Thoughts on Ishan :
(and ict in general)
1. When he opted out of India's test squad before our series with S. Africa....I knew... I KNEW it will be a long time before we'll get to see him playing for India again.
And then few weeks later Rahul Dravid said in a press conference... He can come back... Just play domestic.... My heart sank.
Here's the thing, I don't blame him at all for taking a break due to mental fatigue.
I fully support his decision as well. He prioritised himself and that's good.
But my dude... If I was your friend, if I was there with you... I wouldn't have let you go.
I would have grabbed his trousers and refused to let go. This is team India. You take one step back and 10 other people are standing right behind you ready to take your place.
Shubhman gill was hyped up so much... Remember his 126 in 63 balls against New Zealand?
But he faltered.
And Today he's in reserve.
Jaiswal is going to be our new opener in all 3 formats very soon. And there's nothing wrong with that. The guy earned it.
Ishan left the South Africa Series and a month later during the india Vs England test Series Jurel was picked and he did an excellent job.
Now imagine... Imagine if Ishan was there instead... If ishan had scored those 90 runs.....he would have made his place permanent.
I'll repeat myself.... I don't blame him for leaving... But he should have thought this through. Especially when a guy like Rahul Dravid is your coach.
(he's the same guy who gave declaration during a test match when Sachin Tendulkar was about to score a century. He's not as innocent as he looks.)
Another thing which really hurts me is how so many people complain about him being benched and then dropped but Yaar....there are tons of players who have gone through this.
Even Ashwin was benched. He said in an interview that when his team would win he wouldn't even feel like going in the ground to congratulate them coz of how hurt he felt.
It happens.
.
.
.
Anyways My overall opinion on this drama is :
1. I support him for leaving.
2. But I hate that he left.
3. A block of ice would be a better coach than Rahul Dravid.
Anyways... Jo hogaya so hogaya.
What I want now is for him to focus on his future.
And He can start by leaving Mumbai Indians.
MI was the team who would pick young players, groom and invest in them and make them capable enough for team India.
The MI we have seen this year is no longer that team. It doesn't matter how many reels their insta page puts out, the atmosphere of that team is tense, awkward and a hot mess.
If Mumbai really cared about a future captain as they claimed.... They should have made Ishan their new captain...like how csk and gt did with ruturaj and gill.
But oh well.
Right now... The best he can do is keep himself fit, play domestic and leave MI at THE EARLIEST.
That team, it's atmosphere, the mismanagement and inner conflicts (believe me, they exist) will not help him at all.
Imo, he doesn't need a team to grow. He has developed a good skill set. What he needs now is a stage.
A team like Kkr, RR or Gt will be great for that because these teams don't drop Their players after 1 or 2 matches... Have good coaches, stable environment and a good atmosphere overall.
Ishan is an excellent wicket keeper + batsman and the type of cricket he plays is best suited for t20 format (one day and test also but especially t20).
Whether we win or lose this t20 world cup... This one is the last one for our senior players.
After that, our youngsters will take charge (at least they should).
Yashasvi and Abhishek should be our openers.
Gill, rutu and Riyan would perfect be for middle order.
Ishan, with his explosive batting style, would be the perfect finisher.
Also... This dumb culture of batters not learning bowling (encouraged by this stupid impact rule) that has developed in the Indian team needs to STOP.
Look at Australia and New Zealand's t20 squad. Look at how many all rounders they have.
Look at ours. We won the 2007 cup because of all rounders as well.
Also... We cage our players. We hold them back. A player like Travis head is playing with such ferocity because his style and mindset is supported by his captain, his team and his media.
Meanwhile... If an Indian player attempts to do the same and doesn't make a big score in 2 -3 matches... He'll be benched instantly.
Another thing... If we look up the stats of our players in this year's t20 wc squad...
Except virat, Bumrah and maybe kuldeep ...everyone else is on ram bharose.
When players like n. reddy, ishan, rutu, gill, Riyan, natrajan... will be groomed and given enough opportunities....their aggressive style will be supported instead of criticized.... that's when we will win trophies.

