Stevia Farming in Kenya: The Current State of Stevia Farming in Kenya
Stevia farming in Kenya has emerged as a promising agricultural venture, driven by the global demand for natural sweeteners. Stevia, a plant known for its intensely sweet leaves, has captured the attention of both small-scale and commercial farmers in the country. The sweetener extracted from stevia leaves is non-caloric, making it an attractive alternative to sugar and artificial sweeteners,…

Factors to Consider When Buying a Sugarcane Juicer in Kenya
Sugarcane juice is a popular drink in Kenya, enjoyed by many for its refreshing taste and health benefits. If you're looking to start a sugarcane juice business, or just want to make your own fresh sugarcane juice at home, you'll need a sugarcane juicer machine. With so many options available on the market, it can be challenging to choose the right one. Here are some factors to consider when buying a sugarcane juicer at affordable price in Kenya.
Durability and Quality
When buying a sugarcane juicer machine at reasonable price in Kenya, you want to ensure that it is durable and made of high-quality materials. Sugarcane juice machines made of stainless steel are the most durable and can withstand regular use. Look for machines with sturdy frames and components, such as rollers and gears that are made of high-quality materials.
Capacity and Output
Another factor to consider is the capacity and output of the sugarcane juicer machine. If you're planning to use the machine for commercial purposes, you'll need a machine with a high output capacity. However, if you're just looking to make sugarcane juice at home, a smaller machine may suffice. Consider how much juice you need to produce and choose a machine accordingly.
Ease of Use and Cleaning
You also want to choose a sugarcane juice machine that is easy to use and clean. Look for machines with simple controls and clear instructions. Some machines have automatic feeding systems, which can make the juicing process more efficient. Additionally, choose a machine that is easy to disassemble and clean. Machines with removable parts make cleaning much easier.
Price and Warranty
The price of a sugarcane juicer machine can vary widely depending on the brand, capacity, and features. Consider your budget and choose a machine that fits your needs and price range. It's also important to look for machines with a warranty. A warranty can give you peace of mind and protect your investment in case of any defects or malfunctions.
Maintenance and Repair
Before making a purchase, consider the availability of maintenance and repair services for the sugarcane juice machine. Some brands may have local service centers, while others may require shipping the machine to another location for repairs. Make sure you are comfortable with the maintenance and repair options available for the machine you choose.
Power Consumption
Sugarcane juice machines can consume a significant amount of electricity, especially if used for commercial purposes. Consider the power consumption of the machine and choose one that is energy-efficient to help reduce your energy costs.
Bottom Line
Buying a sugarcane juicer machine at cost-effective price in Kenya requires careful consideration of various factors. Choose a machine that is durable, has a high capacity and output, is easy to use and clean, and fits your budget. Consider buying from reputable sellers, and choose a machine with a warranty for added protection. Invest in a high-quality sugarcane juice machine and enjoy the refreshing taste of fresh sugarcane juice at home or in your business. If you want to relish the delicious taste of fresh sugarcane juice, you can rely on Sugarcane Juice Machine by purchasing efficient sugarcane juice extractor.

Mean girls (2024) thoughts
(obviously spoilers for the movie!)
- personally, I loved it. As someone who’s been totally (not) normal about the og mean girls movie since 2015 and saw the musical on broadway, the target audience was me
- Reneé Rapp Regina my beloved. She was the Regina I saw on broadway so this was extra special to me
- MS NORBURY AND PRINCIPAL DUVALL ARE A COUPLE?? “Can you run this?” “Fine but you walk the dogs the rest of the week” “I love you” “I love you too”. I’m so glad she found a good guy after her divorce <3
- Janis was such a vibe. Idk she just reminds me of myself in high school but with my current fashion sense. Weird art kid rep !!
