at the end of the day, i was a bucks fan first and i grew up a fan of them and i'll be a fan of them till i die. that's my franchise and i may be mad at them for trading khris but i still care. i still care and i still want to see giannis and dame and the rest of them succeed and whomever else after. but i also grew to be a khris fan and got to be a fan of his for the last 12 years. and personally, as someone with chronic pain and my own ankle issues and surgeries and had that destroy my ability to perform in a sport i once loved and now cant even do anymore, i love him that much more because he's always given it his all even if after 2022 it's not what it once was. and i'll always love and respect him for that and i'll always be a fan of his. he is my favorite player and the bucks are my team and neither of those are changing. so yeah, i hope we win against atlanta tonight, i hope khris does well (and who knows maybe i'll watch a few wizards game for him (if they're even watchable with how adam silver has sliced and diced the nba across streaming and cable)) and i hope one day i can see him back in green and cream and retire as a buck (even if it's a one day contract) (even if he was supposed to be a buck for life) and i know the glory days of 2021 have been slowly ending for a while now especially since the jrue trade but man... the love is still there! it's always gonna be there! both can be true. im a khris fan forever, he's my number 1 (well... giannis too but emotionally khris has my heart for very different reasons and so does giannis) and the bucks are forever my team. i grew up watching them be in the trenches and got to watch them rise and overcome that and win a championship and be where we all hoped one day they'd be and show that small markets can be contenders. and khris was a part of that. so the wound is raw, it still stings, but bucks in six, you know?
