Can you tell us more about how you're gonna go about "unworf-ing" Chad, what's his whole deal in your version of Bleach :)
In canon, Chad is frequently treated as "Old Reliable" despite not winning a single fight he's in since the middle of the aarancar arc.
I've found that it's HILARIOUS to write him exactly the opposite way- Ichigo and his friends are continually terrified that chad will be hurt in a fight- he's such a gentle soul! It was such a struggle for Ichigo to get Chad to start defending himself, what if he starts letting people beat him up again?
Chad, meanwhile is out there kickin' ass, takin' names and not even breaking a sweat about it. So far he's:
Saved a family of Ducklings
Given Yamamoto a concussion
Knocked out two of Aizen's teeth
Made it into the top 10 academic achievers in Karkura High School
Put the Fear of Chad into Shinji
Technically become a mobile artillery weapon
Destroyed about 34% of a city
Started a Band
Beat an entire company of Wandenreich with a Trombone
Gave a presentation in front of like, 12 whole people and only cried about it once, afterwards!
Destroyed 22% of another city, but it was a much bigger city so it was a bigger bang despite being a smaller percentage
finally figured out how to sew sleeves onto a shirt

Karkura/Khajur/Dates the most useful #traditional #medicinal #plant in India. Its #fruit is known as #Date which is the edible part of the plant. The fruits are a rich source of #carbohydrates, #vitamins, and #proteins. Its fruit is sweet (madhura), astringent (kasaya) in taste.
1. With rich in iron, Dates Fruit promotes blood circulation to the scalp and helps #HairGrowth. 2. Dates come with anti-aging benefits and also help combat other #skin issues. 3. To reduce the frequency of night #blindness, ground the leaves of Dates Fruit into a paste and rub it around the eyes. 4. Dates Fruits are very much helpful for improving the #DigestiveSystem. 5. If Dates added to milk, it is very nutritious and boosts up the energy. 6. Dates help in #WeightGain and are beneficial for those who suffer from the over slimming problem. 7. Rub Dates seed in a tablespoon of water and give it to the patient, who is suffering from #LooseMotions. 8. Dates are good in reducing foot swelling during #pregnancy and also for breastfeeding women.

Very very dumb Grimmichi AU / fic prompt idea where Grimmichi have a kid and it throwing soul society and Hueco mundo into chaos because the sudden spiritual pressure of the baby that doesn’t make sense has emergency meeting called in soul society and everyone freaking the fuck out!
This spiritual pressure is so weird it’s hollow definitely hollow oh FUCK is this going to be another war what is this?? Where is it Karkura town...OH FUCK! Did Urahara do something? What’s he done now? Someone find out how much we should be panicking.
They can’t get in contact with Urahara or Yoruichi for some reason. Ichigo said he was on some sort of leave and all forms of communication are off. Rukia and Renji are also on leave to see Ichigo so they start sending other teams.
They start freaking out when the teams they send don’t come back. Eventually the captains and lieutenants show up ready for another war... just to find their way to Ichigo’s house... and see an upset Urahara outside emptying his pockets out and complaining while Rukia stares him down reminding him about a ‘No experimental equipment or testing stuff near the baby or we will kill you try taking their blood again and Grimmjow is going to eat you and we will not stop him.’
It leads to the entire gotei 13 shuffling into the house to see the cause of the odd spiritual pressure the newest member of the Kurosaki family, as well as all the previous teams who are cooing over the baby. Who is half hollow but also has hollow from her other dad but also Shinigami and quincy powers to.... they have to send Mayuri outside to also empty his pockets and be warned there will be murder if he gets close to the baby.
Isshin is a sobbing mess because there’s a grandbaby, Yuzu and Karin have already declared themselves best aunt and Yoruichi is a sobbing mess who has already declared herself godmother ‘they’re a kitten!’
Urahara does eventually get in... only to be kicked out when in his hypothesising about what powers the baby may have turns to Grimmjow and Ichigo and declares that they need to have another baby right now so he can see if power manifests differently.

He can’t help the way his attention tracks back to you when you stretch. He works his fingers down into fabric, still muddled from sleeping so deeply for so long. He thinks it was long. It felt like it.
He stills and slides a glance toward you, hesitating. “Are you going to be offended if I say I just want to know when it’s not around my family anymore? It did turn on you, and has a lot of reason to lash out.” But that sounds like he’s second guessing you. And he’s not. Not exactly. And if he is, he feels kind of bad about it, but not bad enough to stop worrying about it, apparently. And there are plenty of people to handle a rouge hollow. Assuming any of them are around, and it didn’t corner his sisters alone.
He shakes his head, "No. I'm not offended." Nor is he surprised. You already expressed your worries about it when he first told you he sent a messenger. But he also told you, "It's goin' to Grimmjow or Ganten first. It's not going to make it to your family's house unescorted. As far as everyone's concerned, Karkura is my territory. No one's gonna come or go without them knowin' about it. And they know to watch your family too." He's already told you this, but maybe it's just not enough to put your mind at ease. "We can go back ourselves if you want." He also offers, "The hollow could be back already and waitin' on us. I don't know how long it's been since I sent it. Seems like it's been long enough." They've done some time consuming things since then. He pushes to his feet. "C'mon, lets go see if it's back yet."

