In June 2023, we organized a fundraising event to support the spaying of stray Puspins in Quezon Province through our program Sponsor a Kapon and Save Puspin Lives. One of the cats we helped was Hiraya (Cita), and after her spaying, we made it our mission to find her a FurEver Home.

Several years later, we received heartwarming news from her Fur Parent, Mam Arianne. We are beyond grateful and happy to know that the cat who once roamed the streets is now living a life filled with love and care🥰 A big THANK YOU to Mam Arianne for showering Hiraya with so much love 💚

We have no control over the existing laws regarding the capture of community/stray animals by the LGU. However, sending them to a pound is not the solution to the increasing number of strays. One of the most effective ways to address this issue is through spaying and neutering.

Spaying and neutering offer many benefits, including ensuring a healthier life for your pets!

MONTEVIDEO DOGS

Why is Cats of Quezon Province posting dogs now?

Cats of Quezon Province was created by Sir Ken and Sir Jeric out of their love for cats, aiming to raise awareness about the importance of spaying and neutering, encourage compassion for community cats, and help find responsible fur parents and forever homes for them.

However, last year, four dogs unexpectedly came into their lives, and they couldn’t imagine not helping them. After months of trying to find them a forever home without success, they decided to rescue these dogs.

And instead of changing our name, we chose to keep "Cats of Quezon Province" while also extending our efforts to help community Aspins live better lives.

As of today, we are working to provide the Montevideo Dogs, Webber, Bella, Enver and Lily with much better lives while also helping other community dogs find their forever homes.

Currently, these are the three of the Montevideo Dogs, Enver, Lily, and Bella 💛 Bella now lives safely in Laguna with Webber under the care of Sir Ken’s younger brother in their forever home.

Meanwhile, Lily is currently pregnant possibly with Enver’s puppies and is undergoing medical treatment for a skin condition in Lucena City. Once she recovers and gives birth, she will join Bella and Webber in Laguna but before that both of her and Enver will also be scheduled for spaying and neutering 💚

SLOW DOWN FOR PAWS

Cats of Quezon Province either Sir Ken has no plans to run for any political position now or ever. This campaign tarpaulin is being placed in as many public areas as possible to raise awareness, not just on social media but also on public roads about driving safety, not only for safety of other humans but also for community animals (cats and dogs).

Because every time Sir Ken steps outside his apartment and witnesses poor cats and dogs falling victim to reckless driving, it deeply affects his mental health.

He is doing his best to raise awareness about animal compassion, so please support him in this campaign if you can.

GOODBYE ANNE [December 13, 2023 - January 14, 2025]

It is with profound sorrow and a heavy heart that we share the heartbreaking news that Anne has passed away, just a month after we found her near at St. Anne Hospital. The likely reason for her passing was being far too young to be separated from her mother.

We also want to take this moment to urge everyone that if you have a pet cat, please have them SPAYED OR NEUTERED if you cannot commit to caring for their kittens and if there’s a stray cat who has given birth in your area, PLEASE WE BEG YOU, do not abandon or separate the kittens from their mother. These little ones are so vulnerable, especially if they’re under three months old and they cannot survive without her 💚

Finally! It's Wonderful to See You Again, Sun and Moon ☀️🌙

Back in September 2022, during the Kapon Event of CoQP and through its "Sponsor a Kapon and Save Puspin Lives" program, Sun (with lighter tricolor fur) and Moon (with darker tricolor shades) became two of the community cats from Quezon Province who benefited from free neutering services.

Now, several years later, we are delighted to share that we had the chance to visit Sun and Moon once again at the food park across Perez Park in Lucena City. We are overjoyed to see that they are thriving in a safe environment and living healthy lives💛

We kindly appeal to all fur parents, especially those who visit Perez Park and the food park, to please treat Sun and Moon with kindness and care. If you happen to see them, we humbly request that you avoid causing them any harm. Should you be able to spare some food, please consider sharing it with them.

UPDATE ON PANOT

Panot is one of the Montevideo Dogs under the care of Sir Ken. As promised during the fundraising event from October 2024 to December 2024, even though Panot has not yet received direct benefits from the funds raised, we are pleased to announce that he will begin his medical treatment this year, 2025 💚

Currently, the foul odor that Panot had is gone, and next, we will bathe him using shampoos that we hope will help with his skin and coat. We will also take him to the vet clinic, and most importantly, he will undergo circumcision 💛
