Aside from Aerith, Tifa and Yuffie, nearly every other female character is Rebirth feels so... samey. Personality-wise, I mean. It's not very compelling.

Was working on the tifa romance route

and at chapter 12, i get barret to take me to loveless and not tifa.

I understand the affinity system in FF.7 Re.birth is... interesting.

that you options you pick alter the bonds you make and the like

but when is it put down as 'the one with the highest affinity' and you've done as much content as you can so everyone has high affinity... well....

it falls a little.... flat.

Every time Hojo shows up in this game, i just think of that accursed Final Fantasy House situation

on the other hand, i get to roll around as Cait Sith and that's fun.

I don't know if the Gi are new to Final Fanta.sy 7 in rebirth but

i do like their inclusion a lot actually.

look. i get it. cloud is the main character but after just beating this terror of the deep and then SWIMMING abck to shore

you do not get to demand that he doesn't stand there and help you in helping this other character with chest compressions when you are LITERALLY surrounded by 10+ other people!
