The One With the Zero Love Life

Manjoume can’t hold back his love for Asuka.  Pushed to it by Fubuki, he steals the seven Spirit Gates’ keys and forces Asuka into a duel.  While Manjoume uses the Love Letter and Hidden Feelings cards, he soon becomes crazed about his love.  He keeps Asuka from summoning Monsters with his Ojama Token and Ojama King and is close to seizing victory, but Asuka seeks to turn things around with her Cyber Angel...

*crashes in months later with Starbucks*

Finally have this completed for you folks! Apologies for the hold-up, it’s been a veery busy month, lol.  So, here we have an iconic episode now finalized: Manjoume VS Asuka, fueled in part by Fubuki’s bad habit of being there for those in love.  It’s entertaining for sure, though it does make clear that Manjoume’s feelings were a bit one-sided... 😅 

Part of the delay with this was working on some of the animation fixes I did here, and doing them for 48-49 too since I want to try and work on them next in quicker succession.  List of 47′s fixes below the cut, as usual.

Enjoy! I’ll be working on 48 next as we get the final villain showdown of Season 1 done in Judai VS Kagemaru, which is a good two-parter; I’ll be trying to do a double-release for them, so stay tuned!

(Update [1/24/21]: Revised to make Asuka’s Chapel of Blessings -- Ritual Church Field Magic’s name consistent with episode 60, which was just finalized.)

Fixes/Edits!

Exclusive to the hardsub here, I translated the “Sea Shack” sign on the shack next to a brooding Manjoume, just before we see Fubuki surfing.

Exclusive to the hardsub, I translated the first of the papers Samejima is putting into his bag in his office.  The full text reads, “FOR YOUR EYES ONLY / TOP SECRET / Duel Academia Training Curriculum / Academic Year 2006″

Exclusive to the hardsub, I translated the “Bravo!” fan in Fubuki’s hand as Asuka agrees to duel Manjoume.

Exclusive to the hardsub, I translated the “Full” stamp that Ojama King slaps onto three of Asuka’s Monster Zones by using his effect.  For the shot of Ojama King fading in with his stamp next to Asuka, I translated the stamp in Photoshop, then froze and zoomed out the shot of just Asuka where the stamp would fade in, then faded in the translated stamp accordingly.  Came out well!

As Manjoume takes damage and activates his Dramatic Crossroads Trap, the Ojama King on his Disk, which was properly placed for much of the shot, suddenly got reversed.  Also, his Disk became kinda low budget as it lost the “wing” part of the Disk on the side for a frame.  I placed the correctly-facing Ojama King there, then copied the “wing” in the preceding frame and readjusted it to fit where it should.

As Manjoume freaks when Asuka finally denies him, Ojama King is reversed on his Disk; I slapped my proxy on accordingly.

As Manjoume reacts to Asuka’s Ritual Church and lifts his Disk to shield his eyes, a repeat of 6 happens, which is fixed accordingly.

In season 1, yo you have to love Duel Monsters if you want to attract this floof boy

Like if you don’t love dueling as much as he does have fun in the friendzone

Honestly this boy doesn’t even understand romance at all

If he had a crush on you he sure as hell wouldn’t know it

You’d have to be the one to confess

And he’d still be confused

It’s pretty much like a super close friendship

Expect lots of hugs though

When the Spirit Keys thing starts, while you aren’t chosen to hold one of the keys, you still help Judai with his, and cheer him and the others on

Then season 2 starts

Judai was pretty unaware his friends were losing duels and being pulled into the Society of Light

So you can bet that if you lost, he would barely even notice

Until he does

Then he’s upset

What the heck you’re not supposed to lose that’s not supposed to happen

If you didn’t lose to them, however, obviously you’d stick with Judai, Sho, Kenzan, and whoever else was there

I don’t remember it’s been a while since I watched that season leave me alone

Anyway, then we get to the cursed season 3

So how you’d handle Judai’s relationship with Johan depends entirely on how easily you get jealous

If you’re like me then oh boy, after a while of silent jealousy going unnoticed by him he’d get some passive-aggressive rage

And then the school’s teleported away

Just stick with Judai seriously stick with him and the others he’s with and you’ll be fine

Same with the duel zombies

Don’t duel Manjoume or the others don’t do it

Just stay hidden

And oh boy when everything’s ok

It isn’t

Please try to stop him from going back to save Johan it isn’t worth it please stop the rest of season 3 from happening

He does it anyway

You’re the only other person besides Jim and O’Brien who still believe in Judai until bam, Supreme King

