I've noticed that there are people in the fandom who think Beatrix and Cordelia were super rivals and hated each other too much, but the reality is otherwise.

It used to happen a lot that Cordelia was annoyed that Beatrix was given a little more attention because she had the first child so she saw it as a threat to Beatrix but Beatrix couldn't care less.

Beatrix wanted Shu to be the heir but not to get KarlHeinz's love, instead Cordelia thought that if Ayato was better than Shu, KarlHeinz would love her more (he really manipulated her a lot).

Seeing things like this, Cordelia had more problems with Christa, because both longed for the love of KarlHeinz, Beatrix only wanted her son to be the heir without looking for anything else.

So in short, Cordelia sought to provoke and denigrate Beatrix who did not even flinch, but with Christa it was the eternal fight of who really was the only one who loved KarlHeinz.

(It is said that KarlHeinz only loved Christa, but personally I doubt that he did, at the end of the day they were all manipulated and used as tools for KarlHeinz's experiment).

How much of a terrible mom was Cordelia? A full explanation.

It's a shame that the first post of my blog is dedicated to a rather ''interesting'' take @yuikomorii showed me, but taking into account that I've done my research involving the mothers, I find it a perfect opportunity to make a full explanation of Cordelia's abusive behavior.

Before I start, I would like to talk about why Cordelia acted the way she did (I AM NOT JUSTIFYING HER ACTIONS).

We know that Cordelia's father was neglectful towards her after the death of her mother which made her lack the ability to understand love.

Karlheinz manipulated Cordelia into marrying him and giving him children FORCEFULLY (because Cordelia did not want to have children). He also convinced Cordelia that it was okay for her to have many lovers and to have sexual relationships with FAMILY members

Cordelia's abusive behavior towards the triplets also comes over the fact of her jealousy and obsession with Karlheinz and surpassing Beatrix and Christa.

Getting this out of the way I will now start explaining why Cordelia was NOT a good mother despite her traumas.

It's not strange to view Cordelia negatively if she's one of the antagonists of the franchise. NEVER did Diabolik lovers ever paint Cordelia as a good person and constantly tell us about how shitty she was towards her children and how much it affected them.

2. I'm not denying the fact that around those times parenting was more strict, however, you're forgetting that Cordelia didn't just slap, ground, or yell at her children, she put intense waves of pressure on Ayato, and drowned him, she sexually abused Laito, manipulated him and groomed him when he was a KID, forced Kanato to sing until he bled and made him watch her have intercourse with other men. This was the abuse the triplets went through until they finally had enough and attempted to kill Cordelia, which they succeeded.

3. Yes, it's true that Beatrix wouldn't give the triplets much attention or love, she would probably neglect them due to not being her biological children and belonging to her rival, however, Beatrix WOULD NEVER do the messed up stuff Cordelia did. Yes, she was a terrible mother to Shu and Reiji, yet she would've never stepped down at Cordelia's level.

4. A normal mother doesn't drown and threaten her child due to personal issues, A normal mother doesn't sexually abuse her child and grooms him to make him depend on her, and a normal mother doesn't force her child to watch her have sex with men and doesn't use his singing voice to get horny. If she was an affectionate mother ayato wouldn't have found the need to HIDE himself from her and the triplets wouldn't have considered killing her.

5. I would also like to add, that no matter how badly influenced Cordelia was, and no matter how much childhood trauma she went through, that would never be a justification for the way she treated her children. This does not only apply to Cordelia, this applies to every character and to real people as well. It's a reason why they behave that way, but never a justification. Also, Cordelia doing the bare minimum and behaving like an actual mother for a few moments does not mean she cares about her children. I don't think this is explicitly told, but I believe in those particular scenes she's grooming Kanato to become dependent on her like she did with Laito and Ayato.

