Zanpakuto Academy
Zanpakuto is a school mainly for gifted students; more often than not- Most of their student body is troublesome kids. The school is attended primarily by children of the rich and famous (e.g. children of prominent families, business magnates, politicians, celebrities, etc.). Although the testing scores needed to stay high to stay at the school, their reputation of having mostly delinquents overshadows their students’ potential. Deeming the school to be more like a reform school rather than a private academy like its intended use.

Okey, I really wanted to say that I really can't understand why people even like Bakugo, as in, reading the whole manga he started bad, but later on he just got so much worse, the start at least understands he's not a perfect person and makes him responsable for his own actions.
Later on, it stopped doing that and I will vividly remember Bakugo as the one character that has given me actual headaches, full on feeling like I lost braincells reading every time he appears on screen
I just can't help but feel this isn't even full on Hori but the editorial and fans just being so obnoxiously on Bakugo side even if it makes the series worse as a result.
And I mean the last bir a lot, the start of the series got my favorite iterations of Izuku, later on even he got hit by Bakugo narrative dragging him and it just makes me so mad this is what became of the series and it's focal points
Agreed. At first I didn’t really have any feelings about Katsuki. Yeah, he suicide baited Izuku but it was clearly done to showcase the kind of person Katsuki was before he’d get developed. However, once the Katsuki dickriding started I couldn’t believe that such a horribly terrible character could come from someone working for a juggernaut in the manga industry. I’ve disliked characters before, but none have been a parasite in the way Katsuki has. To put it into scale, there’s a huge gap between how much I despise Katsuki and how much I hate my second least favorite character (Junzo Sakakura from Danganronpa). There’s no redeemable part of either character but Katsuki takes being a shitty character to places I didn’t even know could exist. The fact that he has Stans makes it even worse.

Yoshio Sugino Sensei Jigoro Kano, the founder of judo, introduced Sugino to the Katori Shinto-ryu school of #kenjutsu in 1927. Sugino also started studying Yoshin Koryu under Genro Kanaya around this time. He met aikido's founder Morihei Ueshiba in the early 1930s, and studied aikido sufficiently to gain a teaching license and open an Aikikai-affiliated dojo by 1935. By the 1940s he was teaching kenjutsu, aikido, judo and naginatajutsu full-time.In 1953, Sugino was asked to provide sword instruction for the actors in Akira Kurosawa's film, Seven Samurai. Originally the work was shared between Sugino and Junzo Sasamori of the Ono-ha Itto-ryu, but Sasamori pulled out early in the filming due to teaching commitments abroad. Sugino's choreography for the sword-fights departed from earlier, Kabuki-influenced work and focussed on making the scenes as realistic as possible.

Kaeya: Kasuke, have you seen Jean and Diantha?
Kasuke: Hm? I haven't seen them this past week, I've been doing Jean's work for her..
Kaeya: Then where-
???: Kaeya....
Diantha: *Smiles, a tired look on her face, holding a basker*
Jean: *Chuckles, waving to them* Hey Kaeya, Kasuke...
Kaeya: *Stares at them* Where were you?
Diantha: *Turns the basket around, smiling at him*
Carla, Junzo and Clint: *Yawns, laying asleep together*
Kaeya: *Stares at the babies, his eye widening*
Jean: *Walks over to Kasuke, giving him a small smile then looks at Kaeya* Diantha was having kids, so we snuck away so we could surprise you
Kaeya: *Smiles at Diantha, resting his head against hers* Well...consider me surprised..
Diantha: *Giggles, smiling at him*
Kale: *Stares the two down, scowling in rage* Liars.

Odakyu department store
Shooting date: Mid November 2022
The Odakyu department store is located on the west side of the Shinjuku Station in Tokyo. The building and the Shinjuku Station west square were designed by a Japanese architecture Junzo Sakakura, who studied under Le Corbusier, and built in 1967. Unfortunately, the Odakyu had been closed down on Oct 2, 2022, and the building is going to be demolished and rebuilt to reopen in 2029. I’ve often been photographing this building because I love the windows. The shape of the frames and the contrast of shadow and light on them are arguably a piece of art. I’ve always been fascinated by those windows, especially in the night time. I’ll be missing it.