KKR Predicted XI vs RR: Bet365 Ipl Offer Kuldeep or Harbhajan likely to exchange erratic Prasidh
Tumblr media
IPL 2021: With Prasidh Krishna going for lots against CSK, Kolkata Knight Riders may replace him with a spinner for the clash against Rajasthan Royals.
bet365 ipl offer
The Kolkata Knight Riders began the IPL 2021 on an emphatic note, winning the opening contest against Sunrisers Hyderabad by 10 wickets. But ever since that resounding start, the two-time champions have shown a slump in form early within the tournament to lose subsequent three games during a row. Their inability to end the sport against Mumbai Indians led to tons of criticism, but with their batting failing to click twice more against the Royal Challengers Bangalore and therefore the Chennai Super Kings, it’s time for a few soul searching  bet365 ipl offer.
bet365 ipl live streaming
Against CSK, KKR’s top order was shredded once they were reduced to 31/5, before an inspiring rearguard effort from the center and lower order lifted them to scale back the margin of defeat to 18 runs. The combined efforts from Andre Russell, Dinesh Karthik and Pat Cummins were a lesson how KKR have depth in batting, but it needs more support from the highest order, which currently cannot seem to crack the code. Their next opponents, the Rajasthan Royals, are during a similar boat, and there cannot be a more opportune time for KKR to rediscover their mojo. Here may be a check out the Probable XI KKR may field tonight bet365 ipl live streaming.
bet365 ipl cricket live streaming
1 Shubman Gill: Shubman Gill was out for a duck against CSK, but he’s too good a talent to abandoning . The youngster has gotten starts in three games out of 4 and it might be cruel for the KKR management to drop him. Gill must use his India experience to offer KKR an honest start at the highest , which he thus far has been unable to realize  bet365 ipl cricket live streaming.
bet365 betting app download
2 Nitish Rana: Nitish Rana has been the in-form top order batsman for KKR, having hit two half-centuries from four matches. within the last game, by the looks of it, the pressure of a stiff target got the higher of him but expect the KKR opener to urge some runs going at the run-fest that Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium has clothed to be thus far bet365 betting app download .
bet365 betting rules cricket
3 Rahul Tripathi: Rahul Tripathi may be a fidgety player, but one who is additionally very effective. the most important challenge he must ace is to not throw away starts. Tripathi’s last effective knock was an 80 he scored last year. Time is running out for him within the middle order but a pivotal knock here against an under-fire RR can help his case bet365 betting rules cricket.
4 Andre Russell: Andre Russell placed on quite the show the opposite night against CSK, hammering 54 off just 22 balls with three fours and 6 sixes. Had it not been for a brain-fade moment that led to his dismissal, Russell’s muscle and terrific hitting could have given CSK the jitters. Having finally hit form, KKR should consider making Russell bat higher.
bet365 ipl live streaming
5 Eoin Morgan (Captain): World Cup winning captain Eoin Morgan has not had the best of runs with the bat or as captain. With many 2, 7, 29 and 7, Morgan’s form has been a touch of a priority for KKR. he’s a terrific T20 batsman and if he’s batting at No. 4, he must get going or promote other batsmen above him bet365 ipl live streaming
bet365 ipl offer
6 Dinesh Karthik (Wicketkeeper): one among the foremost experienced batsmen, Dinesh Karthik showed glimpses of his explosive batting within the last game against CSK, smashing 40 off 24 with four fours and two sixes. He must continue batting with an equivalent intensity as that’s when he’s most dangerous. A batting promotion might not be a nasty idea for KKR to maximise Karthik’s utilization bet365 ipl offer
7 Sunil Narine: The niggle not persists and Sunil Narine is sweet to travel . Narine picked up 1/31 against CSK but his figures aren’t a real picture of how good he looked. The variations were back and he often surprised Faf du Plessis and Ruturaj Gaikwad together with his stock deliveries. The more he bowls, the higher he will get.
bet365 ipl cricket live streaming
8 Pat Cummins: Pat Cummins once more proved his credentials as he nearly achieved a shocking chase for KKR. Had he not had a shortage of batting partners, who knows… he could have done the unthinkable. However, Cummins the bowler went for lots against CSK, leaking 58 runs from his four overs. That must change of KKR are to stay RR to a minimum bet365 ipl cricket live streaming
bet365 betting app download
9 Harbhajan Singh: Prasidh Krishna went wicketless for 49 runs, and it wouldn’t be the worst of selections if KKR replace him with off-spinner Harbhajan Singh, who was overlooked of the previous game. Harbhajan is best when opening the bowling or operating inside the Powerplay. Playing an additional spinner may benefit KKR against RR, whose top order is additionally guilty of not scoring runs bet365 betting app download.
