Bronte brushed him off. “I’m not letting the three of you stay together, who knows what you might get up to. You’ll need my senior supervision. I’m joining.” There was no room for argument in his face, not as he somehow straightened further and Terik worried his spine would snap; it couldn’t be healthy to be so rigid.

Been seeing a lot of descrying is fake stuff on my timeline and I just think it’s so funny bc imagine faking an ability and accidentally ending up on the council. Like young Terik realizing oh shit I don’t have a talent I’ll be scorned—wait a minute. And he just comes up with a new ability on the spot. Then ppl start coming to him to sense potential and he’s just saying whatever he wants (you better hope you were nice to him in high school because if you weren’t your potential is 0). Then ppl realize his readings aren’t coming true so he covers his ass by being all like “well potential is nothing if it’s not lived up to” and everyone else is just oh yeah that makes sense. Councillor Terik you are bullshitting your way through life and honestly I love that for you

Like it's a council meeting, and Emery is like 'yeah we can't seem to get the trolls to cooperate in negotiations' and Bronte just goes "skill issue". And everyone else loses their shit because what the fuck Bronte.

Something that needs to be talked more about in this fandom is Sophie and Bronte’s subtle growth towards respect and even love. I mean Bronte really was just a complete hater in the first few books but he genuinely started to care for Sophie, especially after he met Amy, which is just so freaking adorable! He even told her that she might not be his daughter but if she was he’d be so proud LIKE WHAT- I don’t care who Sophie’s biological father is, the only two options in my head that I will ever consider Sophie’s dads are Grady and Bronte!
