Headcanon that after the Kamomedai match after everyone went back to their rooms Kageyama waited for the rest of the team to fall asleep before he quietly slipped out and went to find Hinata. He silently walked in, told Hinata to shut up when he stared at him half-asleep, half-delirious from his fever, and fully surprised, and silently slipped into his futon with him. Hinata, freezing although he was burning up, immediately rolled over and clung to him, and Kageyama held him tightly while he began running his fingers through his sweat-dampened hair. Neither of them said anything. After a few minutes Hinata mumbled a very soft, very satisfied, “Goodnight, Kageyama.” And Kageyama affectionately said, “Goodnight, dumbass.”

The next morning he slipped out just as silently after detangling themselves from one another, gave a very brief kiss to the top of Hinata’s head, and went back to the team’s room with his face as warm as Hinata’s body. They never brought it up. They never spoke about it. On the way home the next day they sat by one another on the bus and Hinata leaned his head on Kageyama’s shoulder, and Kageyama laced their fingers together. They both fell asleep basking in the warmth and comfort of each other ignoring their surroundings. At some point during the ride Suga looked back to check on Hinata and after noticing their positioning he turned back with a small smile on his face.

The amount of teeny tiny little hints to Hinata’s final breakdown throughout season 4 and even in the Nekoma movie is insane to me.

They keep talking about how the energetic bunch finally wore down and were “more tired than they realised” and I think towards the end of the movie there’s something about Hinata still being super energetic and hyped up (cue me in my seat in the theatre repeatedly saying “go to sleep go to sleep go to sleep” knowing what was gonna happen XD).

Also the part where Kenma, after all the hype and energy post match, declares “I bet I’ll get a fever after this”. Like AHHH.

And throughout the fourth season, there’s these mentions of like “make sure you get rest so we don’t get sick” and “we should take care to not get hurt”.

Obviously everyone constantly hyped up Hinata’s stamina and I know in the Inarizaki match there’s a key sequence where Atsumu sympathises with how Kageyama is ultimately forced to keep up with Hinata bc he, as a spiker, is incredibly demanding unintentionally (which is also a result of having a genius setter as your first real setting partner).

Like every time some character mentions something it just reminds me of what’s gonna come!!

the dichotomy of hinata being so inspired by the little giant that he'll jump at any opportunity to be like him, while the little giant is simultaneously the catalyst for tsukki to spiral down a path of negativity that leads him to be completely disenchanted with volleyball

hinata being inspired by short players, while tsukki harbors subconscious resentment toward them

hinata (the sun) and tsukishima (the moon) both orbiting udai (the sky/cosmos) from opposing perspectives

i love how even though tsukishima told hinata that calling kageyama "king" was NOT a compliment and was in fact calling him selfish etc hinata sees literally THE goody two shoes setter of all time oikawa and is like... Hm.... The GREAT king..... like its a cool ass nickname but if oikawa wasnt the nickname guy i feel like hed be pissed about it

i finally watched the hq!! movie

it was a lot of fun :)
