbo laughed softly as he tried his hand again, fingers tangling somewhat in the long brown hair to the side of Andréa’s face.
“I don’t think that’s quite right.” “You almost had it that time.”
She grinned and took his clumsy braid into her hands to swiftly undo it.
“You just want three sections to start, and make sure you do left and right alternately instead of twice on one side… Does that even make sense?”
She laughed as she showed him again.
“Okay, I think I understand…”
He chewed his lower lip as he took the long strands in his hands again and continued the plait that she had started.
She watched with a pleased grin as he practiced. “Yes, much better.”
“What are you two up to?” Bofur appeared before them with two servings of breakfast, a cheeky grin on his face.
“Oh, thank you!” Andréa took her meal from him. “I was just showing Bilbo how to do a braid.”
“Not sure how Nori manages it,” Bilbo added self-deprecatingly as Bofur handed him the other bowl.
“Och, just takes practice.” Bofur winked. “Be sure to keep at it.”
Bilbo laughed under his breath as he began to eat.
Dwalin noted the subtle irritation on Thorin’s already-grumpy face as he finally tore his eyes from Bilbo to eat his breakfast.
Bofur tried not to laugh when he handed Fíli and Kíli their own meals. “You think our burglar will get the hang of it?” he asked lightly, but quietly enough that Andréa and Bilbo wouldn’t hear it across the way.
Kíli frowned. “He hardly needs to, he’s not got enough to braid.”
Kíli wasn’t jealous, exactly. He held no belief that Andréa had a romantic interest in Bilbo, but watching another person braid her hair - something so intimate in dwarvish culture - didn’t sit quite right with him either.
“Don’t imagine wizards nor hobbits think of braids as we do,” Fíli remarked before popping a forkful of potato into his mouth.
Kíli shrugged, feigning disinterest, but it didn’t fool his older brother. Still, Fíli let it go. There was no sense riling Kíli up first thing in the morning.
Andréa shook the braid loose once more, then quickly put her hair up in her usual style before digging into her own meal.
Kíli relaxed as he watched her subtly across the camp.
She looked in good spirits, at least, her injury now healed, and she seemed to have slept alright for what Kíli thought might have been the first night since Gandalf had left. She may not have been openly complaining every time, but he’d seen the weariness in her face and body language.
Maybe today will be a good day.
---
When they came upon a wooden bridge to cross the wide river, Thorin ordered them all to dismount and walk their ponies across in single file.
The planks that sat only a few feet above the rushing water looked like they’d seen better days, some already broken in spots.
Thorin led the charge, testing each piece of wood before moving his pony along.
Andréa was near the front of the group, and once she was safely on the other side, she remounted Pansy and watched carefully as the others crossed.
Bilbo remounted Myrtle and led her over to where Thorin was drinking from his waterskin.
“Not much of a bridge, if you ask me,” Bilbo remarked lightly. He thought back to the wide, sturdy bridge over the Brandywine River back home.
Thorin felt impatient despite being the one to have ordered their slow, careful crossing. The orc attacks and Gandalf’s disappearance had made him uneasy, but he daren’t say so aloud.
“So long as it allows passage across the water, it’ll do,” he huffed.
Bilbo nodded, then shrugged, his mind on the Shire. He thought it must be nearly mid-day, and his stomach gave a familiar hunger pang that he knew he’d have to ignore a while longer.
Fíli was the last in line, slowly directing his pony behind Kíli’s. “You sure you don’t want to go for a swim again, Kí?” “Very funny, Fí,” Kíli called back.
Suddenly there came a terrible cracking sound, and Kíli’s pony let out an awful shriek as it fell through the wooden beam that had been supporting it.
Kíli tried to catch it, pulling on the reins, but instead he was dragged off into the river after it, disappearing beneath the rolling water before he could react.
Fíli acted on instinct, letting go of his own reins to dive in after his brother.
He caught a brief glimpse of Kíli beneath the waves, eyes stinging from the cold water, barely able to see as he tried to reach him. His intention was to help Kíli out, though now that he was in the thick of it, he could barely direct himself in the rushing water - not so much swimming as being pushed along by the current.
He broke the surface and took deep breaths, seeing Kíli’s wet mop of dark hair ahead of him before being pulled under again.
Fíli fought the instinct to cough out the water he’d accidentally inhaled as he tried to surface again, but he felt a sudden pain and then lost consciousness.
Meanwhile, Andréa had raced off down the river on her pony, fast as lightning and overshooting where the brothers were.
“Where’s she going?” Ori cried, while Thorin turned his pony to follow.
A short distance from where Kíli’s head sputtered above the rushing river, Andréa jumped from her pony and landed at the water’s edge.
She pounded her staff into the wet pebbles of the shore, and a huge blast of air shot out, creating a dam that left a wide gap of dry land across the river.
Fish and twigs fell out of the wall of water, and then, finally, two dwarves and a pony.
Kíli’s pony quickly righted itself and galloped over toward Thorin’s pony as he approached.
Kíli coughed water from his lungs and looked up to see Andréa struggling to hold the river at bay, wincing and muttering, clutching her staff tightly as the wall of water threatened to give way.
He moved to clear the area, and his heart sank as he saw Fíli was laying limp and unconscious just at the foot of the water wall.
He hooked his arms under his brother’s armpits and dragged him to the shore as quickly as he could manage.
The moment they were clear, Andréa dropped the spell and fell to her knees, panting.
“Fíli!”
Kíli shook his brother’s wet body, then leaned down to listen to his nose and mouth.
No breath.
“Fíli!”
Terror rose in his stomach and he grabbed Fíli’s arm, feeling for a pulse.
Andréa crawled over and placed her hand over Fíli’s nose, then pressed her mouth to his lips and breathed into his mouth several times as forcefully as she could manage.
Kíli stared in confusion and started muttering prayers to Mahal in Khuzdul.
Andréa started trying to pump Fíli’s chest, but as she struggled to press her hands into it, it didn’t give way.