- I cried twice. Once when they showed cady in kenya bc I always cry at musical opening numbers and again when Mrs. Heron said September 9th. THATS MY BIRTHDAY THEY SAID MY BIRTHDAY IN THE MOVIE
- When Damien performed the icarly theme song in french like it was a film from the 1930s. That was so real of him
- I think it’s actually really important for gen z to have their own version of this story. The explicit queerness of Janis was great. Waaay less of the casual fatphobia that was rampant in the 2000s. As someone who grew up loving mean girls, but also relatively recently graduated from high school, I can relate to this one more and it felt so nice
- in a similar vein, I liked the use of social media throughout the movie. It felt real, like how teens actually use it. This movie just didn’t feel like it was making fun of teens, like a lot of teen media does nowadays
- It’s so funny to me that they’re just not revealing what Glen Coco looks like. Not even some random extra. It’s just everyone reacting to Glen Coco getting the candy cane grams, but no shots of Glen
- WHY is Megan Thee Stallion giving input to drama at some high school in Illinois?? I love how she’s getting into acting now
- Also. The fact that they get real tiktokers sent me. Why did I see chris olsen in this movie
- The beanie baby 😭 so real for girls who grew up in the 2000s
- Lindsey Lohan being at the mathlete competition was everything to me. It was my version of Tobey McGuire & Andrew Garfield in no way home
- I thought the detail that Karen’s necklace with her name on it was backwards several times. She’s so stupid and I love her <3
- Speaking of Karen, her expressions were so funny. Just like this for 90% of the movie 👁️ 👁️
- Principal Duvall’s still got carpal tunnel after all this time, huh
- When Karen was trying on different Halloween costumes, I noticed that she had one of the tank top with the holes cut in it like Regina had in the first movie. We love to see callbacks like that
- Lastly, it was a good movie! People who say it’s bad don’t know what they’re talking about. They probably just didn’t know it was a musical or anything about the musical. But as someone who adores every adaptation of mean girls (except for the “sequel”), it was great!! Ppl who hate it just don’t like fun ig

Ocean Animal of the Week.
Merry Christmas.
Also, happy birthday to an important friend of mine.
No, I am not friends with Jesus.
One of my oceanic companions justhappened to be born on Christmas day. I associate them heavily with crabs, so I decided to make their favorite crab the ocean animal of the week!
This beautiful specimen is the Pink Ghost crab. Adorable.
They are often found on the east coast of Africa, specifically from Kenya to the Eastern Cape region.
They follow the behavior patterns of many other crabs. Living on sandy beaches, burrowing in the sand and feeding on smaller creatures.
Ghost crabs as a species are often preyed upon by shorebirds such as seagulls, and raccoons.
In all honesty, there isn't much to say about pink ghost crabs, or ghost crabs in general... but they are very cute.
Other facts:
-There are around 20 species of ghost crab.
-They are reportedly similar to horn-eyed ghost crabs, but their coloring and eye decoration is different.
-Ghost crabs cannot swim.
-They often have to keep their gills wet, but can't remain beneath water for too long.
-Ghost crabs are extremely fast!
-Their square bodies can grow up to around 3 inches.
I have an extra animal prepared for this week, because I do what I want.
Also, I missed last week, so consider this something to make up for it.
Lionfish!
I totally did not choose this animal because their stripes reminded me of candy canes and fit the holiday spirit that I try to indulge in. Do not be ridiculous.
Lionfish are found in the Indian ocean and Western Pacific ocean, specifically in reefs (coral and mesophotic), lagoons and rocky subtrates.
They mainly prey on smaller creatures, such as small fish, invertebrates and mollusks. They have swim bladder muscles that allow them to have complete control over their placement in water, and edit their center of gravity in order to better capture their food.
They don't have many natural predators, but do engage in cannibalism. Their lack of predators is most likely due to their spines, which are known to be very dangerous.
Other facts:
-They are reportedly aggressive and hostile.
-There are many different species of lionfish, all falling under the genus of "Pterois".
-Their bright coloring acts as a warning. Most bright patterns in nature are meant as warnings.
-They are actually known to be invasive. They act as a threat to reef systems and their natural order.
-There are efforts being made to stop their invasion and preserve the ecosystems that they damage.
