Karl Alexander Wilke (Austrian-German, 1879-1954) • Illustration for the Austrian humorist magazine, Die Muskete
Die Muskete was a humorist weekly magazine which was published in Vienna weekly, from 1904-1941. Its philosophy was to utilize the talents of young local artists and writers in Vienna. It underwent significant changes around World War I, first as a "soldier's magazine, then a "gentleman's magazine).