10 Varun Chakravarthy: CSK pummeled KKR for 220 runs, of which only 27 came off Varun Chakravarthy’s four overs. The off-spinner has been in fine form, getting wickets early and keeping the batsmen quiet. With RR’s batsmen already struggling, Chakravarthy would convince be an ace up Morgan’s sleeves bet365 betting rules cricket.
bet365 betting rules cricket
11 Kamlesh Nagarkoti: Young Kamlesh Nagarkoti bowled just two overs against CSK and gave away 25 runs. KKR must look to utilise Nagarkoti more as a bowler. Nagarkoti may be a decent batsman and therefore the Knight Riders could also enjoy his batting albeit he’s expected to bat last https://bestindianbookmaker.com/bet365/

#559 Liverpool continue their dream run in Champions league, to face Real Madrid in finals who are 1 win away from hatrick champions league titles; Nadal JUST-CAN’T-BE-BEATEN-IN-CLAY in 2018; RCB finally found a bowling unit who can defend a target; Southee and Siraj star in win vs MI; Pant keeps DD hopes alive; Rashid Khan keeps winning games for SRH; Dhoni and Watson continue to excel for CSK; Surya,Rohit and Bumrah keep MI hopes alive with brilliant win over Punjab XI and more..:-)
Tumblr media
In Champions league 2nd leg SF, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich scored in 3rd minute itself to take aggregate to 2-2. But Real Madrid bounced with goals by Benzema to take aggregate to 4-2 by half time. Bayern Munich played their heart out in 2nd half. Real Madrid were made to sweat by each move by Bayern Munich. Rodrigues reduced aggregate gap to 4-3.  But that was where it ended. Real Madrid thanks to their brilliant defense reached their consecutive finals of Champions league. They would face Liverpool in finals who beat Roma 7-6 in aggregate. Liverpool tool 2-1 lead by half time to take aggregate to 7-3. Roma scored thrice in 2nd half to give Liverpool some tense moments. But Liverpool managed to reach finals for the first time since 2007.
Nadal continued his dream run in Barcelona open. He beat Goffin 6-4 6-0 (thereby winning 400th match in clay !!) in SF and thrashed Tsitsipas 6-2 6-1 in finals to grab his 11th Barcelona open.  He has won 46 sets and 19 matches in a row in clay. This is staggering stat. He became first player to win 400 matches min in both clay and hard court. Legend in his own right.
CSK faced MI in Mumbai. CSk just managed 169-6 in 20 overs. Raina starred with 75 from 47 balls but it like CSK were 20 runs short. Once Surya and Lewis had 69 run opening stand, it was clear MI would win with ease. Rohit hit his 2nd IPL 2018 fifty to give Mi 8 wicket win. RR hosted SRH in Jaipur. SRH were cruising at 109-1 in 14th over thanks to great hitting by Hales and Williamson. But they had collapse post that and just managed 151. RR were cruising at 72-1 in 10th over. But Samson got out, RR fell apart. Stokes batting form has been poor in this year’s IPL. Rashid and Siddarth then put the plug on RR scoring. RR won the match by 11 runs in the end. SRH have defended their 3rd successive low score. Its massive achievement considering they don’t even have Bhuvi in lineup due to injury.
RCB hosted KKR and struggled without ABD. De Kock and Mccullum had a 67 run opening stand. But post that they struggled with run rate. Kohli did some big hitting towards the end to take RCB score to 176. Once KKR dropped Narine in first over and Lynn in 3rd over, it was clear that RCB would fall short. RCB took some quick wickets to put KKr under pressure. KKR needed 43 from 4 overs. Their death bowling again fell short of expectations. KKR won with 5 balls to spare. RCB have not got their act together in any game so far. They have won 2 games solely due to ABD heroics.
