I feel like not enough people know about Popee the Performer, and after searching, there is little to no tickle content of them, so I'll change that.

here is my contribution to this weird little show!

TW: Back injury, contortionism

Another morning in the deserted circus, the sun bright as ever and a new act for the ringmaster and sidekick to perform was being set up. Kedamono was seated on a stool as the blonde was pointing to a large board with bold text stating 'Contortionism'.

Popee flipped through various pictures of people in absurd positions, jumping up and down excitedly as the purple wolf's mask fell to reveal a concerned look. Suddenly, Popee tapped the board, then motioning to Kedamono to copy the arrangement. Another mask fell as Kedamono shook his head, hands waving in front of him before turning to run away.

He only made it a few steps before a familiar scent wafted towards him. The purple animal whipped around, face featuring a happy expression as his tail wagged. Popee held a plate of fried chicken in front of his face, knowing the bribe would always work.

Kedamono was snapped out of his trance as the food was moved, realizing he still had to participate in the act. Now nervous, he stretched his arms up, preparing to attempt the pose. He began to bend backwards, hands eventually meeting the ground as the wolf's body resembled an 'n'.

Everything was going according to plan so far! Popee stood back and watched as his "friend" continued to scoot back, hands inching towards his own legs. He was so close! He might actually do it!

The wolf's body bent slightly more, the tension in the circus building. Everything looked fine until...

Craack!

Kedamono fell to the ground, clutching his injured back as Popee fumed. The ringleader stomped his feet and pointed to Kedamono, a look of shame overcoming his previously pained expression.

The striped-clothed circus member rushed over to the other, plate of fried chicken in hand. Kedamono looked up hopefully, only to yelp as Popee threw the plate into a nearby garbage can.

The ringleader sighed, calming himself before motioning to himself with a look that said, 'If you can't do this, watch me instead'. Stepping back, Popee shook out his limbs, preparing to atempt the stunt. Kedamono rose, watching pitifully as the other bent backwards, getting into the designated position, and finally flinging his leg in the air, successfully completing the pose.

Confetti appeared from seemingly nowhere as Kedamono clapped, only for a drawn out moment of silence left the two rather awkward. Something wasn't right. Popee's arms shook under his own weight, but couldn't seem to dislodge himself from the position. Worried looks overcame the both of them as Kedamono made his way over, carefully examining how Popee's body had locked in place.

A thought came to the purple one. Maybe it wouldn't even work, maybe it would get him killed, but boy, if it wasn't a fun idea.

The wolf-critter crept behind his companion, pretending to continue examining the other, poking at his leg still in the air, before prodding at the other's torso, causing Popee to wiggle around. Kedamono decided to continue, poking and tweaking until finally...

THUMP!

Popee lost his balance, wobbling arms dropping him to the ground as he lay, his body a little crumpled but thankfully not injured. After a few moments, Popee sat up, rubbing his head before making eye-contact with his assistant. The look quickly turned to a glare however as Kedamono slowly backed away, arms raised in front of him before dashing off, Popee not so far behind.

Yeah... probably not the best idea, but at least it worked?

WAAAH! I'M SO SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG! I had a complete burnout and couldn't bring myself to write, but I really hope this is okay! 😥😥 I'm going to try to write some more, so I'll probably post another fic in a little while. It's going to be on Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, as that is my hyperfixation for the time being, so if you want me to write for that, I would be ecstatic to! I hope you have a wonderful day/night!

1. When did they join the Zurkus?

I never really decided on an Exact time where Rierrot joined the Zurkus, but I did have an explanation of how they got there

They came across the Zurkus while they were walking through the desert at night. They ended up there by hitchhiking, and there were hardly any cars passing by. Somehow, they wandered away from the road and were trudging along the dunes.

They flop down onto one of the sand dunes, exhausted and ready to call it a night. They find themself looking up at the stars and are filled with a sense of wonder and awe. There's so many stars in the sky! They never saw how many there were in their home town.

Somehow, the sea of stars in the night sky makes them realize how small and how alone they are. They take a moment to think about this.

On the edge of their vision, they see some lights flicker in the distance. They sit up and squint to get a closer look. They hear faint explosions in the distance. Fireworks! They get back up to their feet and walk over to whatever is going on over there.

When they get there, they realize it's a circus. They gaze around at the tents, the cages, the posters and the audience. They don't see any performers, and assume they went to bed. Since they were feeling tired themself. They curl up behind one of the walls, out of sight, and fall asleep.

They woke up to a start the next morning as they thought the Zurkus wasn't a dream. And it sounds like someone's throwing bombs!

Rierrot spends the next few weeks or so trying to stay out of sight while living in the Zurkus, stealing food for themself and making a small "room" for themself in one of the old carriages that the Zurkus crew forgot about.

The Zurkus crew doesn't find out about them until Popee accidentally uncovers them. (I haven't decided if Popee accidentally makes them appear while trying to make an apple disappear or if they get blown into view by a bomb Popee threw)

Popee is about to unleash some Fury onto this random stranger but Papi stops them bc they can join the crew! Papi excitedly leads Rierrot to where the old costumes of past performers were stored and lets them pick out their costume and that's how Rierrot became a clown. :]

2. What kind of circus skills are they good at?

Rierrot is skilled with miming, knife throwing and contortionism!

