Comic Book Saturday

I’ve read both Princess Princess Ever After and The Tea Dragon Society and so I thought that I’d give Aquicorn Cove that is by the same team. It’s more middle grade fantasy. This time the main character, Lana, has just recently lost her Mom and is grieving. And so when Lana rescues an injured sea-horse-ish creature and then with her Aunt Mae’s help heal it. Lana also wants to to protect the colony of the same creatures, that includes helping cleaning up the shore. Then, a second storm is coming…

The art is amazing, and, honestly, if someone erased all the words, I still think that I’d have been able to get about 90% of what the story is, just through the art. The words though, were really fun too. And, while I thought that it might become to preachy based on the blurb about it, it definitely wasn’t. Not to mention, the panel where the Aquicorn sneezes….. 🩵Perfection.

Amigxs, minha última leitura - obs: tive MUITA sorte com ela(s) - foi a trilogia de Tea Dragon Society e meu deus..... me falta palavras para descrever essa experiência. Os desenhos, os temas, os personagens, a delicadeza e os dragões.... TUDO nessa série foi perfeita.

Me fez chorar diversas vezes e eu queria ter tido a sorte de ter lido esses livros enquanto pequena pra crescer com a leveza e magia que elas entregam.

Enfim, muito obrigada Katie O'Neill, suas palavras ficarão marcadas pra sempre no meu coração ❤️🐉🍵🫧🪻