Her attempts grew more frantic and she pounded her fists against the limp dwarf’s chest in frustration, tears in her eyes.
“I’m not strong enough!” she lamented.
She’d seen this done on big folk, but there was no way she could hit his chest hard enough.
Following her lead in a blind panic, Kíli balled his fists and gave a hard thump onto Fíli’s chest with both.
To Andréa and Kíli’s surprise, Fíli’s chest jolted at the beating and he suddenly opened his eyes, sputtering and coughing up water from his lungs.
Kíli pulled his brother onto his side to help him expel the water, and wrapped his arms around Fíli’s head and shoulders.
Andréa placed her arms on the ground and pressed her forehead into them. “Thank Mahal,” she murmured.
Kíli and Fíli shared a tight embrace, each relieved at the other’s safety.
It didn’t take much for Fíli to piece together that after he’d lost consciousness in the water, Kíli and Andréa had somehow saved him.
“Kíli,” he sighed in relief.
“Fee! Fee, I thought I’d lost you!”
“You almost did!” Thorin roared, hopping off his pony as he finally reached them. “You rash fools will lose your lives on the road, and not by orcs!”
Andréa looked up to see their leader marching over with a furious expression.
She straightened up, hoping he would not punish the brothers, who had clearly been through enough already.
Fíli sat up properly, looking up at his uncle with defiance. “I could not simply watch my brother be washed away.”
“And if not for blind luck, he would have watched you drown instead!”
“You did nothing to help-”
Kíli put his hand on Fíli’s chest, flashing him an urgent look to not argue with Thorin. “It’s my fault. It was my pony that fell in.”
Thorin’s nostrils flared as he looked down at them.
Andréa noticed the tremble in his hand; not of anger, but fear.
Thorin’s gaze turned on her, and she shrank somewhat at the glower.
“Thank you for saving my reckless nephews,” he huffed, then turned to remount his horse.
“It was actually Kíli that-”
“Get back in formation!” He rode off back toward the rest of the company without a look back at them.
Kíli helped Fíli to his feet, and then Andréa.
Fíli was clearly frustrated by the rebuke he’d just received, and he let out an irritated sigh.
“Are you injured?” Andréa asked, stepping in front of them before they could walk back to the group.
“Only my pride,” Fíli assured her.
“Dwarves are hardy,” Kíli agreed.
“Thorin is a goat turd.” Fíli’s insult was spoken in Khuzdul, and Kíli laughed, while Andréa frowned.
“Do you speak ill of your uncle?” she asked. “When he was so fearful to lose you that he hid it behind rage?”
“Fearful? Thorin is not fearful,” Kíli scoffed.
“He was,” Andréa insisted. “And you are a fool not to see it.”
“Twice I am called a fool.” Kíli sighed. He turned to his older brother, a playful grin on his face. “Fíli, am I a fool?”
Fíli reached up to ruffle Kíli’s wet hair. “Of course, and I as well.” He laughed.
Andréa planted her staff again and they closed their eyes as her magic sent warmth through their clothes and bodies.
The brothers blinked and marveled at their dry clothing.
“Ah, thank you,” Fíli said, then motioned to her bandaged hand, smirking. “How’s your injury?”
She pursed her lips in frustration, looking up at him with wet eyes. “You almost died, Fíli.”
Fíli made a dismissive head gesture and put his hands on Kíli and Andréa’s shoulders. “But you two took care of me.”
Kíli moved closer to hug Fíli, and pulled Andréa in as well. She hugged them both back and took a long, deep breath to keep from crying.
The brothers felt Andréa tremble as she squeezed them tighter. “You scared me.”
“We protect each other,” Kíli reassured her.
“Yes. Even if it means carrying stubborn wizards back to camp,” Fíli agreed.
She laughed silently through her nose and pulled back, shaking her head at both of them. “Be more careful, please.”
Kíli watched her hand reach up to grip at her necklace through her shirt.
“We will,” he promised, as Fíli patted her head.
---
The rest of the day’s ride was uneventful, but tense. Thorin remained in a foul mood that put a dark cloud over the company as they made their way.
When they finally stopped to make camp for the day, Thorin started barking orders. Bombur and Bofur were tasked with starting their meal preparations while Gloin and Dwalin were told to fill the waterskins.
“Fíli, Kíli- Collect firewood, if you think you can manage it.”
The brothers bristled at the harsh words, but set out, and Andréa was grateful that Thorin said nothing when she made to follow them.
Out in the woods, Fíli gave a frustrated huff. “Cheery day,” he quipped sarcastically.
Andréa nodded. “It’s wearing thin, I agree.”
“Let him sleep it off, he’ll be better in the morning,” Kíli offered.
“Oh? Is this common with Thorin?”
Fíli laughed. “Well, Kíli does have a way of causing mischief.”
“I cause mischief? I think you’ll find you’ve been behind what led to most of our scoldings, Fee.”
“Not by a mile!” Fíli whipped a small twig at Kíli’s leg before continuing to gather wood.
Kíli let out a small laugh and soon the three of them were in brighter spirits, the brothers taking turns regaling Andréa with stories of childhood misadventures that had landed them in hot water with their uncle and mother alike.
They walked back into camp chuckling under their breaths.
“What are you lot laughing about?” Thorin spat as they dropped their cargo by the circle of stones Nori had arranged.
“Nothing, uncle” Kíli muttered, the laughter dying from his voice.
“Good! Perhaps if you took the quest more seriously, we would not have such need for a wizard to watch over you!”
Fíli scowled. “The bridge could have broken under anyone-”
“What disgraceful heirs to the line of Durin we have become!” Thorin thundered in Khuzdul.
While the rest of the Company remained silent at Thorin’s outburst, Fíli’s anger boiled over. He’d had enough of his uncle’s criticism now. What had happened was not Kíli’s fault, and the whole company had suffered from Thorin’s foul mood all day.
Fíli stepped forward, nostrils flaring.