The Karkura gang just being actually teenagers for once.
(They deserve to just be kids for a while, after all the crap they've gone through)
Game night is every last Friday of the month, and who hosts it always rotates. There's a "no-holding-grudges" rule for when things get too intense, but Ichigo and Uryu always break it anyway when the other one wins. Orihime is incredibly good at card games, but Chad has the best poker face.
They also study together whenever they get a chance, since they don't want their grades to slip any more due to Soul Reaper/Hollow shenanigans. You may think Uryu's the best tutor of the group, but it's actually Chad (Uryu gets better grades, but Chad is better at teaching other people).
Whenever one of them is sick, the other three take turns visiting them throughout the day to take care of them, make meals, get any medicine and do any chores around the house, etc. Chad and Orihime especially appreciate this since they live alone, and being sick can drain them of the energy they need to do everything.
They have a group chat together as well! Orihime was the one who made it, and she just gave it a simple title ("Group Chat"). She has little emojis to indicate who's who: Ichigo is, of course, 🍓. Uryu is 🏹, Chad is 🐢 (because he once said he thinks the turtle emoji is the cutest one), and Orihime is 🌈.
Ichigo learned how to make friendship bracelets from Yuzu and Karin years ago (when you have little sisters, you just learn stuff like that at some point) and he made one for each of them with each of their favorite colors. They each have four stripes to represent their favorite colors: Orange (Ichigo), dark blue (Chad), green (Uryu), and light blue (Orihime)

➤He was surprised when he didn’t see them at the fake Karakura town, they were a strong healer and it seemed stupid to have them anywhere else.  He never imagine they’d station s/o in the real karkura town to heal the few shinigami that’d been placed there.
➤He didn’t realize they saved him at first, honestly he thought he was dead and just living out a final dream.  It’s not until he feels their tears on his face that he realizes that this is reality.
➤He doesn’t say anything, well, he really doesn’t know what to say.
➤S/o doesn’t really care that he’s in shock, instead they just pull him into a hug and cry.
➤He has a hard time making out some of the things they’re saying through sobs but he can vaguely make out, “I was worried” “You’re so stupid I hate you sometimes.” “I missed you.”
➤He’ll just silently wrap his arms around them and pull them into a tight embrace before apologizing.
➤Eventually they move away from the area because Ichigo and Aizen’s fight is dangerous and they’re not risking somehow getting caught in it.  Plus s/o is sure if Aizen sees that Gin is still alive he’ll try to kill him again.
➤Gin doesn’t know what to do than just apologize for all the pain he’s caused s/o by leaving the way he did.  That being said, he doesn’t apologize for leaving them in the dark. That was for their safety because he has no doubt Aizen would’ve found out if he told them.
➤No sassy or vague remarks for him, just apologies and silence.
➤Even after they move s/o makes sure they’re touching in some way, just missing him entirely. His head in their lap or just holding his hand-they know they have to let him lay down because yes, while they kept him from dying he’s not completely healed.
➤S/o knows they have things to talk about, he knows they have things to talk about, but for now they just want to enjoy each others presence.

I just want some omakes of the Karkura kids doing silly teenage things and some kurosaki siblings being cute. Maybe one with Ryuken and Isshin as Isshin looks at all the photos of Little Ichigo and Masaki.
Happy New Year! Apologies if you’ve talked about this already but what are your thoughts about the anime trailer? And what is your wishlist for the anime?
I probably gushed about it on Twitter and reblogged a bunch of gifsets, but I am not sure I have talked about it coherently on here.
I thought the trailer was awesome and a very good first trailer! With the cool remix of Number One, and the way it opens with Ichigo calmly strolling up to a bunch of hollering Hollows, his big-ass sword slung over one shoulder, I felt like it just perfectly hit that chord of "Hey, remember the way the first time you watched Bleach? Yeah, it's kind of dated now, but remember the way it blew you away? Well, hold on to your butts." If I hadn't already come back to the fandom, it would have grabbed me by the shirt and headbutted me. The animation is gorgeous and it showed my two faves in their most badass moments, back-to-back in the same dramatic color palette. I expect there to be a second trailer, maybe in the spring, that might show a little more of what the story is gonna be about, but as far as getting people who may have forgotten how much they love Bleach to sit up and pay attention, I think it was great.
I am honestly a simple woman, I just really love Bleach, and I am very forgiving of its flaws. I do not think that the TYBW arc was a masterpiece by any means, but I do hope that they stick as close to the manga as possible, with some fleshing out of the fights and maybe some addition character moments. (Give us more of Senjumaru, you cowards!!) The original anime had a bad habit of changing random things for no reason, often ruining the pacing of an arc, or just being weird, and I hope they just don't. Anyway, here are some things I am hoping for:
Bleach has always set the bar for OPs and I am looking forward to an absolute bop. Stretch wish: Let the OP feature one of those classic flash-thrus of every captain posing with their lieutenants, we never got a single scene of Rukia and Ukitake doing Captain Shit together, the least they can do is throw us a dramatic power pose.
