Even though the campus claims to be fully WIFI enabled, the students report that they have never been able to use internet offered by the college. The facilities in the auditoriums and seminar halls are also limited comparing to what they claim to have. The major issue of KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology is that even after all these complaints to the management about this lack of facilities, they still refuse to acknowledge and enhance the situation. Therefore, students planning to join this college to think and research well before taking the decision.

Many students complain that they are not offered any placements as they were promised when they had joined the college.

Core companies does not come to KPR College for on campus drives and even the students from mechanical and electrical departments have to take interviews from IT companies if they want to get any placements. The placement cell in this KPR Engineering college Coimbatore is not functional and therefore the college is not able to bring good companies for placements.

Most of the famed companies that look for industry compliant students are also not attracted to this institute because of their prior experience. The companies that come for placement in a year is not ready to take students from KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology in the next years because the students of this college are not industry ready. They are not aware of the industry best practices and do not have any practical knowledge. The college still does not improve their facilities to provide quality education through qualified faculty and for this reason, the condition of placements worsens day by day.

The students at KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology are not even given any support to find internships. The internships done as part of the college curriculum were done by the students themselves by searching the companies independently. The management of KPR College does not offer any support to get into the companies and this makes things more difficult for the students. Even though they don’t help you find internships, they will cut marks if you have not successfully completed internship within the stipulated time period.

I studied in this institute for my graduation and it was the worst experience. If I had known about this institution before I joined, I would not have even considered joining here. The management of this KPR engineering college in Coimbatore is focused on making money. The also hire faculties accordingly with low qualifications. In this way, they save money in salary. But this act is reflected in the teaching environment in this college.

Many faculties in the college are not completely educated on the topics they take. They also do not consider if the students learn or not. The focus is given only on making the students somehow pass the exam and not on developing their skills and knowledge. This makes the students very incompetent to secure a good job. The teaching method is also very poor that students won’t get an opportunity to think outside the box. They don’t get a chance to wing out their creativity and even the students who were creative before joining here would become uninspired. The faculty of this institution is not able to guide the students in the right path and make them industry ready.

Majority of the faculty, with the exceptions of very few are not talented and are not able to give proper training to students, be it in teaching the syllabus or to make them compliant with the future industry requirements. They do not have knowledge about the subjects and they browse the internet and take classes. If you are joining KPR Engineering college Coimbatore  you will have to learn everything by yourselves. The infrastructural facilities are also different from what is advertised to the outsiders. The lab facilities are also on an average scale.

The computer labs have systems that hang all the time and 40% of them does not work properly, the students say. There is no dedicated area for sports at KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology. As per some reviews, the infrastructural facilities like auditoriums and seminar halls are also very small.

The students complain that the library is small and only has very few books which are related to their syllabus. Very few copies of these books are also available, so most of the students are not able to make use of this facility. Students cannot take books from the library that aren’t related to their academic subject. This reduces the use of the library itself.

Quoting one of the reviews, “KPR has a very bad infrastructure. The AC was last used 5–6 years ago. Hence, AC Classrooms doesn’t exist. Now you might think, there will be ACs in the lab at least, You’re wrong, the Central AC doesn’t work in the labs too. The college is in a state where they should take the adequate actions to maintain the basic infrastructure that they claim to have. Proper maintenance of the facilities is also requested by the students of KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology to have a proper campus life.

KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology (KPRIET), the engineering college in Coimbatore is content with unqualified staff. The college is in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, established in the year 2009. Being a student of this institution was a decision that I regret at times. Our course had low qualified faculty and the teaching method they used were also poor. The institution is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. And one does not expect this from such an institution.

From the outside, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology is a top tier institution with all the facilities. But once I joined the college, got to know that many of the professors and assistant professors do not have the required qualifications, but the college seems to be content about the fact because they could give them low salary.

Some of the faculty are unqualified and some do not have the efficiency in properly teaching the students. Nobody understands what some of these faculty members are teaching, and if you question, then they will tell you to get out of the class. This had left us a struggle in completing our engineering course with ease. There is no industry exposure in the college and useless study material is provided by KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology.

There are also some faculty who are cooperative and teach well, but these teachers are the lesser lot. The college has other facilities for sports and extracurricular activities like other engineering colleges. Every facility is on an average scale and not much to boast about as the institutions claims at the time of student admission. Even, the college physical trainer who came this year is in worst possible shape, he knows only a single sport and he is friendly with only a single branch.

The games period is of 1 hour 45 minutes duration every two weeks and this is not much a time for students’ physical development. The college will improve if they appoint the faculty with good qualification and are very cooperative and friendly to the students, something I wish we had during my graduation days at KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology.

This is the drawback of KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology because, only the general test is conducted in the college level and then if any students are selected, they have to go to Chennai/Hyderabad on their own without any support from the college.

The students get a chance to join these companies, but the fact that they are not directly placed from the college reduces the students’ chance of getting placed from the larger lot.
