I'm having another potentially insane idea.

Basically. Certain toons change outfits for the endgame. It's a simple thought, but I gotta pick which toons get a style change and what it means.

For example, by this point, Rodger and Toodles would be back together, and Rodger could finally give her the Jr Detective hat.

For the rehabilitation au what would happen if Rodger saw toodles again?

Glisten and Sprout try to prevent Rodger and Toodles from seeing each other - they know Toodles wouldn't leave him alone if she knew he was there in the lobby. She's one of the few things Rodger would remember.

(Afaik this doodle isn't canon YET).

They aren't entirely sure whether he'd ever let Toodles leave his sight if they saw each other, based on how obsessive he already gets over just Glisten and random objects that he vaguely remembers having an attachment to, so who knows how much it'd be amplified around his own *daughter*? They don't want to risk her being unintentionally hurt by Rodger at all. Plus they don't think it would do her good to see her father in the state he's in at the start of the rehabilitation.

She knows something is up with Sprout and Glisten, though, and the Jr. Detective wants to find out exactly *what.*

Just thought of something, now you have to deal with it. (HC for clarity: Toodles calls Rodger her dad)

Rodger and Watson are talking, probably trying to figure out if the other is plotting their doom, Toodles and Twinkles are playing somewhere else before passing whatever room/hall they're in. Interaction goes as follows:

Twinkles: Oh! And then!- *Sees Watson* Oh! Watson!!! *Excitedly runs to hug him.*

Toodles, already running towards Rodger: DAD!!! *Tackle hugs him at the waist.*

Rodger: Oof! Ahaha! Careful there Jr detective, your dad's got old bones ya menace! *Picks her up to hold her as she starts ranting about her and Twinkles playtime*

Watson and Twinkles: *Both in shock, they aren't at that point in their relationship that they see each other as father/daughter yet.*

(I have a whole scene planned for after this if you wanna hear about it. They haunt me...)

I SHOULD CLARIFY THOUGH .... Watson and twinkles are just as close as rodger and toodles, if not closer :'] Rodger + toodles and watson + twinkles are both very very close in their relationship in a father/daughter way, the only difference is how they treat each other (cough id actually argue watson treats twinkles better than rodger treats toodles)

I love HCing him as her father figure like I’m sure many others do so I hope this gave other people cute aggression like it did me. The little hat and coat are just darling on her!!!!🥰🥰🥰

We also got theeessseee two🥺🥺🥺 Matching salted caramel skins for Sprout and Cosmo??? I know the fruitcake shippers are going wild over them. I know because I’m one of them.

I mean the creator did say there might be like a little romance right? I’m banking it’s on them.