CSK hosted DD in Pune. Watson was dropped early on. Post that it was all CSK. They scored a massive 211-4 in 20 overs. Watson scored a brilliant 78 and Dhoni hit 51 of 22 balls. DD were reduced to 76-4 before Pant and Shankar showed some fight but it was too steep a climb and lost eventually by 13 runs. Pant’s 79 of 45 was a brilliant knock though. RCb hosted MI in Bengaluru. Manan Vohra and McCullum again wasted good start without going for big score. RCB got 167 which looked 15 short. But RCB got this 167 mainly due to 2 blunders by MI. They bowled 2 waist high full toss which went for six. Free hit of both balls also went for six. So 26 runs came of Just 2 balls.  Mclenghan gave away 24 runs in last over which also proved costly for MI. Southee gave RCB dream start by castling Ishan for golden duck. Umesh dismissed Yadav and Rohit of consecutive deliveries. MI struggled post that. Pandya brothers gave hope to RCB. 35 was needed of last 3 overs. RCB held their nerves this time by bowling mix of Yorkers and slow deliveries. RCB badly needed a win and bowlers finally won them a game. RCB won by 14 runs. T was match where RCB as a unit performed well. MI now need to win all their remaining 6 matches to reach play offs.
2nd contest between RR and DD also was reduced by rain to 18 overs a side. DD made 196-6 thanks to fifties by Pant and Shreyas. Due to another rain interruption, target as reduced to 151 in 12 overs. That was a tough ask. Butler and Short gave RR a dream start by reaching 82 in 7th over. But RR collapsed from 82-1 to 100-3. They needed 51 of last 3 overs but fell short by 4 runs.  DD grab their 3rd win in IPL 2018. KKR hosted CSK. Watson and Du Plessis raced to 48-0 in 5 overs. Post that Chawla South African star. Watson and Raina took CSk to 91-1 in 10 obvers. Pos that CSK struggled to guile and variation of Narine-Kuldeep-Chawla. They just managed 177. They reached that due to another 25 ball 43 by Dhoni. Jadeja dropped Narine of 2 consecutive deliveries in 2nd over of the match. It was clear it was not CSK day. They reduced to KKR to 40-2 and 97-4. But Shubman and Dinesh Karthik had other ideas. They kept creaming balls to boundaries to take pressure off KKR. They eventually won the match with 14 balls to spare. Shubhman scored his first IPL 50 in the process. But combined effort of 32 and 2-20 by Narine was the key for KKR victory.
MI had to win all remaining 6 games. It started with facing Punjab at home.Gayle and Rahul gave Punjab a brilliant start with a 54 run stand. Punjab lost way post Rahul got out. They sent Yuvi ahead of Mayank and he took time and didn’t get any timing. Gayle got out aftera  40 ball 50. Yuvi was runout soon after. Punjab did 2nnd blunder by sending Axar ahead of Mayank and Stoinis. That backfired too. Some hitting by Stoinis, Nair and Mayank gave Punjab a score of 174. Axar and Yuvi faced 26 balls between them and just scored 27 runs. That was the difference between a 190+ score and 174. Bumrah was star for Mi with 1-19. Surya gave MI a perfect start with yet another fifty. MI were reduced to 80-1 to 120-4. They needed 50 runs of last 4 overs. Rohit and Krunal finished it off in style with some lusty hitting. MI won by 6 wickets with 1 over to spare.

PLAYING XIs: Sunrisers Hyderabad: David Warner (captain), Kane Williamson, Manish Pandey, Vijay Shankar, Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Jason Holder, Shahbaz Nadeem, Abdul Samad, Rashid Khan, Sandeep Sharma, T Natarajan Delhi Capitals: Ajinkya Rahane, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer (captain), Rishabh Pant (wk), Shimron Hetmyer, Marcus Stoinis, Axar Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, Tushar Deshpande CAPTAINS’ TAKE: David Warner (SRH): I was actually looking to bat first. (on his birthday celebration) I can’t understand this cake-in-the face business (laughs), it’s quite messy. It was disappointing to lose that last game with a lot of wickets in hand. Shreyas Iyer (DC): We’ll bowl first. The wicket looks dry and the dew factor coming in later is a factor. That (the trends) definitely goes into our mind but we were constantly batting first in the early part of the tournament. But the wickets have become drier and that’s affected our plans. We want to end up in the top-two, and the boys are really motivated. After some bad performances, we sat together and talked about where we went wrong. Same team. TOSS: Delhi Capitals captain Shreyas Iyer wins toss, opts to field against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Both the captains – David Warner (SRH) and Shreyas Iyer (DC) – are in the middle for the toss. It’s TOSS time, folks. Hello and welcome to the Live coverage of the IPL 2020 match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals.