The OST in the classic anime kept the old bangers while adding in a new motif as new settings and villains were introduced, and I hope that gets retained. Please, please, please let me hear Precipice of Defeat in the year 2022. If they play Reminiscence while Byakuya tells As Nodt “It is not I who will defeat you”, I will probably burst into tears.
Shinigami's Cup, please please please. I would also like roughly 4 filler episodes. Not, like, Bount filler, but the High Quality filler like the Lamp Society episode or the Maid Cop movie. What I really, really want is a third New Year's episode in the same A-side lieutenant wacky hijinks/B-side sweet Renruki story format to round out the trio.
To be honest, the one part I am extremely worried about them messing up is the part where Rukia confronts her fears while fighting As Nodt. I actually rather like the way the manga never shows what her greatest fear is, but subtlety hints that it's Renji-related (he isn't shown among her lesser fears, the fact that the title of issue 566. What is your fear? is placed on the same page as Rukia warning Renji to play it safe and hide between battles). It would aslo be fine if the anime wants to make this more explicit, but I will flip a table if they ruin this for me.
At one point, I was convinced they would never include the dick-rope scene + sensual sweating, but... maybe??? After this summer’s one-shot was catered so specifically to my interests, I feel like there’s actually a possibiity!
The Kenpachi - Unohana fight better fuck.
I am also really looking forward to the part with Yachiru's shikai and I hope it is more than 3 seconds long
There are so many fights in the TYBW and so many of them are boring, I hope they deal with this somehow, I really do not want this to be another Fake Karakura Town arc. At least in this case, they aren't stalling for the manga to catch up, so I don't anticipate them repeating so much between consecutive episodes, at least.
We deserve to see Byakuya's caboose in the Royal Realm. I am not even into this man, I just think this shot should be full length, to, you know, emphasize how Serious this arc is.

I feel like Rukia's life was much more interesting in your verse?
...you know, not really? The beats are all still there- died and got reincarnated as a toddler, sister left her at an orphanage because a tween cannot reasonably take care of a child, grew up in a pack of feral children and childhood sweetheart, got into shinigami school on scholarship with said childhood sweetheart, got adopted by her now-dead sister's widower with terrible communication skills, had some serious on the job trauma when her mentors got eaten in front of her, got promoted to lieutenant, got posted to karkura, got a McGuffin shoved into her soul by a mad scientist in exile, got sentenced to death as part of a different mad scientist's gamble to steal the McGuffin and kill god, you know how it is.
If anything is different it's that the general premise of the fic, such as it is, is "OK, if this character is as Kubo claims they are, how functional as a person do they actually need to be? And where would they actually fall apart?"
Rukia is, per canon, a Lieutenant. She got a little fast-tracked into the position by Byakuya, but she did EARN her rank as second-in-command to a division, and in Ukitake's case, she's first-and-a-half in command given how often he has to hand the conn to someone else. If Rukia was bad at her job, she wouldn't be a lieutenant. Seated officer to appease the Kuchiki house maybe, but not second-in-command.
Hence, I write Rukia as someone who's got the backbone to tell other people what to do in stressful situations (including her Dingbat Adopted Brother), who knows the rules and regulations and procedures of her job, like "Yeah, you literally cannot get sentenced to death over a misdemeanor we have MANY laws about 'no excessive punishments", and who will have some FUCKING WORDS to say to urahara about the whole McGuffin thing.
...The premise of "How Functional/Dysfunctional does this person actually have to be in order to have gotten to and stayed in their position?" has lead to some characters being Revamped, and others staying nearly identical. Shunsui is almost unchanged, Kenpachi has developed like nine new dimensions and all the scientists got WORSE :)

Residents of Syria’s Douma breathe fresh air after weeks in hiding
After two months of hiding underground in Syria’s Douma, Leena Karkura has finally dared to venture out into the sunshine and walk around her devastated hometown with her daughter.
Syria’s army announced on Saturday it had retaken the town and surrounding region of Eastern Ghouta from rebels after a Russia-backed military offensive that lasted almost two months.
“I decided to take my daughter out…

I really didn't have a problem with Ichigo vs Aizen fight and returning his powers sooner kinda feels like an emotional cop out.
The Fullbring arc was really short and could have gone into more about the Fullbringers. Give us a little more of Chad's backstory and more one on one time with Ichigo and him.
Maybe have Tsukishima approach Tatsuki and Karin over gaining power of their own but they declined becasue Kisuke been training them. So Karin's line about Protecting Ichigo is not a throw way line.
Keigo and Mizuru end uo joing him because their tired of being rescued or protected.
Play up the mystery of who attacked Uryu more by making both groups look more shady and telling conflicting stories.
