I’m so glad so many people have been enjoying Blue Eye Samurai! I feel so lucky to have been a part of this amazing project as a character designer. I started this drawing just for fun way back when I was on the show, and I finished it up for the release day of the show 2 weeks ago! I love drawing these characters so much. So proud of our whole team!

LOOK!!!!!!! Be A Team is out today on the Cartoon Network app!!! I drew the title card and William Gibbons painted it. Julia Srednecki, Kali Ciesemier, Emily Walus and I made these movable parts for Nick Army’s Team Training Tank. Skaboosh!!
This episode was boarded by Dave Alegre and Haewon Lee and art directed by John Pham!
There are lots of funny drawings in this episode!! (and new designs for Nick Army and Joff - check out Julia’s post here!)

Enid's style in her "Legends of Mr. Gar" flashback was inspired by this doodle done by @rebeccasugar during OK KO!'s development! The final design was done by @juliasrednicki!

it's kinda weird: you talked about leaving CN back in december, Julia Srednicki talked about leaving CN back in April, yet both of you were credited on the final OK KO eps. Did you continue to do some freelance stuff on the show after you left?
Ha nice catch again! I moved away from LA but technically continued working on the show long distance, all the way up to the final episode!

if youre going to complain about the female designs, please dont blame ian. hes done pretty much nothing for the show except voice some characters and board one scene.
julia srednicki and brandon wu are the two people responsible for all of the finalized character designs and ref sheets, and julia is most known for some of the more notorious and infamous female designs.

The release date for our show is coming up very soon! I feel so lucky to have had the chance to be a character designer for a year and a half on Blue Eye Samurai at Netflix as part of our wonderful character team along with super-talented fellow designers @sasakisketches @abigail_larson and @rocketboiart , led by the incomparable @briankesinger as our amazing lead character designer! I’m so grateful to Brian for bringing me on to the show! I haven’t been on here for a long time, but I really want to share just a few of the beautiful images from the trailers, including some characters I worked on. It’s just a tiny taste so far! The whole show looks incredible thanks to the vision and fearless leadership of our Supervising Director @janewushu and our showrunners/absolutely phenomenal writers @ambernoiz and Michael Green, not to mention the entire crew of ridiculously talented artists and production teams who made it happen (shoutout to our wonderful character design coordinator, @mizuhime07 !) I learned so much from all of them and I can’t wait for everyone to see the finished epic on November 3rd! (Note that the show is definitely for adults, not for younger viewers!)

On OK KO we are encouraged to make up our own characters as we need ‘em. It’s always a lot of fun to come up with these little character bios!
During the first episode, I made this character named Pird because I needed an “obnoxious customer” type character of approximately human-man proportions. Thus... a combination baby bird/human man you see before you was born. I accidentally love him now
The final design was by Julia Srednicki, and you can find it over here!!

Hey all, Sorry for being so quiet but I can finally post some stuff from O K K.O.! Let’s be Heroes that I’ve been working on this past year. The first six episodes are out and I had the great opportunity to do the designs for the fist in “You’re level 100″. Black and white line work is by me, Colors are by Jessica Yost
Also go check out my design partner, Julia Srednicki’s work at http://juliasrednicki.tumblr.com, she’s been posting a lot of the great work she’s done too!
