How do you feel about Ash Ketchum (aka World Champion) retiring from the anime soon?

Very bittersweet :’) On one hand it’s really difficult letting go of a core piece of my childhood, on the other I think we’ve seen p much everything there is to see from Ash’s journey and it’s at a very good stopping point now, so I’m comfortable with his story ending here.

I’m actually very excited to see which direction they go in with the SV anime, and since I absolutely adore SV’s story I really hope they adapt all of that in the new season. It sucks we won’t be able to experience that with Ash but that boy’s been carrying us long enough, I think it’s time he finally gets some rest

You know?#Ash has fulfilled all his goals and we’ve seen him in every situation imaginable #So instead of beating the horse even after it’s dead. I’m glad they’re letting him go here #His journey ended on a really high note and that’s all I could ask from them #I don’t want to see this become a ‘Well the show is popular so we’ll keep making episodes with the same characters’ thing so #Journeys was Ash’s last hurrah. His final go at being a main character #And they did such a good job with him #I really think his ‘maturity’ arc happened throughout Kalos and Alola #So by the time Journeys happened we’d already seen him fully developed as a character #So it was a good way to end his journey.