Show us more of Ichigo's depression and Isolation by having all his friends blow him off to go train and show more of his denial over being normal.
Have Yuzu and Ichigo start spending more one on one time which leads to the Hollow attacking Yuzu and Ichigo injured. This being the final point where Ichigo gives in and Joins Xcuxtion. Yuzu fed up with being helpless herself tries to get Kisuke to train her but he denies because of her lack of spiritual power. So she Joins Keigo and Mizuru.
The final still plays out the same with Tsukishima chaning everyones past but he actually cuts Ichigo too altering his past. Tsukishima gains adavnce fullbring so he doesnt have to keep cutting people to alter things. He turns everyone back to normal having except Ichigo whos already in emotional panic think his friends are the enemy.
Tsukishima does this so many times in middle of Various fights to confused the Karkura Gang. Their doing this at this point to test out their new power. It gets to the point wherr Uryu and Ichigo are the last ones standing of the Karkura gang. Uryu injured and Ichigo at his breaking point.
He doesnt know whats real or fake anymore all he knows that Ginjo may have stole his powers or maybe it was someone else.
Then he gets stabbed with Reishi sword. Everything plays the same way with xcution vs rukia and company. With the death of Ginjo, Tsukishima and Giriko some of his fullbring returns evolves his power again. (I personally headcanon that his move set is like the BBS bonds version of Ichigo.)
Since Keigo, Mizuru, Tatsuki and the twins gained some abilities. Willingly give some of his power to boost theirs so they can train more with it and better defend themselves in the future.
-
I do agree that they should have showed more of his new combined power.
As much as I hate power theft trope. I would like to subvert by yes Ywhach takes Ichigo's powers but beacuse Ichigo's whole thing has been shattering the milestone of fate and defineing expectations. Let Ichigo get his powers back, maybe we have a flashback and we see how old man Zangetsu was created out of Masaki's desire to protect Ichigo which took the form has a lanker version of Yhwach because of famile connection. We see both the Instinct speech, Zangetsu speech about hesitation and Isshin talking about Masaki's sacrifice for him be said in the background. Ichigo calls out their names, regaining his power becasue Ywhach cannot take away his bond with his mother or anyone else. Who selflessly gave her life for Ichigo as a contrast to Ywhach selfishness.
The manifestation of white and old man burst out of Yhwach soul king in tow where Orihime begins to heal him.
The Zangetsus return to Ichigo and his sword returns back to the dual blades. With his resolved along with his powers Ichigo calls out bankai once again.
Instead of seeing the chimera form we see the bbs new years version of Ichigo. Revealing the Chimera form is a resurrection form. He now weilds dual Tensa Zangetsu's his orginal is now quincy tensa Zangetsu is silver and blue while we get the second version which is now Hollow Tensa Zangetsu with them both being connected by a single chain. Thsn Ichigo proceeds to curb stomp Ywhach.
I've been thinking about this alot lately.
Derks’ 4 Bleach Tweaks
Tumblr media
#1  Kyōka Suigetsu
The arcs after Soul Society seem to lose quality while having hype moments but one of the more annoying aspects is the finale of Ichigo vs Aizen.
Ichigo’s godmode feels like an asspull but the real annoyance is Aizen never using his Bankai or even his invincible Shikai in the conflict.
The fix is simple, have the Hogyoku desolve it earlier. We already saw his sword fade away during his defeat but move this moment up further. Make it a point that Aizen is right, the hogyoku that he’s merged too has dictated he no longer needs the blade.
He’s evolving into something else, something new. The abilities of Kyoka Suigetsu are moot at this stage. This makes his defeat easier to swallow as the OP ability that could’ve won him the battle is gone before he battles Ichigo at all.
Tumblr media
#2 Fullbringer Arc
While I believe this arc had potential and introduced an interesting power, I also disliked it in execution like many fans.
Kubo said this arc was meant to be a type of soft reboot for Ichigo but his powers really didn’t change much and if the point was to give Ichigo his powers back that could’ve been turned into a scene post Aizen’s defeat. Speaking of which-
Tumblr media
#3 Just give his powers back sooner
This would bypass the Fullbring arc entirely. Instead of Rukia saying goodbye, have the scenes after he wakes up powerless be the moment they’re given back.
Ichigo was in a coma for weeks, after some fakeout just have Urahara explain he spent those weeks working to restore Ichigo to normal. Throw in Rukia and the other Shinigami and you got a decent alternative ending to Aizen’s defeat.
If Ichgo merely exhausted his Reiatsu, the solution is as simple as getting contributions of it from his allies. Between his human friends, shinigami friends, and his family you’d get a little power from all the main races easily restoring his unique power.
Think of the touching scene and spirit sword as everyone giving Ichigo a jump start. They give him a bit of power so he can produce his own once again.
Tumblr media
#4 Remove the power theft scene
The final arc had lots of problems but this was my biggest pet peeve. Just remove it entirely. If anything, tweak the final battle so that it’s not just Ichigo getting beat down.