“The only disgrace is your tantrum!”
Thorin turned to Fíli with a dark expression.
Kíli shrank into the group of dwarves behind him, watching with wide eyes. It was rare that Fíli outright challenged Thorin to his face, and he worried what fresh vitriol it might unleash.
Meanwhile Bilbo stepped closer, confused by the change of tongue, and worried about the staredown between their leader and his nephew. He stopped at Andrea’s side, touching her arm softly for some form of comfort.
She placed her hand over Bilbo’s reassuringly, but continued to watch the argument, unsure what would come of it next.
Thorin took two steps and stared Fíli down. “It is high time you learned to put the well-being of the company over your own interests. Just because your brother tumbles into death’s path does not mean you chase after him.”
“What would you have me do?” Fíli glared up at him, unflinching and incredulous.
Surely Thorin understood that Fíli would gladly die trying to save Kíli? Was that really something Thorin believed was worthy of criticism?
“Kíli must learn prudence instead of relying on you to protect him.”
“I would have done the same for any in our company.”
“Then you are a bigger fool than I knew. You had no chance of helping him! Jumping into the river as you did was foolish!”
“I could not simply abandon my brother; unlike you!”
Fíli regretted the hurtful words the moment they left his mouth, recalling too late his uncle Frerin’s young demise.
Thorin’s rage only grew in offense. “You know nothing of loss and sacrifice! You would have only accomplished two graves in the place of one!”
He looked around the rest of the group, his eyes shining. “Do you think this quest a joke? If we fall to the road how will we face a dragon? Perhaps Durin’s Folk are truly unworthy of the Mountain, and should abandon the quest enti-!”
Andréa interrupted him, shouting something back in Sindarin in a harsh tone that echoed too loudly and powerfully for her small stature.
She’d had enough of Thorin’s blowup, despite knowing it was sparked by the fear of losing his nephews. The others may have been too loyal to argue outright, but she - like Fíli - could no longer stand the display of anger. Surely the brothers, in particular, had been through enough having nearly drowned.
Thorin turned to her with a dark expression. “I do not speak that tongue-”
She raised her chin slightly, body language defiant and unintimidated, her voice now low and calm. “And yet you shout in Khuzdul when not all present are dwarves. If you wish to admonish us, please do so in Westron so all may understand it.”
Thorin looked between Andréa and Bilbo, thinking back on what he’d just said. “Nevermind.”
“Then you take back what you were saying?”
“No, but I don’t care to repeat myself.”
She huffed and grabbed Bilbo’s hand. “Come, Mr. Baggins. It seems our leader does not think us worthy of his words.”
Thorin narrowed his eyes as she started leading the hobbit away. “That’s not-”
Bilbo followed Andréa, but glanced back at Thorin, unsure.
Thorin - for reasons he had no time to examine - felt a flare of anxiety at the thought of Bilbo leaving the Company.
“Stop!” Thorin’s voice held a kinder tone despite the authority in it. “I take back what I said in our tongue.”
Andréa stopped and turned to Thorin with a raised brow. “So you’re not cross with the company, then?”
He pursed his lips. She was frustrating him with how she was phrasing things, challenging him.
“Because you sounded cross. And if I’ve done something to offend you, I’d care to know it.”
“As would I,” Bilbo added, nodding.
Thorin huffed and considered how to reply, feeling a bit foolish for being called out.
“Are you cross with the company, Thorin?” Andréa asked again, softly this time.
“No.”
Thorin stalked off away from camp, not elaborating.
The rest of the company stood in awkward silence for a beat.
“Aye, well, glad that’s settled then,” Bofur offered loudly, letting out a relieved laugh to force levity back into the group.
“Right, let’s get our meal served,” Dori suggested, looking to Bombur.
Everyone started busying themselves with the making of camp comforts and overly-friendly conversation, seeming to agree to pretend that the whole thing hadn’t happened.
Andréa placed a hand on Fíli’s shoulder, wide eyes silently asking if he was alright.
“I’m fine,” he grumbled, clearly still irritated, though not with her. “I’m not a pebble.”
Kíli walked over just as she shook her head.
“No, I know. I really admire you.”
Kíli tried to swallow down his internal shame at having cowered to Thorin’s rage, and having - in his mind - caused all the trouble that day to start with, however accidentally.
Meanwhile Bilbo backed away from the chattering crowd to slink off after Thorin.
---
Thorin stood at the edge of a clearing, staring up into the night sky at Durin’s Crown twinkling above.
He was mulling over the argument with Fíli, guilt over Frerin’s death and the fear of losing his nephews making his stomach turn.
I promised Dis I’d keep them safe.
He noticed movement in his peripheral vision, and gripped his sword as he turned toward it, only to see Bilbo looking up into the same night sky, hands folded behind his back.
“It’s a lovely night,” the hobbit murmured.
Thorin’s shoulders eased as he let out a long sigh. “Is it?”
“It could be. If you decide it is.”
Thorin grunted and looked away. “I’m not sure my decisions should be trusted at the moment.”
“Because of your outburst?”
Thorin continued to avoid eye contact, but the deep, huffing breath he took betrayed his frustrations.
“I think we all understand. Well- not literally, since I’m not sure what you said to each other, but-”
“I should not have spoken that way. Admonishing him for my own shortcomings.”
Thorin turned to Bilbo with a softer expression than he’d seen to that point. “If something had happened to them…”
Bilbo nodded, reaching out to grip Thorin’s forearm reassuringly. “I know. We all know. Even Fíli and Kíli.”
“Do they?” “They really look up to you, you know? I think that’s why- Well, I shouldn’t speak for him, but- perhaps Fíli thought that you’d have done the same to protect someone in the company?”
Thorin let out a laugh under his breath. “I probably would have, yes.”
“I think that’s the sort of thing that makes for a great leader.”
Thorin sighed, sobering again. “You can’t lead anyone if you’re dead. Even if we can get to Erebor, we still have to take it back. We don’t have the luxury of being careless.”