They're somewhat good with magic tricks, but sometimes their clumsiness will get the better of them and everything falls apart. Their clumsiness also makes juggling, acrobatics and balancing hard.

They suck at tightrope walking and air acrobatics due to this, as well as their extreme fear of heights.

3. How is their relationship with Popee?

I think their relationship is best described like being siblings or cousins. Sometimes they fight and pester each other but they really care about each other and they get upset if something bad happens to the other (outside of Popee's tantrums that is)

Rierrot will stop what they're doing and head over to help Popee if they get hurt or need a hand with something, and they cheer Popee on when they're practicing tricks. Popee will try to cheer Rierrot up whenever they cry (which is often, they are a crybaby) if they're not in an angry or jealous mood ofc

4. How is their relationship with Kedamono?

Rierrot and Kedamono are besties! They both have a few things in common and both offer a shoulder for the other to cry on. Also Kedamono really appreciates Rierrot sticking up for him when Popee loses their temper (even if they do end up getting hurt bc of it)

And like with Popee, Rierrot will lend a hand if Kedamono needs one and will cheer him on when they're practicing. And also like with Popee, both Rierrot and Kedamono get upset if the other gets hurt/killed.

5. How is their relationship with Papi?

Rierrot's relationship with Papi is a little uneasy at first, but they grow used to him over time as they get to know him. They view him as a mentor figure that sometimes unintentionally oversteps their boundaries. Papi views them as an apprentice and kinda like another one of his children.

Rierrot will lend a hand to him typically, but helping Popee and Kedamono is a higher priority for them. They think that since he's the professional he doesn't need as much help as Popee and Kedamono. Rierrot will usually be upset if Papi gets hurt/killed, and Papi will usually be upset if Rierrot gets hurt/killed, but sometimes they'll just go "meh" if they think the other did something stupid (for example, if Rierrot is hurt/dies while trying to stop Popee from attacking Kedamono or Frog, Papi would just shake his head with disappointment)

Sometimes Rierrot will have tea with him or practice yoga/contortionism to spend time with him and to get to know him better.

6. Do they have a mirror form or are the the mirror form?

They do have a mirror form! Torrier! Torrier is an asshole and would probably make Popee look like a saint with how much they like to Start Shit. For Torrier I went the Junk Alley route and just inverted Rierrot's personality traits bc they don't really have an equivalent to swap personalities with.

7. Would they eat scorpions?

I guess it depends on the context and whether it is cooked or still alive. They would try to push themself to eat a cooked scorpion (but they might feel it's gross at first) but they would have a Very hard time trying to eat an alive scorpion.

And this reminds me of a short thing I was planning where the Zurkus crew were practicing eating scorpions for a sideshow act that I never got around to doing! fsdggh

8. How would they react to the White Wolf?

Oh they'd be Fucking Terrified.

9. How often are they killed?

I'd say more often then they have killed. So pretty often I guess.

10. How often have they killed?

If we're talking in terms of intentionally killed, very rarely. And in the rare times they do, it's typically "I've lost my patience with you, Die." or "You're a Threat, Die."

Typically they just accidentally kill others, typically from their own clumsiness or as a result of some freak accident.

11. What do they do after Popee leaves the Zurkus?

They also leave the Zurkus and go on their own path. They probably become an indie filmmaker or musician (maybe both)

12. UFO girls or board game?

Both!

13. How would they react to Papi kissing the poison out of them?

It depends on the context. If Papi didn't kiss the poison from someone else first they'd panic and fight him, but if they saw him kiss they poison out of someone else first they'd grimace and be like "This is awkward as hell, lets just get this over with as quickly as possible Please"

14. Reaction to coming back after dying for the first time?

Fear and Confusion. They'd p much act like Kedamono after he accidentally stepped on Popee's eyes in "Dance".

15. What they hate most about the Zurkus?

Probably the intense desert heat, the fact the Zurkus is so isolated and having to deal with Popee when they're angry. Also the scorpions. They're scared of scorpions.

16. What they love most about the Zurkus?

They love the circus arts, the Zurkus crew, Frog, and the fact that death is not permanent is a big plus.

17. How did they react to the Alien when they met?

They felt shock and awe. And then they learned that the Alien is kind of a grumpy guy and they were mildly upset (kinda in the :/ way, y'know?)

They still try to act kind and polite to the Alien bc they're trying to be considerate, like they don't know whet the Alien is going through, they might just be having a rough time (also they don't like being mean, especially to people with guns)

18. How did they react to the Frog(Kaeru)

I'm not sure if this is referring to Frog in General or in "Face" so I'll do both.

Rierrot was estatic when they first came across Frog and started feeding him bits of food to befriend him. They love this little guy and they will defend him if they need to, even if they need to fight the rest of the Zurkus crew.

In a scenario like in "Face" they would be shocked at first and then they would be like "I didn't know you could talk, little buddy! Why didn't you talk before?" and they end up unintentionally changing the topic and Frog doesn't end up telling everyone abt Kedamono's face bc Rierrot's too amazed abt a Talking Frog.

19. Any visual quirks/tics?

I guess in terms of visual quirks their cowlick is shaped like a heart and their eyes are red! But since it's a dark red they just look brown.

20. How would they react to Kedamono's face?

They would cry, not from sadness but bc they find Kedamono's face so cute.
