HARRY UZOKA REMEMBRANCE DAY Harry and his “Justanorm” brothers in 2013 —- designed from a behind-the-scenes pic at an editorial shoot by Alexandra Leese for Client Magazine. The Justanorm Collective was made up of half a dozen top male models of color in the UK, these forward-thinking, highly creative brothers set out to change the game. By banding together to package and pitch their collective skills in a “book one, book all” push, they raised the overall exposure of strong male faces of color in the industry. Like Wakanda emerging from the thick fog of invisibility, Harry, Chuck, Dylan, Jamel, Jeremy and Boyd quietly created a powerful tsunamic undercurrent in the industry that contributed to a legitimate change-of-culture. As with so much of Harry’s too-short life, we ALL benefited from the Justanorm efforts.