6. ''She never spoke that way to her children'' I'm sorry but I have to laugh?? I would've understood if you were an anime only (not really) but taking into account that you do know about the games this is really really wrong lol. I don't why it's difficult to understand that Cordelia didn't love her children. Cordelia is such a bad mother that when she was resurrected in Ayato's DF route, she didn't even apologize to him or to his siblings, and yet he still forgave her! She even told Ayato to APOLOGIZE to her and continued to insult him

I understand (I think everyone in the fandom does) that Cordelia had her reasons to behave this way (childhood trauma and manipulation) but that doesn't excuse her actions. I don't agree with people hating on Cordelia and loving Karlheinz but I also don't agree with people defending Cordelia and saying she did nothing wrong when she did.

Cordelia isn't a black-and-white character and she's not a bad character either, she's very well-written for her purpose (an antagonist) but she's not a good person or mother. She never regretted what she did and if she was still alive during HDB she would've still been abusive to the triplets.

This is my problem with morally grey characters/Evil characters. They can't exist in media if people ignore their wrongdoings and actions and try to justify said actions. I'm not saying that they shouldn't exist but I'm tired of people painting them as good people or justifying their actions when their whole purpose as a character is to show that they're not good people and their actions are/were wrong.

To finish off the post I would like to say that I love Cordelia's character and I consider her to be one of the best-written characters in Diabolik Lovers. In my opinion, I would've liked to know more about her in further games but even if I feel this way about her I don't justify her actions and that's something we should all do. I'm glad the fandom no longer justifies the actions of the characters (with some obvious exceptions). And even if I like Cordelia as a character I don't shame others for not liking her, at the end of the day she was a horrible person lol.

Changes I made for it to be the slightest bit more appropriate is that the sacrificial bride/groom was given Cordelia's heart recently before they came to the sakamaki brother, instead of as a baby I probably added more warnings than needed, but I just want to be safe. I will explore Richter and Karlheinz falling in love with a bride/groom on their own later.]

Karlheinz

If Karlheinz fell for the sacrificial bride/groom, he would be in a sort of denial at first. He would show up more in their dreams and interact with them more as Reinhart. It won't take him long to realize he fell for them. He would have no problems taking away the sacrificial bride/groom meant for his sons. He'd see them as interesting since he has never felt this way before. He had tried and failed to feel such a way.

He would find them entertaining and amusing. Now, let's get to the negatives of having his romantic attention. He will most likely manipulate them for whatever reason he sees fit if needed. He will probably kidnap them once he is sure of his feelings.

-Karlheinz "Fufu, no no, Starz, I'm only borrowing them from my sons."

Sure...

Anyways, they can expect to get gifts like clothes or whatever he knows they like. He will not be with them as much as his sons because he is still a busy man. Maybe the gifts are a way to make up for it? He would go out of his way so that they know a minimum of his wives and what he has done to his wives. He would have certain dependency and obsession with them. He would both hate and love his dependency.

Part of his reason for taking them away would be how his sons are towards brides/grooms.

Scene ::

Karlheinz says with a smile as he reaches out for the bride/groom. The bride/groom starts to feel dizzy and faints.

Richter

If Richter fell for the sacrificial bride/groom, he would literally PANIC. He is supposed to be in love with his beloved Cordelia. That was the whole reason to put Cordelia's heart in them. He would feel like he was betraying Cordelia, but I don't think he would ignore his attraction and possessiveness towards them after a while. He would probably compare them to Cordelia in some ways. He would have a hard time getting over Cordelia.

Now, I want to get more on the cruel side of things. He would be harsh with them at first and at certain times as they got closer. He finds it ridiculous that he fell for a human, especially one that was meant to bring back Cordelia. He wouldn't tolerate any negative words towards Cordelia and might even have lingering affection as they get closer. So they will most likely receive punishments if they wish ill upon her. (As he would put it)

Scene ::

"Foolish human..."

Richter mutters as he watches the bride/groom from a distance.

