To my fellow Bünzlis!

Somehow i completely missed that switzerland wants to introduce a mandatory verification for ''adult'' content on the internet. Meaning that you need to actually share your ID with the provider, and they can do with the data whatever they want.

This is BAD.

The Pirateparty have launched a referendum that needs to collect ~20'000 more signatures until the 19th of January. If you can vote in switzerland, you can fill out a form on their website, print it, sign it and throw it into the next mailbox. it takes only a few minutes and it's super important that we manage to get it done!

The goal of the verification is of course to protect minors from harmfull content. in reality it is super easy to use a vpn or something similar to avoid verification, or to send explicit videos in whatsapp etc. so the law doesn't even really do anything to protect minors, but instead forces everyone to give up their anonymity and give away very personal data to big tech companies.

Please share this amongst your swiss friends and families. it is urgent and very important. there is a lot more information on the website of the Pirateparty in german, french and italian.
