Julio + Landroi ref pages! I’m posting both together because it looks like Julio was designed to be Landroi’s son. There doesn’t seem to be any explanation in the artbook as to why the relationship was left out of the game, but it seems likely that it was due to time constraints or the added complexity it would add to the writing.

Because it was left out of the game, it’s unclear whether this is still meant to be canon: in-game, Julio’s name is Julio Wrightman, not Julio Falkes, and Julio no longer bears all of the wheat embroidery along his clothing. However, he does still seem to have a small sheaf of wheat of the back of the book he holds in his canon portrait.

Edit: I just realized I left off one of the endnotes (the image with just text), it’s now been added.

Translation notes:

The name “Yuri” can potentially have some meanings along the lines of “help, village” depending on what characters are used. However, the characters used in-text seem to be a more generic spelling, so I’m not certain what the associations are.

The text in the text-only image was hard for me to figure out--I’m still not sure if I got the meaning 100% correct. “Designers” might have actually been better translated as “conceptual planning team.” In part because of that, I’m not sure whether the speaker was the original designer, or whether the other team was, or who exactly made the decision to make him a swordsman.

In that one comic that’s repeated three times, Julio repeatedly says a word that I’ve translated as “Father.” I’m not convinced that’s an exact translation--the characters involved are sometimes used to mean a type of land, or a male ruler, which would all imply different things. “Father” just seemed like it made the most sense in context.

A new age for Norzelia has been planted, and Julio returns to Whiteholm Castle in the wake of brutal war, tasked with conveying relics back to home and household destroyed by its fierce flames. From under the ashes the seeds known to its land sprung forth anew, and so someone had to salt its earth, the title anointed: a new steward of the land. But to do so, Julio needs to face his father whom he had not seen for years.
