I don't know that I really release music anymore for any other reason than to catalog it on bandcamp. I've been so far removed in the last three years from everything that I don't really sell anything or play out anymore. I did post it on linkedin and one of my references liked it. They're an important connection contextually because of art, education and sociological theory. I applied for a job with the archdiocese recently where they asked for references, transcripts and the whole nine. So it's good to keep up the balance between professional and practice. But it's a hard road to navigate out here when everybody thinks they're instafamous. People are being hollywood out here in the cold and it's like trying to famous in Siberia. Unless you are some Siberian Yagyu Jubei it's not really worth the fight. That's a Juubee-chan 2: Siberia Yagyuu no Gyakushuu reference. The tone of that anime is all over the place but it's a sleeper hit for sure. It's going to be below zero out here through Thursday. I might work on some disco edits that I have sitting in ableton. Been playing a lot of slay the spire lately more than anything. Still want to get around to showing off my Elden Ring build in a youtube video eventually. But there isn't really a point to any of this other than I'm bored and locked down in some weird fog of war. Not that I'm not used to it. It's just getting hard to explain to myself how pathetic people can be trying to be seen. So much backstabbing you'd think this really was a ninja anime. So I'm trying to focus on other things regardless of how much shit people talk about what I'm trying to do. For the record that release is basically the soundtrack right now to my life up to a point. I'm sure they'll edit it out of the reality show of my life they're making due to licensing issues. Even if I was the main character I don't even think I'd appear in the credits. That's the secret of how batshit people are out here. It's a vibe for sure.

recently learned the character designer for (the newer) casshern sins, juubee-chan, and doremi did the character design and some other animation work for heartcatch. makes so much sense now, im obsessed

im midway through heartcatch and its really interesting seeing the shift in audience. as in you can tell when the precure execs/team realized their audience included a lot of adults (men). heartcatch has way more depth than the previous ones. i dont necessarily enjoy watching blossom and marine struggle, they are for sure the weakest precure, but i appreciate it. the emphasis on side character stories for the sake of the desertarians is nice and makes the show not as monotonous. doesnt feel like a drag at all. so far my favorite season

also i love the DX movies… they fill my heart with so much excitement. the miracle light thing is kinda silly but i get it, its fun

ouuuu i love the art style of heartcatch precure. definitely more forgiving when it comes to wonkiness that was seen a lot in previous precure iterations. also reminds me of katanagatari which i love a lot

so far… nagisa and honoka have my favorite pretty cure outfits for sure and the animation was really cool. splash star had the best mechanics. fresh was alright. i generally enjoyed yes precure 5, the rulers of the other kingdoms and syrup were so cute
