Drafted this a week ago, saw your message a day ago, want to make this absolutely clear: I am NOT trying to push you into coming back. Take all the time you need. I just do this to all the art I see ok.

One thing I love about your style is the way that, instead of using lines to shade hair or clothing folds, you just let the shading do all the work, it makes the pic feel exceptionally vibrant!

Judging: Fey

“HOLY SHIT THAT FUCKING FAKE ASS MAGIC BLOOD WAS COOL AS FUCK. I WANNA SEE THAT SHIT AGAIN!” Raihan shouted, the dragon gym leader practically leaping up from the table with excitement. Piper sneered with disgust, glaring at Raihan, then at Fey,

“It was disgusting! I never asked to be covered in blood!” she exclaimed. “This isn’t some b-roll horror movie, Raihan!”

“Yeah but ya weren’t actually covered in blood, luv,” Spirit spoke up. “Now please, Piper, sit down and lets get to judging! Leon do you need more tissues?”

“No no, I’m alright!” Leon sniffled, using his sleeve to wipe his tears away.

“I AM sitting down, Adney! Its Raihan who jumped up like an excited toddler-” Piper is cut off as the scratches at her neck really begin to itch. She growls softly, reaching up to rub at them, the itchy feeling spreading to her hands. While Piper works on trying not to scratch herself in front of a camera, Raihan clears his throat,

“Alright I’ll get the show started again since Piper is so uhhhh itchy?” Raihan snickers, feeling the steel leader’s glare on him. That’s fine, he thinks. Keeps it off Fey for a second at least. “Anyway, so I thought the whole aura backdrop was pretty fucking sick. The fake blood effect was also a really sweet touch! Creative way of having more pokemon than you’re supposed to without actually doing so to! My only complaint about it is that I don’t think the aura was as shiny as it coulda been, and if you were going with splattering us all in blood, it should have been actual fake blood! Commit! So I’mma give your aesthetics a 7 out of 10.” Raihan pauses for a moment, to look at this phone and the chat, to see what commenters were saying. He then turns his attention back to Fey,

“The story you told was pretty tragic? I mean it was about losing some of your partners and uhhh a buncha red guys. Either way it kept my intrigued for the most part so I’ll give you an 8 out of 10 for your story telling. Overall, I think you had a bloody good appeal, but tldr not enough blood, so for that I’ll give you another 8 out of 10. This makes my total for youuuu....” he frowns again, looking at Leon again. Leon sighes,

“23, Raihan. You’re giving her a 23.”

“Oh really? That’s smaller than i thought...oh well math right?”

“My turn? Excellent because I have a lot to say about this travesty of a performance!” Piper declares, standing up. Her rage at just looking at the girl in front of her makes her able to ignore that damnable itching- no burning, the burning, coming from her neck.  “Alright listen you little bit-”

“PIPER.” Spirit shouts, smacking the table. “Language.”

“...Fuck you Adney. Anyway for your performance Fey. I’m giving your little aura light show and that foolish trick you played with the blood a 3 out of 10. It was overplayed, and frankly not as clever as everyone thinks it was. You basically used the same lazar light show as Feiyun, with extra steps. The story you told was incredibly boring. So you’ve lost a few pokemon and saved the world? Guess what sweetie, every trainer worth their salt has-”

“Piper. Either continue judging or we’re just going to invalidate your score.” Spirit hissed. 

“...Fine. Your story gets a 5 out of 10. My overall opinion is your performance was an absolute travesty I hated being forced to watch so you get a 4 out of 10. My total score for you is 12. Take it or leave it.”

With a tug to the back of her jacket, Spirit makes Piper sit once more. Leon stands to give his judging while Spirit is whispering frantically, and seemingly angerly, into Piper’s ear.

“Well in the complete opposite of Ms. Smith here, I thought your performance was incredibly moving and powerful Fey! Which is saying something given who you followed up.” Leon stood from his chair, giving Fey his own ovation.

“In Galar, we focus on the bonds we can form with our pokemon. And I can think of no better way to speak of the bonds between you and your pokemon than by honoring the ones you have loved and lost! So for this, I’ll save us all the time, and tell you that I am giving you a perfect score Fey! This makes your total score from me 30! Fantastic job, Fey!”

“Oh you’re just trying to piss me off aren’t you Leon?” Piper snapped.

“What? No I just genuinely enjoyed her performance...”

“I was thinking the same thing, Leon! Though I do...have some apprehensions.” Spirit says, the Champion a little tense in his seat. The topic of pokemon death had hit him hard, thought thankfully Spirit managed to keep his composure.

“So to start off, the scenery you created using pure aura was fantastic. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like it before! That being there I do believe that the...blood splatter was a little too graphic. So your aesthetics I will give an 8 out of 10. The story you told resounded very personally with me, given I also lost some of my original team members in a great tragedy. Its...never easy to experience that loss, and I applaud you for being able to tell that story to us today. You were very brave Fey, and the world is a better place for what you had the strength to do. I’m giving your story a 10 out of 10!” 

Spirit takes a moment to collect his thoughts once again, “My overall opinion of your performance is that it was unique and fantastic. I am sorry for the trauma and heartache you had to face. I’m awarding you a 9 out of 10 for this category. This makes my total score for you a 27.”

“We also have some bonuses to give to you, Fey! You get the bonus 15 points for Gigantimaxing your Charizard! Another wonderful choice there by the way, best starter-”

“Leon you did not give her a perfect score because she had a charizard, did you?” Raihan asked, raising an eyebrow.

“I would never! Anyway, you also give a bonus 3 points for making me cry...again. Giving you a grand total of 18 bonus points! Now please turn your attention to the screen to receive your final score!”

Total: 110 POINTS!