#820 CSK for a change look jaded and lacking in power in IPL; RCB wins a match which was to be lost but get hammered as expected in next match; KL Rahul’s 132 against RCB best knock of the week; RR and MI win their matches against CSK and KKR respectively;  Match of the week was a stunning super over match between Punjab and DC; Nadal not clear favorite in French open which is being played in early winter for the first time; Man CIty start EPL season with a win; ManU lose; Liverpool continue dream run; Spurs shine and more..:-)
Tumblr media
2nd match of IPL turned out to be a cracker. Punjab bowlers were on top as Delhi were struggling at 100-6 after 17 overs. Stoinis then tore into Punjab’s bowlers to take score to 157-8. He scored 53 runs of 21 balls. 30 runs came of last over bowled by Jordan and 44 of last 2 overs. That gave momentum to DC. They reduced Punjab to 55-5. Mayank then took the attack to DC with help from Gowtham and Jordan. He scored a classy 89 but when just 1 run was needed from 3 balls, drama happened. Mayank was beaten of first ball. Mayank and Jordan was dismissed by Stoinis of last 2 balls. Match went to a super over where Rabada ruled. He dismissed Rahul and Pooran of consecutive balls. Match over
In 3rd match, Devdutt Padikkal played a breezy knock in his maiden IPL. His opening stand took RCB to 163-5. RCB looked good for 180 at one stage. ABD played well for his 30 ball 51. Umesh and Steyn sprayed all over the place. They are just not made for T20. SRH were cruising 89-1 when Chahal changed the match. He first dismissed Manish first. When it looked like Bairstow would take SRH home, Chahal castled Bairstow and Vijay of consecutive balls of his last over. That opened the gate. Saini bowled brilliantly which helped RCB win by 10 runs. RCB lost first 6 matches last year. SO this is a refreshing start. But all fell apart in their 2nd match against Punjab. Rahul’s breath taking 132* helped Punjab to 206-3. This was highest score by an Indian and by a captain in IPL. Virat dropped him twice  and first was when he was at 83. That gave Punjab the cushion. RCB never got going as they lost by 97 runs. SO literally Rahul beat RCB scorewise.
CSK faced RR in their 2nd match. Scintillating 32 ball 74 by Samson, a classy 69 by Smith and a shocking final over by Ngidi where he gave 30 runs to Archer helped RR to a score of 216-7. Though Faf played well for his 37 ball 77, CSK were never in the match. They lost by 16 runs. Match was over by the time 16 overs was bowled. MSD came too lower down and CSK didn’t accelerate early enough.
MI had to get back to winning ways and they did. Rohit Sharma’s classy 80 and 90 run 2nd wicket stand with Suryakumar helped MI to 195-5. KKR started off well when Dinesh and Rana took SRK’s side to 71-2 at half way stage. Both were dismissed off in consecutive overs. KKR again left too much for Russell. 96 was needed of last 5 overs. Bumrah came back to form when he dismissed Russell and Morgan in one over. MI won by 49 runs.