Let Ichigo showcase his new powers to us before the battle shifts to the Sereitei in which many allies join in. Just dont kill the “true zangetsu” hype with this bullshit of it being broken or his powers being stolen.

For An Elephant is Warm and Mushy, what's the deal with Ichigo and Isshin? Cause I hate Isshin, but I want to know what your take is on it. (Sorry if you've already addressed this.)
I think my thoughts on Isshin in AEIWAM are best summed up as such:
Tumblr media
To elaborate: I think that, if he had been a father under normal circumstances, Isshin would have been a perfectly competent and even a good father.
...But he's not parenting under Normal Circumstances.
He's parenting as widower (alone) with three psychic (no how-to guides on this!) and traumatized (Especially Ichigo) children, while processing his own trauma (Again, Widower), while in a HIGHLY demanding and stressful career (Emergency care specialist/Surgeon), while technically on the run from the law (he's still wanted for being a deserter), while also in Apex Predator Central (Karkura is CHOCK A FUCKING BLOCK fulla hollows).
And BY GOD, the man is trying! AEIWAM! Isshin does his best to keep his children informed of the dangers of their world while not also risking them breaking his witness protection scheme. He works extremely hard and his best to keep them fed, housed, safe, educated and loved, and he LOVES them SO MUCH. Isshin is NEVER shy always genuine with affection towards his children! Hell, he even reaches out to who he can (Urahara, Ryukken, his neighbors, the kid's teachers) for help because he knows he's in over his head and needs help and that's a hard damn thing for a parent to do, but...
...It's not enough.
He still lies to his children. For perfectly sane and understandable reasons, but he still lies to them. He still doesn't understand his children- He gives them all the love he can, as best he knows how, but Ichigo especially speaks an entirely different love language. He's still not there for his children. Balancing three kids is ROUGH when you're a single parent and I'm afraid Isshin has some old-fashioned notions about gender that cause him to prioritize the twins over Ichigo. And worse, he's not there when Ichigo, and later the twins, start being in mortal danger from the fallout of his connection to Soul Society.
He grit his teeth and moved heaven and earth to rise to the occasion and still managed to fall well short of it.
A+ for Effort
D- for The Actual Results
So. Why DOES Isshin keep failing at healthy communication? Why DOES he make bizarre choices? Why DOES he suck at being a father?
As I was writing I realized the answer is that he was in the right time and place to accidentally learn some VERY bad habits from his friends and colleagues during his heavy involvement in the Soi Fon-Yoruichi Debacle.
This is already a very long post, so the explanation is under the cut:
To be clear: It's not their fault.
It's one of those awful "Its nobody's fault specifically, but the way human minds work means that this sort of conflict and bad behavior was inevitable" situations. The tragedy of being discrete beings.
The crux of Soi Fon and Yoruichi's relationship was that two people who had previously only moderate issues met another person whose own issues massively exacerbated their own in a continuously escalating cycle.
AEIWAM! Soi Fon is the SOLE surviving child of the Fon Clan. He five older brothers were all killed in service to the second division and the Shihon clan. Possibly under Yoruichi's direction, if I understand the timelines right. She was also raised from a very young age to ignore her own needs as a person, use violence as a Solution to her problems, largely starved of affection, and to hero-worship Yoruichi. Girl was already messed up when she walked into the Second division.
AEIWAM! Yoruichi is ALSO a sole surviving clan heir (Yushiro is conceived as a direct result to her vanishing in TBTP) and ALSO taught to use violence as a first solution, but instead of a self-sacrificing mindset, Yoruichi was raised to believe that other people sacrificing themselves for her was normal, good and even virtuous on their part. She was also sort of doted on by her parents, who were thrilled that their last-chance heir was shaping up so well (So far as they knew).
You can see how this was always going to go badly.
Soi fon is desperate to please. Yoruichi thinks this is perfectly normal and desirable behavior, and so she rewards it with copious affection, because Soi Fon responds to that well. Soi fon, receiving her first hit of positive reinforcement in her whole life, promptly falls head over heels for Yoruichi, and works even harder for her. Yoruichi, thrilled to have someone so capable, continues to reward this behavior. The cycle continues, and escalates.
Eventually, the two of them are operating in completely different worlds. So far as Soi Fon can tell, She and Yoruichi are in a Grand Romance, like a knight and her princess in the fairytale stories she used to comfort herself with as a little girl. She assumes this is a normal relationship between lieutenant and captain. So far as Yoruichi can tell, She and Soi Fon are in a Perfectly Normal And Platonic Working Relationship, because this is how every 2nd Division Lieutenant has fawned over their Shihon captain since the division's inception, and she assumes this is perfectly normal.
