Abraham showed Tom around the house and gave him a little background on the family history...

ABRAHAM- “This was my mother, she died when I was three, and this is my grandfathers, Lennon and Nico, they live here in Willow Creek.”

TOM- “And who is the older portrait ?

ABRAHAM- “She was one of the original owners of this house. Her grandfather-in-law built this house for his wife and she lived here after the death of her husband. Bella Goth, she was the first known witch.  There were others before her of course, but she made her gifts public. A very powerful woman. She handed this home down to my great-grandmother, Saffron Boedell.”

TOM- “You have a rich heritage, Abraham. So it doesn’t have to stop with you, you know that right?”

ABRAHAM- “I am not sure if I want children, really, I know that Ezil would love to have kids. But it’s almost impossible for us to have any.

TOM- “Not as long as you have a family member or Ezil has a family member that would be willing to produce eggs....

As Tom talked to Abraham about family, Jude and Ezil talked about work....

JUDE- “So Dad says the school is doing great.”

EZIL- “Yes, it is, we had 15 kids this first year, and we already have another 10 that have applied next year.”

JUDE- “I kind of thought you would go into being a teacher, but honestly, I never seen Abraham as the teaching kind.”

EZIL- “He is loving it actually.”

They shot a few hoops and was getting into it, but Abraham was really curious about so much.  And now that he had someone he could talk about it with, he wanted to know things....

ABRAHAM- “So you talk like you’ve been with guys...”

JUDE- “Yeah, I have.”

ABRAHAM- “Wow, how many?”

JUDE- “I’m not a whore... only two.  One was a guy that used to live around here, but his father got transferred to Pleasantview.  We met up a couple times after he moved, but then it just fizzled out.  I mean we were only 14 or 15.”

ABRAHAM- “And the other one?”

JUDE- “He is actually an older guy. We just started hooking up, when he is in town anyway.  I mean it’s nothing but sex as it is not going to go anywhere, but right now I’m not really interested in a relationship.”

ABRAHAM- “Older, how much older?? So how did the first time happen?”

JUDE- “I thought we were playing basketball...you are loosing by the way.”

He came over to where, Abraham was sitting, and could tell immediately that he was upset about something.

JUDE- “What’s up, you look a little pissed?  My Dad giving you too much homework again?”

ABRAHAM- “No, it’s not him...It’s nothing really.”

JUDE- “You can tell the Jude Dude, man, I don’t want to play basketball with you distracted, I want to beat you fair and square.”

ABRAHAM- “It’s Ezil, he is just been acting really weird lately and now he isn’t wanting to go to Alexandria to work as an apprentice next year.  I mean I don’t want that shit, but I really think he does. Plus he has no one here...but me.”

JUDE- “He does rely on you alot. It’s almost like he is dependent on you...but if he doesn’t really want to go, you shouldn’t talk about it. I mean he may want to, but don’t want to leave here.  He has it nice here, and you two are pretty close.”

ABRAHAM- “Yeah, maybe.  Sometimes I think he might, be like...----”

JUDE- “In love with you?”

ABRAHAM- “Yeah...so you see it?”

JUDE- “Kind of.  I mean he is pretty protective of you, and like I said he seems kind of dependent on you. And I don’t think he likes that we hang out together now.  Maybe he is a little jealous that you have another friend besides him.”

ABRAHAM- “Maybe that’s it. I mean we have never really had other friends.  It’s always just been us, and his sister. And we sure haven’t talked about our...sexuality.  It’s just never came up. I haven’t really gave it much thought until lately.  The way he has been acting.... I’m not sure.”

JUDE- “Are you attracted to him?  I mean like in that way?”

ABRAHAM- “I mean...I don’t really know...I mean we have grown up together. We do everything together, well up until now. We are very open, you know...like we get dressed in the same room, we even have showered together before. I don’t know....maybe. He is built really nice....and---”

JUDE- “UH..I don’t want to know. Well maybe I do... But honestly, when I first met the two of you, I thought you were boyfriends.

ABRAHAM- “You are probably right, and to be honest, I do love him...I just don’t know about the sex stuff...”

JUDE- “Being gay isn’t ALL about  the sex ...I mean it’s hot, but when you love someone, it isn’t and shouldn’t just be about sex.  It should be trust, and respect...and you just get each other...you know?  When sex does happen, all those things make it so much better.”

ABRAHAM- “ I do respect him and trust him with my life...and there is no one that knows me like Ezil does...and there have been times I have had fantasies...”

JUDE- “It’s all good Boedell, that is normal.  Don’t be afraid of it.  Hell your grandparents are gay and so is Lucien.  You should know more than anyone about how important it is to be who you are.”

ABRAHAM- “So what should I do...I mean how do I just ask him???”

JUDE- “I mean you don’t need to do anything any different. But maybe just bring up what you just told me, about how you feel about him.  If he is in love with you, I am sure he will tell you then...and if not, then I’m available....”

ABRAHAM- “You are pretty hot.... LOL”

JUDE- “See, don’t it feel good to say that, even if you were joking.”

ABRAHAM- “I wasn’t joking, you are.”