“I- I don’t think they were, Thor-” “Not them.”
Thorin huffed and started walking back toward the camp.
Bilbo chased after him, his frown turning to bewilderment. “You can’t be saying you blame yourself?”
“Whatever happens, whoever falls, the blame goes to the leader.”
“But- there was nothing more you could have done. We all crossed that bridge-”
“I don’t expect you to understand.”
Bilbo watched Thorin’s tired face as they walked back, noting that Thorin wouldn’t make eye contact with him again.
---
Meanwhile, the others were settling into their spots for the night with their suppers.
Andréa couldn’t bear the idea of being away from Fíli or Kíli after the day’s events, so she’d planted herself between them without question.
Fíli had been telling her some story about the Blue Mountains, but she couldn’t quite relax, the accident and the fighting doing nothing for her nerves.
Kíli watched as Andréa politely emoted in response to the end of Fíli’s tale, noting that she didn’t continue the conversation as she ate.
He nudged her arm.
“So, what did you shout at him, anyway?”
“Mm?” “When you shouted at Thorin in that other tongue.”
Andréa shifted, feeling a bit guilty. “A request to stop, more or less.”
In truth, it had been something along the lines of ‘Curse the stubbornness of dwarves’, but to say so now felt rude. She’d chosen Sindarin to make her point about him shouting in Khuzdul, but given Thorin and his nephews’ aversion to elves, it might have been an even worse thing to say in that tongue.
We can all be reckless at times.
Fíli smirked. “A very polite request, clearly.”
Andrea let out a short laugh, playing along. “Oh, of course.”
Fíli put his hand on the top of her head. “You don’t need to get involved in family disputes. I can handle Thorin.”
She looked up at him with raised brows. “You weren’t the only one dealing with it. You were just the first to say something.”
Kíli glanced around. “Well, it seems everyone’s moved on now.”
“That’s for the best.” Andréa’s fingers found her pendant absent-mindedly. “At the end of the day, the most important thing is that we’re all alive. And together.”
Kíli’s spotted Thorin coming back into camp, and gestured subtly with his head. “On that note-”
The dwarves made no fanfare when Thorin returned to camp, and he took his place near his things, muttering a quiet ‘thank you to Bofur when he brought him a serving of their supper.
Bilbo brought his pack over to where Fíli, Kíli and Andréa were seated. “Room for another?”
“Always,” Andréa enthused, forcing a warm smile for their burglar.
---
Thorin was quiet until it was time to plan the night watches, taking the first.
He looked over the group, the usual clusters - Ori, Dori and Nori; Bofur, Bombur and Bifur; etc. - not catching his interest until his eyes settled on Bilbo.
The hobbit was nearest to Thorin in the little row of bedrolls, followed by Andréa, Kíli and Fíli. Thorin watched the subtle rise and fall of Bilbo’s chest under the covers, seemingly at ease despite the unsettling events of the day.
Thorin snorted to himself, shaking his head. Are you so comfortable on the road now?
He heard a small sound on the other end of the camp and whipped his head in that direction only to see Bofur shoving himself further away from Bombur, who had rolled over in his sleep. For his part, Bofur didn’t seem put out by it, snoring only a moment later.
Thorin glanced back over to the burglar, noting who he’d chosen to sleep beside. Bilbo was younger than even his nephews, after all.
Perhaps he has more in common with them. Naive to the horrors of the world. No place on a battlefield.
This thought sat uneasily in his gut.
Why should it bother him who the hobbit had more in common with? Why should the idea of Bilbo in danger wake the same protective instincts he felt when his nephews were reckless?
What was Bilbo to him, anyway?
An annoyance. An interloper. Someone he’d only begrudgingly agreed to hire for this journey, unsure he would make it home.
But if all of that was true, then why did Thorin feel slighted that Bilbo had avoided him since they’d come back to camp? Why had it bothered him to see the hobbit’s hands tying clumsy plaits into the wizard’s hair instead of his own?
Why did his optimistic words keep repeating in his mind?
It’s a lovely night. It could be. If you decide it is.
Thorin sighed and looked up to the sky, though the stars revealed no patterns to his weary eyes.

~ <3 ~
“I should really go and wash now…”
Kaia murmurs this as she lies beside the two Durin princes. Her eyes are closed, but her other senses are all she needs to ground her.
The warmth radiates from her two lovers bodies as they brush their arms over her body. Kili lies on his side, playing with her tangled and messy hair. Fili was practically asleep, his breath coming out in even puffs as he presses his face against her shoulder.
“Stay with us…” Kili whines, kissing her cheek.
“If I stay with you any longer, I won’t be able to leave you all night…” Kaia groans.
“You say that like it’s a bad thing.” Fili chuckles, nuzzling his nose along the skin of her bicep.
“It is if I don’t want to smell like sweat and sex for the next day of travel.”
“Again, you say that like it’s a bad thing!” Kili laughs, looking at her profile with starry eyes. “But you’re right. You deserve to have a wash, you’ve taken care of us so well…”
“Damn straight.” Fili whispers, shuddering slightly as he drags his fingers over her collarbones.
“Alright, I’m getting up, before we start all over again.”
With great effort on her part, Kaia sits up. The two princes try weakly to get her down, but give up when she continues rising to her knees.
More of the prince’s spend seeps out of her, dripping down her thighs.
Kaia groans at the feeling, looking around for her undergarments to try to keep some of her dignity when she ventured back to the group.
But they were nowhere to be seen.
“Which one of you has taken them?”
“What?” Kili asks.
“My underwear.”
“We haven’t taken them. What do you think we are, delinquents?" Fili chuckles, although he looks like he is considering it.
Either one or both of the princes were lying… or someone else took them.
The thought of one of the other dwarves sneaking over during their tryst, and stealing her underwear… it shouldn’t have turned her on, but it did.
And she knew exactly who took it…
Nori.
Kaia chuckled to herself, shaking her head at her shameless kleptomaniac friend.
