if you havent heard, K'naan had been charged with SA. as a fan of K'naan, i am very disappointed. and i don't think i can listen to his music the same again. i dont think i am going to share his music on here anymore, but im not going to take it down. i'll have it as an archive. when i started this fanblog, i was a huge fan of k'naan. i really enjoyed his music. i thought his music was very inspirational. his music had a very powerful message. i had discovered k'naan initially through the band Keane. i had liked the songs he was featured on, and i listened to his stand alone stuff, and loved his music. ive been a fan for about a decade. and the past few years, when he was featured in a few songs and had made a new song last year, i was excited. i was excited to hear new music from K'naan. but after hearing the news about K'naan yesterday, i dont think i can look at K'naan the same way again. i cannot and will not support someone who SA'd someone. i am feeling a huge mix of emotions about the news at the moment, because i have nostalgia for the good memories i had when listening to his music back in the day, and also sadness and anger at what he did. i may occasionally share news about K'naan's case on this blog, or news about him in general, but as of today, i dont think i can call myself a "fan" of him anymore.
