NAME: Ketyna

AGE: 24 during Inquisition

GENDER: Female

ORIENTATION: Bisexual

PROFESSION: Barmaid 

BACKGROUND:

A Saarebas originally from Par Vollen, this dangerous Tal-Vashoth fled with her fellow Saarebas, Leandel, and their two Arvaard’s, Estani and Isaura. 

The four of them them were captured and sent to Fort Drakon due to their unpredictable and dangerous magic, though they were soon rescued by their companion, Reiniria and her friend, Dulari, and in turn, aided them in rescuing the elven twins, Cassius and Lyny, in their escape from the Uilos Clan.

Along with Leandel, Estani and Isaura, they now travel with the Sisters of Redemption, a group of women who seek to redeem themselves of past mistakes, lead by Calandra Duray. While Ketyna dislikes the idea of being lead by yet another group, the fact she is in the company of her friends, plus a few new ones, is something she quite enjoys.

SKILLS (S.P.E.C.I.A.L + M)

Strength- 8/10: A lot of her magic is used through the use of her body, so she has trained in martial arts. Her favourite thing to do is to fadestep into battle and straight into a flurry of punches and kicks, her fists usually imbued with magic.

Perception-  5/10: She tends not to pay too much attention to what is going on around her. If she focuses in one thing, then fine, but everything else more or less phases out around her.

Endurance- 8/10: Due to her training in martial arts, her endurance has become quite impressive. She’s very fit and active and can continue going for a long time.

Charisma- 3/10: She’s not a very nice person, often not wanting to even acknowledge someone new, leaving her a very difficult person to approach.

Intelligence- 5/10: She’s not very well educated, in fact, she can’t even read, but she is quite street smart and when it comes to magic, specifically her own, she is quite knowledgeable. 

Agility- 10/10:  Due to her mastering of the fadestep, she finds it easy to get around, so she’s very agile and hard to touch.

Luck- 4/10: She hasn’t had much luck in her life. The only lucky thing to have happened to her is escaping Par Vollen, even then, it wasn’t from luck but out of careful planning.

Magic-  7/10: Her magic can be quite unpredictable and hard to manage, which is why she has spent a lot of her life under the watch of an Arvaard. With the help of said arvaard’s and her fellow saarebas’ companion, she has learned to control it with time.

Calandra - 8. How does your character feel about religion? Velanna and/or Athenril - 42. What does your character want most? What do they need really badly, compulsively? What are they willing to do, to sacrifice, to obtain? Ketyna and/or Isaura - 19. What were your character’s deepest disillusions? In life? What are they now?

Calandra believes in the Maker, but despite being a Seeker, she does find herself questioning her beliefs at times, though she knows doing so out loud would anger her family. 

I wouldn’t say either Athenril or Velanna know what they really need right now. Setting up in a new area with their clan has been going smoothly and right now it’s more about settling in as a whole clan rather than their own individual wants and needs.

For Ketyna, her disillusions is her friendship between herself and the four other female companions she has. After Reiniria left twice, she is feeling angry about the bond between them all, though she’s much too stubborn to bring it all up.