“What’s so funny?”
“Nothing.” Kaia sighs, standing up, her skirts falling around her. She looks over at the two Durins, who were staring up at her with adoring eyes. “I love you both.”
“We love you too, Amrâlimê.” Kili says, his smile so sweet it was infectious.
“So much.” Fili agrees, winking at her. Kaia giggles, securing her boots back onto her feet.
The elder Durin looks over at his brother, nodding towards Kaia. His brother gives him a questioning look, and Fili nods over at her again, raising his eyebrows.
“Fili, what- ow!” Kili rubs his thigh where Fili kicked him, then it dawns on him. “OH!”
Kaia giggles as Kili rushes to stand up, stumbling over himself as he makes sure his clothes are right and his hair isn’t sticking up on it’s ends.
With a deep breath, he takes a step towards her.
“Kaia, Amrâlimê…” Kili starts, taking her hand in his own, “I have fallen in love with you. My body and soul belongs to you, as I’m sure you are aware now… Would you do me the honour of wearing my braid, and courting me?”
He reaches into one of his pockets, taking out a small wooden bead. Kaia gasps, accepting the braid into her palm. She admires the ornate details carved into the small dark brown bead. Letters she recognises as Khuzdul and symbols which are beautiful and intricate.
“It’s.. uh, it’s not much!” Kili stammers, taking her staring at it as her disappointment, “I wanted to wait until we reclaimed Erebor and had access to the forges, but my heart told me to make you one while we travel… I know it’s very soon, but…”
“Kili, shush.” Kaia giggles, throwing her arms around his shoulders. His own arms immediately wrap around her waist, and his body sags in relief as she presses a kiss to his temple. “I would be honoured to court you.”
Kili leans his head back, pressing a hand to the top of her head before he pulls her into a deep kiss.
“Maralmizi…” He groans against her lips, holding her waist and head firmly but gently, as if she were as precious as the finest jewel in his hands.
“I’ll court you, as long as I can keep having both you and your brother to keep me warm!” Kaia says cheekily, nipping at his neck.
“Sounds good to me!” Fili calls to them, and she see him sitting back with his arms behind his head, oozing confidence with a shit-eating grin on her face.
“You could fuck the entire Company and I would still love you, Arsûnê.” Kili growled, “In fact, the thought of that alone makes me want to take you all over again…”
The young prince’s hand slides down her body, grabbing her ass cheeks roughly. She squeals, and he captures her lips into his own, biting down onto her lower lip.
“Oh for the love of Mahal, Kili, let the girl go and bathe!” Fili laughs, climbing to his knees to extract Kili from Kaia.
“Oi, shut up! You’re not her One…"
“No I’m one of her Many.” Fili drawls his arms encircling her waist.
“Ooh, did you just come up with that, your highness?"
“Yes, I’m clever like that.” Fili presses a kiss against her clothed stomach, before taking both her hands in each of his, distributing a kiss on each of her knuckles. “Now go, bathe, get that hair ready for Kili’s braid and that beautiful body for me to devour…”
Kaia gasps, and Fili gives her a devilish smile.
As she rushes off, she catches the two brothers talking.
“Hey! How come you get to pleasure her down there again? You’ve already down it once!” Kili exclaims, and she can hear Fili make a noise.
“Mahal, Kili, did you not?!”
Kaia chuckles to herself as their bickering continues.
-
Coming to a clearing not too far from her lovers, she finds the lake.
The moon is high above the trees, bathing the waters in pale light. The air is cold, but Kaia’s body is still burning with the ministrations of her prince’s.
But, she begins to grow cold, and her anticipation for a good clean has her practically giddy.
She was suddenly thankful for her clothes being half hanging off of her, as it took a quick tug and a pull for Kaia to be as bare as the day she was born.
Readying herself, she jumped and dove into the water.
The cold was invigorating, shocking her system from being in a tired, post orgasmic thrum, into full energy.
Kaia floated to the surface, tugging her hair from her face, and over her shoulder. She ran her hands through the long tresses, separating the knots and cleaning out the dirt and grime which had lingered for far too long.
As she played with her strands, she thought about the courting braid she would soon wear. Kili’s courting braid was tucked in her skirt pocket, waiting for her hair to be ready and Kili to plait it into said hair.
It felt so intimate, so personal, so romantic.
And very right.
Kaia was unwilling to begin a relationship with the young prince, though she felt a pull to him she had never felt before. Resentment hit her for the fact that she harboured feelings and desires for not only Kili, but for his brother, and his uncle, and Dwalin, and Bofur… and, I mean, if we are keeping count, she wouldn’t kick Nori or Bifur out of bed…
But now, her soul was free. She could be with Kili, belong to him fully, as much as he belonged to her. And she would enjoy Fili too… and perhaps the others…
“Oh, Mahal…” A quiet voice exclaims behind her.
Kaia turns around, her eyes landing first on a familiar strange hat, lowering down onto the kind face of Bofur, which was currently lacking its usual goody smile, and was sporting a bright blush beneath its moustache.
“Hi, Bofur.” Kaia says, smiling innocently at him.
Bofur does not meet her eyes. He seems to be unable to decide where to look. His eyes seem drawn to look over her exposed, wet flesh, but he was clearly uncomfortable about leering at her. “Uh… hi, lass.”
Kaia bit her lip, stifling a big grin at his flushed appearance and husky voice. His hands flexed besides him, and he shuffled awkwardly, completely short-wiring.
He was so… Bofur, even in this situation. Goofy, adorable, but handsome in his own wat. Bofur’s brown eyes flicker up to hers, and the sight of his blown out pupils and his dark eyebrows slightly creased makes Kaia clench her thighs beneath the water.
Wow, I am insatiable tonight. Maybe I am part dwarrowdam…
“Is everything okay, sweetheart?” Kaia asks, her voice teasing as she feigned innocence, dragging her fingers through her hair, before drawing her fingertips over her chest.