Au inverted fate
( Ау перевернутая судьба)
Tumblr media
A brief history:
Au where Soda and Hajime study at the same school
Their friendship has greatly influenced both of them . Hajime is not so worried that he has no talent, and Soda has become more trusting of people and has not changed his appearance.
Before the tragedy
Unfortunately (and to joy) Soda did not enter the Peak of Hope Academy, and Hajime did not enter the reserve course. They both work part-time in a cafe that is located near the peak of hopes, where Soda and Hajime often meet class 77
During the tragedy
One day, the cafe where Soda and Hajime worked was attacked by the monokuma army, they somehow get out to be horrified by what is happening to the world. Both of them are saved by Junzo Sakakura and they join the Foundation of the Future

The Clockwork Man Chapter 2: Sakurasou
Notes: This is part of a bigger story project dedicated to Teru Mikami's past. It's still in the rough draft stage, so things may be subject to change. Please leave feedback if you enjoyed, it would encourage me greatly.
Middle school was another matter entirely. The more I confronted evil the more enemies I had to face. Victims would become participants and even the people watching would be influenced by evil and become enemies themselves. But for justice to triumph, it requires action so I realized to serve justice I had to delete evil.
Flute music blended into the spring atmosphere, where it was blue from the sky, bright green from the grass, and pink from the cherry blossom trees all reflected in the clear water running through the stream. Although Teru always loved his mother’s compositions, he could not help but think, this particular one, Sakurasou, had a sad tone to it.
His mother explained to him that she intended it to be that way because, sometimes, the most beautiful things in life were sad. At the time, Teru could not really understand what his mother meant by this. As he watched the cherry blossom petals fall from the trees and drift through the water, he wondered what middle school would bring.
—April 1st, Meisho Year 15, a new semester of Toyogaoka Middle School begins—
The teacher of the First Year, Class B introduced himself as Mashimo-sensei, and required every student in the class standup at their seat and give a short introduction about his/herself which consisted of their name and/or if they had any nicknames, their elementary school, and their hobbies.
Teru listened attentively as each boy and girl in his class stood up and gave their introductions. When it became his turn, Teru began, “I’m Mikami Teru. I attended Birakoshi Elementary School. My hobby is reading. Good to meet you.”
As Teru sat down, he heard one of the boys who sat behind him, Shibuki Soshu, snickered and muttered, “Nerd.”
            That was only the beginning.
Shibuki, along with Haruno, Mikajima, and Oye went on to harass and attack Sakai Noboru, whom Teru tried to defend, but in the end, both Noboru and Teru became a bloody mess on the boy’s bathroom floor. The four boys beat people up, stole things, and broke school property but got away with it, because of a lack of evidence, but Teru knew.
By the end of the first week, Shibuki Soshu, Haruno Kyuichi, Mikajima Hachigoro, and Oye Junzo four of the worst delinquents, established themselves to be the “rulers” and the worst troublemakers of the class, maybe even of the entire freshman grade.
One afternoon, because the weather was warm and sunny, Teru thought about having his lunch on the benches of the school grounds. But when lunchtime came around, his bento had been stolen. There had been no way to find out who had stolen his lunch, it was as though it had vanished. However, Teru had suspicions it could have been the works of Shibuki, Haruno, Mikajima, and Oye.
Teru sat on the bench, frustrated, trying to figure out when and how it could have been taken from him. He was determined to take on all four of them if he had to, even if he did get beaten up again like last week when he ended up with a bloody nose from getting punched too many times and his glasses crushed by Oye.
While Teru was sitting hunched over, angrily staring at the floor, a shadow came into his line of sight. Teru turned to his right to see it was a girl, who had to be one of the upperclassmen because she looked big—taller than him and definitely passed 13 or 14 years old. She had wild, untamed dark brown hair, wide eyes, and was smiling which made Teru subconsciously soften his expression.
“Hey there! Is the seat beside you taken?” she asked.
“No... go ahead.” Teru answered as he moved further right to make room for her to sit.
“Thanks,” she continued in her bubbly voice.
Teru gazed at her for a moment, but remembering it was rude to stare, he looked back straight ahead.
“You’re not going to eat? Or, you finished your lunch already?” the girl asked him.
Teru looked back at her and responded, “No, I... lost it.”
The wild-haired girl’s expression went from happy to sympathetic.
“I’m sorry to hear that,” she responded automatically. She then held out her wrapped bento towards Teru and continued, “Here. You can have mine.”
Teru’s eyes widened in surprise.
“Are you sure? Then, you won’t have anything to eat.”
The girl smiled once more, giggled, cleared her throat and joking said, “It’s okay, it’s the senior’s responsibility to take care of our younger ones. Go ahead, you don’t have to hesitate! I hope you like tamagoyaki, okura, and fishcake though.”