At some point, Soi Fon realizes that their relationship is really one-sided and she's giving 110% for maybe 4% on Yoruichi's behalf, but she's invested so much and every authority figure in her life is telling her that this is Right and Correct, that she actively chooses the fantasy over reality to cope with her circumstances. At some point, Yoruichi realizes that she's wildly taking advantage of Soi Fon's romantic feelings that she... well. She likes the girl well enough, but not romantically. But She relies so much on Soi Fon to run the 2nd Division and every authority figure in her life is telling her that this is Right and Correct that she actively chooses to play into Soi Fon's fantasy to preserve this very beneficial (for her) status Quo.
...Enter Kisuke Urahara.
Urahara has no horse in this particular race- in fact, he doesn't even know there's a race going on. He's deeply enamored of this ABSOLUTE BABE that's into his schlubby little ass, who's cool and funny and involved in the same insane workplace he is, and when Yoruichi sometimes complains to him about how crazy her lieutenant is, his only frame of reference is... Mayuri. He thinks this is normal, and the romantic relationship between him and Yoruichi continues to grow. She's his unexpected 11 out of 10, he's her fun dirty little secret. It's kinda tawdry, but it is honest.
Then TBTP happens. Kisuke and Yoruichi sorta accidentally frame themselves for treason, then someone (Aizen) very on purpose frames them for treason.
And so far as Soi Fon knows, the woman she loved, the woman she devoted her life to, the woman who (allegedly) loved her back- has lied to and discarded her.
It hurts. It hurts A Lot.
...Enter Isshin Shiba.
In AEIWAM, Isshin becomes a captain the same week TBTP happens, though he's on the other side of the rukongai when that shit goes down, so he shows up to his first captain's meeting with more than half the captains being brand new to their jobs, not totally sure what he or anyone else is doing-
-And there's Soi Fon. Alone and Miserable.
Isshin is an older brother to a younger sister (who never gets a name in canon) and an uncle to her three children, but they all live way out in the middle of nowhere so he hardly ever sees them and seeing Soi Fon at the meeting, exhausted and distraught (And maybe a little bit hungover) activates every single Big Brother And Uncle instinct he's been looking to inflict on someone.
It's VERY easy for him to hear Soi Fon's side of the story, conveniently ignore the part where she actively chose to believe in a romantic relationship she knew didn't actually exist, and cast Yoruichi as The Bad Guy Who Took Advantage Of My Poor Substitute Little Sister.
Soi Fon, who had *almost* been on the verge of being realistic about the breakup, leans into his version of the story, because, again, she's massively starved for affection and Isshin is giving her the type of love her now-dead brothers used to. So Isshin learns Bad Gender Habits here, and Bad Listening Habits, and Bad "Casting People Into Roles Instead Of Treating Them Like People" Habits, and gets rewarded for them with Soi Fon's attention and sisterly affection.
This is also probably where his decision-making skills start to decline- Soi Fon is a Trusted Colleague of his, and he goes to her for advice on Tricky Political Things, because that's what 2nd division DOES. Unfortunately, Soi Fon lives in Information Opsec Paranoia Spy Shit Hell, and gives her advice out accordingly. He starts favoring not giving out details unless he thinks it's REALLY necessary, and using bad-faith decision making. Even More unfortunately, the Gotei-13 is a hot mess of an organization and these habits serve him well.
...Enter Masaki Ishida, and shortly thereafter, Exit Isshin Shiba until he appears in the Human world as Dr. Isshin Kurosaki, and his wife, Masaki Kurosaki.
It's during the "I met a woman who is *technically* an enemy of the state, but she was so cool I fell so hard in love I decided to do a desertion and light treason" mess, Isshin becomes properly acquainted with Urahara and Yoruichi, and eventually, he hears Yoruichi's side of the story. He reverses course, now Soi Fon is the Crazy Ex, and Yoruichi was just doing what was necessary to survive in their demented military-industrial-spy-governement workplace.
Yoruichi doubles down on his "Shut the FUCK up or Yamamoto or worse is gonna come and kill us, and everyone we love" paranoia, because she's also on the run, and when he comes to her for advice on "So apparently the hollows are WAY stronger than I thought, they KILLED MY WIFE, how am I supposed to keep my kids safe?" She advocates teaching them how to recognize and hide from hollows rather than proper self-defense or the truth, because her first fear still is retribution from Soul Society. It's not insane of her- Yamamoto has a very literally fiery temper and can hold grudges for millennia.
So Isshin Tries. But he's also very burdened by paranoid neurotic behavior he doesn't even know he has, and dodgy-if-not-totally-insane advice from his friends.
And that's what I think of Isshin Kurosaki :)

in that map you drew of the seireitei districts; is there any link between the geography of the real world and the spirit world(or worlds)?
In regards to this map, Which is specific to AEIWAM:
Tumblr media
This is the map that's hanging up in classrooms at Shinigami Academy when Ichigo breaks into Soul Society to save Rukia, in which the Seireitei is in the middle and the districts are color-coded with #s 1-79 of each marked as "Full" districts where the Soul Society Governs and collects taxes and the Large, undefined 80th districts where the Soul Society does not govern or collects taxes but they needed to call those regions SOMETHING.