Oh god no don’t do it don’t go duel him

He’s back to normal

You’re still shaken because wtf my boyfriend was evil for like 6 episodes

At least you’d still try to help him feel better

I mean come on dueling is his thing he can’t throw that out

Not really much else to say about the rest of this season

Everyone makes it back but then you’re like “JUDAI MIGHT BE DEAD AND WE DON’T KNOW WTF GUYS”

And then he comes back

Love him he’s been through too much

And so season 4 starts

I mostly covered this in my other Judai headcanons so I won’t really touch much on this

Just don’t let him be totally alone he needs to know you still love him

When he leaves Duel Academia and doesn’t tell you, I’d assume you’d be rightfully pissed but that all depends on the kind of person you are

Hopefully by the time you realize, you can catch up to him

If not, spam him with calls

This could end one of two ways

1: You and him meet up and travel together

2: You don’t travel with him but you still call each other and talk all the time in a sort of long-distance relationship

What is in every yugioh series

It isn’t a secret that every yugioh spin off show has similarities with original serie of Duel monsters. But what is never missing in Yu-Gi-Oh??? reincarnation, ghost and Dragons. Yep cause it looks like the creator of yugioh has a fetish not just for card games but for paranormal stuff and fantasy gigant reptiles and a really deep existencial problem… If u don’t believe me, fuck u… hahaha Nah just kidding. If u don’t believe me, i will number some stuff in the series. Then decide if i are with me or i just saying a bunch of crap Let’s begging with DM Yugi Muto (cute little muffin is the reincarnation of our favorite ancient egypcian Pharaoh ATEM (be hold!! The God of sexiness down on Earth inside of a really tight leather pants) that we know is a ghost trapped inside of millenium puzzle until he recovers his lost memories so his spirit can move to the other life. (typical soul that can rest until it full fit his mission the living world). And we the theme of dragons, well we have a rich man with a really big fetish for dragons knows as Kaiba (hahahhahaha) talking seriously at the begging Kaiba is looking to control of the 4 blue eyes white DRAGONS. Then season two and thwrw, writes decide to give our powerfull protagonist more power with the egypcian gods, being the most power off then the winged DRAGON of Ra. Season 4 awakening of the DRAGONS (my point is probe less pass this). Well in the arc of the gran prix Kaiba beat that pink hair guy (don’t remember the name but i really don’t care so moving on) with all his Dragon power so it kinda count. In the final arc they told us the history behind the connection of Kaiba and the blue eyes white DRAGON and when the writers finally remember that Yugi exist they show us one of his aces monsters Gandora DRAGON of destruction. DM CHECKED GX The show star slow, as if the only plot was a bunch of teenagers going to the academy on a volcanic island to kearn how to play card games. But the show actually explote the concept of another world where duel monster live (reference in DM seaso. 4 ;)). And of course after the first 3 (boring) seasons the themes of reincarnation, ghost and dragons is put back in the show. Starting with the search for the beautiful Rainbow DRAGON to the discover of Judai past life as the supreme king and our yandere (half tsudenre) Yubel that fused with our adorable Judai for later appears as ghost in season 4. Not to mention he/she received the power of the DRAGON once he/she was turnd into a monster. GX ✅ Next 5d’s It actually give a contrast of future and past when they mixed that kinda of time with ancient Aztec history. We don’t see the hole reincanation thing until Jack fight that monkey demon when it is revealed that he and Yusei are the legendary signer’s legacy. The ghost past was fooled when Yusei meet his dad and learned what actually happen with Satellite. And the dragon them, the show is called 5d’s, do i have to say more? 5d’s ready Moving on with Zexal. Like most of people i thought this is the disgrace of yugioh. But actually the idea of mixing card games with aliens is actually awesome and funny!!! And the relationship between Yuma and his alien Ghost Astral is prove about it. Bit the plot exploted in zexal 2 when they introduce the Barian’s past and the connection of Galaxy Eyes Photon DRAGON and Galaxy Eyes Takion DRAGON (which is the key to realising Numerous DRAGON) Okey reincarnation in to modern aliens, alient ghost with a mission and DRAGONS ZEXAL DOUBLE CHECKED Finally we have Arc-V. Forgetting all egaos bullshit and interdimensional war. When the mistery of Zarc (rest in peace master, i still miss u) is revealed we have four fragmented reincarnations of the demon duelist and 4 more of Ray (fucking witch). A DRAGON for each dimension and the SUPREME DRAGON KING ZARC fooled the dragon theme and ghost part is all Yuto, Yuri and Yugo at the end (life is unfair 😫😫😫) ARC V ✅✅✅ So there u got. Hope i didn’t bored u with this but i need to get it out of my chest. Bye!!!! This show is about card games 🎶🎶🎶 and also very sexy man!!!!! 🎶🎶🎶🎶(dragons and ghost!!!)
