KME Tarot Bingo: The Hanged Man (Surrender, letting go, new perspective)

In a desolated castle outside of Prague, whilst the whole country was on the brink of the Velvet Revolution, two figures were lurking in the shadows. The light coming from the television was the only source that illuminated their faces.

“Do you think they are ready for us again?” Sebastian arched his left eyebrow. He faced the boy, who would never age. He would be more than a hundred years old if he were still human. Ciel declared himself “dead” to live a new chapter of his life. He and Sebastian went on to see the world between heaven and hell.

“I’ve been a demon all my life, Ciel. It is not hard work to be with humans and move the same way like them. I am a living proof.” Sebastian replied, albeit condescendingly.

Who could forget that fateful day when Alois Trancy denied the demon butler’s intention to devour Ciel’s soul? And irony of ironies, Ciel got what he wanted, the killers of his parents were dead, but it meant he also couldn’t die. Most of all, he and Sebastian were inseparable.

“Perhaps, it is time to face the music once again?” Sebastian suggested, a bit irritated.

“I am missing Bard. Let’s go to the Americas and stay there for a while. And be rock stars.” Ciel smirked.

“Surely, this is not one of those whims of yours.” The butler stayed glued to the TV, watching what was happening on the streets of the Czech capital.

“It is getting noisy in this part of town.”

“Noisy?” Sebastian chuckled. “Very well. As you wish,” Sebastian bowed down to Ciel. It was a habit he couldn’t help doing sometimes.

Just a reminder to those participating that you have a little over a month left!

I have also created the KME Tarot Bingo Collection on ao3! Feel free to add your works to it whenever you post them! The collection will be revealed on May 1st.

To add your works to the collection, scroll down in the settings on the post creation menu until you get to "Associations". Adding a work to a collection should be the first option, then type in "KME Tarot Bingo". This will sort your works with other works for this challenge to make it easier to find. As a note, I will never hide or delete a collection. I strongly believe in ao3 being an archive. However, no one is required to post to ao3 to participate in this challenge, and if for any reason, someone wants to remove their works from the collection, they may.

Another type of event, more specialized to you!

For May, we are hosting a bingo event! It is opened to all types of fan content all ratings and ships are welcome, just remember to tag appropriately according to our rules.

Each person who signs up will get a 3x3 card (nine spaces total!) centered around tarot cards! Try to get a bingo or fill the whole card, or do what spaces you can. You can use one piece to fill multiple spaces as well.

Don't know much about tarot? That's okay!

Each card has a meaning associated with it, fill the space by creating something related to one of those meanings, and we'll include that meaning when we send you your card! Each card will have at least five major arcana cards. Each major arcana card has a meaning and a name (such as the Tower, the Moon, the Devil) and you can take the name of the card literally or use the meaning of the card for your prompt. We'll also be posting inspiration, tagged "tarot inspo" to help give you inspiration if you're stuck!

If you have a specific topic you would like to avoid (like dark fic or death) please let us know when signing up!

Sign ups start NOW, January 9th, and will go until January 29.

To sign up, send on off anon ask. Make sure you DMs are open, or follow the instructions I will send by answering your ask privately so I can add you to the list and send you your card. No sign up asks will be answered publicly. You will receive your card on January 30th.

Post your works starting May 1-7!

The first week of May will be dedicated to reblogging all the pieces you've done. You can also share your card with others, or allow your followers to pick which spaces to fill!
