Major Tom Pugh(Pilot) and Major Ronnie Rice(RSO) were airborne in SR-71 #978 on May 15, 1972, whenever everything you can think of that could possibly go wrong went wrong.

They are flying a routine giant-scale mission when Tom becomes concerned about a strange hum in the interphone system. The system seems to go back to normal. The flight continues. Tom maintains a Mach 3.8 at 79,500 feet when a generator fails. This failure was a mandatory abort; just over one minute later, the other generator failed, and then they were in real trouble. Emergency AC/DC power did not come online; the fuel pumps stopped pumping the JP7 fuel to the engines without electrical power and lacked pump pressure to pump the fuel. Both engines stopped, causing them to flame out.

To add to the crew's grief, the inlet spikes went full forward, and the 978 Began pitching and rolling; they knew that the aircraft was approaching the limits of the supersonic flight envelope.

Tom instructed Ron to get ready to bail, but the intercom system failed.

Tom held the stick gently while struggling to control the jet without causing further pilot-induced oscillations. While also trying to reach the all-import standby electrical switch located on his right-hand panel. To reach that critical switch, he had to move his left hand off the throttles and onto the control stick to free his right hand so he could restore some of the electrical power to the airplane. Tom miraculously pulled the switch to retain power. Mission accomplished! Having descended to 41,000 feet slow to Mach one, he managed to get the generator back online, and both engines relit. 🔥🔥

Tom crossed Laos to recover at Odorn RTAFB without further problems. Post-flight analysis showed that Tom and Ron overflown Hanoi at 41,000 feet! They had been fortunate, considering the number of SAMS that circled the city. It appeared that the Vietnamese radio operators and their Soviet advisors had been asleep at the switch during the 978 mid-altitude pass over one of the best-defended cities in the world,

Tom and Ron were each awarded air medals for successfully landing their disabled aircraft.SR-71 #978 “The bunny” had pulled off a lucky escape from what appeared to be an easy shootdown situation. The SR 71 with the bunny, her luck wouldn’t last for long as her days were numbered 😞 She was lost on Thursday, July 20, 1972, while attempting to land at Kadena AFB during extreme crosswinds.

Episode One: Carcass

Synopsis: Raven’s End has been plagued by a series of missing peoples cases all through the years. Rue finds her husband’s Tom’s corpse by the beach, ripped to shreds. Florence finds herself sleepwalking to the sea again, like she did when she was a child. Zane gets mysteriously injured while surfing. James meets a strange woman on the beach, Cassie Mort who scares him with her strange words and rituals.

Episode Two: Myths and Lies

Synopsis: Rue finds out from Sarah that her husband was last seen with a mysterious woman. The story of William Vane is revealed, the mass murderer in who would kill people and throw the corpses in the ocean. Zane has increasingly disturbing nightmares. Florence finds herself blacking out and becoming easily angered. James seeks out Cassie after his friend dies while swimming.

Episode Three: Encounter

Synopsis: Florence wakes up to find out that she has killed and eaten her pet dog. She becomes panicked and checks into a hospital not telling them the truth. But there is nothing medically wrong with her. Rue finds out that William Vane had a daughter who was put up for adoption and sets out to find her. Zane follows his visions to meet the sirens, Una, Enva, and Aura. They try to kill him and lure him into the water but James saves him.

Episode Four:

Synopsis: David has gone missing and Florence worries that she had something to do with it. Rue contacts James after Cassie approaches her. Zane remembers Florence’s face being the last thing he saw before being injured. William Vane was last seen swimming out to sea as the police were on his case about the murders.

Episode Five: Transformation:

Florence follows her urges and swims into the ocean at night, only to find that she is a siren. She meets Una on a rock who explains that they were calling her to reclaim her birthright. Florence discovers that William Vane believed that he was the heir to the sea and ended up having a child with a siren. He hid the child when he knew that the cops were on his trail.  Rue finds Vane’s old diary when snooping around his home and found out his true intentions. Zane talks to David whom they discovers once hunted Sirens. They begin to plan a hunt.

Episode Six:

 Zane and David go monster hunting and capture Una, who kills David. Rue kills Cassie in self defence once she finds out that she too is a siren. Florence spots James and started to lure him in, but gives up once she sees how vulnerable he is.