JUDE- “We should play basketball....”

TOM- “So glad we got the chance to meet, and hopefully we can help you two become parents!  Have your sister call us tomorrow Ezil, and we can get started right away.”

EZIL- “I will.  It’s a little scary, I will admit, but at the same time exciting.”

TOM- “After seeing your family and heritage, I think this is a good chance and opportunity for you two carry on the legacy.”

ABRAHAM- “My grandfathers are going to be ecstatic!”

EZIL- “Jude...it is really good to see you again.  I hope we can start over.”

JUDE- “You bet, Ezil.  It was obvious to me even then that the two of you were meant to be together.  And now what the two of you are doing at the school. Destiny has a way of making things right.”

EZIL- “Abraham says you have a boyfriend?”

JUDE- “Yeah, his name is Tom.  We just got our first place together.  He is a fantastic guy, and I really care about him.

They sat down at the park bench and chatted for a while....

JUDE- “After everything that happened with Solomon, and then him dying, I realized I needed to find someone that wanted what I wanted.  Even though I didn’t think that is what I wanted.  I dated a couple guys, but nothing.  Then when I met Tom, things just clicked.”

EZIL- “I’m sorry about Solomon...I mean I know you two weren’t like together, but I am sure you were close to him.”

JUDE- “Yes, and it was hard when I heard how he died, but the two of you!!  Wow...you saved Lucien’s life and well it all ended the way it should have. Solomon is at peace now. I hope Lucien is okay.”

ABRAHAM- “He has put all his energy into the the realm and the covens. He will be good.

EZIL- “Hey Jude....don’t go away mad...Just go away.”

JUDE- “Fuck you Ezil.... Oh wait, Abraham already has...”

Jude Goth was two years older than Abraham, he just turned seventeen. He had some magical abilities, but not like Abraham. He and Abraham hit it off pretty good.  Abraham liked the fact that he didn’t talk much about magic and the realm.  He was just an average teenage guy that loved basketball.....

JUDE- “Boedell!  You ready to get your ass beat.”

ABRAHAM- “Sure, why not....”

JUDE- “Listen, Boedell...I would love to make out with you...and  well--- that.  I think you are really sexy, and I could really get into you.  I mean like boyfriend stuff, but it wouldn’t be fair to either of us.  I mean you are just coming in to who you are, and understanding that you are probably gay...and then there is Ezil.

ABRAHAM- “What about him?”

JUDE- “You are not sure about your feelings towards him, and who knows what his feelings are about you, and if he is in love with you...and you him, I don’t want to get involved in all that.  You two need to talk.  Then after you two sort things out and you decide you are just friends, then sure, we could maybe go out on a date...and see what happens.  But I couldn’t do that to Ezil or you...and honestly it’s not really fair to me either.”

ABRAHAM- “Okay...that’s fair.  But just thinking about it....

JUDE- “Stop... we are playing basket ball...remember?”

Jude laughed a little, and was really having a hard time saying no to him...it was all he could do not to take him in his arms and pull him into him and kiss him....

ABRAHAM- “So you have someone supply the eggs, and then you insert them into the artificial womb, and that’s it?”

TOM- “For the most part yes.  The most difficult part is the surgery to implant the womb to make sure all the necessary things are in order to allow the fetuses to grow properly.”

ABRAHAM- “So I assume then once the fetus has developed fully then you perform like a Cesarean section.”

TOM- “Precisely. We monitor the host or father pretty closely during the incubation period, as it is certainly not like a normal female pregnancy. A lot of things can go wrong, more so that a normal mother carrying her infant.

ABRAHAM- “So if I had a sister or female relative that would donate their egg, then I could carry the child. 

TOM- “Yes, it works better, we have found out if the host is of the same DNA of the eggs biological mother. So yes, a sister or female relative. There is actually a set of twins that were born this way about 24 years ago, they were one of the first. Their fathers were gay and wanted children. The fathers have recently moved into the condo where Jude and I live.  Their daughter is building a home here in Willow Creek.  She just had a child of her own.  So we know it works.”

ABRAHAM- “Wow...well I don’t have a sister, but Ezil’s sister Yoselin could donate an egg, if we wanted to have kids.”

TOM- “We always want to try and harvest at least five viable eggs, we then introduce them to the father’s sperm, which in your case, yours and once we have successful conception then we immediately implant them in the host father’s womb.”

ABRAHAM- “Are you hearing this Ezil?”

EZIL- “Yes, it sounds incredible. But I am not sure I would want to take that chance.”

TOM- “We have a 92% success rate.  I mean there can always be complications, but like I said we monitor the host father pretty closely.”

ABRAHAM- “I mean I really never thought about having kids of our own, but then I didn’t know this option was even available. Ezil, what do you think?”

EZIL- “I would love to have kids, but other than the womb, a man is not really made for childbearing...what about the hormone levels, heart issues. and all that goes with carry an infant.”

TOM- “Like I said there are risks, but we monitor those things very closely. You would have a monitor on during the entire pregnancy. Your diet would be restricted, and you would be on hormone injections.  Of course you would not be able to nurse once the child is born...and due to the fact that we place more than one fertilized egg within the womb, the chances of twins or multiple births are very high.”