-If prepared correctly, they can be consumed by humans.
Both of these species are very different in nature, but I still consider them to be marvelous. Even if lionfish are invasive, they still hold a special place in my heart.
Merry Christmas. Or whatever form of holiday you may or may not celebrate. I do not care, so I do not judge.

The continuous detention of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has drawn sharp criticism from Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) in the 2023 general election. Sowore argues that Kanu’s situation reflects a deeper issue within the Nigerian state regarding its treatment of the Igbo people. In an interview with Rudolf Okonkwo on 90Minutes Africa on Sunday, Sowore stated, "Nigeria has an Igbo problem. It's like when a father is dying; they will tell their children, ‘I have a problem with Igbo people; please continue from there.’” He described Kanu as a victim of the post-civil war treatment meted out to the Igbo. Read Also: Dollar to Naira Exchange Rate Today: Black Market and CBN Rates | October 28, 2024 Kanu initially escaped from Nigeria in 2017 while on bail, facing terrorism charges in a Federal High Court after an invasion of his residence by the Nigerian military. He was arrested in Kenya on June 27, 2021, through collaboration between Interpol and Nigerian security officials and was subsequently brought back to Nigeria in what was termed extraordinary rendition. On October 22, 2022, the Abuja Court of Appeal declared Kanu's extradition illegal and ordered his immediate release. However, the Nigerian government has continued to hold him, filing an appeal at the Supreme Court against the Appellate Court's order. While the Supreme Court acknowledged the illegality of Kanu's extradition, it ruled that this alone was insufficient to secure his release, allowing his continued detention while he faces seven counts related to terrorism at the Federal High Court. "I expected that the first act of Tinubu in office would have been to release Nnamdi Kanu. But the fact that it got worse shows that there is a kind of conspiracy going on," he stated. He further revealed that some Igbo elites were complicit in Kanu's ongoing detention, recalling discussions where the release was postponed until after the election. "And now, after the election, the devil seems to have intervened more strongly," Sowore added. Sowore expressed his lack of confidence in the Nigerian judicial system, claiming it is heavily influenced by the president. Kanu is the official prisoner of whoever is the president of Nigeria. They report his condition to the president daily," he explained. "There is no way he's going to get justice from the courts unless the Nigerian state decides to let him go. I am the archipelago // Eric M. Roach
I am the archipelago hope Would mould into dominion; each hot green island Buffeted, broken by the press of tides And all the tales come mocking me Out of the slave plantations where I grubbed Yam and cane; where heat and hate sprawled down Among the cane – my sister sired without Love or law. In that gross bed was bred The third estate of colour. And now My language, history and my names are dead And buried with my tribal soul. And now I drown in the groundswell of poverty No love will quell. I am the shanty town, Banana, sugarcane and cotton man; Economies are soldered with my sweat Here, everywhere; in hate’s dominion; In Congo, Kenya, in free, unfree America. I herd in my divided skin Under a monomaniac sullen sun Disnomia deep in artery and marrow. I burn the tropic texture from my hair; Marry the mongrel woman or the white; Let my black spinster sisters tend the church, Earn meagre wages, mate illegally, Breed secret bastards, murder them in womb; Their fate is written in unwritten law, The vogue of colour hardened into custom In the tradition of the slave plantation. The cock, the totem of his craft, his luck, The obeahman infects me to my heart Although I wear my Jesus on my breast And burn a holy candle for my saint. I am a shaker and a shouter and a myal man; My voodoo passion swings sweet chariots low. My manhood died on the imperial wheels That bound and ground too many generations; From pain and terror and ignominy I cower in the island of my skin, The hot unhappy jungle of my spirit Broken by my haunting foe my fear, The jackal after centuries of subjection. But now the intellect must outrun time Out of my lost, through all man’s future years, Challenging Atalanta for my life, To die or live a man in history, My totem also on the human earth. O drummers, fall to silence in my blood You thrum against the moon; break up the rhetoric Of these poems I must speak. O seas, O Trades, drive wrath from destinations.