The Map changes SIGNIFICANTLY in the following 5 years as Soul Society finally starts acting like a real nation with Borders instead of acting like it's still the Tokugawa Era.
As far as this correlates to Geography in the Living World however...
Watsonian Answer:
...Only sort of.
See, the Life Machine that generates reality only one of MANY Life Machines, who are all connected but disparate, like polyps that make up a coral. If that coral were some kind of Poly-dimensional Godhead. So the Living World is the four-dimensional expression of the surface of the calcium superstructure between the individual Polyps (which is also a skeleton they all share), and the Spirit World and Hell are the interior of the individual polyps. Maintaining the balance of souls between the living and spirit worlds is really the life machine maintaining it's homeostasis with the colony.
So while a soul can wander all over the living world, once it dies, it gets sucked into the Polyp it's closest to. But not "Closest" in a prototypically geographical sense, but "Closest" in the complex geographical way a multidimensional entity defines itself. Now, these fucking 12-and-14 dimensional barriers between God-Polyps *BROADLY* correlate to our four-dimensional reality, but not totally, so the afterlife of Soul Society is Sort-of geographically connected to "About 12% of central Japan (centered on one city), part of the Black Forest in Germany and an exceptionally deserted section of the Chihuahuan Desert".
Since souls can wander extensively (Not just geographically- emotionally, spiritually, inwardly, outwardly, memetically, culturally, ethically, methodologically, climatically, and just Generally Weirdly) in the living world though, people do not necessarily go to the afterlife of the life machine they were spawned in, let alone the one they expected to go to. In fact, the barriers beteween the dominions of different life machines are so inscrutable to humans that a pair of identical twins can be born, raised in the same house, take over that house from their parents, and spend every waking moment of their lives together and end up in completely different afterlives mostly, but not entirely because one of them had an allergy to celery and the other didn't.
So, *Most* of the people who die in Karkura town go to Soul Society for their afterlife, but not all of them. The Shinigami never notice the people who don't- their souls are immune to hollowfication because they're governed by a different God machine, and they just vanish off into their different afterlife the way ghosts normally go to soul society, and with roughly half of all souls totally forgetting thier previous lives and most missing at least some, or eager to change identities, it's pretty much impossible to track souls from one world to the next unless something WEIRD happens (spoiler: weird things happen).
Hence, Soul Society's total population is approximately five million human souls, and collectively about as many Non-human souls between the Hollows, Beastfolk, and other miscellaneous spirts, which is about the population of souls in both categories in the slices of geography it governs in the living world.
In terms of scale, the circle that makes up the Soul Society (Seireitei + Rukongai) is about 700 miles in Diameter- the Soul Society's borders end where they can no longer reliably get an army of normal humans that has to travel from the Seireitei without portals in under a month (about 11 miles per day, rounded up a bit because they'll haul ass in an emergency), because collecting taxes from farther than that is a PAIN IN THE ASS.
Doylist answer:
The Soul Society is a map of Alaska turned sideways and with a few rivers added in, and it's population is the same as Colorado's because that's easy for me to imagine.

Currently I'm trying to write a few one shots about the Vizards helping Ichigo explore his new instincts and needs.
And a mini crack series with a deaged Ichigo. With the soul society the shoten gang and the karkura gang confused as hell as the Vizards have a pissing match with the arrancars because finders keepers with little Ichigo.
I've seen this one floating around but what to know your take on it. The Inner Hollows make the Visoreds to be a new species which casue a slight biological and mental shift such as needing to eat and sleep more and having pack dynamics. Especially beeing a bit territorial and prorective of eachother, things, people they care about and especially with Ichigo sense he's the youngest.
That’s a very interesting theory. I’ve always considered the Visoreds to be different than Siul Reapers since they possess hollow powers. I would honestly want to know more about this theory because it makes sense. The Inner Hollows could very well alter the Visoreds genetics as well as their personalities because (in my opinion) it seems that each hollow has a different personality (since they were all human once). Ihope someone digs further into this.

If you are still taking questions, could I ask about Uryuu? Or Mizuiro, I have always loved him and wanted to see more of him.
The day after The Stabbing Incident in which Ichigo's Shinigami Powers were activated, Lunchtime:
--
"Rukia!" Ichigo called from the door. "We got a club meeting!"
"What? Oh, right!" She giggled, all bubbly persona, which immediately vanished in the hall "-You signed me up for a club? Ichigo, you know I don't have time for extracurriculars!"
"Calm down, this one doesn't assign homework. We just meet on the roof for lunch." He explained, marching resolutely against the stream of traffic in the hall.
"Oh? Up to something illicit are you?" Rukia teased, ducking behind him to avoid being swept away.
"Nah, we just meet on the roof so Kon can join us." Ichigo shrugged kicking open the door to the roof.
" 'SUP NERDS!" Ichigo bellowed affectionately at the gaggle of teenagers already assembled on the roof. "Okay Rukia, this is the "I Can See Ghosts And It fucking Sucks Club", guys, this is Rukia."