Teru bowed his head to her and thanked her as he accepted her lunch. He hesitantly unwrapped the bento box, took out her chopsticks and ate her lunch slowly.
“It tastes delicious.” Teru then said.
“I’m glad you like it!” the girl said with her smile that made him feel warm inside.
“Senpai, what’s your name?” Teru asked reluctantly, but he felt like he had to know.
“Hm? Oh, I’m Asakura Shoko. “Asakura,” spelled with the Kanji of “morning” and “warehouse.” “Shoko,” as in “shinning” and “child.” What’s yours?”
“I’m Mikami Teru. “Mikami,” as in “Mi” the Kanji from the word “bewitched,” and “kami” as in “above.” “Teru” is spelled with the same Kanji as your first name, “shinning.” He answered shyly.
“Wow! We share that one Kanji. I’m bad with remembering people’s names, but that makes it easier for me to remember yours!” Shoko said cheerfully.
But it matches you unlike me...You actually shine...when you smile, I can’t breathe. Teru thought to himself as he watched her face.
“So, what do you like to do for fun?”
Teru had to think for a moment before answering her question.
“I like reading, mostly. I enjoy the Morphbots manga, but I watch the anime too. But I... don’t have any specific favorite book or genre, I tend to read anything I can get my hands on. What about you?”
Shoko then crossed her arms, held her chin with her left hand, and looked up at the sky and said, “Hmmm. Definitely watching Godzilla movies and drawing!”
Teru was somewhat let down by her answer. He did not like Godzilla because Godzilla is not justice.
“Asakura-senpai, why do you like Godzilla?” Teru asked curiously, trying to hide the disappointment in his voice.
“Because, his designs are so cool!” Shoko said enthusiastically, going into full-Godzilla fan mode.
“Have you seen Godzilla Y? Or Space Godzilla?”
Instead of feeling clarified, Teru felt even more confused.
“But if he was real, he would step on you. He’s not a nice guy,” He reasoned.
Shoko stared at him for moment, but broke into a giggle.
Her laugh is so charming...her smile...she’s pretty, maybe even beautiful...and perfect in every way... He thought as he watched her longingly.
“You should know, Godzilla saves humanity sometimes.”
Then Teru thinks, That’s not good enough, a hero has to save people all the time.
Teru noticed that lunchtime was almost over, he knew he didn’t want to give Shoko her bento box back without washing it clean first.
“Wait here, I’ll be right back.” Teru says to Shoko.
He rushed to one of the faucets outside, he washes Shoko’s bento box and chopsticks the best he could and dries it with his handkerchief. He wraps and ties it with her lunch cloth and rushes back to Shoko.
He hands it back to her. Shoko accepts it with a grin and says, “Thanks.”
“No. I should be the one thanking you. It was good, senpai.” Teru blushes and looks down at the floor.
“You don’t have to call me ‘senpai,’ just ‘Shoko’ is fine.”
“But that’s...It seems too casual.”
The school bell rang which indicated that lunch was over. Shoko, before turning around waves goodbye and says to him, “Well, it was nice meeting you, Teru. I guess I’ll see you around.”
“It was...so good to meet you, too.” Teru stammered as he sadly watched her leave. He missed her even before her figure was lost in the crowd of other third years.
When Teru went back to class, he had forgotten all about trying to find who stole his lunch. His thoughts were replaced by her.
Shoko Asakura, who was as lovely as the sakurasou blossoms. The perfect girl. He wished he could eat her delicious cooking every day. He wished he could call her his lover, his wife.
That night he had dreamed about her. In his dream, he heard her laughter, he could see her naked from head to toe but she vanished as soon as she had appeared. He was lost in the woods and no matter how far he went, how fast he ran, he could never catch up to her.
Teru woke up that morning feeling simultaneously wonderful and sorrowful. He finally understood what his mother meant when she said in life, sometimes the most beautiful things were sad. Because Teru knew Shoko most likely had forgotten all about him already.
He knew Shoko wouldn’t be interested in him, someone like her must have had countless admirers. Not to mention Shoko herself probably had a crush on another guy, someone probably older and shines just as much as she does.
            But, so what? Teru thought.
Even if she never likes me back, it doesn’t mean I can’t express my love to her in some way. I can do it in a way she doesn’t have to know that I’m the one who admires her. She deserved to know that she is loved, regardless.
With that, he takes the best quality paper he can find in his desk, a pen, and writes his first anonymous love letter to her
Notes: I wanted to imagine a scenario where Mikami falls for a woman who doesn't normally seem like his "type." After all, I don't think it is impossible for Mikami to have a crush on a bubbly, extroverted girl. I hope I was able to write the scenario in a believable way, though. And to clarify, in case you have never heard of "Sakurasou," it is the name of the Japanese Primrose. I chose this flower for its symbolic meaning of "eternal love." The source is here in case you want to take a look. Last but not least, a big thank you for reading this. 😊
