Shadowverse, primo spot e nuovi dettagli sulla serie animata

L’anime del popolare trading card game andrà in onda in Giappone dalla prossima primavera.

Diffuso un primo breve video promozionale per la serie animata “Shadowverse”, che ne annuncia il mese di debutto: aprile 2020. Come già suggerito dalla locandina pubblicata ad ottobre, l’anime non si ispirerà alla storia in-game narrata nell’omonimo videogioco, ma seguirà invece le gesta inedite di un giovane giocatore.

L’anime è diretto da Keiichiro Kawaguchi (Jinsei, Frame Arms Girl) presso lo studio ZEXCS (Asagao to Kase-san, The Great Passage). La sceneggiatura è curata da Rintaro Isaki e Deko Akao (Frame Arms Girl, Amanchu!, Noragami), mentre il character design originale di Ponzu e Soji Hisakata è adattato per le animazioni da Hiroki Harada (Akanesasu Shoujo, Romeo x Juliet). Le musiche sono ad opera di Yoshihiro Ike (Dororo, Shingeki no Bahamut: Virgin Soul) .

Card Battles Come to Life in Shadowverse TV Anime Teaser Trailer

  A new teaser trailer and the main cast have been revealed for Shadowverse, an upcoming TV anime based on the popular digital collectible card game of the same name by Cygames. The main cast for the Shadowverse TV anime includes:

    Gakuto Kajiwara as Hiiro Ryuugasaki, an enthusiastic boy who loves Shadowverse.

    Junya Enoki as Lucia Yonazuki, a student of Obsidian Academy who overwhelms his opponents in Shadowverse.

    Kaede Hondo as Mimori Amamiya, Hiiro's classmate who prides herself on being normal and who dislikes scary, supernatural things.

    Hayato Taya as Kazuki Shindou, Hiiro's classmate who is good at sports but bad at Shadowverse.

    Atsumi Tanezaki as Kai Ijuuin, an eccentric, self-proclaimed genius Shadowverse player.

    Yui Ogura as Alice Kurobane, a super-famous idol who secretly loves scary, supernatural things.

    And Yūichi Iguchi as Maura Abelardo, a mysterious boy who likes to toy with his opponents in Shadowverse.

    The story of Shadowverse follows Hiiro Ryuugasaki, a boy who attends Tensei Academy. One day through random circumstance, Hiiro acquires a smart phone with the popular Shadowverse game installed on it. By challenging rivals, meeting new friends, and competing in tournaments through Shadowverse, Hiiro gains valuable life experience and "evolves".

    The Shadowverse TV anime is directed by Keiichiro Kawaguchi and features animation production by ZEXCS. The series will broadcast in Japan on the TV Tokyo network beginning in April of 2020.