"Hi miss Rukia!" Waved a readheaded girt that puberty had hit like a truck.
"-Rukia is a shinigami like the freak that used to live in my dad's attic, and last night one of those bigass monster ghosts attacked my fuckin' house and Rukia kinda accidentally-on-purpose stabbed me and now I got fuckin' shinigami powers, which is mostly being able to ditch my body and summon a bigass sword to kill the monster ghosts with."
Those assembled stared at him in silence.
There was a rattle and Kon appeared at the top of the chain-link fence around the roof. "You know Ichigo, I think I know why your Literature class grades suck." the cat sighed. "Rukia got injured and used her magic sword to transfer her powers to Ichigo to fight off the hollow, and accidentally gave him too much and now she's stuck here until the Shinigami skills bleed back out of Ichigo."
"Ohhhhh..." the group nodded.
"-By stabbing me." Added Ichigo. "I feel like the stabbing part is being lowballed here."
"Welp. time to reset the counter." Sighed a lightly disheveled young man with brown hair, and the youthful looking lad with black hair beside him opened his laptop, typed for a few seconds and then turned the screen to show the group a digital counter that read
DAYS SINCE OUR LAST SUPERNATURAL NONSENSE AND/OR GRIEVOUS BODILY INJURY: 0
Previous streak: 17.324 Days.
"Thanks. Very helpful." Sighed Ichigo. "Tweedle Dee and tweedle Dumbass here are Mizurio and Keigo."
Ichigo pointed to the brunette. "Keigo here comes from a long-ass line of psychics and has been documenting every instance of supernatural activity in Karkura town going back to the middle ages since he was like. Ten? Don't let the fact that he's deliberately failing out of school fool you, he's probably the world's most brilliant moron."
"Iiiiiichigoooo, why you gotta make me sound like a loser in front of the actual-factual ghost girl?" Keigo whined.
"I'll stop making you sound like a loser when you stop being a loser." Ichigo huffed, and pointed to the black-haired youth beside him. "Babyface McGee here is Mizurio, he's our other technology geek, and he can cast Summon Gun."
"Pleasure to meet you Miss Rukia!" Mizurio said, extending his hand politely. "If you need some armament against the- what did you say they were called? Hollows? - I can provide you with something. First one's on the house, as my Uncle says."
"Oh!" Laughed Rukia. "By 'summon gun' you mean you have a way of purchasing weapons! I thought for a second you had the magical ability to spontaneously manifest guns or something ridiculous like that!"
The group collectively grimaced at her, except for the silent Giant, who was too busy snuggling Kon.
"Have you ever fired a weapon like a handgun Miss Rukia?" Mizurio asked holding his hand up beside his head, as though holding up an invisible object.
"Uh." Said Rukia, staring at his hand. ""...No."
"In that case I'm going to reccomend a Glock-17 lightweight pistol-" Mizurio nodded, and a small, bright blue light ignited in his palm, swirling and drawing Reishi into it, forming a physical object.
"-it's very reliable and easy to sight accurately, and doesn't have much of a kickback so I'm confident you'll only need a little practice to be able to handle it reliably!" He smiled cheerfully as the object finished manifesting in his hand, and he easily unloaded it with a practiced motion, set the saftey out of habit and offered it to Rukia to inspect.
"UH." Said Rukia, recoiling from the weapon with alarm.
"Oh don't worry!" Mizurio chirped. "Any gun that I make- And I make them, not summon them- has infinite ammo once the clip is loaded, and it's perfectly effective against hollows! You'll be perfectly fine using it!"
"I- You- I mean-" Rukia sputtered, staring wide-eyed at the gun. "-Did you. Learn? to do this?"
"Hm-..." Mizurio frowned at the gun. "Well, I've gotten better at it over time, but it's not like anyone taught me, if that's what you mean."
"Uh-huh." Rukia nodded, teeth bared in an attempt at a smile that completely failed. "You. Uh. You got any German ancestry?"
"Oh, I wouldn't know!" Mizurio laughed. "I don't actually know who my father is, and I strongly suspect he doesn't know his father either! Why?"
"...Mizurio, I think you're a Quincy."
---
Downstairs in the lunchtime meeting of the Karkura High School Crafts Club, Uryuu Ishida sneezed in the middle of a demonstration of different stitch types, and knocked over a large bottle of glitter, coating the entire room.
"...That's a bad omen if I ever saw one." Muttered one of the girls, sparkling.
---
"What's a Quincy?" Mizurio asked.
"It's a- Okay, before I start an explanation, is there anyone else here with weird supernatural powers?" Rukia asked.
There was a whirl of energy behind her and she turned to see the Silent Giant that had been cradling Kon had manifested a strange, sleek armor over his right arm. Kon was still cradled like a very spoiled infant in his left arm, purring.
"Hi. I'm Sado Yasutora, but I go by Chad." he spoke, voice barely above a mumble as he cautiously peeked up at Rukia through his bangs. "This is my punchin' arm."
"...Great." Whimpered Rukia.
