Genuinely what is with all these artists/bands merch being sold for so much nowadays? I don’t even mean resellers here, I mean merch prices in their actual online shop have gone up so much...
#personal#I mean times are tough sure but like?!#Just saw a merch store where a hoodie's sale price was $80... $80 was ON SALE.#And that's probably MINUS shipping because no free shipping usually.#As an ex My Chem merch collector I've definitely spent a fair amount on merch but holy shit.#I remember one of my first ever pieces of merch that I EVER bought was a Br*nd N*w hoodie back in Daisy era days.#And I remember being so winded over spending I think it was like $55 shipped at the time for a hoodie on their shop...#Younger Kam had NO idea. Take me back.#And I STILL have that hoodie by the way. As much as I'm supposed to hate the band now I can't.#Also that hoodie does still fit and it has sentimental value to me for it being one of the first ever band merch pieces I bought.

Trans stores!
This is a long post warning
Binders:
https://www.shapeshifters.co
I know these people the most from their mermaid-scale binders - but they have all kinds of patterns including opalescent ones, holo, nude, or you can even get a custom print on them in crop or full length style, repairs, and they have some styles on sale. They’re all tailor-made to your individual shape in Vermont. I’m a fan of holo, so I’m definitely looking forward to having them in my budget in the future. They don’t just sell binders, either, so check out their other merch.
Sizing: TAILORED TO YOU!!!!!
Binder Price Range: $30-80 depending on if you’re getting something on clearance or, in the high range, cosplay with special stitched-in designs.
https://www.gc2b.co
GC2B prides themselves on being a trans-owned company in Maryland. They have a nice selection of colors in a wide variety of sizes, and I am a big fan of the fact their prices don’t raise if you get a bigger size. Their return policy is also pretty great. They also have some apparel, like basebal caps, beanies, hoodies, tees, and they’re doing a special line for Black History Month, too! And gift cards. Very important.
They also sell white ones, but I figure you all know what that looks like already.
Sizing: XXS - full chest circumference is 27-30 inches. 5XL - 47-52 inches. Everything in between.
Binder Price Range: $33 - 35 depending on if you’re getting a crop or tank. Loving this price.
https://www.flavnt.com
FLAVNT Streetwear (pronounced ‘Flaunt’) is a small business owned by a pair of Texas twins and a bunch of other queer staff that go to Texas State University (my college woah!), and I first encountered their binders through an ad about their swim-safe nude binders. They also have a lot of creative apparel and accessories that celebrate pride and gender euphoria. 15% of their sales go to donations for their current fundraiser, which is a partnership with a trans individual for every different year. They’ve helped with funding top surgeries and other goals!
They tote the binders as being comfortable enough to where you’re recommended to go a size down if you’re in the middle of a size category, which was a surprise to me. Returns are on a case-by-case basis, but if their binders are really that comfortable the sizing measurements should be pretty hard to fuck up.
These are their colors:
Sizing: XXS - full chest circumference is 26-29 inches. XXL - 40-43 inches. All the sizes inbetween depending on stock.
Binder Pricing: $49.99 (That’s it!)
https://peecockproducts.com
PeeCock is a trans-owned business that has a lot more than binders, but some of their stuff is definitely more geared towards adults, like their ‘pleasure rod’, so I’d recommend not browsing it in front of family. They are most known for their STP (stand to pee device) the ‘PeeCock’ that doubles (triples?) as a packer and can even be used as a strap-on. They also have a height-increase insole for your shoes and other cool stuff.
The binder they market boasts that you can wear it all day and even exercise in it. They sell ones with velcro, zippers, buckles, and some you can slip on. They come in black and white, and in lots of different sizes. Return policies are a Nope.
Sizing: Small - full chest circumference is 28-30 inches, XXXLarge - .43-49 inches. Their sizing chart is in the image previews of each binder they market.
Binder Pricing: $25-59 depending on sales.
I would recommend going to @binder-review for checking out real people wearing all of these different binders and comparing them to eachother. Negative reviews, positive reviews, meh reviews, videos, pictures, chest size comparisons, large trans folk and small trans folk. I personally have a problem with when I buy a binder, I always buy one too small the first time around and I’ve got a chest circumference of 48 inches so it’s hard to find one that’s going to help make me flat. I had a binder for a long time that made me really sweaty and uncomfortable that was from UnderWorks so I’m not even gonna bother linking it, it made life hell and I spent a couple years just not wearing anything under my shirt. I got misgendered way more but I wasn’t physically dying from my ribs getting pinched and warped and not breathing and sweating my everything off in the central-Texas heat, and they didn’t even hardly flatten me anyway.
Other stuff:
https://outplaywear.com/
Compression swimwear that looks great and feels great, as well as selling all kinds of nice and different apparel and accessories. Not binders, but it also isn’t SUPER jiggly at the waterpark. From their ‘about us’: “Outplay is a company without gender but a lot of heart.” I totally jive with that. Also, I’m really loving their mesh collection.
http://point5cc.com/
I saw their clothing designs and fell in love. What else can I say?
Okay I’m tired, I’ll try and do more with this later. Be safe and stay euphoric.