If they both fell for the bride/groom, it would be a mess. Karlheinz would be in denial, and Richter would be panicking. Both would be more possessive. With Richter getting very jealous because of Karlheinz. A lot of what I said before would still happen. Richter would be the one to look for them when Karlheinz "Borrows" them.

Karlheinz most likely wouldn't take getting confronted by Richter seriously. The bride/groom would somehow get the two to share them. Now, the bride/groom is stuck with the demon king and the demon king's brother. The bride/groom is more likely to get more punishments from Richter out of jealousy because Richter feels they favor Karlheinz. Karlheinz would start to stop these punishments if he feels the bride/groom pulling away from him.

Both would have a certain dependency on the bride/groom. If the groom/bride played their cards right, they would have both wrapped around their finger.

Choosing Eve

This is not the first time this has happened.

He had tried before of course, this was a failed attempt.

Cordelia was supposed to be Eve at least it is assumed, however, Karl found that she had no redeeming qualities and discarded her as a possibility and instead focused on a new way of inventing Eve.

This Adam and Eve project was only created so he could die, at least according to what Cordelia has stated.

He of course needs his sons to obtain power from the sacrificial bride to do this, but each one has not succeded.

Of course, this doesn't mean that Karl hasn't thought of the qualities needed for one to become Eve.

Unmistakably she couldn't have traits or similar qualities to those of any demon race except for having advantages such as supernatural powers.

Apart from this, he presumes Eve to be a woman of good morals, something so pure and selfless.

Yet, he'd have "Eve" be entangled with evil of course for the sake of tradition and following the usual plot we see in terms of biblical stories.

Although he wouldn't go out of his way to selectively choose, since we see that in the show Yui wasn't chosen. At least they claim.

However, the church gave her up which means, church must be doing Karl's bidding.

Assuming this, it doesn't surprise me if Karl has only given his son's church girls since he may believe religious people to be the ones with the best morals and the kindest hearts.

Given the way a good experiment should run, this would be considered a good sample representative if he were selecting a large group. However, the design of his study is much smaller so he wouldn't need a sample. Still his choosing of subjects and participants are coming from a place that would seem most appropriate. He wants someone with good morals he selects people who believe in faith.

And working with the church he asks them to only donate the women who are most pious. Of course, they get something in return for such work.

Thus, this makes Yui a candidate for Karl's absurd experiment.

Anyway, this was just some thoughts.

The common BRUTE END occurs when Noctis fails to raise the TRUST Stat. If that occurs, the boys remain as cruel as ever, slowly driving her mad and giving her a mental breakdown. On that same night, she decides to "speed up" her mission by having all the Sakamaki brothers killed, which also causes the church's initial plan to fail. As a result of that, Karlheinz kills her at the end to reset the time, giving his and Lilith's bet a second try, which results in the TRUE END if Noctis manages to raise the TRUST stat. This brute ending is canon to the actual story, as it is connected to MORE, BLOOD. It made Karlheinz question why "the apple rotted."

Since she is a Genesis (own species), due to her increased sadistic behavior (S) from the past days she spent here and the murder spree, she slowly lost balance of her humanity (M) and turned into a Founder, hence why the yellow eyes.

There were supposed to be some more ded vampires in the background, but so tired already ( ´･ω⊂ヽ゛you have been spared from seeing your boys bite the dust.

It was one of those days-

Their mothers and Karlheinz were just as bad, if not even worse. The Mukamis could not redeem themselves but they were bearable, especially Azusa who was just less annoying and irritating, or atleast didn't make you wanna dig your nails in your skin and clutch hard till it bleeds, like the others. You had an exception between the seven Sakamaki siblings as well, whom was Subaru.

Subaru was one helluva person to deal with. If not for Karlheinz introducing you to his past, you would've kept your first impression of him, which was he had rabies.

