Presenting the first-ever "runic" Thor's Hammer, discovered in the 10th century on the Danish Island of Lolland. While over 1000 similar amulets have been found throughout Scandinavia, the British Isles, Russia, and the Baltic region, the Lolland pendant stands out as unique due to its runic inscription. This extraordinary torshammere, also known as a Thor's Hammer Amulet, was unearthed in Kobelev and brought to the attention of Museum Lolland-Falster archaeologist Anders Rasmussen by detectorist Torben Christjansen. The pendant features seven runes that form the inscription "Hmar x is," translating to "This is a Hammer."    Crafted with utmost precision, our sterling silver Mjolnir replica necklace exudes elegance and serves as a remarkable gift and protective amulet for your loved ones. Thor, the valiant defender of both gods and humanity, is the eldest son of Odin and the earth goddess Jord. He traversed the skies wielding the legendary iron hammer Mjolnir, renowned for its distinctive short handle. In Norse mythology, Thor's Hammer is depicted as one of the most formidable weapons, capable of leveling mountains with its sheer power. This iconic hammer possesses magical properties, capable of granting life to animals, preventing death, bestowing fertility, and bringing wealth.    The Vikings embraced the Mjolnir necklace as a symbol of protection, donning it to guard against monsters, curses, and enemies. As a potent Nordic amulet, it harnesses great power, shielding its wearer from negative energies and malevolent forces. The Thor Hammer pendant is a testament to its wearer's courage and serves as a conduit for good fortune, neutralizing harmful energies and curses. By wearing this pendant, one gains an unwavering confidence in their abilities and receives invaluable support in their journey through life.    Our Mjolnir pendant, with its striking design and rich history, exemplifies the magnificence of Viking jewelry.

This bronze Thor's Hammer is inspired by a 10th century artefact from Købelev in Denmark. It contains a series of Norse runes which say 'Hmar x is'  or 'This is a Hammer'. Thor's hammers such as this one were widely used as religious amulets during the Viking Age, with wearers hoping to invoke the favour of the thunder and fertility god Thor.

I saw something on thor's hammer. Could you go into more detail about it?
I have done a graphic design based on the Thor’s hammer amulet found in Købelev on the Danish Island of Lolland by Torben Christjansen (now held at Museum Lolland-Falster). You can see that on my shop web page.
There are actually many such amulets found that date back to the Viking age, but none that are so specific as this one. It has the runic characters “HAMR x IS” written on one side, meaning “this is a hammer”.
This, along with the other artefacts, provides evidence of the Scandinavian faith in Thor. I have read that Thor was more the god for the common people than Odin. However, this is not my area of expertise, and for further information and reliable references to follow up on I would refer you to someone such as http://thorraborinn.tumblr.com/

Thor hammer pendant (mjolnir)
First “runic” Thor’s Hammer ever, seems to have been recently found in Købelev in Lolland/Denmark. The writing consists of seven runes, and says ”Hmar x is” which means “This is a Hammer” - where “x” simply is a sort of space character (other usual ones are ” + ” and ” : “). The Hammer dates to the 10th Century, and of the about 1000 Thor’s Hammers that have been found, this is the only one with any sort of (at least preserved) writing on it. Thors Viking hammers are often called Mjollnir or Mjolnir as this is the actual name Thor gave to his Vikings hammer. It is a very powerful Nordic protective amulet. This pendant brings luck and neutralizes bad energy or curses. It gives confidence in your own abilities and gives of the owner a great support in his life.