Bofur’s eyes follow the movement, and he swallows thickly, hypnotised by the movements of her digits as well as the movements of her heaving chest.
“My apologies for intruding on you, Kaia. Nori told me about the lake, he said you were last to go but that had been a while ago, I expected you to be long gone…”
“I got… held up… I can leave if you want?” Kaia lets her hair fall around her as she begins rising out of the water, the tops of her breasts breaking the surface of the water.
The dwarves eyes follow her for a second, mouth hanging open. But just before her nipples can be exposed to the air, he turns around, shaking his head.
“No, no, lass it’s fine! You go right ahead, I’ll wait until you’re done!” His voice is higher than usual, and she can hear how his breath is coming out quickly. He shifts on his feet, and Kaia wonders if he's hard.
The thought makes Kaia wasn’t to dip her hands between her legs, taking her clit between her fingers as she imagines Bofur’s skilled, musical tongue playing her like his flute. What could he do with his hands, how big was his cock…?
“Don’t be silly, the lake is big enough for the both of us…” Kaia says, swimming backwards slightly. It was true, the lake was large. Big enough for a human and a dwarf to wash with a comfortable distance between them.
Although, with the way her cunt is throbbing, Kaia believe she may have an obscured idea of what is “comfortable”…
“I… I couldn’t lass. Truly… it would be improper-”
“Oh, hi, Dori! Why are you wearing Bofur’s hat?” Nimue chuckles, sarcasm drips from her voice.
Bofur turns his head around to give her a half-assed glare. As his eyes travel down to where her body disappears into the water, he swallows thickly. His Adam’s apple disappears beneath his scarf, and Nimue wants to grab it off of him to gaze at more of his throat.
“Alright, lass… if you are sure…?” Bofur asks, turning around to look at her. “You should know I’m as hard as a rock right now, if that makes you feel uncomfortable.”
Kaia laughs heartily at this. There’s the Bofur she adores, him and his inability to keep his words inside his head.
“If you don’t get in here in the next minute, I might have to drag you in.”
Bofur stares at her, completely frozen for a minute. He makes a choked sound, and nods.
“Yes, ma’am.”
Ooh, she liked that.
He began to take off his scarf, making Kaia grin in satisfaction. As he placed it on a nearby rock, he narrowed his eyes and eyed her.
“Are you going to eye me the entire time?” He asks, trying to seem annoyed but the feeling of her eyes on him makes his stomach twist into pleasant knots.
“Perhaps.”
“Something tells me the conversation from earlier really struck a chord in you, lass.”
“Perhaps.”
“Are you going to keep giving my cryptic answers to my questions?”
“Perhaps.” Nimue gave him a smirk, pursing her lips as he gives her another glare.
“Har har.” He says dryly, rolling the ‘r’s in a way that made Kaia feel all kinds of things.
Bofur kept undressing, taking off his coat, and his gloves. He stripped more and more layers, and Kaia bit her lip as he exposed more of his skin.
He was big and beefy the way dwarves usually are, but had a good amount of muscle underneath his skin. Dark hair covered his chest, and he had a fierce happy trail which ended above his long johns.
“Like what you see?” Bofur asked, his tone joking but there was a hint of insecurity in the question which made Kaia want to jump out of the lake and wrap her arms around him.
“Very much.” She says, her voice drawing out the syllables.
Bofur smiled wolfishly, looking down as a blush deepened the colour in his cheeks.
“Stop teasing and take it all off, Bofur.” She growled out his name, and he flushes red at the command in his voice.
He pushes down the last piece of fabric covering his lower half, and before she can get a proper peak, he holds one of his big hands over his crotch. He gives her a cheeky smile, wiggling his eyebrows.
“Tease.” Kaia grumbles.
“I’ll show you mine if you show me yours.” Bofur winks.
“I’ll do you one better.” Kaia smiles slyly, and she closes her eyes as she stretches herself out in the water, “Touch me and feel what you are missing out on…”
There is a second of silence, before a loud splash erupts around her. Within seconds, Kaia is swept up in two big, strong arms and lifted up. She gasps, and wraps her legs around a solid body which presses itself against her.
Kaia opens her eyes, and giggles as Bour looks at her with a bright smile and kind eyes.
And he’s still wearing his hat.
“I knew the hat would be the last thing you take off.” The human lass chuckles, shaking her head with a fond smile.
“Oh, so you think this is coming off?” Bofur wiggles his head around, making the flaps jiggle.
“You and that hat...”
“You love it.” Bofur holds her closer, his eyes focused on her lips.
Taking his hint, Kaia reaches down and presses her lips to his.
She is rewarded instantly by him groaning against her lips. She slips slightly in his arms, and her heat bumps against something hard and heavy between them.
Bofur gasps, lifting his head away as he looks into her eyes.
“I did warn you.” Bofur chuckles, looking away sheepishly.
Kaia hums, tracing her lips over his cheek. She scoots her hips slightly, welcoming the feel of him pressed against her.
Bofur makes a choked noise, pulling his head back to look at her.
“Not here.” He says quickly, his eyes blown out with lust.
With a quick movement, he pulls them from the water, carrying her over to the bank to lay her down.
Bofur leans back on his heels as he admires her, his eyes wide and chest heaving as he looks over her wet, beautiful body.
She herself stares at him, eyes raking down his bulky dwarvish form until she finds what she has been desperate to see.
Kaia gulps at the sight.
As with all the dwarves, apparently, Bofur is very well endowed. His cock is hard and heavy, with a light curve to the left which makes her clit spasm. Without thinking, her hand draws between her legs, and she flicks a finger over the small bud at the sight of Bofur’s impressive member.
At the sight, Bofur’s cock twitches. He shivers, and groans.
“Mahal maharuma…” The hatted dwarf murmurs to himself, and he drags his own hand down his length at the sight of her, spread legged and touching herself. His other hand glides along her thigh, touching her so gently as if she may break.
That won’t do.
