Mr. Hanes seemed to have appeared at the upperclassmen night class’s dorms almost instantly.  When he got there he saw Kacey floating around outside in the front of the dorm.

“Kacey. I need you to help me gather up all the students downstairs, I need your help with something.”

Kacey crossed her arms and raised her eyebrow. “Why should I help you?”

Mr. Hanes looked at her blankly. “Uh... because I’m your teacher...?”

“What do you need to tell us anyway? We have class in a few hours..”

He didn’t have time to keep chatting with her. “Please, just gather everyone. I will tell you all together.”

She grunted and left to gather everyone downstairs in the meeting area.

Meet Kacey Brannon, a night student for @simsxlife‘s Fortune Academy :D

Kacey is a genie outside of her lamp. Cursed to grant wishes to whoever freed her, Kacey had no other choice than to do just that. Except she was lucky. The first person to find her lamp was the last. Abigail Bersle. Abigail was an older woman in her sixties, but having noticed that Kacey was just a genie in her teens the woman wished to have her freed from the lamp. Kacey now lives with Abigail as her “legal guardian.” She will refer to the woman as mom if prompted but doesn’t consider her more than a woman helping her out.

Kacey was cursed due to the actions of her parents. She doesn’t know who they are or what they did (she only ever remembers being alone in that lamp) to get her there. Being in the lamp her entire life has made her incredibly grumpy. She doesn’t know how to interact with people “nicely.” She now has a whole bunch of time on her hands being free, so why not school? 

Kacey LOVES the outdoors and open spaces, simply because she’s missed out on so much of it being stuck in her lamp. Street art has captivated this genie, and she spends most of her time doing it. With her powers as a genie she can clean up quickly and escape quickly before anyone even knows she’s doing graffiti. 

Kacey cares little for school and is just doing it because Abigail enrolled her. The girl doesn’t study. It’s more of a journey to see what the world has to offer for her.

Mr. Hanes walked inside the dorms and saw everyone was already waiting for him in the meeting area. “Thank you all for gathering together. There is not much time for me to explain, so listen carefully… Two of the morning students have just been brutally murdered. The police officers aren’t as concerned as we are. I need all of you here to partner up with some of the morning students and stick together. If we all come together, we can beat the murderer. Any questions?”

Bianca was beginning to tremble. “Uh.. if they’re getting killed there.. why should we go? It’s so dangerous.. what if we get killed?!”

Candy pat Bianca on her back, slowly calming he down. “Bianca, we need to help those students. They aren’t gifted like us! What if we were in their shoes.. wouldn’t you want someone to help?”

Chip looked just as uncertain as Bianca. Rei didn’t seem to agree with the idea that much. “You want us to risk our lives to save some pathetic humans? Yeah, right. How do you know the killer’s not one of us?”

Everyone slowly turned to look at Rei except Tracy. “No way it could be one of us, Rei! We were all here since morning.”

Erica didn’t get along with anyone, but she was willing to make it work. “Whatever, I’ll help. Are you going to tell the underclassmen too, Mr. Hanes?”

Mr. Hanes shook his head. “Absolutely not. Not with Hero Hunter there. She will warn the senate and that’s the last thing we want. I will just tell them class has been cancelled until further notice. Now, let’s get a move on.”

Kacey arrived at the dorms when mostly everyone was already in their rooms, so she just headed over to her assigned room. When she got to her room, she realized that her room buddy hadn’t arrived yet. She set her things aside and took a moment to process everything that was happening.

“This is it! Everything is so...bland! Where’s all the jewels and the sparkles? Oh well... This will do for now I suppose.”

Mr. Hanes walked the class over to a separate room where they were going to observe the vampires.

“Tracy, I looked into your profile and noticed that you just recently transformed into a vampire, congratulations. Luckily for you there are two other vampires in your class that will help you learn what there is to know.. I’d like to begin by having Erica step up and demonstrate how you levitate whilst performing a ritual. Erica, please take over.”

���As I lay on to the platform, I always recite an ancient ritual that will help me heal any wounds. This ritual is great because it works both physically and mentally.” She recited the ancient ritual and all the other supernaturals were completely confused as to what she was saying. Kacey, being Erica’s dorm buddy, had already heard it and wasn’t surprised by it as much as she was the first time she heard it.

Kacey and Tracy were placed as partners along with Victoria, Ian, and Cruz. Kacey explained everything to the students and told them about her powers and Tracy’s powers. Needless to say, the morning student’s were confused.

Ian leaned forward and gave a smirk. “So, the plan is to stay here until what? We get killed? This is all so stupid...”

Victoria was smiling stupidly at Kacey. She wanted to get something from her, and Kacey knew it. “So, a genie! Gee if I had three wishes...” Before Victoria could say anything else Kacey interrupted.

“I don’t grant wishes anymore. Build a bridge  and get over it sweetie.”

Cruz was the most quiet one. He didn’t say anything until Tracy asked him what was on his mind. “My brother... I don’t like being away from him at times like these. How can we all act so calm when there’s a killer somewhere? It’s already starting to get dark outside...”

Tracy flexed his muscles, as if trying to show off his slim to non-existent strength. “Alright, bud. We’ll go look for him once things have calmed down a bit. We were given clear instructions to not go anywhere until Mr. Hanes himself would come take us out. He’s going to take out all the students in small batches. All we need to do is remain calm.”

When Erica arrived at her room, she saw her dorm buddy and gave hr a nasty look. 

“You look so .... uh...” 

Erica remembered the reason as to why she had come to the academy to begin with, she had to fake it till she could make it.

“You look lovely. I love your flashy top.”

She clenched her fists while complimenting Kacey. On the other hand, Kacey kept completely calm.

“Hey, thank you! Your skin looks weird... What are you?”

Before giving a bitchy response, she took a deep breath. 

“I am a pure bred vampire. It’s a bit pale because... well I’m a vampire!”

She let out a forced laugh, keeping her eyes emotionless.

“Haha, you’re great! I can tell we’re going to be such good friends! I’m Kacey!”

Erica rolled her eyes and said, “Erica. Pleased to know you.”