CSK faced DC in next match. Prithvi Shaw’s brisk 43 ball 64 and 94 run opening stand with Dhawan helped DC to a score of 175-3. They were at 88-0 at half way stage. They looked good for 200 at one stage. But CSK bowled erally well in last 4 overs when only 41 runs were given. Curran and Hazelwood were really effective. They varied their pace and kept batsmen guessing. Pant struggled to get any momentum. He made 37 of 25 balls. He usually scores 60 of 25 balls when in full form. Axar dismissed Watson for 6th time in 60 balls bowled to him in IPL. CSK 23 -1. Vijay’s struggle continued. His 15 ball 10 ended when was dismissed by Nortje. CSK 34-2. Vijay looks a shade of the player who smashed RCB all over the park in 2011  IPL finals.  CSK’s experimentation with Rituraj continued. He struggled too. He was runout after making 5 runs of 10 balls. CSK 45-3.  There was no Dhoni still. Jadhav came to bat. They were restricted to .47-3 at half way stage. At 13 overs when strategic timeout was taken they were at 71-3. They needed 105 runs from 42 balls. Jadhav hit a few blows post break to get a move on. They had a bit of luck when ball landed in gaps. Drop catch by Hetmyer helped Faf too. There was hardly any momentum. MSD came too late when Jadhav was dismissed for 26. CSK eventually lost by 44 runs. There was a feeling that CSK are less in oil and power for now. Raina and Rayadu are their only 160-180 strike rate batsmen in top 4 and with both not there, they are struggling.
French open will kick off on 28-Sep. It has been scheduled for the first time in early winter season. Ball would bounce more and courts would be a touch heavier. Nadal doesn’t necessarily excel in these conditions.  He would not be outright favorite this time . He is in search of 13th French open but it could well be his toughest. With hardly any clay matches under him, Nadal would be behind Djokovic when it comes to favourite to win another slam. There are some interesting first round clashes. Murray faces Wawrinka and Cilic would face Thiem in first round. Murray and Cilic are unseeded. Potential QF matches would be Nadal – Zverev, Thiem – Monfils, Djokovic-Berrettini and Medvedev vs Tsitsipas. Thiem and Nadal are in same half of the draw. Medvedev and Djokovic are in other half of the draw.
In EPL, Man City started off new season with 3-1 win over Wolves. De Bruyne and Foden starred for Man City. Leicester City beat Burnley 4-2. Mane helped Liverpool outclass Chelsea 2-0. Both the goals came just after interval. Spurs beat Southampton 5-2. Son Hueng Min scored 4 goals. Crystal Palace shocked ManU 3-1. Zaha was the star with 2 goals.  In La Liga, Real Madrid were held to a goalless draw by Real Sociedad.

Chennai Super Kings: Chennai Super Kings first team to be eliminated from IPL 2020 | Cricket News

Chennai Super Kings: Chennai Super Kings first team to be eliminated from IPL 2020 | Cricket News
DUBAI: Three-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have been knocked out of the race to secure an IPL playoffs‘ berth for the first time in 13 years after Rajasthan Royals (RR) defeated Mumbai Indians (MI) by eight wickets in Abu Dhabi. MI vs RR SCORECARD | POINTS TABLE | FIXTURES The Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led side had made it to the playoffs in each of the 10 IPL seasons that it participated since the league started in 2008. However, CSK endured an inconsistent run in this IPL. Dhoni’s men notched up an eight-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bangalore on Sunday to keep their slim chances alive for a few hours. (SCORECARD) But their hopes ended when RR beat MI later in the day. The win over RCB took CSK to eight points from 12 matches but they can only achieve a maximum of 12 points if they win their last two games, which won’t be enough to seal a place in the playoffs.

— Sakshi Singh 🇮🇳❤️ (@SaakshiSRawat) 1603646478000
In the points table, Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals and RCB are already on 14 points with Kolkata Knight Riders at 12 with three games to go, followed by Kings XI Punjab and RR — both on 10 points each with three and two matches left, respectively. “We don’t really have a chance to make it to the play-offs, leave the mathematical part of it,” Dhoni had said after CSK beat RCB on Sunday. “You have to enjoy the game no matter where you are on the table. If you are not enjoying the cricket, it can become cruel and painful. So I am glad with how the youngsters have responded.”
Thank you for standing by us through everything. #WeShallPlayOn 🦁💛#WhistlePodu #Yellove #WhistleFromHome https://t.co/5XpNTgZDh3
— Chennai Super Kings (@ChennaiIPL) 1603651219000
CSK had won back-to-back titles in 2010 and 2011, before reclaiming the crown in 2018 following a two year gap. They also ended up runners-up five times. CSK will take on KKR on Thursday in their penultimate game.

The win, however, was still not enough as they needed two results to go in their favour to qualify for the playoffs and eventually it went their way. (Play Fantasy cricket and win cash daily)