Kaia sits up pressing into Bofur’s chest to kiss him, tangling their tongues as Bofur gasps, biting down onto her bottom lip.
He lets Kaia guide him so he is lying down on the bank below, and she straddles his torso.
Kaia leans forward, grinding her lower regions against Bofur’s bare stomach as she takes his hands in her own. Bofur gasps slightly, looking up into her eyes. He looks up at her with such a gentle, adoring expression, filled with desire which was not the same fiery lust that Fili’s had, nor the sweet eagerness Kili’s had. Bofur was looking at her like she was a goddess.
Overwhelmed by the emotion in his deep brown eyes, Kaia leaned forward, kissing him. He tilted his head, deepening the kiss. His facial hair was tickly, and she chuckled into his lips.
“I’m glad I can make you laugh even here, lass.” Bofur murmurs into her lips, his own smile can be heard through his gentle words.
“Only you can make me feel so comfortable even here, sweet dwarf.”
Bofur pulls back from her, his face positively glowing from his beaming smile.
“You warm my heart, Kardûna.” He whispers, nuzzling her nose with his own.
Bofur’s hand traces along her neck, and she can feel tender flesh there.
Kili and Fili must have marked her up with hickeys.
“Now what happened here? Get attacked by a wild dwarrow?” He chuckles, tickling over the bruised skin.
“Both Kili and Fili have had me already…”
“Had you? In what sense, sweet girl?” Bofur says, a teasing smile on his lips
“Both Kili and Fili have been inside of me.” Kaia says, rolling her eyes, but she feels almost sheepish as she traces circles along Bofur’s chest.
“Mahal maharuma…” The dwarf groans. Kaia would think that it was from disappointment or disgust, but his eyes rolled back into his head slightly, and he hardened even more underneath her.
“Look how quickly you have joined in our wicked ways, starlight!” Bofur smirks up at her, curling a strand of her hair around his finger.
“Mmm, do you want to hear all about it, you naughty dwarf?”
“Fuck, tell me what they did to you...” Bofur groans, grabbing her thighs as his hips bucked up slightly.
“Kili found me in the woods, he was so desperate for me, and I took him in my mouth so eagerly.” Kaia kissed along Bofur’s jaw as she recounted the events of the evening. “When he got close, we lay down, and I took him inside of me. Then Fili stumbled upon us. He pleasured me with his mouth before he fucked me raw.”
“Did they finish in your sweet cunt?” He gasps, gripping onto her thighs.
“Yes, they both did.”
Bofur is breathing heavily now, his chest lifting Kaia up and down with the force of his breaths.
Looking over her shoulder, she could see he was fully hard, pressing up towards his stomach. The head was red and begging for attention. She reached back, wrapping a hand around him.
The groan which erupted from Bofur was animalistic, he seethed through his teeth as he tried to get himself under control.
“Lass, lass, wait a second, please, Ghivashel…” Kaia does as he says, releasing him and resting both of her hands on his shoulders.
“Are you okay, sweet dwarf?”
“I’ve never been so beyond okay, you beautiful minx.” He laughs, reaching his hand up to fix his hat slightly. She nuzzled his neck, revelling in the smell of him. “I want you so badly, Kardûna, but I want to have you slowly. I want to savour the feel of you.”
Kaia moans at this, licking a stripe up his neck. A low rumble erupts out of the hat-wearing dwarf, almost like a purr.
“I want that too, Bofur.” She smiles up at him, and the smile he returns her warms her heart. “I want you as one of my lovers, to have whenever I want, as slowly as I want.” She elongates her words, grinding her wet pussy against his chest.
“Sounds like delicious torture.” Bofur moans, dropping his head back. His hat covers his eyes, and Kaia giggles at the funny sight.
“May I play with your hair, sweet dwarf?”
“If you don’t, I will be sorely disappointed.” Comes his reply, his eyes still covered with his hat.
“We can’t have that, now, can we?” Kaia reaches a hand up, undoing the ties binding his hair together. With gentle fingers, she coaxes them out of their tight knots, and they fall into soft waves around his shoulders. “Mmm, my beautiful dwarrow.”
“Oh, ‘ibin abnâmul, fuck… my beautiful lass.”
“I need you inside of me, my darling.”
“Fuck yourself onto my cock, darling.” Bofur sighs, reaching a hand up to shift his hat back. His eyes twinkle, taking Kaia’s breath away. “Take what you need from me, my sweetest girl.”
Kaia does not need any more instructions.
Stretching up, she lifts her hands above her head. Bofur’s eyes follow her movements, drinking in her body as it writhes above him.
Dragging her hands over her chest, Kaia plays with her nipples, tweaking them and rolling them under her fingers.
“Mahal, Kaia…” Bofur takes his lip between his teeth, his body shuddering beneath her.
“Do you like what you see?” Kaia smiles, repeating Bofur’s earlier line.
“More than you could imagine.” He groans, and he reaches one hand up to graze it over her pert nipple.
Kaia is astonished by how big his hands are compared to hers, his fingers play with her nipples and put her own to shame. She rolls her head back, gasping as he applies the perfect amount of pressure.
“Do you like that, lass?” His soft voice asks, and she nods weakly. “You’re so wet, I can feel you dripping all over me, you dirty girl.”
The way his voice growls out the last bit of the sentence releases another wave of her arousal.
His hands move to her waist, running his hands over her soft skin with his calloused finger tips.
“Are you ready for me, Bofur?” Kaia asks teasingly.
“Lass, if you don’t sit on my cock right now I’m going to spontaneously combust-”
As he speaks, Kaia lifts herself up and shifts backwards, lining her pulsing heat with his throbbing head.
Bofur stops speaking, mouth still open as he gasps at the feel of her.
Kaia grins down at him, as she sinks herself down onto his thick shaft.
Bofur becomes a shuddering mess beneath her, sweat forming across his neck and his forehead. His hands remain on her hips, and she can feel them flex against her skin.