That boy was as layered and complicated as an onion, and trying to navigate through his mind and emotions was gonna drive you mad. One moment he's calling you a dense ass for dropping a pencil or getting bitten, and the other he's glancing at you all soft like a high school girl in love would.

You swore you have spent and used more brain cells on trying to see through him than you had on maths. He could be downright cruel at times, and even dismissed you so harshly that you favored the men-whore final boss (Laito) over him for some while, which didn't last long when he forced you so adorably in a 'relationship' with him or is what you thought, since he ordered you to resist if any of his brothers try to bite you. What else did it mean?

He would become absolutely feral when he got jealous. It was pretty easy to make him reach that point, but dangerous. He would start yelling at you and destroying everything around him in blind rage when he saw you talk to a male teacher or student or his brother's, going as far as attempting drain you of plasma. It was all too tiring and frustrating, you wanted nothing but quietness, to be left alone and ignored.

His delusion of you being his was so utterly nonsensical, but you went along with it for your safety and sanity, it was wise to sometimes give up and give in to his delusions, which he used as a control and power element. Resisting only meant to get bit to near death, where you'd start to see stars and lights that you thought only existed in cartoons, or, like these times, when he'd strangle you.

-where you'd snap.

"Shut the FUCK UP!" You'd yell at the top of your lungs, couldn't you even be strangled to death silently? His yammering of you being a betrayer was so damn irritating. Subaru jolted and flinched away form the volume of your voice, that look on your eyes, he backed up slightly, his grip on your throat weakened. In a swift movement, you dug your nails deep into his unhealthily pale wrists, shoving him away with every ounce of strength you had left.

Subaru stumbled backwards, catching himself quickly, his white boots stepping on a broken shard of glass from a vase that you bet was supposed to be cherished. You felt guilty for using one of his traumas against him to make him halt, stop. Yes, but did it save you from getting choked? Yes.

The anger was incredibly contagious, you bite your lip to hold back all the insults and traumas you could bring up, knowing that it would just bring you brutal death and a quick burial in dirt in the next hour, you shut your mouth, trying to find saliva to relieve your sore throat that was deeply in dire need of moisture.

The grip he had on your throat just now had been so tight you could've sworn he had actually meant to kill you for a second. Your breathing became labored. Your heartbeat was stubborn and didn't wanna settle down. Your eyes stared back at Subaru's with a mixture of tears and fury, you blink. Trying to help your eyes get used to the light again.

Both of you had your flaws and toxic traits, you suddenly found yourself on top of Subaru, a hard grip on his hair that matched his on your throat earlier, you wipe salty tears away, everything was a blur. You swore you couldn't remember a thing. You'd insult other people for not controlling their actions, yet you couldn't keep yours in check either.

"Sorry," You murmured against his pale skin, kissing alongside the hickies and bite marks you left on his neck. They looked painful. He was a vampire, so you didn't worry too much. They'd heal in an hour or two. You were still between his thighs, cum dripped down his hips and legs.

"You just piss me off sometimes...It's so childish when you start yammering and yelling, creating scenes when I talk to anyone," You watched his wine red eyes trail down in something like shame. His mouth was sewed shut, he was already embarrassed from moaning as loud as he yells. He hiccups and whimpers as he covered his face with his hands. “So full..hic- too much," His legs dangle like a rag doll's from your shoulders as you plundge inside him deeper and deeper with each delicious thrust.

You lean down with a sigh, catching Subaru's lips in a kiss, and grab at his long bangs, tugging hard to tilt his head upward, and swallow down the loud wail that was about to wrack from his body as he came, vibrating slightly and hips thrusting up pathetically in the air. His fangs poked at your lip a bit painfully as he tried to bite down his noises, now chasing after your lips and the little blood that threatened to spill.

Getting strangled or beat again later from a flustered Subaru wouldn't be surprising after wracking his shit, but it was worth it. You could only laugh as he emptily threatened to break your arm after this, complaining that he couldn't feel his legs and that you're a perv.
