it's shen x zed, adding the disclaimer i absolutely do not see their relationship as familial at all; childhood best friends, certainly, but not adoptive brothers (i could write an essay about how i don't think that's what it comes across even in the comic and how they were not really raised as siblings despite what kusho represents to both of them but that's!! not what i should be talking about so i'll leave it here). of course, i'm absolutely still wiling to write it as a purely platonic relationship.

honestly other than that i'm always always open to exploring things rp can result in unexpected but really fun pairings so!! it's not at all the only thing i'd be willing to write.

not necessarily, although openly suggesting you're interested in shipping is actually nice for me because even when i can see it i'm often like oh i don't wanna come across as pushing for that even if it makes sense for how this interaction is going so like. asking is not necessary, it can happen naturally, but i am 100% fine with someone asking as long as they're also fine with the possibility i'll say no, and talking about it actually makes me far less anxious

No offense to the Abigael Caine x Mel Vera shippers who are convinced their ship was endgame despite the Charmed reboot being done and cancelled for over a year now + Mel’s canon endgame love interest being the owner of The Blue Camilla, but:

Abby is, canonically, not Mel’s type.

Canonically, Mel has repeatedly been romantically/sexually attracted to non-white women: Niko (Japanese), Ruby (Black), Roxie (actress is of mixed heritage), Jada (Black), Kat (actress is Malayaisan-American).

Abigael also started the demon-witch war in the first half of season 2, schemed and manipulated her way into becoming Demon Overlord, outright was proud of demons killing witches on her orders, and repeatedly treated Mel and her sisters like shit whenever she was onscreen. (And then came running to them for help when the demands of being the Overlord were too much for her to handle, lol, nah.) Why the hell would Mel, canonically speaking, even want to be in a romantic / sexual relationship with her?

Abigael showed zero remorse for her actions in Season 2. She also lorded her magical knowledge over the Charmed Ones, and the sisters were written like total dumbasses in order to make Abby look better and smarter.

There’s also the scene where Abigael stole Macy’s pyrokinesis by making Macy (an Afro-Latina witch) kneel before her, a white English witch. Apparently for no reason other than shits and giggles.

Personally, I never liked Abigael as a character. I hate overly smug characters who run circles around the main characters, especially when the mains are turned into absolute dumbasses to make this character look smarter and better than they really are.

I don’t like Abigael for the same reasons I hated River Song from Doctor Who and Bela Talbot from Supernatural. They’re all cut from the same cloth.

It really felt like the season 2 & 3 writers wanted so badly to make the show about Abigael and disliked their supposed main characters. As for all the Abimel shippers going on about their chemistry and how the ship should have been endgame … 1) I don’t see it; 2) I’ve been through this before with Sterek and Destiel shippers and oh my gods did those obnoxious shippers make me hate both their respective ships.

c9w disbands, xset is set to get Bob and kat, and Mel and Alexis to go to version x.

version x has fucking florescent, noia and Sarah already like.... they're just gonna be the new c9w if their chemistry works out bc they're all fucking terrifying players.

its all a matter of how well they mesh, especially since most of c9w has played together for ~2 years.

Bart for sure knows he’s attractive, in the chaotic Pan way which Jaime loves. Jaime knows people think he’s hot but he doesn’t always agree.

Donny and Mel are both on this side for different reasons. Donny has some scars, not a lot but a few, that make it hard for him to feel attractive. Plus before Mel he was dating only civilians (who he had to hide his powers from) and that made him insecure with other things. Mel has a lot of body image issues thanks to her father, most of which she works through with a therapist.

Next gen people:

Finn, Sawyer, and Kat most definitely know they’re hot, which they attest to their grandparents 😂 they grew up with Luca and Matt teaching them that being attractive is personality more than looks. They just happen to have both.

The baby dolls and Luke know…but that doesn’t stop the girls from bickering over who’s the prettier twin…even though they’re identical.

Ziva is too busy running science experiments to care. People have told her and her response is usually “and?”

Roro and Aza grew up with their mothers teaching them ‘beauty is in the eye of the beholder.’ They both know they’re attractive, but Azalea doesn’t have the confidence to try a whole lot of out their looks. Roro, again, doesn’t care…unless you’re an asshole in which case she’ll make it her mission to make your day miserable.

Asha definitely knows and, like the Best boy kids, says she had great genes.

Ben and Max grew up with Milagro teaching them how to feel confident in themselves, to celebrate their individual looks, and to dress like themselves, whoever that is at the moment. Ben also grew up with family telling him he has the most beautiful eyes (hetero chromia). Max definitely likes his clothing style more.

The Kent kids are interesting—

Charlie has a lot of burn scars on her back from Cadmus, which she hates letting people see even family. For her to let the scar show around people is a big trust thing.

Peter knows he’s attractive in the artistic sense, like the Davinci model thing, but he has a lot of issue with his body because of past trauma.

M&M has a scar on her sternum from heart surgery she had as a kid (who wants those headcannons?), but isn’t insecure about it. It’s a part of her story and she is better than ever.

Laney knows she’s attractive, thank you genes, but the issue lies with her overall relationship with her body. She is still affected by Kryptonite even though she doesn’t have Jon or Mar’i’s powers. Cadmus presses a piece of it against her skin and it left a burn on her stomach. It’s something that makes things complicated, really