“And to think I’ve been spending myself in my hand all this time.” Bofur sighs, looking deeply into her eyes, “You feel like a dream.”
“What do you think about when you cum?” Kaia asks, her voice erratic as she begins to move on top of Bofur’s dick.
“My hat.” He replies seriously.
Kaia stops moving, and Bofur’s face breaks out into a mischievous grin.
“I fuck my hand thinking it’s you lass, obviously. Now get a move on before I spill myself immediately!”
He’s trying so hard to keep himself at bay, eyes rolling back as she lowers herself further and further onto him, until their hips bump.
“Oh, gods… ugh, fu-uck, lass!” Bofur gasps out throwing his head back. His hat slips over his eyes again, and Nimue lets a laugh escape, but it turns into a breathy gasp as he throbs inside of her.
“I’m going to fuck you slow, Bofur, my sweet dwarf.”
“Please, please!” The hatted dwarf begs, eyes covered by his silly hat.
Raising herself up slowly, she lets him almost completely fall out of her, just the tip remaining trapped inside of her. Then, she rocks forwards, taking him fully once again.
Bofur moans, a deliciously long sound that erupts from low in his throat.
Kaia gasps out as she rocks on top of her sweet dwarf, her cunt fluttering around him in a way which feels heavenly for both of them.
His hands are so gentle as they drag up and down her body, guiding her movements but not pushing her up and down. The control Kaia feels is addicting. Bofur trusts her completely with his pleasure.
Leaning over him, Kaia presses her lips to his own, kissing him long and slow as she uses her hands to assist in her up and down movements along his cock.
Bofur moans against her lips, kissing her deeply as one of his hands comes to rest on the back of her head.
“So good to me, so warm and tight around my cock… fuck, you take me so well, lass…” Bofur’s words are like a song in her ears, surrounding her and filling her body up as good as he cock does.
Kaia can feel her orgasm approaching, the position they’re in has her rubbing her clit over his pelvis with every lift of her hips.
“Bofur… I…” Kaia gasps, pressing her head to Bofur’s neck.
“I can feel you, sweetheart.” Bofur groans, holding onto her back as he gently thrusts into her.
Her orgasm is fast approaching, and she’s practically bouncing on top of him as creeps closer and closer to that beautiful coil snapping-
It hits as Bofur slams his cock up into her, and she grips onto his shoulders as she releases with a high pitched, pathetic mewl.
“Oh, mahal maharuma, you feel so good, please I need to-” The hatted dwarf begs her as his hips stutter against his own.
Bofur, in all of his kindness, does not want to hurt her by fucking her whilst she comes down from her high. But she can feel how his cock pulsates inside of her, he’s on the precipice and, damn it, if she doesn’t want to hear what he sounds like when he cums.
“Fuck, don’t stop Bofur! Let me feel you and your beautiful cock- OH!” Nimue squeals when she feels Bofur plant his feet down.
With a firm grasp in her hair and a hand on her lower back, Bofur begins slamming into her.
He jackhammers her with a speed she did not think possible. The squelching of her cunt is loud as he forces his cock into her over and over again, chasing his own release with at a feverish pace.
Kaia can only grasp onto whatever she can find as he keeps up his unrelenting thrusts.
Being pressed to his chest makes her nipples rub against the coarse hair on his chest, and her clit throbs against his pelvis every time it slams against her.
“Bofur, Bofur, fuck!” She screams out, biting down onto his shoulder as he pulls her down to slam down onto his cock until her brain is… mush.
He groans into her ear, barely forming sentences as all of his words are followed by harsh grunts. “Kaia… fuck…. so good… Mahal…” His accent seems to become stronger and harsher the closer he gets to his own release.
Suddenly, Kaia felt herself cum again. The overstimulation mixed with the pace at which Bofur slams into her sends her hurtling off of the edge for a second time on his perfect, dwarvish cock.
His hips stuttered, and his eyes flew open as he stared deeply into her eyes.
“Please… please, Kaia, pull my hair!” Bofur whines, and she cannot deny him when he sounds so sweet, asking her so nicely.
With a shaky and weak hand, Kaia reached up and dug her fingers under his hat, which was flopping around erratically to match the speed and strength in which he sheathed himself inside of her.
Finding his scalp, Kaia grasped at his thick hair, tugging with all the strength she could muster and licking the sweat forming around his upper lip.
Bofur howled, slamming for a final time up into her as his cock pulsed erratically, filling her with his warm spend. She bounced herself against him to prolonged his orgasm, and he gasped and moaned as she milked him dry.
After a moment, they lay still.
Resting her cheek against his chest, Kaia listened to the thumping of Bofur’s heart as she tried to catch her breath. The world around her was fuzzy around the edges.
“So much for getting clean…” Kaia chuckles, and Bofur looked down at her with a fond smile.
“I’m so I made you so dirty, lass.” He says. Kaia places a kiss against his lips, nudging at his moustache.
“No, you’re not.”

Hey! I was checking out your masterlist, as I'm sure I remember reading one of your fics ages (years?) ago, I really enjoyed it but I can't remember the title. It was a Kili x OC multi-chapter fic, it followed pretty closely to the movies and it involved a female OC who was a warrior. Now I'm really scraping my memories but she came from a clan? Who were all wiped out?? And she had major beef with Thorin most of the time hahaha. Does this ring any bells for you or am I being crazy?! I'd love to go back and read it again if it was you who wrote it 😂 Have a great day! ❤️
Hi and thank you for checking out my masterlist! This sounds like a really great Kili x OC story, but it wasn't me who wrote it. Tbh I'd love to read it too! Is it possible that you saw it on my blog because I reblogged it from the author?
Let's see if out collective tumblr fanfic hive mind can help. Does anyone recollect this story? @fizzyxcustard @laurfilijames @enchantzz @frosticenow @middleearthpixie @mrsdurin @sherala007 @asgardianhobbit98 @shiinata-library @evenstaredits @sotwk @nerdydcfan and everyone who's reading this... can you help, please?🙏