EZIL- “It sounds amazing.  I mean have two or three at one time and be done.  What does the person supplying the eggs need to do.”

TOM- “Just have them come in to the office, we run a few tests and once they are at the fertile stage we take the eggs.  Of course your sperm is on ice until conception and then it take place.

ABRAHAM- “You think Yosie would---

EZIL- “Oh, I know she would...let’s do this.  I will call her tomorrow.”

Jude and Tom came for dinner, and things were no longer awkward for Ezil, and he really liked Jude’s friend Tom. Tom Kennedy was a few years old than them, and had been married previously to his wife Chloe. They had two children and then his wife left him, saying he spent no time with them and was married to his work. Which he was.  He and Jude met on a dating site and after the first date, Jude knew this was they guy for him.

TOM- “I would say it was Jude the pursued me. I was new to the lgbt community and being bi-sexual I wasn’t sure how others were going to react when I told them I had been married and had children. But Jude kept calling me....”

JUDE- “And it paid off, right?”

TOM- “Yes, it did.  Jude and I have quite a bit in common, but we also both have a strong work ethic. Jude is an amazing nurse and works odd hours, which allows me to work outside the practice.  I also run a clinic for couples that have problems conceiving, and for make gay couples that want to have children.”

EZIL- “Male fertilization?

TOM- “No, not yet anyway, that is still in the future, but I have been working with a doctor from Brindleton Bay that has been helping men carry their offspring using an artificial womb.”

ABRAHAM- “Interesting....”

After a while, as was his custom, Ezil would stop by the park and meet Abraham and walk home together.  He was surprised to see Jude there with him....

Abraham knew he was there...being Abraham and he went to greet him and assure him things were okay with Jude....

ABRAHAM- “Look who I ran into at the park today....

JUDE- “Hey, Ezil...

EZIL- “I see....Hi Jude.”

ABRAHAM- “Jude and I were just talking and I told him that we should invite him and his NEW boyfriend over for dinner so that we can get reacquainted, catch up and meet his boyfriend Tom....

ABRAHAM- “Jude...?  What are you doing here?”

JUDE- “I cam to see what was up with you, I haven’t heard from you in days and every time I called you before then to go shoot some hoops you blew me off.  What’s going on?”

ABRAHAM- “Nothing really, just ----

JUDE- “So you talked to him, didn’t you and he told you not to see me anymore, right?”

ABRAHAM- “No, Ezil never said anything like that.  It’s just that well, I have been a little busy.”

JUDE- “You are blowing me off again, aren’t you?”

ABRAHAM- “No, I m not.  I ave just had to try and come to terms with all of this, and I was going to call you but I just didn’t know what to say.  We are still friends and we can still hang out, I just need to some time.”

ABRAHAM- “Dad said that your dad left about fifteen minutes ago. You can hang out here for a while if you want.”

JUDE- “Nah...I should head home, It’s not to far to walk.”

ABRAHAM- “I could walk home with you.”

JUDE- “Then you would have to walk back here by yourself...”

EZIL- So you get beat again, Abraham? Interrupting their conversation..

Things moved right along for Abraham and Ezil.  They started the Boedell Academy with the assistance of Victor Goth.  Abraham would teach Magic history and theory, Ezil would teach Simlish and the Art, while Victor would serve as the administrator.

Abraham continued to go to the park and shoot basketball. It was his way to release tensions.  So every day after school he would shoot hoops for a while before heading home....

It had been over a year since he spoke to Jude, but one day while he was at the park.....

JUDE- “Wow...he has really gotten pretty good....maybe I should just go...

ABRAHAM- “I know you are back there Jude, no reason to leave.  Come on shoot some with me.  I can beat you now, without being distracted....”

JUDE- “Are you sure about that??”

ABRAHAM- “Positive!”

ABRAHAM- “So, how about you plan to come to dinner Friday night, and bring Tom.”

JUDE- “You guys sure?”

EZIL- Definitely, Jude.  I mean Abraham and I spend most of our time at school and then go home watch some TV and go to bed and do it all over again the next day.  We really don’t have any friends.  It will be great to have another couple over.  I mean my sister and her wife, Lily visit from time to time, but they have a kid now, and live in San Myshuno.”

ABRAHAM- “We would love to have you guys over...and you won’t even recognize the house.  We totally renovated it.”

JUDE- “Sounds great. Tom is always saying we need to meet aother gay couple to hang out with.”

ABRAHAM- “Okay then.  It’s settled,  Friday at 5:30, sound okay?”

JUDE- “Yeah, and thanks guys!  This will be fun. Like old times...before all that nonsense.”

EZIL- “Looking forward to it!!”

EZIL-  “So he is cool...AND he knows we are married?”

ABRAHAM- “Yes, he is fine.  He is really happy with his new guy, they just got a place together.  Come on, make up and be open...there is no threat with Jude, trust me.”

EZIL- “It’s not you I don’t trust.”

ABRAHAM- “It’s fine...”

EZIL- “Okay, no reason not to be friendly, I suppose.”
